Dallas Love Field Airport In Texas Is Now Testing Giant 7-Foot Tall ‘SCOT’ Robots To Monitor The Unmasked And Track Passengers Using Facial Recognition

The 7-ft tall giant robots nicknamed SCOT were installed a month ago to “determine if they are capable of efficiently supplementing current airport operations,” said Dallas Love Field spokeswoman Lauren Rounds. The robots look like many other kiosks at the airport with a touch screen with wayfinding information, maps of parking garages and directions to ride-hailing and shuttle pickup. But SCOT is much smarter, capable of detecting what people are wearing and even whether they’ve got on a face mask.

Love Field in Dallas Texas is testing out two Security Control Observation Towers at the airport, one near baggage claim and another near security checkpoints, to figure out whether ‘SCOT’ robotic assistants can both help customers get around and warn passengers who are breaking rules.

The forward progress of AI and robot technology progressed many fold during the halcyon days of the Plannedemic, as the world got used to wearing masks, keeping 6-feet apart, and mentally acquiescing to a perpetual state of lockdown. The lockdown is continuing as the world is waking up to the fact that we are now controlled by Artificial Intelligence and robot technology. Now in Texas, Dallas Love Field airport is testing 7-ft high robots nicknamed ‘SCOT’, which stands for Security Control Observation Towers, and they know if you are unmasked. In case no one told you, the giants are coming back.

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” Genesis 6:4 (KJB)

Jesus says that the time of Jacob’s trouble with its great Tribulation is likened to the ‘days of Noah’, a time where giants who were created as the result of fallen angels fornicating with human women roamed the earth and caused great wickedness. Jesus says that time will return in the days after He comes to catch out His Bride from off the earth. So while we wait for that, enjoy ‘SCOT’, the giant 7-ft robot who will soon be tracking you with facial recognition at your local airport. He will not, however, be able to stop you from boarding Flight #777!

7-foot-tall ‘SCOT’ robots at Dallas Love Field are watching for unmasked travelers and curbside loiterers

FROM THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS: While not quite Robocop, the machines, nicknamed SCOT, were installed a month ago to “determine if they are capable of efficiently supplementing current airport operations,” said Love Field spokeswoman Lauren Rounds. The robots look like many other kiosks at the airport with a touch screen with wayfinding information, maps of parking garages and directions to ride-hailing and shuttle pickup. But SCOT is much smarter, capable of detecting what people are wearing and even whether they’ve got on a face mask.

Airports have been at the forefront of technology, including facial recognition and other biometrics, for years, a trend that worries privacy advocates who say there are few, if any, laws or guidelines about how emerging technology should be used. Amazon took criticism in 2019 after testing its Rekognition technology with police departments before deciding to ban law enforcement from using it two years later.

Standing over 7’ tall, SCOT is capable of manning and monitoring locations 24/7, and at a fraction of the cost of manned security personnel. The unit’s 360° field of view through four high-positioned, hi-resolution, full-color, always-on digital cameras place eyes on property and periphery unlike any other product.

SCOT can be positioned and engaged to monitor and record both human and vehicle activity in any environment, indoors or outdoors. RAD’s feature of SuspectSpotter uses artificial intelligence for accurate detection of persons – and then can perform a variety of actions based on location, time of day and day of week.

But private businesses and airports have been more aggressive, and the COVID-19 pandemic has spurred more emphasis on touchless interactions using computers. Fort Worth-based American Airlines uses facial recognition for some customers to check bags and airports such as DFW partner with the U.S. State Department for facial recognition technology for incoming passengers.

Surveillance technology hasn’t stopped progressing because the rest of the world was in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. In fact, more and more institutions and companies are using artificial intelligence to monitor spaces, said Adam Schwartz, an attorney for digital privacy rights group Electronic Frontier Foundation.

“It is concerning that an airport has installed a new system of artificial intelligence,” Schwartz said. “It raises a lot of questions about what that technology is doing.”

Love Field is one of two airports to start using the technology from the company Robotic Assistance Devices, said the company’s CEO and founder Steve Reinharz. The other airport, which Reinharz said he was not able to disclose, uses a related technology from the company in parking lots to detour thefts and break-ins.

“This has more of a full-circle purpose to be a regular, physical deterrent,” he said. “That’s the direction the industry has to go because we have some significant labor issues.”

The robotic SCOT kiosks can detect passengers and behavior based on rules set by each user, such as the airport. For instance, people driving up to the curbside drop-off area late at night might get a series of verbal warnings that escalate in volume and severity. Finally, the machine can call police, notify on-site security or even allow someone to make an announcement remotely. The machines can also detect flagged individuals based on what they are wearing, especially if they are in areas susceptible to crime, such as baggage claim, Reinharz said.

License plate-scanning cameras can issue warnings to suspicious vehicles or prompt cars to move along if they’ve been waiting too long in passenger pick-up lanes.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company said it also pushed a technology that can detect whether subjects are wearing face masks. Face masks have been a point of contention on airplanes but remain a federal mandate until at least April 18.

