Simon Peter From The Bible Bears No Resemblance To The Mythical ‘Pope Peter’ Of The Catholic Church

Official teaching from the Catechism of the Catholic Church boldly declares that the Christian Church is built on ‘pope’ Peter and not on Jesus Christ!

Now there is someone who the Bible says that Jesus did give authority to, and who is the actual leader of the Christian Church. Care to hazard a guess whom that might be? Let the Bible speak

“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:” 2 Peter 1:1 (KJV)

The Catholic Church, a counterfeit of the the actual Church that Jesus started, is built largely on myth, superstition and folklore. As we showed you in an earlier article, the actual Mary of the Bible has almost nothing in common with the imaginary ‘mary’ put forth by official Vatican teaching. The Catholic Church performs the same “hatchet job” on the humble fisherman and servant of Jesus Christ, Simon Peter.

Official teaching from the Catechism of the Catholic Church boldly declares that the Christian Church is built, not on the foundation of Jesus Christ, but on Peter! This is what they teach:

Because of the faith he confessed Peter will remain the unshakable rock of the Church. His mission will be to keep this faith from every lapse and to strengthen his brothers in it.286

But the Bible knows nothing about Peter being the “rock” of the Christian Church, not one bit. The Bible says that Jesus the “rock and cornerstone” upon which the entire Christian Church is built and on which it rests. And in what has to be an ironic twist for the Catholic Church, Peter himself says that Jesus is “the rock”, and not him.

“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.” 1 Peter 1:5,6 (KJV)

Every Christian that ever lived, including all of the apostles, are seen in scripture as ‘lively stones’ who are servants of “the Rock” that is the Lord Jesus. Not only that, after the collapse of the Kingdom Age in Acts 7, Jesus raises up Saul who became Paul to be the actual leader of the Christian Church. The apostle Paul, you may remember, not only is given leadership of the Church, Paul rebukes Peter for his hypocrisy in Galatians.

“But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?” Galatians 2:11-14 (KJV)

What is this? The person that the Catholic Church teaches is the “rock” of the Church gets publicly rebuked by Paul for being a hypocrite? You can search all day and all night, and you won’t find that little nugget lurking in the Catholic Catechism.

As the old commercial from the 1970’s used to say, “but wait, there’s more!”

Now there is someone who the Bible says that Jesus did give authority to, and who is the actual leader of the Christian Church. Care to hazard a guess whom that might be? Let the Bible speak.

“At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:” Acts 26:13-19 (KJV)

Yep, you guessed it. Paul. The very same Paul that the Catholic Church in no wise acknowledges as the leader of the Church, and whom they place as subservient to Peter. Official Catholic teaching states that Peter was the “first pope”, and that all the Catholic popes are his successors.

So let’s take a quick bullet point look at how no Catholic pope was ever like the apostle Peter.

  • PETER WAS MARRIED: Official Catholic doctrine stating that all priests must be celibate, and every pope that ever lived started out first as a Catholic priest. But Simon Peter was married, as were many of the other apostles. “And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.” Matthew 8:14,15 (KJV). If the Catholic Church is ‘following Peter’ as they claim, why then are their leaders forbidden to marry? Paul tells us why. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” 1 Timothy 4:1-3 (KJV). As someone who was a Catholic for 30 years before getting saved, I immediately recognized in those verses from Paul that he was describing to a “T” the Roman Catholic counterfeit. Abstaining from meats? I was told to do that every Friday during Lent. Forbidding to marry? Never yet met a Catholic priest who was married. As usual, Paul nails it.
  • PETER SUBMITTED TO THE RULE OF THE KING: The apostle Peter wrote that all Christians should submit themselves to the earthly rule of “kings and governors” in accordance with the will of God for our lives. “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:” 1 Peter 2:13-15 (KJV). But Catholic popes do not see themselves this way. When foreign leaders visit the Vatican, they kiss the ring of the pope. The pope bows to no one, and submits himself to no human authority other than his own.
  • PETER TAUGHT THAT CHURCH LEADERS WERE NOT LORDS: Peter’s own writings found in 1 Peter clearly show that Church leaders were to be “humble servants” who were no better than those in their congregations they were leading. Peter said he was an “elder”, just like many of the other elders in the Church. “The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.” 1 Peter 5:1-4 (KJV). But it is not so in the Catholic Church where the pope declares that he is sitting in the place of Jesus Christ on this Earth!  “For the Roman Pontiff, by reason of his office as Vicar of Christ, and as pastor of the entire Church has full, supreme, and universal power over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered.” CCC Article 9, Paragraph 4 882

So as usual, the fixed gulf between what the Bible teaches and what the Catholic Church teaches is a chasm so wide as it beggars description and boggles the mind and imagination. This is why, when Roman declared Christianity to be the “official state religion” in the early 300’s and took over the actual Christian Church, the first thing they did was to remove the scriptures from the hand of the average Christian so they would be intentionally kept ignorant of what the truth was. Schools used to teach this period of time, roughly from the early 400’s to the 1400’s, as the Dark Ages.

When did God allow the lights to be turned on again? Oh, right around 1611.

“Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” Ecclesiastes 8:4 (KJV)

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 15,860+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 150,000+ followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,900 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.

This Is What We At NTEB Believe To Be True About The Triune Nature Of God As Revealed In The Godhead And Manifest In The Body Of Jesus Christ

It is not that our estimation of Jesus Christ is too much, it is that your estimation of Jesus Christ is far too little, too weak, pusillanimous you might say. Oneness, modalism, lions and tigers and bears, oh my!!

Recently, our exalted view of Jesus Christ has come under fire and our beliefs labelled with such terms as Oneness Pentecostalism and modalism by benchwarming Laodiceans who spend more time arguing amongst themselves than they do reading and believing their King James Bibles. So because of this, we have decided to update our Statement of Faith to help out our opposition by giving them more information with which to attack us, because why not? You’re welcome.

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” Colossians 2:8-10 (KJB)

When I read my King James Bible, want to know what I see? I see Jesus from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, because in the volume of the Book it is written of Him. Where do I get that radical idea from? From David in Psalm 40:7 (KJB), and from Paul in Hebrews 10:7 (KJB). When I read my King James Bible, I see the Father, who is not Jesus, and I see the Holy Spirit, who is not Jesus, all coming together in the body of a person who is Jesus. What’s that you say? Is this “heresy, heresy?!?” No, it’s Bible doctrine. It only sounds like heresy to you because you spend more time on Facebook than on Bible study.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:26,27 (KJB)

In the book of Genesis, God is shown to us in the plural, “let us make man in our image”, and I have always taken that to mean the working of the triune God – Father, Son and Spirit – in the act of creation. But when you get to the New Testament, Paul shows us that all the credit for creation is given to Jesus Christ in Colossians 1:16 (KJB). Why is that? Because that’s the way the Father wants it. The mystery is this, the Father is not Jesus and Jesus is not the Father – BUT – in the body of Jesus Christ you see the very image of the invisible Father God with your eyes.

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:” Colossians 1:13-15 (KJB)

It is not that our estimation of Jesus Christ is too much, it is that your estimation of Jesus Christ is far too little, too weak, pusillanimous even you might say. Oneness, modalism, lions and tigers and bears, oh my!! Have you not read in Moses that the LORD is God and that He is the Rock of our faith? LORD is all caps is Jehovah, God the Father as revealed in the Old Testament. So how is it then, in the New Testament, we find out that Jesus, the only begotten Son, is the LORD our God? What happened to the Father? Now, if the water has suddenly gotten too deep for you, feel free to click away from this article and go watch some more kitten videos on You Tube.

“Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” Deuteronomy 32:3,4 (KJB)

“And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:4 (KJB)

All of this is a mystery, I’ll grant you that, but absolutely knowable if you approach it with the eye of faith. The Godhead is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and they can and do exist as separate entities who can and do communicate with each other as separate entities, all under the same roof, so to speak. But if your understanding stops there, you have not gone far enough by half, as the old commercial from the 1970’s said, “but wait, there’s more!!”, and there is, so don’t miss it.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJB)

There is a name, that is above all names, including the name of Jehovah, and Jehovah is pleased for it to be so, for in that His Son is glorified and He is glorified. “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:” Now, imagine for a moment, that God appeared to you in a dream tonight while you’re sleeping, and said He would fulfill any one thing you asked of Him. And let’s just say that you used that to ask God to show you the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit so that all three could be seen with your human eyes. So you are taken to a beautiful room, the most peaceful place you’ve ever encountered, and you sit down at the table and wait. The door opens, and in comes Jesus of Nazareth, and sits down across from you. You look into His beautiful face, and what looks back at you? The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Three in one, and one in three, and the one in the middle died for me. That’s Him. Jesus Christ is all of God you will ever see, but in Him is all of God that there is so that works out just fine. That is not Oneness Pentecostalism, that is not modalism, that is Bible doctrine.

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14 (KJB)

In closing, let me just say that the Bible is all about Jesus Christ, from cover to cover, and it is impossible to give Him more credit than He deserves. Here at NTEB, we believe in the Bible doctrine of the Godhead, that is to say that God is composed of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that all of the Godhead, according to the scriptures we have listed here and about 200 more besides that, clearly shows that in Jesus Christ, all of the fulness of the Godhead dwells bodily. So what’s it gonna be for you? More kitten videos on YouTube, or some 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJB)? Pick one.

When Was The Last Time You Can Recall There Being So Many Powerful And Prominent Princes On The World Stage At The Same Time?

Published

on

NOW THE END BEGINS SHARE:

For some strange reason, we have a plethora of very powerful princes all on the world stage at the same time, who all seem to be working towards the same goal. Could one of them be the ‘prince of the covenant’?

In the book of Daniel, talking about the soon-coming end times, we read about the Antichrist, the covenant and the prince of the covenant that form the mainframe of the time of Jacob’s trouble. Paul says that the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church will take place when the man of sin is revealed, so we have that. We have the Abraham Accords, which in my opinion is either the covenant from 9:27 or will lead directly to that covenant, so we have that. Then we have the ‘mystery man’ the Bible calls the prince of the covenant. In an amazing coincidence, we have an abundance of rich, powerful princes on the world stage right now. Go figure. No, really, let’s go figure this out.

