The Mythical Land Of Palestine
Palestinian Flag Will Fly Over UNESCO Headquarters
The Palestinian flag will be hoisted Tuesday at UNESCO headquarters, over a month after its admission to the UN cultural agency sparked anger and reprisals from the United States and Israel.
President Mahmud Abbas will travel to Paris to attend the event, which led Washington to pull funding to the UN organisation, and which is seen by many as a step on the Palestinians’ road to eventual UN membership.

The Palestinian flag will be hoisted Tuesday at UNESCO headquarters, over a month after its admission to the UN cultural agency sparked anger and reprisals from the United States and Israel.

Palestinians wave their national flag in front of the headquarters of UNESCO in November 2011.
“President Abbas wants to show the importance he attaches to UNESCO,” said a Palestinian diplomat. “And this is the first time that the flag will be flown at the headquarters of a UN institution.”
The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation says the flag-hoisting is a symbolic ceremony “to mark Palestine’s admission to the organisation” that takes place each time a new member joins.
The Palestinians were admitted to the body in late October, when the UNESCO general assembly voted 107-14 to make Palestine its 195th member.
The result angered the United States, Israel’s staunch ally, which says the Palestinians must first reach a peace agreement with Israel before they can become full members of an international organization.
Washington immediately suspended its funding to the UN body, which selects and oversees World Heritage sites and also works in areas from literacy and media freedom to science and environmental issues.
US President Barack Obama said he had frank and firm words with his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy, voicing US disappointment because Paris had supported the Palestinian UNESCO bid.
The US cash freeze deprived UNESCO of 22 percent of its budget, leaving a hole of $65 million this year and a $143 million shortfall for 2012-2013.
This forced its director general, Irina Bokova, to announce drastic savings, even though some countries pledged exceptional contributions, among them Indonesia with $10 million and Gabon with $2 million.
Israel, for its part, took its own retaliatory measures, by deciding to accelerate settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank and freezing the transfer of funds to the Palestinian Authority.
Every month, Israel transfers tens of millions of dollars in customs duties on Palestinian-bound goods that transit through Israeli ports, but it often freezes them as a punitive measure during disagreements.
Faced with international criticism, Israel later lifted its freeze on the funds which represent a large chunk of the Palestinian Authority’s budget.
UNESCO membership has had no impact on the Palestinians’ bid for full UN membership. They would need nine votes out of 15 in the Security Council, but the United States has made clear that it would veto the bid.
Abbas, who reiterated on December 5 that he would push on with his campaign for UN membership, will meet Sarkozy after the UNESCO ceremony, then go on a tour that takes him to the capitals of Britain and Turkey. source – Yahoo News

Emmanuel Macron Met With Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas In Paris To Discuss The “Full Implementation” Of US-Brokered Gaza Peace Plan
French President Emmanuel Macron met with Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas in Paris to discuss the “full implementation” of the Gaza ceasefire agreement
Just the other day, I remarked on how quiet Emmanuel Macron has been lately while the world has had their eyes firmly glued to the ever-evolving saga of the Epstein Files and the latest Trump incendiary tweets. As it turns out, Macron has been a busy little boy, meeting with Mahmoud Abbas to create a panel to draft a new Constitution of Palestine. A state of Palestine is absolutely coming, your King James Bible tells you so. That’s the memo.
“Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;” Joel 3:4 (KJB)
On one side, you have who we say is the biblical man of sin, Emmanuel Macron, and he’s working tirelessly to create a state of Palestine. On the other side, you have Donald Trump in America, who more and more people are starting to think just might be the Antichrist, getting unanimous approval from the UN Security Council to implement his ‘Board of Peace’ plan for Gaza, So it begs the questions, are we about to see two opposing visions for Gaza and a battle of wills to see who gets the job done first, or, will we witness a stunning merger of forces between Macron and Trump to remake Gaza in their own images? Never, ever a dull moment on the front lines of the end times.
France, Palestinian Authority announce joint panel to draft new Palestine constitution
FROM FRANCE 24: After the meeting, Macron announced that France would launch a joint committee with the Palestinian Authority to draw up a new Palestinian constitution.
“We decided together to establish a joint committee for the consolidation of the state of Palestine,” Macron said, adding that it would “contribute to drawing up a new constitution, a draft of which president Abbas presented to me”.
Abbas said he agreed “to the swift establishment of the constitutional committee”.
Their meeting comes a month into a fragile truce between Hamas and Israel, following two years of war triggered by the Palestinian militant group’s October 7, 2023 attack against Israel. Abbas, 89, is the long-time head of the Palestinian Authority, which exercises limited control over parts of the West Bank and is being considered to assume governance in Gaza under the deal.
The two leaders also discussed Israeli plans for annexation in the West Bank, which Macron described as a “red line”.
“Plans for partial or total annexation, whether legal or de facto, constitute a red line to which we will respond strongly with our European partners,” the French president said. “The violence of the settlers and the acceleration of settlement projects are reaching new heights, threatening the stability of the West Bank and constitute violations of international law,” Macron added.
Brokered by US President Donald Trump, the October 10 ceasefire has been tested by fresh Israeli strikes and claims of Palestinian attacks on Israeli soldiers. Trump said last week he expected an International Stabilisation Force tasked with monitoring the ceasefire to be in Gaza “very soon”. The meeting also followed Macron’s decision in September to recognise a Palestinian state at a United Nations summit – a move the Palestinian Authority hailed as “historic and courageous”. READ MORE

