“Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies’ sake.” Psalm 6:9

SINGAPORE — Terrified passengers aboard a blazing jetliner prayed together before the plane made an emergency landing on Monday. An engine on a Cathay Pacific Airbus A330-300 caught fire in midair.

Passengers on Cathay Pacific flight CX715 disembark after the Airbus jet landed safely at Changi Airport in Singapore on Monday.

Cathay Pacific said the jet, bound for Jakarta with 136 passengers on board, landed back in Singapore “without incident” just before 2 a.m. It said the crew shut down the engine after receiving a “stall warning.” Reuters photographer Beawiharta was aboard the aircraft with his wife, two sons and daughter. About 20 minutes after take-off, there were two sharp bangs, sending cabin staff scurrying to retrieve the meals they had only just begun serving.

The plane began shaking violently, he said, and the lights went out. He could smell something burning. His son, Pradipta, 15, said he saw nothing as he peered out the window. “But I asked him to cup his hands to get a better view,” Beawiharta said. “He shouted: ‘I see fire! I see fire!’

“Behind us, passengers were praying: ‘God, save our flight! Give us your protection!'”

The prayers got louder and louder, pierced by only the occasional cry of panic.

“A stewardess told us an engine had caught fire and we were on our way back to Singapore. Glued to the window, my son said he could see lights, the sea and ships and then lights on the ground. We all grabbed life jackets from beneath our seats, but the plane landed smoothly. “Within five minutes, as firefighters doused the damaged engine, we walked off the plane into the terminal.” source – MSNBC

WAG THE DOG: Nancy Pelosi Lands In Taiwan For Pathetic And Obviously Staged Moment As China Vows ‘Targeted Military Actions’ In Response

NOW THE END BEGINS SHARE:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi arrived in Taiwan late Tuesday, defying Chinese warnings against visiting the self-ruled island that Beijing claims as its territory and setting the stage for a sharp escalation in tensions between China and the United States.

History shows us that the best way to get a nation out of recession is to get into a war, that usually works to invigorate the economy. History also shows us that when one political party is facing historic defeat at the voting booth, a war is usually the cure for that as well. The Democrats in Washington DC are right now attempting to solve both those problems by sending that ‘champion of freedom’ Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan in hopes of eliciting military action from China. Ever watch the movie ‘Wag The Dog’? You should.

“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9 (KJB)

Of course, seeing that this is Day 869 of 15 Days To Flatten The Curve, everything is “on the table”, and what we are watching could easily be the start of something really big. Imagine for a moment, the New World Order issuing the order to make Nancy Pelosi not just a ‘champion of freedom’ but also a patron saint of the American people by turning her into a martyr. They did it to JFK in 1963, drastically changing the fortunes of the Democratic Party from that day until now. Whatever actually happens, just remember you are watching end times theater, fake, stage events but with grisly real world consequences. China says military action is coming, let’s see who blinks first, and in the meantime, enjoy the show!

Pelosi lands in Taiwan, defying Chinese warnings of forceful response

FROM MSN: Pelosi’s plane landed at Songshan airport in Taipei just before 11 p.m. local time. Wearing a face mask, she was greeted by Taiwan’s foreign minister, Joseph Wu, and staff from the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), the de facto U.S. embassy in Taipei.

Pelosi’s visit has enraged China, which for years has sought to diplomatically isolate the island and views such exchanges with high-level foreign dignitaries as support for Taiwanese independence. The Chinese Communist Party claims Taiwan, a self-governing democracy that is home to 23 million people, as its territory despite never having ruled it. Chinese leader Xi Jinping has pledged to “reunify” Taiwan with China by force if necessary.

Moscow said it was “absolutely in solidarity with China”, calling the prospect of a Pelosi visit “pure provocation”.

Just after Pelosi’s arrival, China’s official Xinhua News Agency released an announcement from the People’s Liberation Army that “important military training operations” and live ammunition drills would take place in six areas surrounding Taiwan between Thursday and Sunday — after the House speaker’s visit.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the visit as “a serious violation of the one-China principle and the provisions of the three China-U.S. joint communiqués,” adding, “China firmly opposes and sternly condemns this, and has made serious démarche and strong protest to the United States.” Pelosi, in a statement issued moments after her arrival, said, “Our congressional delegation’s visit to Taiwan honors America’s unwavering commitment to supporting Taiwan’s vibrant Democracy.” She defended her trip.

