The founder of the Hillsong megachurch, Brian Houston, has stepped down from the church’s board two months after being charged by Australia police with concealing his late father’s sex offenses.

As time goes by and more is uncovered, Hillsong Church is Australia seems to be rivaling the Roman Catholic Church when it comes to sexual assaulting their congregation, and then seeking to cover it up after it takes place. The scandal emanates from the very top with Hillsong founder Brian Houston who protected his pedophile father from the arm of the law, says the Australian police.

“And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.” Mark 9:42 (KJB)

But the Hillsong scandal goes much deeper than Brian Houston and his pedophile father, that’s the past. Hillsong in 2021 is riddled with sexual assault scandal everywhere you turn. Hillsong Church in New York City imploded last year as ‘pastor’ Carl Lentz resigned in disgrace after it was revealed that Hillsong NYC was ‘run like the Playboy mansion’. Hillsong Church is a stunning fulfillment of the end times Laodicean church from Revelation 3, and yes, Jesus will spue the whole thing from His mouth at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Houston has said that he will still be the church’s Global Senior Pastor in an internal email, People reported. In the email, Houston did not cite his upcoming court case in Australia, saying instead that he had resigned so the board could function ‘to their fullest capacity during this season.’

‘I also wanted to let you know that I’ve made a decision to step aside from my role on the Hillsong Church boards that oversee the governance of our operations. I did this so that these boards can function to their fullest capacity during this season. This doesn’t change my role as Global Senior Pastor. I thought it was important to let our church family know in the interests of transparency, and I wanted you to hear it from me directly,’ the email obtained by People said.

He is set to appear in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on October 5, exactly two months after he was charged by New South Wales Police Force with concealing a serious indictable offense.

‘Police will allege in court the man knew information relating to the sexual abuse of a young male in the 1970s and failed to bring that information to the attention of police,’ a statement NSW police said.

The charges can carry a maximum penalty of up to five years’ imprisonment, depending upon the exact crime concealed. Houston’s father, Frank Houston, was accused of sexually abusing a seven-year-old boy from Sydney’s east during trips from his native New Zealand three decades’ prior, in 1969 and 1970.

NSW Police began investigating Brian Houston after a 2014 royal commission into child sexual abuse delved into how Hillsong’s forerunners – the Hills and Sydney Christian Life Centres – handled 1999 abuse allegations raised against Frank Houston. Brian Houston, then the president of the evangelical organization the Assemblies of God in Australia, allegedly confronted his father, who confessed, the royal commission’s final report said.  The inquiry said that instead of reporting the abuse to police, Houston allowed his father to go into retirement and gave money to the alleged victim.

The victim told the commission he met Frank Houston at a McDonald’s restaurant in Thornleigh in 2000 and was offered a dirty napkin to sign in exchange for $10,000.  The victim said he felt ‘shame, fear and embarrassment’ for many years and suffered post-traumatic stress disorder. Frank Houston died in 2004, age 82, after confessing to a ‘continuing problem’ of a sexual interest in young boys. READ MORE

What Started As One Mother’s Plea For Her Two Incarcerated Sons Has Become An Open Door To Put King James Bibles Into The Hands Of Many Other Inmates

A mother contacted us today through our Bibles Behind Bars program with a heartfelt request for King James Bibles to be sent to her two sons incarcerated at Mid-State Correctional Facility, but the Lord had a much bigger plan in mind. What began as one mother refusing to give up on her boys has now opened the door for many more inmates at that facility to receive the word of God as well. What a timely reminder that when someone steps out in faith, the Lord can take that one act of obedience and multiply it into a blessing that reaches far beyond the original request! Loaves and fishes, anyone?

“When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.” Mark 8:19 (KJB)

After we got the request, I got on the phone with Chaplain Ellis at Mid-State Correctional, confirmed the woman’s two sons (name withheld) as being incarcerated there, and he told me that Mid-State holds a little over 1,500 inmates. I told him we could send him a bunch more than just the two Bibles, at no charge, and he was genuinely surprised and quite grateful for the offer, which he immediately took me up on. What started out as one mother with a burden for her sons to have God’s preserved word is now turning into an open floodgate of witness and ministry. This is why Bibles Behind Bars matters so much, because we are not merely sending books into prisons, we are sending the living word of God into places filled with darkness, regret, and brokenness. Inmates are getting saved, over 1,000 we know of so far, and eternal destinies are forever changed. Trump Portrays Himself As A Messianic Healer In New AI Image, Offering America A Counterfeit Antichrist Savior Vision That Mocks Jesus Christ

What makes this so grotesque is not merely that the image is theatrical, it is that it is blasphemous in tone. Donald Trump did not post some harmless patriotic meme. He posted imagery of himself doing what the New Testament shows the Lord Jesus Christ doing, laying hands on the afflicted as though he, Trump, were some kind of an anointed healer sent from heaven. That is not political branding, that is counterfeit messiah theater. It is the visual language of a man allowing himself to be cast in a role that belongs to Jesus Christ alone. Donald Trump has placed himself solidly in Antichrist territory, just look at the demon hovering over the top of his head and you’ll see what I mean.

“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” Daniel 7:25 (KJB)

On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, here we have a sitting president, wrapped up in an active war, wielding enormous state power, and at the very same time presenting himself in imagery that suggests messianic compassion, miracle healing, and divine touch. That is how strongmen are marketed. Whether Trump thinks of it as trolling, branding, or feeding his base does not change what it is. It is a public act of self-exaltation dressed up in spiritual symbolism. This was not presidential. It was not funny. It was not inspiring. It was freakish, spiritually polluted propaganda, and every Christian ought to stand up and say so plainly.
