House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday launched an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden for ‘abuse of power, obstruction, and corruption.’

The question is did Joe Biden, as vice president of the United States, sell his influence in exchange for favors and large cash payments which were then disbursed to various members of the Biden family including Hunter Biden? In theory, this is the essence of the information on the infamous Hunter Biden laptop. There is certainly something there, the question is how much can be proven by the Republicans who are not known for their ability to plan and execute any type of political strategy.

If the GOP is unable to pull this off, it will actually work to strengthen Biden’s position and standing, not weaken it. But if Biden is successfully impeached, do the Democrats take that as a win because now they can dump Biden who has become a liability? However all this plays out, it’s already been decided behind the scenes, as has the 2024 president election.

Kevin McCarthy Officially Opens Impeachment Inquiry into Joe Biden for ‘Abuse of Power, Obstruction, and Corruption’

FROM BREITBART NEWS: Speaking in the U.S. Capitol Building, McCarthy opened the inquiry by stating that House Republicans uncovered “serious and credible allegations” against President Biden. McCarthy said House investigators found that Joe Biden lied about his involvement in the family business and that bank records show many payments were directed to Biden family members through shell companies. He also noted an FBI informant file that alleged Joe Biden was bribed by a Ukrainian energy executive.  

“Taken together, these allegations paint a picture of a culture of corruption,” he said. “These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption. They warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives.”

“That’s why today, I am directing our house committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden,” he continued. “This logical next step will give our committees the full power to gather all the facts and answers for the American public. It’s exactly what we want to know: the answers.”

The impeachment inquiry is intended to uncover additional information about Joe Biden’s involvement in the Biden family business.

The impeachment inquiry could lead to a full House vote on articles of impeachment. If approved by 218 votes in the House, the articles would be conveyed to the Senate, where the higher chamber would be forced to hear the evidence during a Senate trial.

Polling supports the need for an impeachment inquiry. Sixty-one percent of Americans believe Joe Biden was involved in his family’s business deals with China and Ukraine, according to a recent CNN survey. Only 38 percent say he was not involved, and just one percent say he was involved and did nothing wrong.

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) announced an investigation into Joe Biden in November. The following months proved to justify Comer’s probe. Bank records in May showed the Biden business received at least $10 million from business schemes in Romania and China. Comer revealed in August the Biden family business received over $20 million from Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan while Joe Biden was vice president.

Newly revealed surveillance footage released by Tucker Carlson from January 6, 2021, shows two Capitol police officers escorting Jacob Chansley, the be-horned so-called ‘QAnon Shaman’ who has come to symbolize the riot, through the halls of the Capitol and to the very door of the US Senate.

Tucker Carlson, the man we call the ‘last truth teller‘ in the American media, was given 40,000 hours of video tape from the events relating to the January 6 riots at the capitol. But 40,000 hours is not necessary to see what actually happened, for that you only need about 2-3 minutes. The American people were intentionally deceived about January 6 by the Democrats in power, and that deception was artfully supported by the legacy media.

I’m glad that I wasn’t there that day, but if I was I would not have taken my place with the protesters, I would have taken my position on the street corner and preached the gospel of the grace of God to that massive crowd so very much in need of hearing the gospel. January 6 footage shows Capitol cops escorting QAnon Shaman to Senate floor

FROM THE NY POST: The footage aired on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show Monday night shows the officers closely following Chansley as he wanders the corridors of the Capitol, bare-chested and wearing face paint and a luxuriant fur hat with Viking horns.

“Virtually every moment of his time inside the Capitol was caught on tape,” says Carlson, who was granted exclusive access by Speaker Kevin McCarthy to 40,000 hours of surveillance footage from that day inside and around the Capitol, which has never been seen before by the public.

“The tapes show the Capitol police never stopped Jacob Chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides.”

At one point, the officers are seen walking Chansley past seven other police officers milling around outside the Senate chamber, who barely give him a second look. Then they escort him to various entrances of the chamber which appear to be locked. Eventually, they help him open a door, and he enters the chamber.

Chansley, a 33-year-old naval veteran from Arizona, has been jailed for almost four years for “obstructing an official proceeding.”

