MSNBC star Joy Reid claims that homophobic comments on her old blog, “The Reid Report,” were not written by her — despite the fact that she has already apologized for much of the rhetoric.

EDITOR’S NOTE: If this had happened to a Conservative blogger who now worked for Fox News, the story of articles that had glaringly anti-homosexual comments would be blared in the headlines of the fake news media all day every day. But because it involves a Liberal commentator, she gets a total free pass. A quick Google search shows the story on sites like The Intercept, Fox News and Sputnik, but you’ll never read about it on CNN, MSNBC, HuffPost or any of the other fake news sites. Reid apologized last December when the old blog posts — unearthed by a Twitter user and reported by Mediaite — came to light. Less than five months later, Reid is changing her tune and told Mediaite that the homophobic content does “not represent the original entries” on her site, essentially claiming archives were hacked.

Reid allegedly published a dozen blog posts from 2007-2009 containing remarks that are highly offensive to the LGBTQ community. MSNBC prides itself on being progressive, and Reid’s alleged decade-old comments directly contradict the network’s typical direction.

The old blog targeted former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, who Reid mocked as “Miss Charlie,” for being gay and closeted, even though there is no proof to back her claims. The posts fanned rumors of Crist’s sexual orientation and his political opponents tried to tar him with the gossip during his governorship — when he was a Republican.

Mediaite reported that it received links to Reid’s old blog through the Wayback Machine, an internet archiving service. Reid apologized at the time, admitting she wrote the homophobic slurs.

PREVIOUS APOLOGY: “This note is my apology to all who are disappointed by the content of blogs I wrote a decade ago, for which my choice of words and tone have legitimately been criticized,” the MSNBC star wrote on Dec. 3. “I regret the way I addressed the complex issue of the closet and speculation on a person’s sexual orientation with a mocking tone and sarcasm. It was insensitive, tone deaf and dumb. There is no excusing it.”

Additional anti-gay posts from the now-defunct blog were discovered last week, and the Wayback Machine has reportedly, mysteriously removed access to Reid’s old archives – but an internet sleuth preserved screen shots. Reid’s latest statement to Mediaite backtracks on the original apology and claims that archives of her site had been tampered with.

CURRENT DENIAL: “In December I learned that an unknown, external party accessed and manipulated material from my now-defunct blog, The Reid Report, to include offensive and hateful references that are fabricated and run counter to my personal beliefs and ideology,” Reid told Mediaite. “The manipulated material seems to be part of an effort to taint my character with false information by distorting a blog that ended a decade ago.”

Reid also claims that she is working with a cybersecurity expert, notified federal law enforcement officials and blames any pain dished out to the LGBTQ community on “whoever corrupted the site.”

The Justice Department did not immediately respond when asked to verify Reid’s claim. MSNBC did not immediately respond when asked for comment.

“It’s unclear when the nefarious hackers would have hacked her site and added the controversial content, since it has been defunct for years and still is. More importantly, NBC could or would not specify exactly which posts Reid is claiming were doctored,” Mediaite’s Caleb Ecarma wrote.

The Wayback Machine did not respond to requests for comment.

When reached last year, MSNBC declined to comment regarding whether Reid was going to be disciplined for her site’s apparent homophobic remarks and anti-gay jokes shortly after they were unearthed. MSNBC did not immediately respond when asked on Monday if the network would investigate her new claims.

It’s easy to see why Reid would want to distance herself from the offensive post, as Rachel Maddow, MSNBC’s most-watched host and cash cow, is openly gay.

The old blog post belittled Crist as dreading physical relations with his wife on their honeymoon and even included a joke about Crist having sex with Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. Reid commented in the blog that Crist got married to a woman in the first place to help him become McCain’s 2008 running mate. Mediaite counted 17 times Reid’s blog derisively referred to Crist as “Miss Charlie,” and the subject led her to opine on why gay men stay in the closet.

“When a gay politician gets married, it usually indicates that he is highly ambitious, and desires to put himself in a position to move up the power ladder,” The Reid Report stated.

The blog further mocked Crist with tags “gay politicians” and “not gay politicians.” The alleged posts were written at the time when Crist was a conservative Republican. Back in 2012, Crist joined the Democratic Party and endorsed Barack Obama for re-election.

