Both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that advisers to Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) intervened with officials of the New York State Department of Health in July and caused them to underreport the number of COVID-19 deaths in the state at that time by at least 2,800, and possibly more.

At this moment, the only thing holding up “Randy” Andy Cuomo is the fact that the fake news media is still not really going after him like they would a Republican. If this was Trump, the combined media assault would be relentless and inescapable. But because it’s a Democrat, different rules apply. The media is reporting on it, albeit half-heartedly and not aggressively.

So not only did Cuomo issue the order that sent thousands of COVID-infected elderly back to the nursing homes that resulted in thousands of catastrophic deaths, he then ordered it to be 1). covered up, and 2). lied and had all his aides lie about the deaths and the coverup. His liberal sycophants in Hollywood gave him an Emmy award for his phony, lie-filled press conferences while praising the ‘real leadership’ coming from New York.

This is all “par for the course” from a man who laughed and rejoiced after signing the Reproductive Health Act bill into law authorizing the murder of unborn New Yorkers up to their due date. Cuomo is killing them from both ends of the spectrum, and astonishingly still sits in the governor’s chair as of this writing. If you find any of this, or all of this rightly sickening, just remember he is also facing a minimum of three sexual assault allegations brought against him by former female employees. What will it take to remove this stain on New York?

WSJ, NYT: Cuomo Advisers Altered Report that Undercounted COVID-19 Nursing Home Deaths to Shift Blame from NY Gov.

FROM BREITBART NEWS: The primary purpose of this New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) report, as initially published July 6, 2020 using the significantly underreported COVID-19 nursing home death data, appears to have been to absolve Gov. Cuomo of responsibility for the dramatic increase in nursing home COVID-19 deaths that took place in the immediate aftermath of his March 25, 2020 order requiring nursing homes to accept COVID-19 positive residents.

“A survey conducted by NYSDOH shows that approximately 6,326 COVID-positive residents were admitted to facilities between March 25, 2020 and May 8, 2020,” the July 6, 2020 NYSDOH report stated:

However, an analysis of the timing of admissions versus fatalities shows that it could not be the driver of nursing home infections or fatalities. An individual nursing home-by-nursing home analysis of admissions versus fatalities further supports this finding.

A causal link between the admission policy and infections/fatalities would be supported through a direct link in timing between the two, meaning that if admission of patients into nursing homes caused infection—and by extension mortality— the time interval between the admission and mortality curves would be consistent with the expected interval between infection and death.

However, the peak date COVID-positive residents entered nursing homes occurred on April 14, 2020, a week after peak mortality in New York’s nursing homes occurred on April 8, 2020. If admissions were driving fatalities, the order of the peak fatalities and peak admissions would have been reversed.

But Thursday’s reports in the Journal and the Times serve to undermine the credibility of that absolution for Cuomo, since the underlying data underreported COVID-19 nursing home deaths by at least 40 percent, if not more, during the March 25 to May 8, 2020 time period when COVID-19 positive patients were admitted to nursing homes.

Citing “people with knowledge of the report’s production,” the Journal reported the details in a story titled “Cuomo Advisers altered Report on COVID-19 Nursing Home Deaths: Changes resulted in a significant undercount of the death toll attributed to long-term-care facility residents.”

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s top advisers successfully pushed state health officials to strip a public report of data showing that more nursing-home residents had died of Covid-19 than the administration had acknowledged, according to people with knowledge of the report’s production.

The July report, which examined the factors that led to the spread of the virus in nursing homes, focused only on residents who died inside long-term-care facilities, leaving out those who had died in hospitals after becoming sick in nursing homes. As a result, the report said 6,432 nursing-home residents had died—a significant undercount of the death toll attributed to the state’s most vulnerable population, the people said. The initial version of the report said nearly 10,000 nursing-home residents had died in New York by July last year, one of the people said.

The changes Mr. Cuomo’s aides and health officials made to the nursing-home report, which haven’t been previously disclosed, reveal that the state possessed a fuller accounting of out-of-facility nursing-home deaths as early as the summer. The Health Department resisted calls by state and federal lawmakers, media outlets and others to release the data for another eight months. (emphasis added)

The latest revelation in the expanding Cuomo nursing home scandal comes on the heels of a report last month from the Empire Center for Public Policy that “undermines claims by the New York State Department of Health that Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s (D-NY) controversial March 25 order requiring nursing homes in the state to admit coronavirus-positive residents had no impact on nursing home coronavirus death rates.”

In that report, titled, “COVID-positive Admissions Were Correlated with Higher Death Rates in New York Nursing Homes,” the Albany, New York, based think tank concluded, “The admission of coronavirus-positive patients into New York nursing homes under March 25 guidance from the New York State Department of Health was associated with a statistically significant increase in resident deaths.”

Cuomo’s controversial March 25, 2020, guidance was in effect until May 10, 2020.

“Statewide, the findings imply that COVID-positive new admissions between late March and early May, which numbered 6,327, were associated with several hundred and possibly more than 1,000 additional resident deaths,” (emphasis added) the Empire Center study found .