“And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant. And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.” Daniel 11:22,23 (KJB)

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, but the Abraham Accords is the most transformative agreement between nations as related to Israel, and it was created in large part by Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed from the United Arab Emirates, who many call the most powerful man in the Middle East. Then we have Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman from Saudi Arabia, who is very vocal about ‘peace in the Middle East’ between Israel and the Palestinians. Bringing up the rear, we have Prince Charles who any day now is about to assume the throne of England as its king. Fun fact, Prince Charles is on record calling for trillions of dollars and full military power be given to an unnamed person who needs to have those things to save the world. Whew, that’s a lot of princes, a lot of power, and it all swirls around a lot of Bible prophecy.

“Here we need a vast military style campaign to marsh the strength of the global private sector, with trillions at his disposal far beyond global GDP, and with the greatest respect, beyond even the governments of the world’s leaders.” – Prince Charles, COP26

The Bible does not say who the prince of the covenant is, but we know this much. He starts out in a league with the Antichrist, and then at some point after he outlives his usefulness, is ‘broken’  by the Antichrist along with the covenant. All 3 of the princes in this article are in favor of the Great Reset, in favor of supporting Climate Change, and are in favor of creating peace between Israel and the Palestinians by dividing the land of Israel. My point is simply this, the Abraham Accords was the game changer in the Middle East, and that would not be possible without the help of Prince Mohamed bin Zayed. The same man is also the ‘point man’ for the Vatican in getting Islamic leaders to sign off on the Declaration of Human Fraternity, itself a covenant that’s simply pregnant with end times possibilities. Everywhere you look since 2020, a prince has been popping up and helping to advance the end times timeline. And one of these princes stands out noticeably from the other two.

My own personal guess for which of these men would make a good ‘prince of the covenant’ would be, hands down, Mohamed bin Zayed, no question about it. Due to his involvement in both the Abraham Accords and with Chrislam, he is already more than halfway there. Now, if we could only find a connection between Mohamed bin Zayed and Emmanuel Macron, we would really have something to talk about. Oh, silly me, we already do and here it is.

Here are some articles that will greatly expand on what I am saying, and we highly recommend you read them, and compare what you read to what is in your King James Bible.

Jesus Of Nazareth For The Past Two Thousand Years Has Been Building A City Called New Jerusalem That Will Be The Forever Home Of The Born Again Believer

The Church is the body of Christ, the bride of Christ, and the New Jerusalem where God will once again and for all eternity “dwell with man”. God’s glory will be forever made manifest in the thing for which He shed His own blood – the Church of Jesus Christ.

Those John:14 mansions that Jesus the Carpenter of Nazareth has been building for the last 2,000 years is New Jerusalem, that holy city that comes down from God out of Heaven

Have you ever watched any of those pet shows on channels like The Dodo where they talk about people adopting pets and bringing them to their new ‘forever home’? Your King James Bible talks about that as well, only it’s you who gets adopted, and your forever Home is a place called the New Jerusalem. New Jerusalem is the mansions from John 14, that Jesus the carpenter of Nazareth, has been building for us for the past two thousand years. Born again believers in the Church Age are placed into the Body of Christ and we are the Bride of Christ.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3 (KJB)

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Revelation 21:2 (KJB)

The forever Home of the Christian, Jew or Gentile, will be not Heaven but New Jerusalem, which comes down from God out of Heaven, it’s not in Heaven, and it will be the dwelling place for the Lamb’s wife, which is the redeemed Church. Please note the following about the Lamb’s wife:

  • She is engaged to the Lord Jesus Christ: “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:2 (KJB). In the context of this passage, to whom is Paul speaking? He is speaking to the Church at Corinth that is made up of born again Christians.
  • She makes herself ready for marriage: “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.” Revelation 19:7 (KJB). Here we see the Body of Christ, the Church, having now gone through the Judgement Seat of Christ, all set and ready to be forever joined to her Beloved, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • She is now taken to her forever Home: “And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” Revelation 21:9 (KJB). So why is New Jerusalem referred to as a bride? Because that beautiful City is filled to overflowing with a blood-bought Bride, that’s why. The City is not the Bride, it houses the Bride.

Our apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 3:29 that if we are saved we are counted with faithful Abraham, who was not a Jew, and faithful Abraham did some things that all Christians ought to be doing. First, Hebrews 11:8 shows us that when God called him, Abraham followed not knowing exactly where God was leading him. That’s how all Christians should follow after God. Secondly, after Abraham got to following God, he lost his love for the things of this world, and started looking for an heavenly city, whose “builder and maker was God” in Hebrews 11:10. Where is that City? It is New Jerusalem, of course.

The Church is the body of Christ, the bride of Christ, and the New Jerusalem where God will once again and for all eternity “dwell with man”. God’s glory will be forever made manifest in the thing for which He shed His own blood – the Church of Jesus Christ. When a man falls in love, he becomes engaged, gets married, and then takes her to live with him in her new home. This three-step process is clearly seen in scripture in relation to Jesus and His Bride, which is the Church.

“Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:” Colossians 1:24 (KJB)
