Prosperity Heretic Joel Osteen Mocks People Without Wealth, Calling Them ‘Poor, Broke And Defeated’ As He Brags About His ‘Overflow’ Abundant Life

Joel Osteen says that being poor, broke and defeated doesn’t bring any glory to God, who he says wants you to be wealthy and blessed, with an overflow.

Joel Osteen sermon Poor, Broke and Defeated

No, when you’re poor, broke, and defeated, all that proves is that you’re poor, broke, and defeated. It doesn’t bring any honor to God.

When I first received this video today, multiple times actually from eagle-eyed NTEBers, I was skeptical at first because in the version I was watching it was pretty small, and the audio didn’t match the video. But as I listened to what sounded like Joel Osteen’s voice, I started out annoyed, quickly grew mad and then became enraged at what I was hearing. I thought to myself that this had to be a DeepFake or something, because Joel was not only bragging about his wealth, but was mocking poor people! There is no way this could be true, I thought, not even a heretic like Joel Osteen could sink that low. But guess what? I was wrong.

“But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” 1 Timothy 6:9-11 (KJV)

After a short but diligent search, I found a crystal-clear copy of the sermon that I have entitled ‘Poor, Broke and Defeated’, and present it to you here today so you can hear it for yourself. But be warned, if you like Joel Osteen and have any type of a heart or compassion, you won’t like him after listening to the sermon. And if you didn’t like Joel Osteen prior to hearing this sermon, you’re going to hate him with a passion after hearing this sermon. It’s that bad.

A few quotes from ‘Poor, Broke and Defeated’:

  • “Well,” you say, “Joel, are you one of those prosperity ministers”? No, I don’t like that term. That sounds like somebody that only talks about finances. Prosperity to me is having your health. It’s having peace in your mind. It’s being able to sleep at night, having good relationships. There are many things that money cannot buy, and while I don’t like the term “Prosperity minister,” I must say I am not a poverty minister.” Joel Osteen lying about being a prosperity preacher.
  • “But you’ve got to fight a religious spirit that says you’re supposed to be poor, broke, and defeated to show God that you’re really humble. No, when you’re poor, broke, and defeated, all that proves is that you’re poor, broke, and defeated. It doesn’t bring any honor to God. If I brought my two children up on the platform today and their clothes were all raggedy, worn out, holes in their shoes, hair not combed, you would look at me and think, “What kind of father is he”? It’d be a poor reflection on me. Listen, when you look good, dress good, live in a nice place, excel in your career, generous with others, that brings a smile to God’s face. It brings him pleasure to prosper you.” Joel Osteen mocking poor people.
  • “Let me ask you, do you have a fatted calf mentality, or do you have a skinny goat mentality? Do you think beans and rice are good enough, or do you say, “No, I want some enchiladas. I want some fajitas. I want some sopapillas”? Listen, you can live off of bread and water. You can survive in the land of barely enough. We can endure the land of just enough, just enough to make it through, just enough to pay my bills this week. But that is not God’s best. Your Heavenly Father, the one that breathed life into you, is saying, “I’ve got a fatted calf for you. I’ve got a place for you in the land of more than enough”. Joel Osten preaching that more is never enough.

Joel says repeatedly that we should not be satisfied with having “enough” but rather that we should always be striving for an “overflowing abundance”. In fact, he goes so far as to mock the people that are content with little, calling them “skinny goats”. Wow. But they Bible preaches a completely different message than that, see for yourself:

“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” 1 Timothy 6:6-8 (KJV)

Here is a 3-minute clip from this incredibly heretical sermon where he bends and twists scripture to such a degree that the listener is left with nothing but a theological pretzel by the end of it. If you really want to make yourself mad, listen to the whole sermon in its entirety by clicking here.

Joel Osteen Preaching On Poor, Broke and Defeated

The Apostle Paul Was Backslidden According To Joel Osteen

Now in contrast, let’s take a look at the main writer of the New Testament and arguably the greatest Christian who ever walked the face of the earth, the apostle Paul. Listen as Paul talks about what it was like to be handpicked by Jesus Himself to be an apostle:

“For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men. We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.” 1 Corinthians 4:9-14 (KJV)

Match those verses up against the relentless prosperity preaching of Joel Osteen, and then you tell me who is telling the truth and who is lying to you. Joel Osteen says over, and over and over again that “God wants you to be rich” and in the context Joel is absolutely talking about material possessions and earthly wealth. So if this is God’s plan for all Christians, looks like Paul and the other apostles got the short end of the stick, doesn’t it? All the apostles were poor, all of them were broke, and from Rome’s point of view, absolutely defeated. And that’s because the “riches” that the Bible talks about are spiritual riches, and not numbers on the balance sheet. Joel Osteen seems unable to differentiate between the two.

