Aren’t you glad that, as a regular reader of NTEB, you know the truth well in advance of the mainstream media who may or may not decide to give it to you? We told you last year how Pope Pius XII worked to enable Adolf Hitler to carry out his demonic plan to kill the entire race of Jews in Europe. Not only that, Pope Pius XII also allowed Hitler to get rid of Germany’s Roman Catholic population as well. Hey Roman Catholics, how about them apples? Still think the pope, any pope, is the ‘vicar of Christ’?

“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The big con that the Vatican is currently trying to pull off is admitting yes, there have been abuses in the past but that’s not happening today. They are willing to admit to a little bit of ‘ecclesiastical transgression’ but that’s all in the past, so it doesn’t really matter. Flash-forward to 2020 where you have Pope Francis lying and covering up for pedophile priests while blessing the pagan Catholics in the Amazon and rubber stamping his approval on Gaia worship. Not only that, he changed the name of the Holy See Vatican Secret Archive to make its connection with the Nazis harder to spot.

That Pope Francis is a busy little bee, and when the Vatican releases the Pope Pius XII documents on March 2, I expect he’s only going to get busier.

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: For his critics, Pope Pius XII is a figure who repeatedly failed to take a strong stance against Hitler or in favor of the Jews. For his defenders, he was a spiritual leader who did his best to work silently to protect the Roman Catholic and to allow its representatives to operate in secret to help those in need.

The pope’s role vis-à-vis the Nazi and fascist regimes, and the extermination of Jews, have been at the center of many disputes over the years. These disputes have often transcended the borders of historical research.

Considering that some of the documents were previously made accessible, it remains to be seen whether the Vatican’s decision will help solve the controversy.

“I believe that the opening of the archive is a symbolic gesture, I doubt that it will bring significant changes to what is known,” Prof. Manuela Consonni, chair of Holocaust Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Department of Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry, told The Jerusalem Post. “I’m not saying that nothing interesting will come out of it,” she said. “I think we will find documents that will support better what we know about him.”

HOW POPE PIUS XII AND THE VATICAN HELPED ADOLF HITLER AND THE NAZIS TO NEARLY REALIZE THEIR GOAL OF A ‘FINAL SOLUTION’ FOR EUROPE’S JEWS

Consonni said part of the reason the church did not take a stronger stance against Nazism and fascism was that it felt more affinity with those regimes than with communism, which it considered a greater danger.

“I do not believe that Pius XII wanted the Jews to be annihilated,” she said. “He was silent because he was indifferent, because he was not so interested. Even if scholars were to discover that he secretly did more than what we know so far, this doesn’t change the situation: As pope, he should have raised his voice publicly. It was his moral duty.”

Iael Nidam-Orvieto, director of the International Institute for Holocaust Research at Yad Vashem, expressed satisfaction regarding the possibilities offered to researchers by the opening of the archives.

“All the research that has been carried out on Pius XII so far has been based on very limited documents, while historians did not have access to the main bulk of material,” she told the Post. “Therefore, we can say that our insight on such a controversial topic has been only partial. For this reason, I believe that this is a very important step.”

Nidam-Orvieto said it is going to take many years to reach a fuller picture. “Research is a long process,” she said. “We will have to wait and see. I also believe, like many others, that we are not going to find any revolutionary document,” she said. “I don’t think that history is made through such things, but instead through vast bulks of material that enable better understandings.”

The archives will allow historians to shed new light on issues such as the pope’s policies and strategies, Nidam-Orvieto said, and also his relationship with religious orders and emissaries in different countries and the situation in those countries.

“All of these topics are crucial, and new questions will be opened as well,” she said. “Pius XII is a controversial figure, and this is not going to disappear. But we are going to be much more knowledgeable.”

The question of how the pope acted during the Holocaust is not only important to scholars.

On October 16, 1943, the Nazis raided the Jewish neighborhood in Rome and arrested more than 1,000 people. Many hoped Pius XII might intervene in favor of the local Jews to prevent their deportation. He did not. That is why for Rome’s Jews, who still live and thrive around the same square where their parents and grandparents were rounded up, this is not only a matter of historical research, Rome Chief Rabbi Riccardo Di Segni told the Post.

“The Jews of Rome lived under the rule of the pope for centuries,” he said. “They got rid of it in 1870. But there was always a very peculiar relationship, which reached its dramatic culmination under the Nazi occupation.” Another 1,000 Jews were arrested in the months following the October 16 raid, he added.

“Over 2,000 people were deported from Rome, and, as it is well-known, the Vatican never protested,” Di Segni said. “At the same time, monasteries and convents opened their doors to Jews. The church’s behavior was ambiguous. This has caused very strong reactions among Roman Jews, leaving aside the question of what the pope did or failed to do during the Holocaust in general.”  Di Segni portrayed Pius XII as a “gray” figure.

