Concerns Grow As Kirk Cameron Says Christians Should Support Santa Claus (VIDEO)
Was Santa Claus a Christian? A ‘defender of the faith’? Is this reason to sit on the lap of the bearded man at the mall who “knows if you’ve been naughty or nice”?
That is what Kirk Cameron is claiming as proof why Christians should celebrate Christmas in a new documentary that opens this Friday in theaters across the country—an assertion that is raising concerns over Cameron’s confusion of Roman Catholicism with Christianity.
Cameron, best known for his role as Mike Seaver on the 80’s TV sitcom “Growing Pains” and films such as “Fireproof” and “Left Behind,” has been promoting his new film “Saving Christmas,” in which the actor seeks to “keep Christ in Christmas,” stating that some holiday traditions aren’t so bad or pagan after all.
After recently asserting that Christians should celebrate Halloween, in a video clip released last week entitled “Do You Love Santa Claus,” Cameron stated that “maybe someone like Santa Claus is actually on our team.” He then released a second video providing the history of the figure of Santa Claus, who was actually the Roman Catholic Bishop Nicholas of Myra, Turkey under Pope Sylvester I.
“He was a devout Christian,” Cameron states, but not noting Nicholas’ Roman Catholic faith. “He was left with a large sum of money when his parents died, and be became famous for his kindness toward the poor and his generous giving of gifts to children.”
“He was there at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325, one of the most important events in Church history,” he continues, referring to the first ecumenical conference under Constantine. “The Council of Nicaea ended up producing what is known today as the Nicene Creed, a profession of faith used by churches all around the world. The creed affirmed the deity of Christ and the three persons of the trinity.
Cameron said that the use of Santa Claus, who had developed from the person of St. Nicholas, was therefore not so bad after all.
“So the guy that many of us think is distracting from the birth of the Christ child, is really the defender of the faith you and I want to be,” he asserted. “So now that you know who the real Santa Claus is, you want to take a picture with him at the mall this Christmas? I do.”
“Born again Christians should not be joining Roman Catholics in any spiritual enterprise or activity,” Mike Gendron of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries told Christian News Network. “Paul called us to remain separate from unbelievers who embrace a false gospel. Light and darkness have nothing in common and there is no agreement between the temple of God and idols (2 Cor. 6:14-18).”But some do not agree with Cameron’s assertions, and believe that Christians should stay away from joining with the Roman Catholic Church or honoring its icons.
“I believe Kirk knows that Roman Catholicism is a divisive issue among evangelicals and purposefully avoids it,” he said when asked about why he thinks Cameron might have failed to mention that Nicholas was Catholic. “The fact that the RCC ‘made’ Nicholas a saint should be a red flag to anyone who knows only God can convert sinners to saints by the sovereign work of His Spirit.”

Sadly, many so-called fundamental churches get caught up in Santa Claus parties, the pagan “Easter bunny” routine, “Fall Festivals” or “Costume Parties” to emulate the satanic celebration of Halloween and participate as well in Valentine’s Day celebrations, not knowing or caring that it originated as a fertility rite many centuries ago.
Too many pastors or priests are gutless, undiscerning and cater to groups in their churches rather than follow Gal. 1:10.

It is most unfortunate that Kirk Cameron is protecting and promoting the falsehood of Santa Claus.
There are an ever increasing number of people and ‘christian denominations’ that are ‘falling under the spell’ of the massive ‘spiritual deception, delusion and a falling away from’ “the truth”. There are also great increases in the number of Apostate and Heretical teachings – which is being led by ‘the pope’ and Roman Catholicism of ‘Apostate Ecumenical-Interfaith Christendom’ – including ‘ChriSlam’.
There are also an ever increasing number of “hirelings” – men and women that are ‘wolves in sheeps clothing’, the “false teachers” and the “false prophets” in these ‘end-of-the-end times’ PRIOR to the ‘Rapture’ of “the church” – ONLY THOSE who are truly ‘Biblical CHRISTians’
– followed some time after by “that day”, “the day of the Lord”, “the day of the LORD’S wrath”, “the time of Jacob’s trouble”, the “great tribulation”!
Satan knows that his time is short – and ALL ‘Biblical CHRISTians’ must “put on the whole armor of God” (Eph 6:10-20 + 2 Cor 10:3-5 + James 4:6-10 [KJV])
and be aware of the absolute truth of the warning written in “the word of the LORD” to:

