A convicted child rapist is reportedly to be released from prison in Iowa because he is no longer deemed a threat since he began transgender hormone treatments.

FROM BREITBART NEWS: The Storm Lake Times reported in November that Joseph Matthew Smith, 23, a former Midwest Christian Services (MCS) student, convicted of as many as 15 sex crimes against victims whose ages ranged from 1 to 13 years, was sentenced to prison in December 2015.
On January 16, the Times reported a spokesman from the Iowa attorney general’s office said they are “no longer seeking” Smith’s commitment because “an offender’s hormone levels are an important part of substantiating an offender’s likelihood of recidivism.”
“We don’t believe we have evidence sufficient to prove Josie Smith has a significant chance of reoffending,” spokesman Lynn Hicks said.
According to the report:
Smith has received treatment for gender reassignment over the past two years at Newton Correctional Facility. She first expressed a desire to “get started on transgender classification” in October 2017 and started using female pronouns.
Smith has expressed a preference to identify as Josie, according to court documents.

An Iowa Department of Corrections spokesman said Smith was transferred on Saturday to the Sioux City Residential Treatment Facility for transitional release. He did not say when Smith will be released.
Hicks minimized any concerns the public might have regarding Smith’s release.
“Josie Smith will be subject to strict sex-offender reporting required of those who commit the crimes she did,” Hicks said. “She’ll be subject to supervision for the rest of her life.”
The Times said a preliminary report by Dr. Jeffrey Davis, who is described as a state “expert,” states, “The likelihood of re-offending within five years of release exceeded 20% because victims were of both genders, and because Smith was under age 25 and never had a long-term relationship.”
“Mr. Smith has not had an intimate relationship,” the report is said to assert. “His sexual encounters appear to have primarily involved molestation, including his own molestation by multiple perpetrators, or his victimization of others.”
Smith, who spent his childhood in Louisiana, was reportedly molested repeatedly since age seven.
According to the Times, the report recommended that Smith be sent to the Cherokee Civil Commitment Unit for Sex Offenders (CCUSO) for an unspecified period of time. The news story noted, however, the recommendation “was premised upon Smith having the sex drive of a man.”
Dr. Tracy Thomas, a forensic psychologist who once served as clinical director of CCUSO, said that, according to Iowa statute, civil commitment requires the state to “essentially prove an offender has a chance offending greater than 51% for the rest of his life.”
“That becomes harder to prove when an offender significantly lowers his testosterone levels, which has a significantly higher impact on sex drive than estrogen,” the Times wrote. Thomas said there are no women sex offenders at CCUSO.
“From an evaluator’s standpoint, our recommendation is based on whether someone is more than likely to re-offend,” Thomas said. “Between 5 percent and 15 percent of sex offenders re-offend, so it takes an extraordinarily high burden to prove someone has a 51 percent chance.”
Many public commentators expressed shock at the report of the decision to release Smith, including transgender Blaire White, who said in a video message, “This is a disgusting and dangerous precedent”:

One thing that I think people should probably be educated upon especially, people making decisions like releasing convicts into the general public, probably should know that rape, sexual assault, molestation has almost as much to do with power and just being a sadistic individual that wants to hurt someone for their own gratification then it does like sexual gratification.
Being trans or being on a particular hormone does not erase anything you have ever done, and this is just a disgusting, offensive, like, horrific precedent being set, and I hope, you know, those of you in the LGBT community like myself, speak out about this because this cannot be something that happens. As if on cue, France’s Emmanuel Macron has now joined Germany’s Frank-Walter Steinmeier in sounding the alarm that Donald Trump is “destroying the world order” by pulling the United States out of a long list of U.N.-linked agreements and institutions they proudly wear as badges of global virtue. Macron, Steinmeier, the U.N., the EU — all of them are architects and defenders of the same framework that conditions the world to accept centralized authority “for the greater good.”

FROM METRO UK: The Trump administration announced it wouldn’t take part in the UN’s population agency, international climate negotiations, UN Women and other organisations. Many of the targets are UN-related agencies that focus on issues the Trump administration has categorised as catering to diversity and ‘woke’ intiatives’. Other non-UN organisations on the list include the Partnership for Atlantic Cooperation, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance and the Global Counterterrorism Forum.
The move has been slammed by international leaders, with French President Emmanuel Macron saying the US is ‘breaking free from international rules’ and ‘gradually turning away’ from some of its allies.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier went further, saying America was destroying the world order.

