People from all over the world walk our street, from Russia, Germany, France, Australia, China, Japan, and of course nearly every state in America.
“And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Luke 14:23 (KJV)
Last Saturday, our NTEB street team went out and preached the gospel of Jesus Christ in one of the busiest areas of Florida, Old St. Augustine. We passed out a whole bunch of gospel tracts, preached for over two hours, and the Lord blessed our efforts with two people praying to receive new life in Jesus Christ. It was also the 4th anniversary of the ministry that the Lord called me to start when we first moved here back in 2011.
Over the years, we have seen 17 people pray to receive Jesus, which is pretty good. But when you consider that perhaps over a million people have listened to us preach, that’s some pretty hard plowing. When the streets are full and packed with people, there isn’t a church on earth I would rather preach in than on our corner on St. George street. In the photo above, you can see the man we call ‘the gospel cowboy’, Bro. Damien, in the midst of the fight for souls.
People from all over the world walk our street, from Russia, Germany, France, Australia, China, Japan, and of course nearly every state in America. We plead with them earnestly to get saved, and hand them one of our gospel tracts. Click the image below to order a box of the very same gospel tracts we use.
I wrote this article today to encourage you to get in the game, to get something done for Jesus Christ while there is still time to do it. I am no one special, had no special training to do street work, and did not go to Bible school. But what I did do is answer the call when the Lord tapped on my shoulder and invited me to get in the game.
Now, how about you?
If you are a saved Christian, you have already been called to go out into the ‘highways and byways’ and compel them to come in. Please let me encourage you to pray and ask the Lord Jesus Christ where He would have you to minister. If I did it, so can you. Look at the top photo of me and our street team, we are no one special. We are grocery store workers, soldiers, burger flippers and web geeks. Just like you.