I am a saved Christian. I believe this (and all Bible verses) to be 100% true and accurate.
“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20) No argument here right? Every believer can literally and honestly claim this verse.
Why then do I need the whole armor of God, if:
1 John 5:18… “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.”

If the doctrine in the book of 1 John is written TO me in this “But Now” (Rom 3:21) dispensation of Gods free grace, and I am a “born again” believer, do these words not literally say that I cannot/will not sin and therefore the wicked one cannot/will not touch me? They indeed do! How can that be?

I agree. But you don’t go far enough. I’d say ALL “christian denominations” have fallen under the spell… Anything but pure Biblical Christianity is something other than pure Biblical Christianity. .0000000001% distortion (untruth) is something other than PURE truth, which God is, and is therefore NOT pure truth.
If a belief system is a “denomination” at all, it HAS moved away from what the Bible literally says toward what a man wants the Bible to say to suit his personal beliefs. That is the inherent nature of a denomination. Example; the baptists (which church I exited after learning right division) believe that a saved person needs to be water baptized to “prove” himself truly converted. Some believe that without water a person cannot be saved! They claim verses to support this and ignore or explain away Paul saying that God sent him NOT to baptize (1 Cor 1:17) but to simply preach the gospel he was given (Eph 3:1-7, 6:18-20). So which is it? How can we know for sure? We ALL desire to do the right thing by the God of the Bible, do we not?
An honest and careful study of the words on the pages of the King James Bible taken completely literally as they should be taken, will eventually lead one to conclude that there are parts of the Bible written directly TO us believers today, and parts which simply are not, but remain FOR our learning of how God has dealt (and will someday deal) with fallen humanity throughout time. We could not appreciate what God is doing today without knowing what He did yesterday and will do tomorrow.
While I truly am a saved Christian living in the world today, I am stuck in a body of perpetual sin (no matter how I may wish to not sin: Rom 7), surrounded by unsaved people who love their sin, in a world that is fallen by way of sin. There is no way in the world I can “claim” that verse in 1 John. I do in fact require the whole armor of God to see me through every day and to help me keep my doctrine straight. If I can’t claim that doctrine in 1 John, how then can I know which to claim at all? That is… without picking and choosing what I WANT to believe and therefore beginning my own denomination!
Rightly dividing between prophesy (Israel) and mystery (today’s believers) is stunningly beautiful! And, 100% necessary if we are to understand Gods whole truth.
Who then can claim 1 John 5:18 if it is true? I believe it to be 100% true! There must be people somewhere who can’t sin. Anyone in today’s world? Certainly not. But, in the ages to come, during Daniels 70th week, when anti-christ is revealed and walking the physical world, when the Law is written in believers hearts (there is the key!) the 144,000 will be empowered to keep the Law perfectly! They will not be capable of sin as they are Holy Spirit empowered (as in early Acts) and new covenant gifted (Jer 31:31, Heb 87-13) to walk in Gods perfect Law!
Amazing! All the Bible makes perfect and literal sense! We just need to know who God is speaking to and when. We cannot confuse Gods promises to Israel (earthly people) with His promises to us (heavenly people).
Ask any honest Jew anytime and anywhere if when he dies he is going to heaven. He will say “of course not, that’s silly christian stuff”. “God is going to give us an Israel that will be made absolute perfection and we will rule the world with our Messiah!” He’s 100% correct too if the Bible is to be believed! And it is. No Jew has ever “gone” to heaven as Heaven will come to the Jew (Rev 21). As for us, we will be occupying those places vacated by satan and his fallen angels (Eph 1:1-6). WooHoo!

