The Sierra Conservation Correction Center In California has reached out in need of King James Authorized Version Holy Bibles

The email I got from Chaplain Dean at the Sierra Conservation Correction Center In California yesterday, from the opening few words, was different from any other email request I can recall in recent memory. Not only was it so unique, it is a knockout powerful reminder of the importance of the Bibles Behind Bars program. Nothing like it anywhere, as you’ll soon see.

“To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.” Isaiah 42:7 (KJB)

Chaplain Dean writes “Although officially the Catholic Chaplain, I’m one of only two chaplains serving our extensive inmate community. The other chaplain is Muslim. We have several requests for the King James Version, a few for the NKJV, and a growing interest in Bibles. As a Catholic, I bring my Revised Standard Version and have explained to our IP’s (Incarcerated Persons, as the system now refers to inmates) about the evolution of the ESV. All this to explain that whatever Bibles we receive are distributed quickly among our diverse population. So… please let me know what would be possible. Since it’s easy to obtain copies of the NIV and NLT translations, I’m contacting you to request the more faithful and precise versions which you and a few other ministries make available.” So that blew my mind, a Catholic chaplain serving alongside a Muslim chaplain, and requesting King James Bibles specifically. Wow. So I wrote back right away, told him we could help, and asked him a few questions. When 12 hours had elapsed without receiving a reply, I wrote a second time, and his reply blew my mind, for a second time.

He said “Bro. Geoffrey, Wow. You truly are amazing. I’ve contacted several suppliers of Bibles over the past four weeks, and not only are you the first to respond, but you’ve written twice, and immediately following my inquiry.  This testifies to your sense of urgency that our inmates receive high-quality translations of the Word.” Let that sink in for just a moment. Waiting a month for replies from ministries offering King James Bibles, a month, and the only answer he gets is from us. That’s it, right there, we have a sense of end times, last days urgency to get something done for the Lord Jesus Christ. Cut. Print. Wrap. That’s it. Praise the Lord!! Will you come help us?

As Islam rises, Bibles Behind Bars is a vitally important resource for chaplains in the jails and prisons bringing inmates the truth of new life that’s found only in Jesus Christ

In a 2024 population profile, the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), which operates state prisons, reported that over 2,000 incarcerated people self-identify as Muslim. With that many adherents of Islam, jailhouse conversions are dramatically on the rise. The same thing is happening in Texas where 9–18% of inmates identify as Muslim, comprising 80% of all religious shifts behind bars. Wow, that’s huge. We send Bibles to both those states on a regular basis, and it’s having a huge impact.

“Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.” Psalm 142:7 (KJB)

Pastor Ricky Spence of the Gospel Truth Jail Ministry wrote to me the other day to say “as a results of all the thousands of Bibles you send us, inmates are not only getting saved, but they are joining our Bible studies after we give them a Bible”. If you’re interested in the ‘mission field’ there is no bigger one than inside the jails and prisons here in the United States. Chaplain Todd at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center wrote to me last week and said “I have personally seen 116 inmates saved this year, so far. There are more with our other volunteers. We usually have several each month that get baptized. It is also exciting to see inmates lead other inmates to Christ, which has been happening a lot lately. Thank you for all the Bibles, to God be the glory!” They’re getting results like these because we supply them with all the Bibles, books, scripture portions and gospel tracts that they need. NTEB is helping a soul-winning free meal delivery ministry ‘God’s Kitchen’ increase their current output by over 30% in 2026

It’s only been a week since we launched a $25,000 fundraiser to help local Christian free meal delivery outreach ‘God’s Kitchen’ finish construction of their prep kitchen in their new and larger facility, but praise the Lord, we are already halfway there. What a blessing! Once completed, God’s Kitchen will be able to make and deliver well over 3,500 meals per month, free to any and all who reach out to request the meals. Last month, they did right around 2,800 meals, so this will be a huge increase.

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Colossians 3:17 (KJB)

At God’s Kitchen, meal preparation starts at 6:30 a.m., with delivery pickup starting around 8:30 a.m. and the goal of all the meals being delivered by noon. Childers said his organization does not operate with funding from state or federal sources. Instead, donations come from local churches, private donors, food drives and local food vendors. Not only do they supply the meals, they also offer to pray with everyone they deliver to, as well as offering them a King James Bible, supplied by us.

“We expect this to grow as our ministry grows,” he said. “We predict the need for our services to increase by 25 to 30% this year.”

Childers and his crew are making plans to relocate to its new location, 2804 Reid St. in Palatka without missing a beat in their meal delivery. “The building is in a great location and will give easy access to our existing routes of delivery,” he said. “There is enough room that this will be our forever home.”

Christian, what a wonderful opportunity the Lord is giving us here, to help a Christian, soul-winning meal delivery ministry to deliver more meals and more Bibles. We are so very excited to have reached the halfway point in this fundraiser so quickly, and so very grateful to all of you who are supporting it.
