Cardboard Bicycle Can Change The World, Says Israeli Inventor

A bicycle made almost entirely of cardboard has the potential to change transportation habits from the world’s most congested cities to the poorest reaches of Africa, its Israeli inventor says.

MOSHAV AHITUV, Israel (Reuters) – A bicycle made almost entirely of cardboard has the potential to change transportation habits from the world’s most congested cities to the poorest reaches of Africa, its Israeli inventor says.

Izhar Gafni, 50, is an expert in designing automated mass-production lines. He is an amateur cycling enthusiast who for years toyed with an idea of making a bicycle from cardboard.

He told Reuters during a recent demonstration that after much trial and error, his latest prototype has now proven itself and mass production will begin in a few months.

“I was always fascinated by applying unconventional technologies to materials and I did this on several occasions. But this was the culmination of a few things that came together. I worked for four years to cancel out the corrugated cardboard’s weak structural points,” Gafni said.

“Making a cardboard box is easy and it can be very strong and durable, but to make a bicycle was extremely difficult and I had to find the right way to fold the cardboard in several different directions. It took a year and a half, with lots of testing and failure until I got it right,” he said.

Cardboard, made of wood pulp, was invented in the 19th century as sturdy packaging for carrying other more valuable objects, it has rarely been considered as raw material for things usually made of much stronger materials, such as metal.

Once the shape has been formed and cut, the cardboard is treated with a secret concoction made of organic materials to give it its waterproof and fireproof qualities. In the final stage, it is coated with lacquer paint for appearance.

In testing the durability of the treated cardboard, Gafni said he immersed a cross-section in a water tank for several months and it retained all its hardened characteristics.

Once ready for production, the bicycle will include no metal parts, even the brake mechanism and the wheel and pedal bearings will be made of recycled substances, although Gafni said he could not yet reveal those details due to pending patent issues.

“I’m repeatedly surprised at just how strong this material is, it is amazing. Once we are ready to go to production, the bike will have no metal parts at all,” Gafni said.

Gafni’s workshop, a ramshackle garden shed, is typically the sort of place where legendary inventions are born. It is crammed with tools and bicycle parts and cardboard is strewn everywhere.

One of his first models was a push bike he made as a toy for his young daughter which she is still using months later.

Gafni owns several top-of-the-range bicycles which he said are worth thousands of dollars each, but when his own creation reaches mass production, it should cost no more than about $20 to buy. The cost of materials used are estimated at $9 per unit.

“When we started, a year and a half or two years ago, people laughed at us, but now we are getting at least a dozen e-mails every day asking where they can buy such a bicycle, so this really makes me hopeful that we will succeed,” he said.

A ride of the prototype was quite stiff, but generally no different to other ordinary basic bikes.

“GAME CHANGER”

Nimrod Elmish, Gafni’s business partner, said cardboard and other recycled materials could bring a major change in current production norms because grants and rebates would only be given for local production and there would be no financial benefits by making bicycles in cheap labor markets.

“This is a real game-changer. It changes … the way products are manufactured and shipped, it causes factories to be built everywhere instead of moving production to cheaper labor markets, everything that we have known in the production world can change,” he said.

Elmish said the cardboard bikes would be made on largely automated production lines and would be supplemented by a workforce comprising pensioners and the disabled.

He said that apart from the social benefits this would provide for all concerned, it would also garner government grants for the manufacturers. source – Yahoo News

In the current conflict, Iran has already launched missile barrages toward Israeli cities after strikes on Iranian territory, pushing the Middle East closer to a direct regional war than at any point in decades. The Middle East stands right now on the brink of a war that no one but Trump and Hegseth wants but likely can’t be stopped if things continue to escalate much further.

Iran threatens to nuke Israel with chilling image showing missile obliterating Tel Aviv

FROM THE UK EXPRESS: Iran has shared a chilling image of a nuclear missile striking an Israeli city, which appears to be Tel Aviv. In a post on X, the account previously belonging to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that “Khorramshahr is ahead”, in reference to the ballistic missile named after the Iranian city.

Included in the post was also a striking image of the missile being developed underground, fired from a mobile launcher, and hitting what appears to be the Israeli city. In another post, the account promised consequences, “by God’s grace”, for “the Zionist regime”.

It said: “The Zionist regime has made a big mistake, and its consequences will make the regime desperate, by God’s grace.”

The city depicted in the image appears to be Tel Aviv, with an Israeli flag and coastal skyline visible. This comes after Tehran launched an overnight attack of cluster bombs targeting Tel Aviv, which were seen in shocking videos flying through the air before crashing into the ground. Huge blazes erupt as they smash into their targets, with witnesses watching on and filming the explosions. The cluster bombs open up as they zero in on their targets, sending around twenty smaller munitions flying out in a radius of roughly five miles. Each of the smaller missiles carries around 2.5kg of explosives, potentially causing huge damage.