Your comment about ‘denominations’ has much merit – however I have personally chosen to attend services with – but not join – a denominational congregation whose Pastor is a Biblical sound, KJV believer and Godly under-Shepherd:

It is interesting how you quoted Hebrews 10:24-25. I do assemble myself together with rightly divided King James Bible believers here in the DFW area, though we are few and far between. We have no shepherd because we are not sheep. We do have a very knowledgeable Bible teacher however.
Lets look just a bit further, as that verse in Hebrews continues with:
Hebrews 10:26-27… “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgement and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”
I sinned willfully today. I sin willfully every day. I exist in a sin cursed body. I have also received the knowledge of the truth contained in its context; I know who my Lord is. Am I going to face the judgement and fiery indignation of a Just God since I have sinned yet again? Am I the adversary because I sinned willfully? Or, might the writer of Hebrews (it is not Paul – I’ll explain if you like) be speaking to and or about someone other than me?
Paul, in Romans 6:11, speaking to the brethren (saved Christians like you and me) says… “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” This is in fact our condition today as saved Christians. We have been judicially recognized by God the Father as dead to sin through His Son as His Son paid our penalty on the cross. His cross becomes our cross the instant we believe and trust in His atoning death, burial and subsequent resurrection.
How does one make sense of these seemingly contradictory verses? I put forth that it is right division alone which allows the Bible to make complete and total sense.
Examine the verse 2 Tim 2:15… “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
First of all the verb “study” is here used as a command, as Paul is speaking directly to a believer. There is an understood “you” involved in the sentence. “You study…” Why study? Because God approves of that behavior, it is something He wants us to do. He wants mankind to be on board with exactly what He is doing at any given time. Noah built the Ark. Abraham left his country. Moses gave the law that he was given. Christ went to the cross. Paul dispensed the grace he was told to dispense. Further, it is how we demonstrate to God that we take His Word seriously, not listening to what other men say about Gods Word (as most men are unsaved and lost sinners) but mining the depths of it for ourselves. Study is work. We are to be workmen. It requires time and patience. It is the mechanism by which we become approved by God Himself.
What happens if when we face Him, we are not approved (saved and thus heaven bound but not approved)? There will be shame involved. The last thing I want is for God to be ashamed or for me to feel shame that I did not take His Word as seriously as possible when I face Him. With honest and diligent study, there is no need for shame.
Finally the verse says to rightly divide the word of truth. If we are to divide the word of truth there must be divisions contained within the word of truth. Not only must we divide the divisions contained therein, but we must do it rightly. Most people believe that the only division in the Bible (if any as some even believe the Bible is “Gods love letter” to us…) is between the old and new testament. Honest study demonstrates otherwise as the division between old and new testaments in the printed Bible, that is the page inserted between Malachi and Matthew, is a man made construct (much like the titles of the individual books).
The most critical division in our Bible is that between Israel (prophesy) and the church – the body of Christ (today’s believers, the mystery kept secret, hid in God, since the world began, the knowledge of which was finally dispensed to Paul). Information not contained within Gods prophetic program with Israel and the earth.
When once understood, all the Bible will make complete, total and perfect sense. There are NO contradictions (and no more confusion – thus no more man created denominations) whatsoever.

This word mean simply that we should celebrate around Jesus Christ as a mass of people around Jesus Christ. But instead celebrating about Christ, we celebrate in our pride and greed. How many people give presents to the poor? But instead we celebrate a pagan holiday that supoort our own greed. If one studies scripture’s we know that Jesus Birthday or his birth was not on Christmas of December 25. Roman Emperor Constintina start this date. If you study Hebrew history they never celebrated anyone’s birthday.