In the executive order signed by Trump, posted on the White House website, it reads: ‘After deliberating with my Cabinet, have determined that it is contrary to the interests of the United States to remain a member of, participate in, or otherwise provide support to these organisations.’
This July, Trump pulled the US out of UNESCO over its support for what he calls ‘woke causes’.
The State Department accused UNESCO of having ‘a globalist, ideological agenda for international development at odds with our America First foreign policy’. Question of the Day: What do Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller, Miller, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and Army Secretary Dan Driscoll all have in common? They have recently moved themselves and their families into military housing normally reserved for generals and high-ranking military officers. Seeing as all these people are civilians, why is this happening? When you add to that Trump’s call yesterday for a massively increased military budget, it sure feels like people are preparing for war.

Donald Trump on his Truth Social site yesterday said “I have determined that, for the Good of our Country, especially in these very troubled and dangerous times, our Military Budget for the year 2027 should not be $1 Trillion Dollars, but rather $1.5 Trillion Dollars.” I believe in a strong military, always have, but isn’t a trillion dollars enough to get that job done? Do we really have to add another $500 billion to that budget? Well, it would all depend on what type of military Trump is looking to build, and more importantly, what is he looking to do with it? Are many of his top people moving onto military bases because they know things about what’s coming that we don’t know? Let’s look at what we do know so far. War is coming, prepare yourself.
So when you lay it all out on the table like that, a $1.5 trillion dollar budget for the war machine seems like a pretty good idea. But wait a minute. Isn’t Trump the “president of peace”? Why would a peace-seeking leader need such a high military budget? He says it’s “peace through strength”, but those words ring quite hollow. If you seek peace, then you have a Department of Defense. If war is your goal, then you need a Department of War. I think it’s quite clear why more and more of his top officials are moving onto military bases, you’d have to be blind to miss it.

Over the past few months, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has been grooming you to accept ‘lethal kinetic force’ as the preferred means of conflict resolution by the Trump administration. Video after video of airstrikes blowing up ‘narco-terrorists’ to wild applause from MAGA world has lead us to where we find ourselves right now. It’s super-easy to do. Just label someone a terrorist, foreign or domestic, it doesn’t matter, and then administer justice by blowing them up. Renee Nicole Good found out about Trump justice earlier this afternoon when an ICE agent blew her brains out all over her steering wheel. Kristi Noem, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, called the woman’s actions leading up to the shooting “an act of domestic terrorism.” Trump said on Truth Social “The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense,” That was not even close to true.

Now I understand that Renee Nicole Good, (notice that it’s the victim now that gets the 3 name treatment usually reserved for killers), was a Far Left Liberal, I get that. But I know that from watching the video, the only thing she seemed to be guilty of was attempting to flee the scene. Yes, that’s a crime, but did she deserve to get shot in the face when they could have easily shot her tires and arrested her? No. I hear from some reports that she was a member of the LGBTQ, and possibly a lesbian. Does that make her deserving of death? It does not. But a large part of the MAGA/QAnon crowd who are cheering her slaughter like Romans at the Coliseum thinks it does. When the police murdered Ashli Babbitt and then got away with it scot-free, I thought that was a sickening thing and I wrote about. That woman was not a “domestic terrorist”, and she did not run over any ICE agent. Trump is a liar. The ICE agent who murdered Renee Good is a cold-blooded killer, should stand trial, and let a jury of his peers decide if he is guilty.
FROM CBS NEWS: President Donald Trump claimed that the woman who was shot and killed by an ICE officer in south Minneapolis Wednesday “viciously ran over the ICE Officer” prior to her death, though the video evidence he shared showed no sign of an officer being run over in the incident.
Trump posted a video of the encounter to Truth Social, which he owns, Wednesday afternoon. In his comments, he claimed “the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting.” The video, which appears to have been taken from a nearby residence above ground level, shows the woman’s vehicle appear to drive away as multiple federal agents approach. However, the video also shows that no officer was run over by the vehicle.

While Trump said the video “is a horrible thing to watch,” he also said “these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis.”

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem earlier characterized the driver’s actions as an “act of domestic terrorism.” However, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who said he’s also seen the witness videos, called the ICE narrative of the encounter “bulls**t.”
Witnesses have told WCCO that the incident happened at about 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of 34th and Portland. Witnesses say they saw a Honda Pilot blocked by multiple federal agents. Other video angles WCCO has obtained show an agent trying to open the driver’s side door, before the driver attempts to drive away. Witnesses said they then heard three shots fired. The Pilot is seen in other videos driving another several feet before crashing into another vehicle.
The victim was a 37-year-old woman, according to Frey, and a U.S. citizen, according to Sen. Tina Smith. City leaders said the victim was a legal observer of federal actions in the city and wasn’t a target for an ICE-related arrest. READ MORE