Israel also inflicted the worst night of bombing on Tehran since the war began last weekend, launching a “broad-scale wave of strikes” aimed at wiping out the Islamic regime. The intense bombardment on Friday morning saw explosions ringing out across the city, and plumes of smoke and fire lighting up the sky. Residents said their homes shook and they were left without internet and power, plunging them into darkness. A man in his 30s told the BBC: “The house was shaking for five minutes straight. On our Podcast yesterday, we told you that war with Iran would come within 24 hours and that’s exactly what we are watching here in the early morning hours on this Saturday. The goal of this attack is to remove the current leadership of the Ayatollah and restore Iran to their pre-1978 Persian heritage. Iran becoming Persia again? That put’s us squarely back on the end times timeline and Middle East Bible prophecy as we draw closer and closer to the final countdown. Trump said on Truth Social this morning “We are going to destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground. It will be totally… obliterated. Israel has named this campaign ‘Operation Lion’s Roar’ which from a prophetic perspective is quite tantalizing. They will soon come face to face with the actual Lion from the tribe of Judah in the upcoming time of Jacob’s trouble, and in that day they will mourn and wail. Trump announces ‘major combat operations’ in Iran

FROM THE AP: The U.S. and Israel launched a major attack on targets across Iran on Saturday. U.S. President Donald Trump urged Iranians to take cover during the strikes, but then: “When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take.” It was an extraordinary appeal that suggested the allies could be seeking to end of the country’s theocracy after decades of tensions.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu echoed that sweeping goal. “Our joint operation will create the conditions for the brave Iranian people to take their fate into their own hands,” Netanyahu said.

In a video posted on social media, Trump claimed Iran has continued to develop its nuclear program and plans to develop missiles to reach the U.S.

The first strikes of the attack appeared to target the compound home to Iran’s 86-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in downtown Tehran. It wasn’t immediately clear if he was there at the time. Smoke could be seen rising from the Iranian capital.

The attack quickly expanded beyond Iran. Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard said it responded by launching a “first wave” of drones and missiles targeting Israel, where a nationwide warning was issued as the military said it bring down Iranian fire. READ MORE

The Bible declares the day is coming when King Jesus will restore the Jews as His people and Israel as His holy land

The other day I watched something truly incredible, I saw Tucker Carlson in an interview with US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, and they were discussing who has the right to the land of Israel. In near disbelief, I watched as Tucker suggested compelling Jews in the Middle East to submit to a ‘Mischling Test’ created by the Nazis in WWII to determine bloodlines, and only the Jews who ‘passed the test’ would be allowed to live in the land of Israel. It was a total Twilight Zone moment, and the funny thing is, nearly no one is prepared for how the Bible says it will actually go.

“He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” Luke 1:32,33 (KJB)

So let me help you today by showing you what your King James Bible decrees to be the absolute truth of what will most assuredly happen when Jesus Christ returns with His Body on white horses at the Second Advent to restore the Jews and the nation of Israel. This is information virtually unknown on social media and not preached in most churches including Baptist churches.

1). Israel becomes the center of the world

“For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.” Deuteronomy 14:2 (KJB)

When King Jesus sets up His government, it will be smack-dab in the literal, physical and visible modern-day Israel that is held in such disdain and low account here in our day. The hallowed halls of the stately thrones of Europe along with the power and might of the great America are tossed to the side like so much garbage on a trash heap in favor of the world’s most-deadly piece of dirt, Israel, as the place where Jesus sets up shop. No, this is not happening spiritually, metaphorically or in ‘types and pictures’, this happens in 3D Earth time as the world watches. The land that is now so despised, by Jew and Gentile alike, becomes literal holy ground. Israel will stand above, not among, all the nations of the Earth, and the inhabitants of Earth will bow down before it.

2). The Jews will be on top

“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.” Zechariah 8:23 (KJB)

You want to talk about ‘Zionist conspiracies’? This is a good one! Imagine King Jesus returns as the Bible says He will, and when His government is set up, if you want to know what’s going on, you got to go find a Jew to teach you a few things about the new system. Gentile rule and dominion? Dead as a doornail and never to be seen again. Times of the Gentiles are now finished, and the lowly, maligned and hated Jew is now on top. Democracies and Republics are yesterday’s news, welcome to the real Theocracy.

3). The land of Israel will be massive

“In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.” Genesis 15:18-21 (KJB)

Israel in 2026 exists as a sliver of land roughly the size of the state of New Jersey, but in the new government, it will be quite a bit larger. This new Israel will include what is now the upper-right portion of Egypt, all of modern-day Israel, all of Lebanon, all of of Syria, a piece of Turkey, half of Iraq, the northern half of Jordan, and a little slice of Saudi Arabia. What will happen to the Palestinians that everyone is so concerned about? The LORD kicks them out of the land that never has, and never will, belong to them. Zechariah 14:21 says “…and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.” One state solution, check.

“For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.” Numbers 23:9 (KJB)

You know why you don’t understand the Middle East? Because you’re not looking at it how the Bible looks at it. Because if you did, you would clearly see that in the last days, the Jews will be apostate and not in a right relationship with God, just as they are right now. But their restoration is coming. You would see how Israel was called to be separate from all the nations, not a part of the United Nations, the Trump Board of Peace, or any of that other ungodly junk, and God won’t let them stay there. When you study the Bible, it gives you the long game, and leads you to the proper conclusions. But when you get your information from the headlines, you’re playing the short game on something that’s already been decided, and you wind up on the side of the antisemites like Tucker Carlson, Chuck Baldwin and all the others. God is preparing to soon place the Jews and Israel into the time of Jacob’s trouble, and not to worry, they will be judged to a degree you cannot even begin to imagine. But when it’s done, and the remnant is brought through the refining fire, Israel will reign supreme over the whole world and the Jews will be exactly where God always intended for them to be. So be smart – study your Bible, play the long game, and get on the winning side.