It’s a pagan holiday adopted by the Catholics to increase their membership.
I believe it’s Jeremiah 10 that, if you understand it, says you should not have a Christmas tree.
Even in the scriptures it talks about how the Idolaters would place their Idols under the evergreen tree. A tradition Christians (and non) have kept alive to this day.
There are so many anti-Christ facets to Christmas it would take all day to list them all. So with that keep up your Pagan traditions and have a merry Christmas.

Yeshua wasn’t even born on December 25th, Tamuz the son of the sun god was, right in the middle of the winter solstice. We can thank Constantine, his mother and the roman church for the edict that brought this farce about.
I talked to a pastor at the church I use to attend, all he had to say was it’s ok Yahweh judges the heart. I am sure HE does and I really don’t think HE is overjoyed that we decided to move HIS sons birth up a couple of months and celebrate it on a pagan holiday. Shepherds do not stay in the fields mid-December in Jerusalem or Bethlehem, and the history books will tell you when the census was being taken that year.
We seem to be quite gullible to the wiles of the enemy that’s why we celebrate good Friday and easter Sunday. Thanks to rome and their ignorance of Sabbath’s they decided that Yeshua had to be crucified as HIS body had to be removed before sundown as it was a Sabbath. In their ignorance they didn’t know their were other Sabbaths besides Friday. No one else seems to care either. It is impossible for Yeshua to have been in the ground three days three nights, crucified on Friday and rise on Sunday. Passover fell on a Wednesday in the evening, do the research don’t take anyone’s word on such an important matter. Just remember their days started in the evening not the morning another thing we can thank Rome for.

The bible talks about an axeman that cut down a tree and the tree was decorated by pagans and the pagans worshipped it. Mr. Cameron needs to figure out who and/or what he is actually following/worshipping/promoting. The bible speaks specifically about and against such vanity. There was a purpose the wise men brought the herbs and gold for Jesus’ which was given to his parents and it was so that they could take care of their family which included Jesus, obviously, and the expense that went along with surviving as a family ‘unit’. I do not recall a tree ever being cut down and decorated during the time the wise men followed the navigating star nor when or after they delivered the valuable herbs and gold. The Catholics believe their prayers can be interceded by a cold, lifeless, statue but the truth is, only live persons can do that. Halloween is a religion, whether anybody wants to admit it or not. Children used to believe that looking like demons would keep demons away. Children of today believe that if they get dressed up they will receive candy as a reward or prizes if they enter contests. Still, Halloween remains the same today as it did yesterday. A religion taught to children which distracts them away from the protection of God and worshipping Jesus. I wonder what Mr. Cameron will say about the worship of the fertility god, Eoster? STL I have been serving God for many years but sometimes I feel it can get to a point, where the person if they are not careful can become unhealthy. Isolating oneself from friends, family etc. because the Bible says not to eat drink with unbelievers etc.. I have gotten to a point where I don’t want to live anymore. Just being honest. Dennis is someone who reads the words of the Bible. That’s good. They are just misapplied. The Jewish believers required baptism; as the Levite Priests were ritually cleansed, so too were all the believers in Christ at that time, as God created all Israel to be a nation of priests to the entire world (Ex 19:6). While Dennis claims baptism, it is highly unlikely he will claim the rest of the verses. Dennis? If he claims baptism he should claim the rest! However, if we look at what the apostles were able to accomplish throughout the book of Acts we see these very things come to pass, even the handling of deadly snakes (Acts 28:1-6)! These men were Holy Spirit empowered… they were given supernatural powers through the Holy Spirit which we do not have today. This was the beginning construction of the 144,000 who were to “go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” (Mat 28:19-20, Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8). These were the Jewish believers of yesterday.
But something happened to prevent this from occurring. Israel did not receive her Messiah. As a nation, they had nothing to “go forth” with. Only a very few believed that Christ was their prophesied Messiah. What did God do about this? As without Israel, the world would not come to know God. That was their very function!
God temporarily halted His prophetic program with Israel and called a new apostle, the very leader of the Jewish rebellion against Christ. Saul, who became the single apostle to the rest of the world, Paul.

