Conservative Catholics are calling this a “betrayal of Catholic values” and traditional teachings

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” Romans 1:26,27

You’ve all heard the story of the frog in boiling water. If you drop a frog into boiling water, it immediately jumps out. However, if you put a frog in a pot of room-temperature water, and then bring the water to a boil very, very slowly, the frog will stay in the water until it dies. Timing is everything.

Like a fox carefully waiting for exactly the right moment, Pope Francis has begun to take the steps necessary to incorporate a full acceptance of homosexuality into the Catholic church. After all, if you are planning on building the One World Church, you need a wide base.

First comes “tolerance”, followed closely by “acceptance”. Then comes domination and the driving out of all dissenting thought and opinion. This is exactly the pattern Barack Obama has used to propel the LGBT to a position of prominence in America. Isn’t it amazing how less than 8% of the world’s population can drive policy and change laws? Such is life in the last days…

VATICAN CITY – In a dramatic shift in tone, a Vatican document said on Monday that homosexuals had “gifts and qualities to offer” and asked if Catholicism could accept gays and recognize positive aspects of same-sex couples.

The document, prepared after a week of discussions at an assembly of 200 bishops on the family, said the Church should challenge itself to find “a fraternal space” for homosexuals without compromising Catholic doctrine on family and matrimony.

“Homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer the Christian community: are we capable of welcoming these people, guaranteeing to them a further space in our communities? Often they wish to encounter a Church that offers them a welcoming home,” said the document, known by its Latin name “relatio”.

“Are our communities capable of proving that, accepting and valuing their sexual orientation, without compromising Catholic doctrine on the family and matrimony?” it asked.

New Ways Ministry, a leading U.S. Catholic gay rights group, called it a “major step forward”, praising it for being devoid of the “major gloom and doom and apocalyptic horror” that accompanied past Vatican pronouncements on homosexuals.