“The units currently make scheduled and detection-based announcements directed toward our passengers and visitors,” Rounds said. “Some of these focus on reducing vehicular congestion at our curb using license plate recognition and increasing federal mask compliance using facial recognition technology while others provide standard information.”

The airport isn’t paying for the kiosks now while they test the capabilities, but Dallas Love Field did pay about $4,000 to have them shipped to Texas. READ MORE

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 15,860+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 150,000+ followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,900 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.

While it may sound like an episode of Black Mirror, Americans can now purchase a flamethrower-wielding robot dog online from Throwflame called Thermonator.

Have you ever spent a hot, summer afternoon at a water park? I have, and it’s one of my favorite things to do. There is this curious moment that takes place after you enter into the water, right before the thundering force of the jets carry you forward. In that brief, little space, you are calm and peaceful, luxuriously basking in the cool water. Then you reach the main current and woosh!! you go at what feels like a million miles per hour. This is where we are right now with the incoming tide of AI and robot technology, in that brief little moment before the avalanche sweeps us inexorably forward into only God knows what’s coming next.

“Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.” Habakkuk 1:5 (KJB)

The opening years of the 20th century was an overwhelming outpouring of information and global travel and exploration, exactly as Daniel had foreseen in chapter 12 of his book. In America, so many new things were being invented that we felt that nothing was out of our reach, and that we were on the verge of create a thousand year reign of peace and prosperity. Many of the Christian scholars were amillennial, secure in their thinking that we were ‘bringing in the kingdom’. Then WWI hit, and the world watch as all that technology we had just invented was now being used to wage war as never seen before in entire annals of human history. Soldiers literally went insane watching the ‘benefits of modern technology’ helping them to live a ‘better and more prosperous life’. Now here in 2024 we have flamethrower-wielding robot dogs named Thermonator here to meet all our flamethrowing needs as Hell continues to enlarge itself. Check your watch, Christian, it’s later than you think.

Meet the Thermonator: First ever flamethrowing robot dog that shoots jets of fire up to 30 feet hits US market

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Ohio-based Throwflame opened sales for its ‘Thermonator’ Tuesday, selling its 37-pound quadruped machine for $9,420 that is legal in all US states except Maryland. A demonstration video shows a Thermonator creeping and jumping through a forest before torching its surroundings with a 30-foot jet of fire spewing from a flame thrower on its back. Throwflame, based in Cleveland, claims to be the oldest flamethrower manufacturer in the US.

The company released the first-ever full-sized, commercially available flamethrower in 2015, which shoots flames up to 50 feet. ‘This unregulated flamethrower sparked a significant media response relating to legality,’ Throwflame shared on its website. ‘However, flamethrowers remain federally unregulated. This means anyone can buy one without background checks or a waiting period.’

Thermonator appears to be designed like most quadruped robots but has one of Throwflame’s devices attached to its back. The robot dog boasts a variety of cameras and sensors, allowing it to autonomously move throughout its surroundings and find targets to set ablaze. The machine is remotely operated – the demonstration video shows a handler controlling it with a smartphone.

Social media users have weighed in on the machine, comparing it to an episode in the fourth season of Black Mirror titled ‘Metalhead.’

The episode explores what could happen if these machines turned on us, revealing the terrifying quest for survival in a world where robo-dogs can outrun and outsmart humans. X user Rob Sheepe posted: ‘Some real-life Black Mirror ‘Metalhead’ terror right here. How is this legal?’

However, Maryland is the only US state that bans flamethrowers – California requires a permit to own one. Possessing or using a flamethrower in Maryland is punishable by a $250,000 fine and up to 25 years imprisonment.  In 2015, Congress introduced a bill that would treat flamethrowers like machine guns, but was stalled and later dismissed. Should You Be Scared? OpenAI Introduces Sora ‘Text-To-Video’ AI That Absolutely Stuns Social Media With Mind-Bending PhotoReality

OpenAI is launching a new video-generation model, and it’s called Sora. The AI company says Sora ‘can create realistic and imaginative scenes from text instructions.’

Social media right now is on fire, in a total state of shock over the new hyper-realistic videos created in under 30 second by an AI program called Sora from OpenAI. It is the most-realistic AI video you’ve ever seen, and text-to-video technology is still very much in it’s infancy. For a comparison, think of how different things had been if the first plane successfully flown at Kitty Hawk would have done 60 miles-per-hour instead of the 6.8 MPH it actually did. That would have made for a completely different development curve. That’s Sora, and she’s here to blow your mind.