The church – the body of Christ, of which saved people today are members, began with the salvation of Paul in Acts 9. It did NOT begin with the twelve in Jerusalem. The Jerusalem church was the Temple Beautiful (Acts 3:1-3). Keyword, temple… which is used 4 times in 3 verses so the reader can’t miss it.
What does Paul, the apostle to you and I, the Gentiles, tell us about baptism today? 1 Cor 1:17… “For Christ sent me NOT to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”
As Gentile believers with a heavenly home (Col 3:1-3… we are NOT Kingdom saints, as we are NOT promised Gods Kingdom come to earth – we are NOT Israel) baptism is of none effect for us even though many church denominations say otherwise. We must read the words on the pages, take them literally and believe them to be true. It is then and only then that we will fully comprehend the manifold wisdom of God throughout history.

Well, actually, people (mostly non-jews) do heal, cast out demons, drink deadly things, and pick up snakes today, both for Jesus and for the devil (depending on person), and they are either called “anointed” or called out for “witchcraft”, etc, by the church and others. Check out jglm.org, a leading divine healing ministry today.
I’ve done the first three. In Mark 16, it also talks about raising the dead. David Hogan and team (Freedom Ministries, Mexico) do all these signs daily. As you believe, so shall you receive.
All power is in the name of Jesus, and I believe in baptism in water, and in the Holy Spirit (for power).
Ken, I’m sorry but you are deceived. Those gifts ended 2,000 years ago. There is no divine healing taking place today which is of God. Certainly they will reappear in the ages to come. Be very careful as satan himself is transformed into an angel of light and his ministers the ministers of “righteousness” (2 Cor 11:14-15). If you are doing anything supernatural it is not of God. Stop it and study Paul’s epistles.

And I have read all sorts of other things that supposed “godly christians” have done. That does not mean that they have done them or that I am supposed to believe them. I believe the Bible Bro Nick… nothing more and nothing less. Define “the truth” of “the word of God”… there is a ton of truth in the word of God. Some to us and all for us. What is the difference between the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began (Romans 16:25 – God kept a secret since the world began? Yes!) and the gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus told the twelve to preach (Mat 4:23, 24:14); because that gospel did not contain His death, burial and resurrection as does the gospel of my salvation in 1 Cor 15.

This is what satan does today. he preaches another jesus, by another spirit through another gospel. And people LOVE this jesus because he is their warm fuzzy friend who loves them just the way they are and gives them what they want.
Gal 1:6-9… “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
You need to understand clearly “which Jesus” you are preaching Brother. If you are preaching today the earthly Jesus of prophesy to Israel (which nearly all churches do) you are preaching the WRONG ONE. Paul preached the risen and glorified Lord Jesus and the message of free grace given to him by the same. The Law which Jesus taught the twelve to follow is NOT in effect today.
Romans 3:21… “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;”
Prophesy itself is temporarily ended. The signs and wonders which accompanied prophesy have ended. God is no longer dealing with the nation Israel or any other nations for that matter. If God is not dealing with a people who require signs and wonders, then there are no need of signs and wonders. Prophesy stopped at the 69’th week and has yet to continue. It will commence once again at the rapture or likely shortly thereafter.
We walk by faith. Jews needed a sign.
That which is perfect has come. The completed canon of Holy Scripture is here. It was not complete back when Paul was in the process of writing it. Those folks did not have the ability to understand God the way we can. We have the unique ability to consider and comprehend Gods fully revealed message to mankind. It is in 2 rough parts… 1) What God is doing on Earth and, 2) What God is doing in Heaven. Jesus had a specific message to those who will “judge” the earth (the Jews) and He has a specific message for those who will “judge” the heavens (you and me – 1 Cor 6:3). The message to the Jews was delivered to the twelve. His message to us was delivered to Paul. If you are listening to the twelve for the doctrine you are to follow today, you are listening to the wrong Jesus.

