Speaking at President Gerald Ford’s alma mater, The Rev. Jesse Jackson called for President Obama to issue a blanket pardon to Hillary Clinton before he leaves office, just like Ford did for Richard Nixon.

Stopping short of saying Clinton did anything wrong, Jackson told a large crowd of University of Michigan students, faculty and administrators gathered at daylong celebration of his career that Obama should short-circuit President-elect Donald Trump’s promised attempt to prosecute Hillary Clinton for use of a private e-mail server.

“It would be a monumental moral mistake to pursue the indictment of Hillary Clinton,” Jackson said. He said issuing the pardon could help heal the nation, like Ford’s pardon of Nixon did.

Would Obama pardon Clinton before he leaves office?

“President Ford said we don’t need him for trophy. We need to move on. President Nixon wasn’t convicted of a crime. He didn’t apply for a pardon. (Ford) did it because he thought it would be best for the country.

“Hillary Clinton has not been tried, but there are those who want to drag her for the next three years. It will not stop until they find a reason to put her in jail. That would be a travesty.”

In 1974, Ford, a University of Michigan alumnus, issued a full and complete pardon of Nixon for any crimes he may have committed. He said the pardon was in the best interests of the nation.

Jackson’s comments came at the end of a long day in Ann Arbor, which included him dropping in on an anti-Trump rally held by students on campus.

Jackson comes to a campus that is full of strife over race. Numerous racist flyers have been posted and students have alleged they have been attacked because they are Muslim or a minority. There have been anti-Trump marches on U-M’s campus, along with campuses across the nation. A large demonstration marched through a series of U-M buildings even while Jackson was speaking.

Students “are growing up in an America that is in an identity crisis,” Jackson said. “These demonstrations are born out of fear. Fear that the Klan will ride again. Fear that violence (against minorities) is coming back.

“In this election, voters voted for fear. I think hope will defeat hate, but it’s a battle.”

In a conversation with the Free Press at the beginning of the day, he blamed Trump for the environment of fear.

Donald Trump saw an America that was a dry field, and instead of watering it to get the grass growing again, he threw a lit match on it, Jackson said.

Now it’s up to Trump to take action, Jackson added.

“The one who set the field afire must be the one to put it out,” he told the Free Press in a one-on-one interview. “He had the option to pour water on it (the dry field) and let it grow. He didn’t do that — he chose to light it on fire. One of my concerns is that we see the division in America now because of that. We see classmates, roommates in a conflict over the way the campaign turned out.

“He knows Mexicans didn’t take jobs from us. It was the corporations. He knows you can’t deport 15 million (immigrants). It’s not just about the adults, but also about the children who were born here, grew up here and go to school here.”

Jackson told students not to give up the struggle.

“Students, don’t let them take your hope. Deep water doesn’t drown you. You drown because you stop kicking. There is a tug of war for the soul of America. Do we want to be an aristocracy or a democracy? To be silent is to betray your conscience. You must not be silent in the face of violation of human rights.” source

Donald Trump keeps telling America that we are living in a “Golden Age,” but that is not what the American people are living through. The people are staring at grocery bills that feel like car payments, insurance premiums that look like mortgage notes, gas prices that refuse to return to sanity, and an economy where every basic necessity has become a monthly ambush. This is not a golden age. This is an age of deception, where the man at the podium tells you everything is wonderful while your wallet, your bank account, your pantry, and your bills testify against him.

America is being asked to applaud its own collapse and call it revival. The people are being told to cheer while the cost of living rises, the surveillance state expands, the debt explodes, and the world watches a once-great nation stagger under the weight of its own corruption. That is not a golden age. That is the age of deception. America’s White House has become the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda, and today we show you just how bad things have become.

Zohran Mamdani As The Socialist Kingmaker Is Turning New York Into A Political Machine As The Democratic Party’s Left Wing Gains Real Power

You talk about irony, man, this is one for the record books. As America is already knee-deep in celebrations of our 250th year of our founding as a Constitutional Republic, the recently-elected Socialist mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani has launched a coup. House Democrats were left stunned on Tuesday night after two of their colleagues — including the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus — lost primaries to left-wing, Mamdani-backed Socialist challengers. Like it or not, we’ve now come face to face with National Democratic Socialism under the leadership of a fiery, Jew-hating, charismatic leader. Hmm, what does that remind you of? Achtung!, America, the wolf is at the door, and he’s hungry.

On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, Trump’s declaration that “America the Beautiful will NEVER be a Communist Country!!!” may sound like a bold defense of the Republic, but it collapses under the weight of his own actions. You cannot publicly warn America about communism while publically lending credibility to the most prominent Socialist mayor in the country. That is not conviction, that is contradiction. Mamdani does not need Trump to endorse his ideology; he only needs Trump to normalize his presence, elevate his status, and treat him as a legitimate governing partner. And Trump has done exactly that. Once that happened, the Socialist left has already gained something far more valuable than applause: respectability. This is how radical movements advance in America. They do not usually arrive wearing the uniform of revolution; they arrive through elections, headlines, photo-ops, federal meetings, political compromise, and carefully managed public relations. A man can be denounced as dangerous on Monday and then treated as a respectable stakeholder on Tuesday, and suddenly the line between opposition and accommodation disappears. Trump may think he is controlling the narrative by calling Mamdani a communist, but the more he centers him, meets with him, and speaks of him as someone he can work with, the more Mamdani becomes a national figure instead of merely a New York City Democratic Socialist. The real danger is not only Zohran Mamdani’s socialism, but the broader collapse of moral clarity in the American political class. At 250 years old, America is not being threatened merely because radicals are running for office; she is being threatened because too many leaders who claim to oppose radicalism are helping make it respectable. Today we visit the Democratic Socialist Revolution underway in America, and show you just what that might mean for our immediate, short-term future.