“Our visit is one of several Congressional delegations to Taiwan — and it in no way contradicts longstanding United States policy, guided by the Taiwan Relations Act of 1979, U.S.-China Joint Communiques and the Six Assurances. The United States continues to oppose unilateral efforts to change the status quo.”

Chinese maritime authorities, meanwhile, announced additional military exercises in the South China Sea and live-fire drills in the Bohai Sea, near the Korean Peninsula, this week. Reuters, citing an unnamed source, reported that Chinese fighter jets on Tuesday flew close to the median line of the Taiwan Strait, the unofficial military boundary. Chinese carrier Xiamen Airlines, meanwhile, announced disruptions to at least 30 flights because of air traffic restrictions in Fujian, the Chinese province directly across the strait from Taiwan.

Hua Chunying, a spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, accused the United States on Tuesday of escalating tensions in the Taiwan Strait and warned of “disastrous consequences” if the United States mishandles the situation. “The United States should and must take full responsibility for this,” she said.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Tuesday at a meeting in Shanghai that U.S. politicians who are “playing with fire” on the issue of Taiwan will “come to no good end,” according to a transcript released by the Foreign Ministry. READ MORE

Kim Jong Un Wears Leather Jacket And Aviator Frames As North Korea Releases ‘Top Gun’ Style Video For Their Latest Nuclear-Capable Missile Launch

The ’80s-inspired soundtrack quickens as the video cuts back and forth between Kim and the officers glancing at their watches — before the strongman removes his sunglasses. He then gazes dramatically into the camera and gives a subtle nod to begin the launch sequence. An officer yells into a phone, a soldier waves a flag and several rogue regime troops begin screaming in a command trailer as the countdown begins. “Fire!” one of Kim’s men shouts, prompting the launch button to be pushed. The missile flies skyward, spewing red flames and thick smoke, as Kim and his entourage raise their hands in triumph.

Kim Jong Un channeled his inner Maverick from the hit 1986 flick ‘Top Gun’ to star in a bizarre Hollywood-style video for North Korea’s latest missile launch.

On one hand, it’s funny and laughable, the idea of the portly and rotund Kim Jong Un making a ‘Top Gun’ inspired video of North Korea’s latest nuclear-capable missile launch. That’s the funny part. The not so funny part is that fact that North Korea is once again aggressively conducting nuclear-capable missiles tests that they largely did not do while Donald Trump was the president. Everyone used to laugh at Hitler, too, how funny did that turn out in the end? Not so much, eh? The missile North Korea fired off, the Hwasong-17,  is the largest road-mobile, liquid-fueled ICBM in the world, and could be designed to carry multiple nuclear warheads. Still laughing?

“Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.” Isaiah 3:25 (KJB)

In case you haven’t noticed, while Russia continues its invasion of Ukraine, China is furiously building up military islands, Iran has just signed a new nuclear agreement with Russia, and North Korea gets closer and closer to actually firing nuclear missiles. Historians also like to talk about the ‘powder keg’ of events in those days was just waiting for a ‘spark’ to blow the whole thing up, and that happened on July 24, 1914. In 2022, our powder keg of end times events is filled to overflowing, and we are just waiting for whatever that spark is going to be.

Kim Jong Un channels ‘Top Gun’ in bizarre video of North Korea Hwasong-17 missile launch

FROM THE NY POST: The diminutive despot assumed a larger-than-life role in Pyongyang’s slick production — sporting a shiny leather jacket and slick aviator shades as he oversaw the first launch of the Hwasong-17 on Thursday. Flanked by military officers, Kim is shown walking in slow motion and pointing as hangar doors swing open to reveal the massive intercontinental ballistic missile.

In the next scene, a smiling Kim is seen strolling shoulder to shoulder with soldiers clad in desert-style combat uniforms and body armor. The surreal clip quickly sparked memes and remixes on social media, where users called the dictator “Top Kim” and compared the video to the South Korean K-pop hit “Gangnam Style” — changed to “Pyongyang Style.”