“There are those who want to make him a saint and those who consider him a completely negative figure,” he said. “I think that his personality and story are very controversial, and gray is therefore the most suited color to describe him.”

However, Di Segni said a less discussed aspect of the pontificate of Pius XII has proven to be far more clear-cut: the pope’s attitude toward the Jewish people after the war and until his death in 1958, a period from which documents are also going to be made public by the Vatican.

“The problems around Pius XII did not end with the war,” he told the Post. “Afterwards, he acted in a way that revealed very little sympathy, if not hostility, towards the Jewish people in many circumstances. He did not allow the restitution of baptized Jewish children who had been hidden in convents, did not show any support for the foundation of the State of Israel, was not receptive to those in the church who were reconsidering the teaching of contempt against the Jews, nor to the idea of abolishing the expression ‘evil Jews’ from the liturgy.” READ MORE

Pastor Joe and his team have been faithfully serving for 31 years with their group at the Gordon County Jail, and Bibles are nearly impossible to come by now

The jails in North Georgia are reaping a Bible bonanza as requests are flooding in and King James Bibles are being sent back out. So far, we have supplied Bibles and books to The Floyd County Jail, the Houston County Detention Center, the Cheetooga County Jail, the Whitfield County Jail and the Murray County Jail. This week, we’ve received additional requests from the Gordon County Jail and the Catoosa County Jail. All these facilities are located throughout north and central Georgia.

Over at Gordon County, Pastor Joe wrote to tell us this “For the past 31 years, a team of Preachers & some women go in every Tuesday Night from 7 to 9:30pm at the Gordon County Jail in Calhoun, GA. To preach, Testify, or just talk to the in mates. I have not kept a number on the Bible’s. But this year we have gone through 4 distributors. We are having a hard time getting bibles now.” We hear that from so many chaplains and jail workers now, that it’s nearly impossible for the smaller jails – 150 to 550 inmates – to get their hands on much-needed Bibles and Christian literature. Pastor Joe and his team have been faithfully serving for 31 years with their group at the Gordon County Jail, and it’s an honor to help the supply lines open for them and all the others that Bibles Behind Bars serves. They need 500 Bibles. The Catoosa County Jail is the most recent facility to come aboard, and Bro. Roger there says “we have 250 inmates average, we need 50 Bibles for the meeting rooms and 100 to give to inmates as they request them. We need 10 Spanish Bibles.  We don’t have that many arrests of Hispanics. Weekly, we preach to around 100. Whatever you can give us is very much appreciated”.

As if all this wasn’t enough, the Lord has also led Project South Africa to our door, they have a shipping container heading out from Statesboro, Georgia in a few weeks, and would dearly love us to put a couple of thousand King James Bibles onboard. Wow, our cup truly is running over with opportunity to serve the Lord. To fully finance these three requests, it will take somewhere between $10-12,000 that will purchase between 2,500 to 3,500 King James Bibles divided up among the 3 groups. PROJECT SOUTH AFRICA: The Same Church Planting Group Connected To Kidnapped Missionary Josh Sullivan Has Reached Out To Us For Help With Bibles

Project South Africa is in need of Bibles and has reached out to us for help with getting God’s preserved word there in abundance

Do you remember a few months ago the incredible story of American church planting missionary Josh Sullivan who was kidnapped and held for ransom in South Africa? When the call to pray for his safe return went out across social media, millions of Christians held their breath and fervently prayed for his safe return. Amazingly and miraculously, the Lord did just that. Now that same collective of missionaries have reached out to us asking for help in putting King James Bibles in a container heading to Africa shortly.

“And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.” Acts 8:27-29 (KJB)

Today I received an email from Bro. Kevin Hall, he and Bro. Mark Coffey work with a group called Project South Africa, they help to plant churches and maintain a Bible college called Bay Baptist Bible College of Port Elizabeth in South Africa. Josh Sullivan teaches Bible in that school, and is part of this amazing team of people evangelizing South Africa. Bro. Kevin wrote to me and said “I spoke to you this morning about Bibles for our container being shipped to South Africa. Pastor Rick Spence of Dalton, GA gave me your contact info as you had supplied him with Bibles for jail ministry in North Georgia. Vision Baptist Missions is the mission board under which myself, and Mark Coffey work. Mark is the one organizing the container. A ministry called Directline Ministries is helping with the shipping of the container. Josh Sullivan is a fellow laborer in our city. We work together. He is a friend, fellow church planter and teaches in our shared Bible College.” So not only is the Lord having us supply virtually all the jails in North Georgia with Bibles, now it would seem He’d like us to send some to South Africa, as well.

The Lord sure is funny sometimes, isn’t He? One day we’re all praying for Josh Sullivan to be returned home safely, and the next those same people are reaching out to us asking for help with sending Bibles to South Africa. Depending on how much we raise, I’d like us to send a minimum of 1,000 Bibles (cost $3,590) up to perhaps 2,500 Bibles (cost $8,975). But we can’t do it without your help.