Reid’s old blog also defended a series of controversial homophobic comments made by former NBA star Tim Hardaway and Marine General Peter Pace and attempted to out then-closeted gay men Anderson Cooper and Clay Aiken. The website also questioned or made jokes about the sexuality of Karl Rove, Tom Cruise, Sean Hannity, Heath Ledger, Dick Cheney, George W. Bush, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Queen Latifah, Eddie Murphy and Keith Olbermann, among others, according to Mediaite.

The Reid Report reportedly even mocked the sexuality of her now-superstar colleague, Maddow.

Reid is now a liberal hero and prominent voice of the #Resistance movement, but it appears that she is either being dishonest about the archives being hacked or was disingenuous when originally admitting to the homophobic rhetoric.

Trump Calls Xi A Good Friend As China’s Communist Strongman Invokes The Thucydides Trap And Places Taiwan Squarely In The Crosshairs

Xi Jinping did not casually mention the Thucydides Trap, he chose it like a dagger wrapped in silk. The very mention of it is a taunt to the American president. That phrase describes the moment when a rising power challenges an established power and the pressure between them makes war more likely. Xi knows exactly what that means. In that framework, China is the rising power, America is the aging empire, and Taiwan is the tripwire. So when Xi raises the Thucydides Trap in front of Trump, while Taiwan is sitting at the center of the talks, he is not merely warning against conflict. He is showing open aggression to Washington with the possibility that China’s rise may now be unstoppable.

That is what makes Trump’s “it’s an honor to be your friend” language so dangerous and so revealing. Xi is not Trump’s friend. Xi is the Communist ruler of a nation that believes Taiwan belongs under Beijing’s control, and he is reminding the American president that history has a pattern: the old power resists, the new power presses, and somewhere between fear and ambition the shooting starts. China wants America to “manage” the rivalry by backing away from Taiwan. America wants to preserve its Pacific order without triggering war. But Taiwan cannot be both surrendered and defended at the same time.

FROM THE NY POST: President Trump and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, were all smiles and full of public praise for each other at the start of their much-anticipated summit meeting here Thursday. A very different story began to emerge behind closed doors after Xi continually pressed the issue of Taiwan, the self-governing, democratic island that China claims as its own. The mid-morning sit-down ran long — about 40 minutes over its scheduled time. Trump was notably quieter at the leaders’ next stop, the 15th-century Temple of Heaven. He ignored shouted questions, and the body language of both presidents was noticeably stiffer. The Chinese quickly put out their version of the reasons why.

“President Xi stressed to President Trump that the Taiwan question is the most important issue in China-US relations,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning wrote on X soon after the meeting broke up. “If it is handled properly, the bilateral relationship will enjoy overall stability. Otherwise, the two countries will have clashes and even conflicts, putting the entire relationship in great jeopardy. “Taiwan independence’ and cross-Strait peace are as irreconcilable as fire and water,” Mao went on. “Safeguarding peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait is the biggest common denominator between China and the US.”

The White House did not release its own readout of the bilateral meeting for several hours — and that statement made no mention of Taiwan. Communications director Steven Cheung refused to talk about the topic when reporters for The Post and other outlets saw him at the state banquet, instead directing them to the official statement. President Donald Trump has appointed Kevin Warsh to chair the Federal Reserve, and Warsh is not some outsider brought in to dismantle the system. He is a former Federal Reserve governor, a Wall Street-connected insider, and a former member of the Bilderberg Group Steering Committee — one of the elite private forums long associated with globalist power, transatlantic policy shaping, and the New World Order agenda. That means the so-called “America First” revolution has now placed a Bilderberg-connected financier over the most powerful central bank in the world.

“Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.” James 5:3 (KJB)

The Federal Reserve is not just another government institution. The New York Times reports that nations were bracing Monday for prolonged economic pain after President Trump rejected Iran’s latest offer to end the war and reopen Hormuz, calling it “garbage” and declaring the cease-fire to be “on massive life support.” What began as a military confrontation in the Middle East is now rapidly becoming a global economic event.