The conclusion of the Empire Center study stated:

The data indicate that the March 25 memo was not the sole or primary cause of the heavy death toll in nursing homes, which stood at approximately 13,200 as of early this month [February 2021]. At the same time, the findings contradict a central conclusion of the Health Department’s July 6 report on coronavirus in nursing homes, which said, among other things: “Admission policies were not a significant factor in nursing home fatalities” and “The data do not show a consistent relationship between admissions and increased mortality.”

The Journal reported back in September that Cuomo’s aides reviewed the July report:

State health officials said in a July report that long-term-care facilities were already rife with infection by the March 25 nursing-home order, attributing the spread among patients to employees who brought the virus with them to work.

Senior members of Mr. Cuomo’s staff reviewed and edited the report before it was published, state officials said. The governor’s team also withheld approval for the resumption of nursing-home visitations, people familiar with the matter said, and rejected a Health Department proposal for a regional approach to easing the ban.

A Health Department spokesman said the agency had taken a thoughtful approach that involves “monitoring the data, reviewing reasonable requests and recognizing that this pandemic is not over.” (emphasis added)

The New York Times on Thursday offered a similar account to the Journal on the underreporting of COVID-19 nursing home deaths in the July 2020 New York State Department of Health Report, though it said the true number of COVID-19 nursing home deaths was 9,250, not the Journal‘s “less than 10,000,” as Breitbart News reported:

The New York Times details the coverup citing new documents and interviews with six people involved in the concealment of deaths.

Cuomo (D) faced early criticism in his state for ordering nursing homes to take patients who had tested positive for the coronavirus, as the elderly are among those most vulnerable to the virus.

After reports surfaced in February that Cuomo was intentionally hiding the numbers, the governor’s office explained he was withholding the truth to prevent then-President Donald Trump’s administration from using the data to launch a politically motivated attack.

Cuomo blamed the “toxic political environment” and “disinformation” for the revised numbers.

But the Times states Cuomo began hiding the truth about the numbers long before the Justice Department began their investigation in August.

The June numbers showed the actual death toll in nursing homes was “roughly 50 percent higher” than the numbers ultimately cited by the Cuomo administration, according to the Times.

The actual number of 9,250 nursing home deaths by June were much larger than the reported 6,432 nursing-home deaths — more than a 40 percent increase.

Cuomo’s hold on his job appears to be weakening each day as new revelations about COVID-19 nursing home deaths in New York and allegations of sexual harassment against the embattled governor continue to mount. READ MORE

The food has run out for the children at the Glory Fellowship Orphanage in Kenya, and the Lord has given us the calling to step in and do what we can

I got on a video call this morning with Pastor Dancan in Kenya for our weekly Bible Study and discipleship time, and almost immediately I could see he was highly preoccupied with something else. I asked him what was going on, and he said he was troubled because the local people who normally donate beans, rice, banans and oil to help feed the 84 kids in his charge had not supplied him with that recently, and he wasn’t quite sure how to solve the problem. When I asked how long it was since the children had eaten, and he said 3 days, that hit me hard.

“Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:17 (KJB)

I will be honest, my first reaction upon hearing the kids hadn’t eaten in 3 days was not so much sadness, it was anger. Not anger at any person, but it made me mad that such a situation could take place. Fighting mad. So immediately, I instructed our contact in Kenya to deliver to Pastor Dancan enough rice, beans, maize, bananas, cooking oil and salt to solve the immediate need for all the children, some of which has already arrived at the orphanage. The rest, Lord willing, will arrive tomorrow. I am praying that we will be able to keep them fed for the next month or so, and that many reading this article will want to partner with us to meet this pressing need. But what we really need to do for them is get them self-sufficient by planting some basic crops and getting them some chickens, a goat and a cow. The cost to supply them with foodstuffs for the next month is $3,500, and I am right now researching the most feasible way to help them build a little farm. NTEB and For His Glory Ministries Are Partnering To Open A Bible And Gospel Tract Printing And Distribution Center In The Philippines

The 8th NTEB Old-Fashioned Camp Meeting is officially one month away, and we are soooo excited to see everyone. As you know, our theme this is missions – local and foreign -and will be present a roster of speakers who are actively engaged in missions in these last days. Over the past several months, we have gotten to know and spend time with newlywed couple Mike and Michelle Burton, and we bring you the good news of their surrendering to be boots-on-the-ground missionaires to Angeles City in the Philippines. Not only that, NTEB will be partnering with them and their For His Glory Ministries, to open up a Bible printing facility and evangelization outpost! We just wrapped up a podcast with them, and you can watch it below. We have prayed a long time for the Lord to give us an opening in the Philippines, and now He has in a mighty and incredible way.

Ever since we started our Free Bible Program, it has been our hearts desire to establish an NTEB base in the Philippines for the distrubution of Bibles in English and Tagalog, as well as gospel tracts and scripture portions. We get thousands of requests per year, and have always wanted to have a facility there. But try as we might, as we prayed for this over the years, the Lord never opened up that door for us, until now that is. Mike and Michelle, along with Philippine national Edgardo Gatchalian, have secured a location in Angeles City where they will not only be living, but will also serve as base of operations for printing Bibles and tracts, as well as a distrubution center. NTEB will be providing them with Bibles and tracts, as well as helping to cover some of the costs of getting their new facility up and running. When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. We have a Gospel Billboard program. We are now broadcasting Bible studies, Podcasts and a Sunday Service 5 times a week, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.
