Pride Month 2023 is shaping up to be the most contentious ever, with the greatest pushback we’ve ever seen.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2009 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. Barack Obama and Joe Biden did not create Pride Month, but they codified it as an ordinance of the United States of America in 2009. In 2023, we are halfway through Obama’s third term, and the seeds he planted are finally ready for harvest.

“He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.” Job 41:34 (KJB)

Pride Month 2023, which is scheduled to started in 3 days, will be the 14th one that we have written about and chronicled since NTEB started. With each passing year, the corporate push to promote Pride Month has steadily increased, what started in the millions has now well reached the several billions. That type of money and support can greatly sway public opinion through relentlessly wearing down the opposition. But this year, something is different, Christians and conservatives are pushing back.  Take a look at these recent events:

• Target loses $9B in week following boycott calls over LGBTQ-friendly kids clothing
• Anheuser-Busch has lost a staggering $15.7 BILLION in value since Bud Light controversy began
• Bud Light is one the brands sponsoring the upcoming Cincinnati Pride Parade as the brand’s sales continue to plummet

There is an openly-simmering anger at the media and corporate America who are attempting to force the will of the minority onto the will of the vast majority. I have watched on Twitter this week videos of people going into Target stores and destroying the Pride merchandise displays that are geared toward recruiting children to the transgender lifestyle. I do not advocate for violence of any kind, nor encourage it, but I sure do understand it. Pride Month 2023 is going to be the greatest push in its history of forcing that agenda upon the rest of America, and it looks like we will see a pushback unlike any other we’ve seen.

Russia unleashed waves of air strikes on Kyiv overnight in what officials said appeared to be the largest drone attack on the city since the start of the war, as the Ukrainian capital prepared to celebrate the anniversary of its founding on Sunday.

The war between Russia and Ukraine is well into its ‘second season’, and it shows little signs of stopping anytime soon, or for that matter, even slowing down. In Ukraine, Zelensky has used the conflict to bring in over $200 billion in cash and munitions, becoming a sort of ersatz ‘celebrity‘ in the process. In Russia, Putin is doing, well, no one really knows what Putin is doing, but he’s doing a lot of it. As Ukraine prepared to celebrate ‘Kyiv Day’, Russia was pleased to provide the fireworks.

I spent some time with my friend Rick today, who drove up from South Florida to be a blessing to the Bibles Behind Bars program, say hello, and to pick up an imprinted Bible to give to a friend as he and his wife continued their holiday travels westward. We talked about how exciting it is to be living in these crazy end times, and how depressing it would all be if we weren’t saved. Yep, that makes all the difference, Even so, come Lord Jesus.

Russia unleashes largest ‘kamikaze’ drone attack on Ukrainian capital ahead of Kyiv Day

FROM THE NY POST: Ukraine’s Air Force said it downed 52 out of the 54 Russia-launched drones, calling it a record attack with the Iranian-made ‘kamikaze’ drones. It was not immediately clear how many of the drones were shot over Kyiv.

In what also appears to be the first deadly attack on Kyiv in May and the 14th assault this month, falling debris killed a 41-year-old man, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

The pre-dawn attacks came on the last Sunday of May when the capital celebrates Kyiv Day, the anniversary of its official founding 1,541 years ago. The day is typically marked by street fairs, live concerts and special museum exhibitions – plans for which have been made this year too, but on a smaller scale.

“The history of Ukraine is a long-standing irritant for the insecure Russians,” Andriy Yermak, the head of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, said on his Telegram channel.

Air Force said on Telegram that Russia had targeted military and critical infrastructure facilities in the central regions of Ukraine, and the Kyiv region in particular. Reuters was unable to independently verify the information. With a Ukrainian counteroffensive looming 15 months into the war, Moscow has intensified air strikes after a lull of nearly two months, targeting chiefly military site and supplies. Massive drone attack on Kyiv as Ukraine set to launch counter-offensive

Ukraine says it downed more than 40 Iranian-made drones during overnight raids on Kyiv. At least one person was killed by falling debris. Ukraine is preparing a long-awaited counter-offensive to liberate its territories from Russian occupation. Officials say it could come any day now.

The terrified Jews were stopped at the Red Sea, and had Pharaoh’s army charging from the rear. What to do? Stand still and look to the LORD.

When God called Moses to lead the Jews out of bondage in Egypt, He worked it out in a way where the Jews were totally boxed in. Moses led them as far as the Red Sea, so they couldn’t go forward, and God hardened Pharaoh’s heart so they had  to deal with the Egyptian army coming up behind them. The only way out was through, and the only way through was by faith in the living God.

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:13,14 (KJB)

Many born again saved Christians today are living in fear. Fear of economic or financial insecurities, fear of sickness and death, fear of just about anything you could think of. The times we live in are increasingly dystopian, with the very foundations of our society cracking and crumbling. I am sure this is what the Jews felt like that day at the Red Sea, but Moses had the answer. The first thing he told them was to not be afraid. Easier said than done, but OK. The second thing he told them to do was to ‘stand still’, to cease from their own works. And then the third thing Moses said was that the LORD would fight for them, and He most certainly did. Today I would like to bring you a message about being still before the Lord, and and trusting in Him to part the waters of whatever your ‘Red Sea’ might be today.
