Christian Soldier And Bible Teacher Peter S. Ruckman Gets Orders To Return Home
Today, April 21, 2016 at 11:30 AM, Christian soldier and Bible teacher Peter S. Ruckman got his orders to go Home.

Peter Ruckman was, without a doubt, one of the finest Bible teachers the Lord ever put on this earth. He believed THE BOOK, and didn’t think he or anyone else had the right to ‘mess with it’.
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
It must have been sometime back in the mid-90’s, when I was introduced to a brother by the name of Scott Lyman. Scott attended a small Baptist church near where I lived, and he was excited to hand me a Bible teaching cassette tape from someone by the name of Peter Ruckman of Pensacola, Florida. That was my introduction to the ‘good doctor’ of scripture.
Over the years, I would purchase many such tapes from Dr. Ruckman, then DVD’s, and finally an entire library shelf of his Bible commentaries. Another brother, Dave Gervins, who used to be my mailman when I was a kid, would move him and his family to Pensacola and attend the Bible school there, PBI. He is still there today as the song leader for the worship services.

THIS WAS MY VERY OWN PERSONAL VIEW OF DR.RUCKMAN’S PREACHING, AUGUST 2013, SITTING BEHIND THE PIANO WAITING FOR THE INVITATION TO BE GIVEN FOR PEOPLE TO GET SAVED.
In recent years, the Lord blessed me by allowing me to play the piano during the invitation of services preached by Dr. Ruckman, some of the last he would ever preach in Jacksonville, and I did that nearly a dozen times over a 3 year period. These are my memories of Dr. Ruckman. But that’s not all.
By his own admission he was gruff, tough and ‘uncivilized’ around the edges. He often said that we wished his students would deal with people better than he himself did. He was quite a character to say the least. But let me tell you what else he was. Peter Ruckman was, without a doubt, one of the finest Bible teachers the Lord ever put on this earth. He believed THE BOOK, and didn’t think he or anyone else had the right to ‘mess with it’.
Saved by the Blood of the Crucified One:
Worship service at Bad Attitude Baptist Blowout September 2010 , Bible Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida. You can see my old mailman Bro. Dave leading the singing! This is the same song we play during our Sunday night radio Bible studies.
Doc taught me about the doctrines of Eternal Security, the Judgment Seat of Christ, and the Pretribulation Rapture. His passion for street evangelism is one of the reasons I am a street preacher today and have been since 2012. He put his teachings right out there on the table, with all ’52 cards straight up’ where anyone who wanted the Truth could get the truth.
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13 (KJV)
Today, April 21, 2016 at 11:30 AM, Christian soldier and Bible teacher Peter S. Ruckman got his orders to go Home. The Jesus he preached about every day of his life since 1949 is right in front of him right now. He didn’t live long enough to be taken up in the Rapture, but I don’t think he’s complaining.
You see, Pete Ruckman is safe in the arms of Jesus, and he wouldn’t want to come back here for anything in the world. Thank you for your service, sir, and for teaching me the Bible. I sure do appreciate it.
Think I’ll go street preaching…”what a thing, man, what a thing.”