In a jailhouse interview played by Carlson, he says: “The one very serious regret that I have [is] believing that when we were waved in by police officers that it was acceptable.” In a statement, the Capitol police suggest that one of the officers with Chansley was trying to “de-escalate” the situation because he was outnumbered.

But that does not explain why Chansley, who was unarmed, was able to walk past seven more officers without being apprehended.

“Not one of them even tried to slow him down,” says Carlson.

He “understood that the Capitol police were his allies. . . . If he was in the act of committing such a grave crime, why didn’t the officers standing right next to him place him under arrest?”

And yet in the narrative formed that day by the Democrats and much of the media, “Jacob Chansley became the face of January 6, a dangerous conspiracy theorist dressed in an outlandish costume who led the violent insurrection to overthrow America’s democracy,” says Carlson. McCarthy has been criticized for releasing the footage to Carlson who plans to air five stories based on the footage over two nights which he says “demolishes” the Democratic narrative of January 6. House Republicans flailed through a second day of multiple balloting Wednesday, unable to elect Rep. Kevin McCarthy as House speaker or to come up with a new strategy to end the political chaos that has tarnished the start of their new majority.

Gone are the days when an endorsement from Donald Trump all but meant certain victory, what you are watching play out in Congress right now is evidence of that. Not only is his endorsement of Kevin McCarthy not moving the needle in the current House Speaker fight, the very core of Trump’s original MAGA Movement have turned against him. It is literally stunning to watch how fast things are all falling apart for the Republican Party. Trump’s ‘house of sand’ is flowing out to sea right now. But we told you Trump wasn’t coming back, and he’s not.

McCarthy fails again in bid for speaker, GOP in disarray

FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: For a fifth time, Republicans tried to vote McCarthy into the top job as the House plunged deeper into disarray. That came moments after the fourth vote showed 20 conservative holdouts still refusing to support him, unchanged from the previous time around and leaving him far short of the 218 votes typically needed to win the gavel.

“Let cooler, more rational heads prevail,” said Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, a conservative aligned with the far-right Freedom Caucus who nevertheless nominated McCarthy.

Rep. Lauren Boebert, a firm Colorado conservative, nominated Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., the chosen protest candidate of the day— and called for former President Donald Trump, the conservatives’ hero, to tell McCarthy, “`Sir, you do not have the votes and it’s time to withdraw.”

Earlier Wednesday, Trump had done the opposite, urging Republicans to vote for McCarthy. “Close the deal, take the victory, he wrote on his social media site, using all capital letters. “Do not turn a great triumph into a giant & embarrassing defeat.”

Yet the California Republican vowed to keep fighting despite losing in multiple rounds of voting that threw the new majority into tumult a day earlier. Animated private discussions broke out on the chamber floor between McCarthy supporters and detractors searching for an endgame. The House gaveled in at noon, but no other work could be done — swearing in new members, forming committees, tackling legislation, investigating the Biden administration — until the speaker was elected.

“Sure, it looks messy,” said Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Wis., a McCarthy ally who quickly re-nominated him for the job with a rousing speech designed to peel off detractors. But democracy is messy, he said. “The American people are in charge.”

McCarthy himself entered the chamber saying, “We’ll have another vote.”

But the dynamic proved no different from Day One, as Democrats re-upped their leader, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, for speaker, and a right-flank leader from the Freedom Caucus twice offered a challenge to McCarthy — nominating Donalds in another history making moment. Both Jeffries and Donalds are Black.

“This country needs leadership,” said Rep. Chip Roy, the Texas Republican noting the first time in history two Black Americans were nominated for the high office, and lawmakers from both parties rose to applaud.

It was the first time in 100 years that a nominee for House speaker could not take the gavel on the first vote, but McCarthy appeared undeterred. Instead, he vowed to fight to the finish. The disorganized start to the new Congress pointed to difficulties ahead with Republicans now in control of the House.

President Joe Biden, departing the White House for a bipartisan event in Kentucky with Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell, said “the rest of the world is looking” at the scene on the House floor.

“I just think it’s really embarrassing it’s taking so long,” Biden said. “I have no idea” who will prevail. READ MORE