The Korean Central News Agency said the Hwasong-17, which was first unveiled in October 2020, reached a maximum altitude of 3,880 miles and flew 680 miles in 67 minutes before crashing into Japanese waters. Kim previously gained viral fame when he rode a white horse up the sacred Mount Paektu in October 2019. His father and predecessor, Kim Jong Il, was an avid movie fan who in 1978 ordered the kidnapping of a South Korean director and an actor to help develop the Hermit Kingdom’s cinema industry, according to the Guardian. Kim Jong-Un Says North Korea Planning A ‘Monster’ Intercontinental Missile Launch In April In Return To Proactive Nuclear Arms Testing Program

North Korea’s renewed determination to test an ICBM comes at a delicate time in the region, with a new, more hawkish president, conservative Yoon Suk-yeol, set to take control in South Korea. Yoon – who has threatened Pyongyang with a pre-emptive strike and promised to tell “rude boy” Kim to behave – looks set to take a hard line with the North after five years under dovish liberal President Moon Jae-in. But this approach is likely to lead to a cycle of escalation that will ratchet up tensions, says professor Yang Moo-jin.

NOW THE END BEGINS SHARE:

Kim Jong-Un in North Korea has been using satellite subterfuge to test parts of a so-called ‘monster’ missile, analysts say, as it gears up for a sanctions-shattering launch ahead of a key domestic anniversary in April.

When Donald Trump was president, North Korea was quite tame, and he and King Jong-Un got along famously writing ‘love letters’ to each other. But after a year of pretend president Biden, global bad actors suddenly feel emboldened again, as we have been watching over the past 2-plus weeks in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” Matthew 24:6 (KJB)

North Korea is one of those states, like Iran, that always seems to bluster more than they bite, but every once in a while do something that reminds you of how dangerously they actually can be. Russia has been percolating for 8 years, and then, they move on Ukraine stunning everyone. King Jong-Un is a nutcase, but one that deserves to be taken seriously.

North Korea plans ‘monster’ missile launch by April: Analysts

FROM CHANNEL NEWS ASIA: Pyongyang has conducted a record nine weapons tests so far this year, in what experts see as an effort to work through a laundry list of strategic weapons set out by leader Kim Jong Un. One top priority is an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) that can carry multiple warheads – the Hwasong-17, dubbed a “monster missile” and first unveiled at a parade in October 2020. It has never been test-fired – but Washington said Thursday (Mar 10) Pyongyang had recently tested parts of it disguised as a satellite.

North Korea has been observing a self-imposed moratorium on testing long range and nuclear weapons, but with talks stalled and sanctions still in place, it seems close to tearing it up.

“I think the moratorium is as good as over. We should expect to see a return to ICBM testing,” said US-based security analyst Ankit Panda.

The tests of purported “reconnaissance satellite” components on February 27 and March 5 were likely the Hwasong-17, possibly the technology to “carry and deliver multiple warheads”, he said.

“North Korea hasn’t demonstrated the latter capability before, even if it has tested ICBMs capable of ranging the United States three times,” he said.

CYCLE OF ESCALATION

North Korea’s renewed determination to test an ICBM comes at a delicate time in the region, with a new, more hawkish president, conservative Yoon Suk-yeol, set to take control in South Korea. Yoon – who has threatened Pyongyang with a pre-emptive strike and promised to tell “rude boy” Kim to behave – looks set to take a hard line with the North after five years under dovish liberal President Moon Jae-in. But this approach is likely to lead to a cycle of escalation that will ratchet up tensions, Yang Moo-jin, a professor at the University of North Korean Studies, told AFP.

Launches will be met with fresh sanctions, to which “Pyongyang will likely respond by test-firing more weapons”. North Korea paused its tests to “make room for diplomacy and avoid further sanctions”, but always kept working on diversifying its missiles, said Leif-Eric Easley, a professor at Ewha University in Seoul. Eventually, “in order to ensure accuracy and reentry capability, such weapons need to be tested”, he said.

Masking these as satellite tests can help them to “buy time” to develop what they need to launch an ICBM, said Ahn Chan-il, a North Korean studies scholar, told AFP.

And Pyongyang has a clear deadline: North Korea will mark the 110th anniversary of the birth of founding leader and Kim’s grandfather Kim Il Sung in April and likes to mark key domestic anniversaries with military parades or launches.

“It’s very likely that North Korea is going to test-fire an ICBM on April 15 for Kim Il Sung’s birthday,” Ahn said. READ MORE

North Korea Tested Intercontinental Ballistic Missile System, Says US Officials

U.S. intelligence agencies say they now believe that North Korea’s latest two missile launches were actually secret tests of a new “intercontinental ballistic missile system.” A senior administration official calls the recent tests, “a serious escalation.” In response, the U.S. has stepped up surveillance activities in the region and enacted “enhanced readiness” for its missile defense forces.