Yes I have considered why miracles do not take place in Amerika or anywhere today. The Bile says they have ended as God is no longer dealing with the nation Israel. Read the book of Acts. It is not the story of the beginning of the church today as most believe, it is the story of the fall of Israel. It is NOT because Amerika is luke-warm. Amerika is unrecognized by God as God today only recognizes individual people and not nations.
Gal 3:28… “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
What does this verse literally say? It says, there are NO Jews, there are NO “other-than” Jews (Gentiles, no nations, no religions), there are not free or un-free people, there are not even males or females… there are only individual souls. This is what God is doing today. Prophesy is unnecessary as prophesy has to do with nations.
Once today’s church is translated out of here, prophesy will once again begin where it left off. What did Stephen see as he was being stoned? He saw Jesus STANDING… meaning, about to return in wrath and judgement on a thoroughly corrupted world. But Jesus didn’t return. Instead, He saved a very UNREPENTANT Saul and proclaimed he gospel of free grace and peace to that same fallen world. He is giving us one last 2,000 plus year opportunity to get “right” with Him absolutely freely… no works allowed.

Ask them. I try to take Him out of the varied boxes formed for Him and show only and exactly what the Bible actually says… not just what people commonly believe it says, or what they claim it says through wrong division, or NOT understanding the difference between Israel and believers today. There is a shocking difference.
God made earthly promises to Israel, NOT to us. He has made heavenly promises to us. Let Israel have what God promised them and look and see all of the glorious things God has promised us in Paul’s epistles. They are FAR better!
I wish you would seriously consider my position. I ask for 7 hours of your time. 7 hours that will expand your Biblical understanding in ways you cannot expect. You will no longer have to rely on your own (or anyone else’s) personal understanding of Biblical things as the Bible simply says what it says, when, where and to whom it says it. Right division is the key to fully comprehending the Bible. Take the time… you’ll be so glad you did!

Sorry, I have been thinking of how to reply, but as I am holding myself to a much higher standard of proof, and have a constraint of time, I have been unable present it with enough proof to satisfy my standards.

