A year ago, the prospect of President Trump being considered for a Nobel Peace Prize would have sent his critics’ heads spinning. Now, if all goes well in U.S. negotiations with North Korea, Trump should be the odds-on favorite for an award he will have truly earned.

A year ago, the prospect of President Trump being considered for a Nobel Peace Prize would have sent his critics’ heads spinning. Now, if all goes well in U.S. negotiations with North Korea, Trump should be the odds-on favorite for an award he will have truly earned.

EDITOR’S NOTE: A little more than one year into his presidency, Donald Trump is indeed making good on his promise to make America “win again”. Not only is the economy doing very well, with unemployment claims at their lowest since 1973, his foreign policy is paying huge dividends as well. After standing up to China on trade and North Korea on their nuclear missile program, the strong stance of the United States under President Trump has brought Kim Jong-Un not only to the negotiating table but to the peace table as well. North and South Korea making peace with each other is every bit as large an accomplishment as President Reagan overseeing the bringing down of the Berlin Wall. Trump has done more in a year and a half than Obama did in 8 years, and he’s done it with the entire fake news media and the entire Democratic Party working night and day to impeach him. Just imagine what he might have accomplished by this time without relentless attacks to bring him down. #MAGA

The stunning moves towards peace on the Korean Peninsula have generated the Nobel buzz. Resolving the almost seven-decade division — one of the last major vestiges of the Cold War — would be an epochal international event. South Korea’s former president Kim Dae Jung was awarded the peace prize in 2000 for simply beginning the process of détente with North Korea.

Now, the historic summit between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un alone has the makings of a peace prize-worthy effort, because it effectively ended a war that had been frozen since the 1950s. But President Moon went out of his way to give credit to Trump for setting the stage for the meeting. “President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize. All we need is to bring peace,” Moon said, according to the Blue House, Seoul’s equivalent of the White House.

Trump indeed deserves much of the credit for the breakthrough in relations. Trump was the first president to explicitly link U.S. trade policy with China to progress on the Korean Peninsula. Previous presidents had compartmentalized these issues, but Trump knows that the art of the deal is based on leverage. North Korea’s economy (such as it is) depends on China, and China’s well-being depends on trade with the United States. Beijing has much less interest in defending the right of its erratic Pyongyang ally to develop highly destabilizing nuclear-capable ballistic missiles than it does in maintaining its global markets. This reality was no doubt the framework for discussions in March between Kim and Chinese President Xi Jinping, when Beijing told Pyongyang that the party was over.

Trump also made clear the potential consequences of not moving towards peace.

Last year saw a series of threats and counter-threats as Kim took the measure of our new president, to see whether Trump was as tough as advertised. North Korea conducted several provocative nuclear and missile tests. Pyongyang threatened to launch missiles towards Hawaii or the U.S. mainland, and said it had the right to down American strategic bombers even outside North Korea’s airspace. In response, Trump said that any North Korean acts of war would “be met with fire and fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before.” Defense Secretary James Mattis laconically noted that if North Korea fired missiles towards the United States it would be “game on,” with all that implied.

Panicky pundits fretted about the possibility (if not certainty) of open war breaking out with North Korea. But as the Romans said, si vis pacem, para bellum — if you want peace, prepare for war. A peace through strength strategy only works when the adversary knows you mean business. And Trump had a “bigger button.”

The Nobel buzz also comes in the context of the award given to former president Barack Obama in his 2009 rookie year, with the hope he would make “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” But taking Obama’s foreign policy record as a whole, the Nobel committee made a down payment on a house that was never built. The reputation of the Peace Prize took a blow then, but it can be redeemed by recognizing the achievements of Obama’s successor.

President Trump leading from the front rather than from behind, is demonstrating that the United States can remain “the one indispensable nation in world affairs” only if it behaves like it. There is much yet to be done, of course. The outcome of the upcoming Trump/Kim summit will determine whether this prospective peace is durable or a mirage. But if all goes well and peace is finally at hand, a Nobel Prize for Trump would be a proper and fitting tribute to his remarkable achievement. source

At the very same time, the U.S. has restarted strikes against Iranian targets after renewed attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, with CENTCOM calling Iran’s actions a violation of the ceasefire. Hey, Christian, if you’ve been waiting for the end times to start, you’re already late to the party.

NATO Summit In Turkey Puts Trump Beside Recep Tayyip Erdoğan As Weapons, Alliances, Ukraine And Israel’s Regional Security All Collide

Donald Trump is in Turkey for the NATO Summit in Ankara, and that makes the whole scene far more significant than a routine diplomatic photo-op. He is standing in Ankara, at the center of the Western military alliance, being warmly received by enemy of Israel Recep Tayyip Erdoğan while NATO gathers to discuss defense spending, weapons production, Ukraine, and the future of global military power. This is not merely Trump visiting a foreign leader; this is Trump under the NATO banner, beneath the Turkish crescent and star, surrounded by soldiers, jets, smoke trails, and the unmistakable theater of state power.

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” Psalm 146:3 (KJB)

Erdoğan is not simply another NATO head of state, he has repeatedly positioned Turkey as a major Islamic power broker and has been one of the loudest anti-Israel voices in the alliance. Yet Trump, who has sold himself to evangelical Christians as Israel’s greatest political defender, is being celebrated by a leader whose rhetoric and regional ambitions run directly against Israel’s interests. The contradiction is glaring: praise Israel in one speech, embrace Erdoğan in the next, and expect Christians to call it “4D chess” and the “art of the deal”. Nothing could be further from the truth. And give Israel’s enemy f-35 fighter jets? Yikes.

 President Trump said he was lifting sanctions that bar the sale of certain military equipment to Turkey — potentially paving the way for the provision of advanced F-35 fighter jets. “We don’t want to sanction friends,” Trump told reporters.

Behind the pageantry is the real issue: weapons, leverage, and power. Reports surrounding the summit have included the possibility of Turkey returning to the F-35 fighter jet program, despite Turkey being removed after purchasing Russia’s S-400 missile system. Israel has reportedly raised serious concerns about what advanced American stealth fighters in Erdoğan’s hands could mean for the regional balance of power. So this is not just a handshake. It is a NATO summit in Turkey, hosted by Erdoğan, with Israel’s security concerns sitting in the background while Trump plays dealmaker on the world stage.

The student of prophecy should see this for what it is: not peace, not loyalty, and not righteousness, but end-times diplomacy in motion. The kings of the earth gather, flatter, bargain, arm, threaten, and realign while Israel remains the burdensome stone at the center of it all. The world calls it diplomacy. NATO calls it alliance management. The media calls it strategy. But the watchman sees another reminder that no prince, no president, no alliance, and no global summit can be trusted.

Trump Discernment Syndrome Is Not Derangement, It Is The Moment The MAGA Spell Breaks And You See The ‘America First’ Scam For What It Really Is

For years, the political elites and their cheering section have mocked truth-tellers with the phrase “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” as if anyone who questions Donald Trump must be irrational, bitter, or blinded by hatred. But the exact opposite is true. What we are watching is Trump Discernment Syndrome — the moment when people finally wake up and see through the carefully manufactured image, the endless branding, the fake strength, the hollow promises, and the nonstop social media memitic manipulation. It is the ability to look past the slogans, the staged patriotism, and the cult of personality and recognize the scam for what it is. That’s not derangement, that’s discernment, and you need to have it in these last days.

If Obama allowing the regime to survive was weakness, then Trump preserving the regime while calling it peace is also weakness. If Biden and his children profitting from his elected office was wrong, then Trump and his children profitting from his elected office has to be wrong. It must be wrong!
