Operation Africa! ramping up as Bibles Behind Bars reaches a fever pitch as chaplains all across the United States reach out for Bibles and books

Operation Africa! is off to a wonderful start, with hundreds of Bibles already delieverd and hundreds more going out this week. We are preparing to plant two churches, one in Uganda and one in Kenya, exciting stuff! But in the midst of all that, a flurry of Jails and Prisons have also reached out, looking for Bibles in King James English and in RVG Spanish.

“Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.” Hebrews 13:3 (KJB)

Here are just a few of the places we are sending Bibles to this month:

Chaplain Don Parton from the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office wrote and said “I am a Capt. with our department and one of my functions is Director of programs for inmates, also oversee our Reentry division. We would appreciate some Bibles in English and Spanish our facilities house 566 inmates with a population of 30% Spanish. Thank You!” 

Chaplain Jason Cizek from the Danville City Jail wrote telling us “I oversee 4 jails with Danville being the largest. Altogether there’s about 500 inmates. Every piece of literature is gifted from donors. My goal is to consistently be able to supply Bibles to those incarcerated. Thank you.”

Chaplain Don Gillis from the Irwin County Detention Center, a facility that had closed during COVID and now reopened under Trump’s new immigration policy, wrote and said “Hello, we house immigration detainees for Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE). We are a relatively small facility having an 1100 bed capacity. The number of detainees being processed through our facility has increased greatly over the last couple of years. I allow and encourage the detainees to take their Bibles with them, if needed, when they leave our facility. This creates a constant need to resupply my inventory. I have been able to secure enough English Bibles but am unable to keep up with the demand for Spanish versions. I am, as of now, completely out of Spanish Bibles. Any help you could give will be greatly appreciated!” 

The Lord has filled our plate to overflowing with the sending out of thousands of King James Bibles, RVG Spanish Bibles, scripture portions, gospel tracts and Christian books and literature. All sent out at completely no charge to the chaplains receiving it at the facilities where they work. ‘Operation Africa’ Begins As NTEB Plants King James Bible Believing Churches In Uganda And Kenya To Preach The Gospel In The Closing Moments Of The Church Age

Now The End Begins is launching ‘Operation Africa’ as part of our much larger end-times missionary effort to preach, teach, evangelize, disciple, and plant Bible-believing works in the Gospel Ministry while there is still time. This is not missions as a slogan, this is not charity as a photo opportunity, and this is not religious activity for the sake of appearances. This is Bible believing, gospel preaching, King James Bible ministry on the mission field, carried out in the closing moments of the Church Age. Come help us!

“As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.” Acts 13:2,3 (KJB)

In Uganda, we are working right now to plant the Bible Believers Church of Kanungu with recently ordained minister Irad Biryomumesho, a man called to labor among his own people with the word of God in his hand and the gospel of the grace of God in his heart. He will be their pastor and shepherd. In Kenya, we are also working to plant the Bible Believers Church of Kisii, which will be headed up by Pastor Dancan, another faithful laborer stepping into the harvest field at a time when the need is overwhelming and the hour is late. We have been raising money for Bibles, and sending them out as new shipments arrive daily. Now we need to raise about $25,000 to erect either a permanent tent, or pole barn, under which church services can be held for both church in Uganda and Kenya. That money will also go to supply each church with everything they need to preach, teach and evangelize. Christian, this is the greatest open door that God has given us since the founding of the Bibles Behind Bars program. Our goal is to raise the money, put up the tents, and establish both churches by the time of the Camp Meeting in September. After The Gideons Said No To Pastor Dancan In Kenya, God Opened The Door For NTEB To Send Hundreds Of Bibles To Glory Fellowship Church In Kisii

Last week, we told you about Pastor Dancan at the Glory Fellowship Church in Kisii, Kenya, and the incredible and sad story he told us of reaching out to The Gideons for Bibles only to be told no. How could we step in and help where the Gideons could not? Well, as it turns out, God has kicked open the door for us in Kenya, and hundreds of Bibles are flowing to Glory Fellowship, with Lord willing, hundreds more. We are halfway to our goal of sending the 823 Bibles, one for each member of the church.

“That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:17 (KJB)

After he recieved the first shipment of Bibles from us, Pastor Dancan wrote and told us this – “Pastor, it was a wonderful moment. More than 700 people came seeking Bibles, and we thank God that 200 people were able to receive one. Many others were moved to tears because they also desired to have a Bible, but we encouraged them to keep praying and trusting God to provide more in the coming days. Thank you so much for this great support and help. May God richly bless you for being a blessing to this community!” He sent us a video of a man, 80 years old, holding the Bible we gave him, (below wearing brown stripes) and it was the first time he had ever held a Bible in his hands, much less owned one. Wrap your head around that! Here is what it looked like when the first shipment was unboxed and handed out – pure joy!

Right now, we have reached the halfway point, and in a week no less! So many, many thanks to all of you praying and donating to this outreach, it’s truly amazing. We still have another 423 Bibles to send out, and need your help to do it. It will take $4,500 to send the remaining Bibles, and we will be sending them out by faith in the next few days. God has kicked open wide the door to Kenya, and have given us liberty and favor to send these Bibles out. Come help us, we need you!!