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Daniel 12:4 (KJB)

We are right now in a period of time where AI programs like Sora can be given a text prompt like “show me two kittens eating tacos in a snowstorm in August”, and in under 30 seconds you are looking at that video. What does that mean? It means that from this moment on, no photo can be trusted, no video believed, there is zero guarantee that anything we are shown from this point on is actually real. These text-to-video creations are starting hyper-realistic, but in a few months to a year they will be indistinguishable from an actual video or movie. AI is like that old movie ‘The Blob’ with Steve McQueen in the 1950’s. It’s oozing out of every crack and crevice, and there is no where to go to get away from it. AI is of the Devil, and it’s here to prepare the world for the arrival of Antichrist.

Now, the really mind-blowing part of all this is that the videos are created from words, spoken or typed, and the AI ‘gives birth’ to the video. God created everything using words. AI so very much has the fingerprint of the Devil all over it. Avoid it for as long as you can, but fair warning, soon it will be impossible to avoid.

OpenAI introduces Sora, its text-to-video AI model

FROM THE VERGE: Sora is capable of creating “complex scenes with multiple characters, specific types of motion, and accurate details of the subject and background,” according to OpenAI’s introductory blog post. The text-to-video model allows users to create photorealistic videos up to a minute long — all based on prompts they’ve written.

The company also notes that the model can understand how objects “exist in the physical world,” as well as “accurately interpret props and generate compelling characters that express vibrant emotions.”

The model can also generate a video based on a still image, as well as fill in missing frames on an existing video or extend it. The Sora-generated demos included in OpenAI’s blog post include an aerial scene of California during the gold rush, a video that looks as if it were shot from the inside of a Tokyo train, and others. Many have some telltale signs of AI — like a suspiciously moving floor in a video of a museum — and OpenAI says the model “may struggle with accurately simulating the physics of a complex scene,” but the results are overall pretty impressive.

A couple of years ago, it was text-to-image generators like Midjourney that were at the forefront of models’ ability to turn words into images. But recently, video has begun to improve at a remarkable pace: companies like Runway and Pika have shown impressive text-to-video models of their own, and Google’s Lumiere figures to be one of OpenAI’s primary competitors in this space, too. Similar to Sora, Lumiere gives users text-to-video tools and also lets them create videos from a still image.

None of this is real either

Sora is currently only available to “red teamers” who are assessing the model for potential harms and risks. OpenAI is also offering access to some visual artists, designers, and filmmakers to get feedback. It notes that the existing model might not accurately simulate the physics of a complex scene and may not properly interpret certain instances of cause and effect. READ MORE

CaliExpress: World’s First Fully Autonomous AI-Powered Restaurant Is Set to Open in Southern California

For many years now, tech billionaires have been quietly, but furiously, working away in secret labs to perfect autonomous AI, and when it’s done it will seem like it came from nowhere all at once. It will be everywhere all at once, in everything, and for a moment it will seem like a blessing. But Artificial Intelligence is the opposite of that, it is coming to take over. CaliExpress by Flippy is just the opening salvo, a tasty tech appetizer if you’ll pardon the pun.

“Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.” Proverbs 1:31 (KJB)

All those dystopian movies of the past few decades have been mentally preparing us for the coming war between man and machine, a war that has its roots in the Tower of Babel. That war of course is a 7-year war that will feature the very latest in artificial intelligence, supercharged with the supernatural. By that point, all of us who are saved and sealed until the day of redemption will be gone, leaving those of you who’ve been left behind to figure it out. You can enjoy the Tribulation or get saved. Your choice.

CaliExpress By Flippy will deploy cutting-edge food tech, automating both grill and fry stations.

FROM TECH TIMES: Holding company Cali Group has joined forces with Miso Robotics, the innovator behind Flippy (the pioneering AI-powered robotic fry station), and PopID, a technology firm streamlining ordering and payments through biometrics. Together, they announced the upcoming launch of CaliExpress by Flippy, heralded as the world’s first fully autonomous restaurant. This establishment will deploy state-of-the-art food technology systems, automating both grill and fry stations by combining artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.

Located in a prime retail spot in Pasadena, California, at 561 E. Green St., the new CaliExpress by Flippy will redefine the dining experience for guests.

Patrons will witness the robotic preparation of their meals after checking in with their PopID accounts at self-ordering kiosks, allowing for personalized order recommendations and seamless payments. The restaurant’s technological prowess promises an efficient and safe environment for employees. For customers, incorporating diverse technologies in CaliExpress by Flippy ensures the delivery of freshly prepared burgers at competitive prices.

A noteworthy feature is the grill robot, which grinds high-quality beef in real-time upon receiving an order, resulting in a l burger patty. Flippy, the renowned robotic fry station, adds to the menu by offering crispy, hot fries made from premium-grade potatoes.

“To our knowledge, this is the world’s first operating restaurant where both ordering and every single cooking process are fully automated,” John Miller, CEO of PopID and board member of Miso Robotics, said in a statement.

“The marriage of these various technologies to create the most autonomous restaurant in the world is the culmination of years of research, development, and investment in a family of revolutionary companies,” he added. READ MORE
