But, rather than rebel against learning an idiom that has little practical use, the 80 youngsters aged five to ten are embracing learning phrases such as ‘ah chop’ – or ‘how are you?’ Many Muslim children are even happy to learn it because, according to the school’s head teacher, it is part of the Arab community’s ‘collective heritage’.

Carla Hadad, 10, who frequently waved her arms to answer questions in Aramaic from school teacher Mona Issa during a recent lesson, said: ‘We want to speak the language that Jesus spoke.’

‘We used to speak it a long time ago,’ she added, referring to her ancestors.

During the lesson, a dozen children lisped out a Christian prayer in Aramaic. They learned the words for ‘elephant,’ and ‘mountain.’ Some children carefully drew sharp-angled Aramaic letters. Others fiddled with their pencil cases, which sported images of popular soccer teams.

The children are helped in their studies by an Aramaic-speaking television channel from Sweden, of all places, where a vibrant immigrant community has kept the ancient tongue alive.

The only other filmed production to use the language is Mel Gibson’s biopic The Passion of The Christ. The language is also being taught in the Palestinian-administered West Bank at a special school for Syrian Orthodox Christians. In the village of Beit Jala, near Jesus’ birthplace in Bethlehem, priests have taught the language to their 320 students for the past five years.

Some 360 families in the area descend from Aramaic-speaking refugees who in the 1920s fled the Tur Abdin region of what is now Turkey. Priest Butros Nimeh said elders still speak the language but that it vanished among younger generations. He said they hoped teaching the language would help the children appreciate their roots. Although both the Syrian Orthodox and Maronite church worship in Aramaic, they are distinctly different sects.

The Maronites are the dominant Christian church in neighboring Lebanon but make up only a few thousand of the Holy Land’s 210,000 Christians. Likewise, Syrian Orthodox Christians number no more than 2,000 in the Holy Land, said Nimeh. Overall, some 150,000 Christians live in Israel and another 60,000 live in the West Bank.

They are helped by Swedish Aramaic-speaking communities who descended from the Middle East have sought to keep their language alive.

They publish a newspaper, ‘Bahro Suryoyo,’ pamphlets and children’s books, including ‘The Little Prince,’ and maintain a satellite television station, ‘Soryoyosat,’ said Arzu Alan, chairwoman of the Syriac Aramaic Federation of Sweden.

There’s also an Aramaic soccer team, ‘Syrianska FC’ in the Swedish top division from the town of Sodertalje. Officials estimate the Aramaic-speaking population at anywhere from 30,000 to 80,000 people.

For many Maronites and Syrian Orthodox Christians in the Holy Land, the television station, in particular, was the first time they heard the language outside church in decades. Hearing it in a modern context inspired them to try revive the language among their communities.

‘When you hear (the language), you can speak it,’ said Issa, the teacher.

Aramaic dialects were the region’s vernacular from 2,500 years ago until the sixth century, when Arabic, the language of conquering Muslims from the Arabian Peninsula, became dominant, according to Fassberg.

Linguistic islands survived: Maronites clung to Aramaic liturgy and so did the Syrian Orthodox church. Kurdish Jews on the river island of Zakho spoke an Aramaic dialect called ‘Targum’ until fleeing to Israel in the 1950s. Three Christian villages in Syria still speak an Aramaic dialect, Fassberg said.

With few opportunities to practice the ancient tongue, teachers in Jish have tempered expectations. They hope they can at least revive an understanding of the language.

The steep challenges are seen in the Jish school, where the fourth-grade Aramaic class has just a dozen students. The number used to be twice that until they introduced an art class during the same time slot – and lost half their students. source – Daily Mail UK

The Bible is quite clear, in the last days after the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church, Antichrist will come on the scene and he will be a very religious entity. So much so that the people in that dispensation will be having a 7-year revival of Old Testament idolatry. Not content to wait, they are getting the party started a little early. That’s the memo.

Down in Texas, a 90-foot idol is up in Sugar Land, a 25-foot idol is up in Hockessin, Delaware, with plans to install a massive 151-foot idol in Moncure, North Carolina. Kinda makes you think that someone has a plan to make idolatry great again here in America, doesn’t it?

A Sammy Hagar song from 1977 called ‘A Crack In The World’ seems to be a good fit for the end times mood here in 2025

We live in a world that has largely tuned out the God of Heaven, and taken His Book and thrown it on the trash heap. But oh, what manner of things He has hid in that Book if we would but read it, and believe it! In the Bible, we read about a God who likes to do small things, strange work and bring mysteries to come to pass. He has hidden the Truth in plain sight. That’s a little of what went through my mind as I read an email from NTEB’er James who wanted to bring an ancient song by Sammy Hagar to our attention. It’s called ‘A Crack In The World’, and before you just dismiss it, let’s open up our King James Bibles and see what the LORD would have to show us.

“Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.” Psalm 96:13 (KJB)

The Bible says “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;” When He came to the Earth, He came as a baby in a manger and not as the all-powerful King of Kings. God almighty in plain sight, but without the Scripture, you’d have no idea what you were looking at. Israel on May 14th is mere ‘Zionist aggression’ if you don’t have a Bible, it’s a fulfillment of prophecy if you do. Take a look at these lyrics written in 1977, by an unbeliever.

How odd that these lyrics seem to echo so much of everything we have all experienced since 2020, that this world is literally being pulled apart by the tech overlords who are intent on building the platform on which Antichrist will rule for 7 short years. Interestingly, the song doesn’t appear to be referring to nuclear war or military conflict, but rather to an unseen spiritual force that will create a ‘great divide’ between the ones who will be leaving, and the ones who will be staying. The timing as well is quite curious as it places it 48 years into the future of 2025, the time in which we now find ourselves.

Mandatory vaccine ID in 2021

You and I who are alive and remain have thus far witnessed a ‘crack in the world’, one that continues to grow and deepen with each passing day. The world will crack again when Palestine is recognized, and crack again when we who believe are removed in the Rapture. Somebody send Sammy Hagar a Bible, he’s gonna need it.

Los Angeles descended into chaos Wednesday night as belligerent baseball fans set a bus on fire while others clashed with cops and looters ran amuck following the Dodgers’ World Series victory. This is Kamala’s America.

Last night the LA Dodgers won the World Series, and it should have been cause for good, old-fashioned celebration and cheering amongst their fans, but it wasn’t. Instead, hundreds of angry and violent rioters spread out on the downtown streets of Los Angeles, breaking into stores, looting, rioting, and then setting an MTA passenger bus on fire. The police stood by and watched as it all unfolded, with none attempting to stop the thefts from taking place. This is Kamala Harris’ America, and it is a scary and dangerous place. If she is elected, this is what she will bring with her.

The America you grew up in is gone, and it’s not coming back. In its place is a bleak and ruinous landscape whose streets are filled with violence, and whose people are waiting for Antichrist. In 2020, when Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA wreaked havoc across our country, murdering dozens and causing $2 billion in damage, Kamala Harris said that those riots were good, were necessary, and that Americans had no right to expect them to stop. In Los Angeles last night, we were given another reminder of what’s coming. If you live in the cities, it’s time to move.

LA erupts into chaos following Dodgers’ World Series victory with looters raiding Nike store, ‘hostile’ mob burning down bus

FROM THE NY POST: The Los Angeles Police Department shared footage of a mob of looters running in and out of a boarded-up Nike store carrying merchandise and throwing it into cars parked outside the store about four miles from Dodger Stadium just after 11 p.m.

The LAPD said they are “aware of the looting” and have made arrests but did not disclose how many suspects were taken into custody. The department also shared that “several businesses” were looted, and multiple properties were “vandalized” during the “violent celebrations” across the city.

Aerial footage from ABC 7 Los Angeles shows dozens of looters calmly walking into and leaving a Nike store with boxes of goods without police interference. As looters ransacked businesses, other areas of downtown Los Angeles were plunged into madness.

The LAPD said a “hostile crowd” — estimated to be between 200 and 300 people — lit an MTA bus on fire about a mile away from Dodger Stadium around 12:35 a.m. local time. Footage posted to Citizen captured the moment a massive crowd — the majority of which were wearing Dodgers jerseys and apparel — surrounded and sat atop the graffiti-laced bus.

Members of the crowd were caught on video entering the bus, while others were seen holding up Dodgers flags and taking pictures. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene at about 12:45 a.m. local time, monitored the bus fire, and protected nearby structures from potential spread.

A video posted by @FilmThePoliceLA shows fireworks being set off inside the bus as the crowd shouts in excitement. Another showed the bus fully engulfed in flames and spewing out thick black smoke while police in riot gear set up a parameter to keep back the crowd.

“Let’s go Dodgers!” the crowd shouted over the sounds of helicopters and police sirens.

The bus then appeared to explode and shot flames up into the air. Firefighters were seen extinguishing the charred remains of the bus, the frame of which was the only part of the transport vehicle that appeared to remain intact. The Los Angeles Fire Department said it remains “in a normal operating mode, handling routine emergencies citywide” and has directed the public to the LAPD for information regarding all the “unlawful gatherings.”

The LAPD also reported that officers trying to disperse the rowdy crowd were being pelted with “rocks,” “bottles,” and “fireworks” from a malicious crowd around where the looting was taking place.

“Extra resources are responding to that area to assist. If you are on the street, at or adjacent to that intersection, leave the area immediately & follow officers orders,” police said. “If you are in the area, please use caution.”

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass warned citizens that “violence will not be tolerated” as the city celebrates the Dodgers besting the Yankees during game 5 in New York, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles. READ MORE