There have been many people, groups, organisations, and denominations that have taken the same set of Scriptures, and they have all “proved” radically different doctrines with the same amount of “evidence” as each other, attracting multitudes call their things true and to follow them.
I am trying to obtain a better standard, one that is so conclusive and so strong that it can’t be so called “legally” disproved by other Bible quoters, “legally” basically meaning here: same amount of Scripture can be used to disprove it. This seems to require a lot of Scriptures. There would be dependancies on the definitions of terms and words used in the Scriptures I quote, that must themselves be proved by their own lists of Scriptures, then the terms and words in those must be defined, and the cycle starts all over again. It seems to be near impossible or needing a thorough review of all the Bible, and the topics therein.
I don’t believe in obtaining or proving my definitions by using a Strongs concordance or using any other common Bible dictionary or aid of some kind, because using those plus “original manuscripts” is how the modern Catholic “Bibles” and other new “Bibles” came about, that all differ highly in content from each other and from the usual “standard”, the King James Version. This issue will come up twice more in this comment.
I will interject here that there are supposed to be Scripture(s) that say that everyone one to his own beliefs, and if he violates his own beliefs, then that’s sin to him, and we must not be a stumbling-block in deeds to the weaker in faith, etc (in the particular passage I’m thinking of (Romans 14:1-15:4 AKJV)).
Isn’t the reason we try to push and prove our beliefs to stop others from sinning (and getting into Hell because of that in my beliefs) or leading others into sin (or in the case of nefarious people, solely to get you to pay them money, or get you sinning)? I think, it is a moot question of how far we are to go to change others, but I don’t think it’s bad to prove our own scriptural position (though perhaps not our points).
If I was to prove my beliefs (I believe they are true, that’s what the word “believe” is supposed to mean!) with the same amount of Scripture you provided, you or anyone else would be able to “disprove” me with exactly the same amount and standard of Scripture, because many other supporting scriptures are not included. If you take the these supporting Scriptures into account, you need to prove how you know what those are is talking about, and maybe you need to prove how you came up with those surrounding definitions in the context of another person’s beliefs. That means you have to prove the meanings of entire passages and books of the Bible, and then entire sections of the Bible or the Bible itself, to prove what you said about the passages’ meaning. How can you prove “The Bible”, or the version you use itself for that matter, is agreeing with what you say it says, when you use a congleramate of different Bible versions to prove your beliefs, or there are so many other versions of the Bible saying different things from your chosen version? If you chose to prove that your chosen interpretation of the Scriptures is true by learning and practicing the languages of the generally accepted “original manuscripts”, how can prove your conclusions when so many others manuscript scholars have all different interpretations of your chosen source which is a foreign language to your audience anyway?
That’s why most people chose to repeat endless trail of isolated Scripture passages in that usually make next to no difference on the opposing belief without the convicting help of the Holy Spirit. Another alternative often used is to go lower, and start distorting Scriptures, using mind control for malicious means, endless name calling exchanges, or whatever isn’t Christlike. Yet another is to discuss your beliefs without any supporting Scriptures because you can’t easily find any (meaning your doctrine could be incorrect, (knowing that I am doing it myself with today’s comment!)).
Therefore, to go the next step, many people point you to one, some, or “somewhat complete” (the entire Bible) teachings produced by some persons, organisations, or denominations to prove their beliefs to you. I see you have already done so twice in this thread. I would refer people to my preferred ministry or certain teachings also if I had a lack of time, as I will here. But that involves a lot of time, checking out the new Statement of Faith, adjusting to the new terminology and methods, reading (let alone proving the proposed interpretations!) the Scriptures referenced.
What I know is that I didn’t think I had enough time to produce a statement to prove my position, and I wonder I have enough to refute your statement to me. However, I think I can do this, I can point you to the teaching that includes my position (though I don’t really agree with everything, like relying on the currently accepted physical “original manuscripts”, and how long a prayed for person should stay healed on another’s faith being the biggest things for me). I once saw him in a knee-to-knee conversation with an associate on TV. I don't remember the conversation, but I do remember hearing Cameron say all a person needs to do is recite the "Sinner's Prayer" and he'll be saved. I won't waste my time, but you may, by searching the Bible for anything called the Sinner's Prayer. You won't find it. But you will find instructions on how to save your soul. Unfortunately you won't find the complete list of instructions in one place in the New Testament. You'll have to search for them and take notes. But essentially they are: 1) believe God's Word, 2) have faith in God, 3) repent your sins, 4) confess that Jesus is the Messiah and is the living Son of God, and 5) be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins.

Cameron, like Billy Graham, leads a sinner up to the door, but abandons him there. Is there a special punishment for teachers who do that? Who gets a person to believing that he's a Christian and is saved without taking him all the way along the path to salvation? I think there is, but I don't remember where it can be found in the New Testament.
Dennis, you add so much burden to a fallen and lost person who wouldn’t know what repentance was if you hit them over the head with it… The saving gospel for today is so much more simple. As Paul says in 2 Cor 11:3… “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
The gospel of today is found in:

It is simply trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. PLUS NOTHING.
Romans 4:25… “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”
Ephesians 2:8-9… “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
If you can boast in it, it is not of God in today’s dispensation of free grace.

As I stated, Jesus never said he was God. If he did, please quote where he actually said it. Again, there is only one God for ALL people regardless of faith. God created the Universe and people evolved from his work.
I'm sure after the Council of Nicaea, long before our language evolved, some texts were changed. To know what was truly written one must go back to the very original documents and then translate them into Modern English. Otherwise, all that is written is subjective and open to debate.