MAN OF THE HOUR: Thanks To Emmanuel Macron, 157 Member Nations Of The United Nations Have Now Recognized Palestine As A Sovereign State
‘In the interest of peace’: global leader Emmanuel Macron recognizes Palestinian state at UN summit as he gets the big win he was looking for
Emmanuel Macron came to the UN General Assembly today looking for a much-needed political win, and he got it in a big way. Thanks to his relentless efforts to create a state of Palestine by the sheer force of his own will, the number of UN member nations now stands at 157, and it’s quite possible that that number will be higher when all the dust settles. Nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize? Absolutely. Actually winning the prize? Highly, highly likely, (sorry, President Trump) and that’s the memo.
“For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.” Revelation 17:17 (KJB)
In doing what he was able to do today, Emmanuel Macron has now firmly set himself up as a global leader that other nations are willing to follow. I would imagine that he is already planning his next move after his second term as president of France starts winding down. Secretary General of the United Nations would be just thing for such a man, don’t you agree? Once recognition of a state of Palestine hits 160, the momentum will be virtually unstoppable. Almost there, almost Home.
‘The beginning of a process’: Western countries recognize Palestinian state at UNGA
“It is the beginning of a renewed commitment to hope, a commitment to diplomacy, to dialogue, to coexistence, and a two-state solution. To the idea fragile, but still possible, that peace can prevail,” Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Luc Frieden said at UNGA. “The effective conduct of diplomatic relations with the new state of Palestine, including the opening of Belgian embassy and the conclusion of international agreements, will be carried out once the objectives of the New York Declaration have been achieved,” Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever said.
Jordan’s King Abdullah II praised Western countries’ recognition of Palestine in his address to the UNGA
“Today, the world has taken an important step toward achieving a just and inclusive peace. This global consensus on a two-state solution sends a message that the conflict must end and that the two-state solution is the only viable resolution,” the Jordanian leader said.
Emmanuel Macron laid out some details of the peace plan France is advancing in parallel to its recognition of a Palestinian state. He urged Israel not to take further actions that thwart the effort and stressed that it will include the dismantlement of Hamas. He said an International Stabilization Force (ISF) will assist in that effort and in preparing the Palestinian Authority to take over governance in the Gaza Strip. The Times of Israel revealed the proposal earlier Monday.

Israel Defense Forces Launch Highly-Controversial Ground Assault On Gaza City As United Nations Prepares To Recognize A State Of Palestine
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed Tuesday that it had launched a controversial and long-expected major ground offensive in Gaza City, as local medics said dozens were killed and injured in strikes
Israel launched a very controversial and highly-invasive ground offensive in Gaza City that was confirmed today as cries of genocide from the United Nations has taken over them headlines. Speaking of the UN, we are a mere 6 days away from Emmanuel Macron and Mohammed bin Salman attempting to create a state of Palestine by fiat. This latest military move by Israel will only serve to strengthen whatever leverage Macron and bin Salman have, and just may push it over the top.
“But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:” Amos 1:7 (KJB)
If you thought that end times tensions in the Middle East couldn’t get any higher or hotter, you’d be mistaken. It’s as if someone asked Benjamin Netanyahu to tell them how he feels about a Palestinian state without mentioning the United Nations or Emmanuel Macron, and this offensive against Gaza City is his answer. While I side with Netanyahu regarding the release of the hostages, Hamas is playing the long game, and this attack will only isolate Israel further from the international community. Numbers 23:9 in your King James Bible says “For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.” Amen, and we are watching that beginning to come to pass.
IDF begins major Gaza City ground offensive targeting Hamas; dozens of Gazans said killed
FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL: The IDF said that it had “begun destroying Hamas infrastructure in Gaza City,” confirming the start of a major military push in the area after heavy bombing overnight. The start of the operation was also confirmed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said that Israel “has begun an intensive operation in Gaza City.”
The premier made the statement at the start of a session in his corruption trial, as he requested to be excused from his regularly scheduled testimony due to the “important things happening.”
In a warning to Palestinian civilians, the military said that Gaza City was “considered a dangerous combat zone,” and once again instructed residents to evacuate the area immediately — as it had repeatedly done in recent days — and head for an Israeli-designated humanitarian zone in the Strip’s south, cautioning that they would be “at risk” if they remained in place.
According to the IDF statement, more than 40 percent of the city’s estimated one million residents have “left the city for their safety and the safety of their loved ones.”
IDF estimates from Tuesday morning indicated that more than 370,000 Palestinians had evacuated Gaza City. But that contradicted a UN estimate issued earlier in the day that said around 220,000 Palestinians had fled northern Gaza over the past month.
Thousands were estimated to have left the city overnight amid a heavy wave of airstrikes, an Israeli defense source said. The source said that the rate of Palestinian civilians leaving Gaza City would likely increase as the IDF’s ground offensive to conquer the city progresses.
Last week, the IDF ordered Palestinians in all areas of Gaza City to evacuate immediately ahead the offensive. However, moving can be costly, and space is at a premium in the overcrowded south of the Strip. Many had said they would not leave, exhausted from repeated displacement over the course of the 23-month-old war. READ MORE
