We have increased the relief we’re sending up to Asheville North Carolina by 400% thanks in part to the generous giving of NTEB’ers across America.

On the Podcast today, we told you about the Asheville relief efforts being organized by Pastor Andrew Tucker of Grace Baptist Church in Ekron, Kentucky. He and others drove the first shipments of water, food, clothes, diapers and other personal items up this week, with the next convoy leaving one week from today. All these items are being delivered to Pastor Andrew Sluder at Bible Baptist Church in Asheville where local people can come by and pick up what they need. NTEB is standing with these pastors, keeping the supply line on these front lines wide open, sending the supplies directly with no middle man.

Many listeners and readers here at NTEB have joined the fight to send relief to Asheville, and because of that we are able to provide Pastor Tucker with the funds he needs to make these purchases for things like 8 pallets of water. Did you know that 8 pallets of water gives you 15,360 16.9oz bottles of spring water? That’s enough water for one-fifth of the entire city! You know what else these people desperately need? In addition to all these physical necessities, they need the spiritual meat of the King James Bible. To help with that, NTEB is sending an opening run of 1,000 Bibles as well as John/Romans scripture portions. All of this made possible by your generous financial giving.

Many parts of Asheville look more like a war zone than a quaint little city. Pastor Tucker called me up today to tell me of the lawlessness, looting and shootings that the people of Asheville have to deal with in addition to the aftermath of one of the most destructive hurricanes ever to hit America. Most of all, he told me to tell each and every one one of you all how very much they appreciate the support we are giving them. This week, one truckload went up, but next week 4 truckloads will go, partly because of the support we are able to give them. I told him that NTEB would be there for them every step of the way.