How about these verses where the people of Philippi have sent a gift to Paul, and we can assume it was food, clothing and/or money, and Paul tells them thanks, but guess what? He goes on to tell them that he would have been just fine without it! This is a concept unknown at Lakewood Church in particular, and in the Prosperity Movement in general.

“But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:10-13 (KJV)

There is nothing wrong with God blessing His children with earthly wealth if it is used for His glory. DL Moody and Charles Spurgeon raised millions in their day, but did the right thing with it. DL Moody, when asked on his deathbed, about the inheritance he was leaving for his children, he said he was leaving them nothing, and that they would have to learn to trust God as he had had to do. In a church world of Joel Osteens be a DL Moody.

Joel Osteen In His Own Words

If you were looking for a video that proves Joel Osteen is a false teacher and a Bible heretic, in his own words, this is it.

Does Joel Osteen Like Being Rich?

Joel Osteen On His Refusal To Preach On Hell

The number one reason why anyone should ever want to be saved can be summed up in one word – Hell. Because of Hell, Jesus went to the cross and made a payment to set you free if you would only take it. Because of Hell, God commands believers to take the message of salvation to a lost and dying world. What sends you to Hell? Unpaid sin in your life. But Joel Osteen refuses to tell people about Hell because he wants them to be “uplifted” and “feel positive”.

Stunning News Out Of The Middle East As Lebanon And Syria Will Likely Join The Abraham Accords With Israel Around The Same Time As Saudi Arabia

Published

on

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

Israeli ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter said that he believes that Syria and Lebanon could join the Abraham Accords and normalize relations with Israel before Saudi Arabia

Wow, OK, this thing is unfolding almost exactly the way we’ve been telling you it would, with all this Middle East intrigue really being about moving the chains on the Abraham Accords on the end times timeline. Regular listeners of our Bible Studies and Podcasts know that we believe the Abraham Accords is the covenant that Antichrist confirms in the book of Daniel.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” Daniel 9:27 (KJB)

Revelation 13 shows you that the Mark of the Beast is, at its simplest level, a human-implantable device that allows the user to buy and selling via financial transactions. Well, what are the Abraham Accords but a contract, or covenant, allowing the signatories to conduct economic and financial transactions? Naturally, because this is the end times, the Abraham Accords center around Israel and Jerusalem with their arch-enemies the Muslims who, for the time being, are playing nice. But you go read Psalm 83, and see the Muslim confederacy against the Jews in the time of Jacob’s trouble, and when it happens, the Abraham Accords will be front and center in the middle of the action.

Syria, Lebanon could join Abraham Accords before Saudi Arabia, Israeli ambassador to US says

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: “There’s no reason now why we wouldn’t be moving into accommodation with Syria and Lebanon,” he said. “We have dramatically changed the paradigm there. I’m very upbeat about the potential for an Abraham Accord with Syria and Lebanon, and that may actually precede Saudi Arabia.”

Speaking to the platform’s CEO, Marissa Streit, Leiter added that Saudi Arabia was considering joining the accords “because, in 2019, they weren’t very far away. If President Trump had remained in office in 2020, we probably would’ve reached that point – a complete normalization with Saudi Arabia.”

Leiter added that now, Israel and Saudi Arabia are still on the path to normalization, although there are still complications to normalization due to the Israel-Hamas War.

Regarding Lebanon’s possibility of normalizing relations, the ambassador said, “Lebanon has the opportunity to ‘emerge from its failed state status and reassert itself as a civil society.” Regarding Syria, Leiter said that the US should have been more hesitant in removing sanctions from the country, stating that the US should wait to see what actions Syria takes, mentioning the importance of protecting minorities such as the Druze and Alawites in the country.

“There’s not a long history of jihadis becoming Jeffersonians,” he said. “We also can’t allow jihadis to be on our border; we learned that from October 7. We’d like to see [the new leader of Syria Ahmed] al-Sharaa move in a direction where he’s disbanding the jihadi groups, outlawing terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah, and protecting minorities, adding that the removal of sanctions must be “performance-based.”

Leiter also describes Israel’s ceasefire with Lebanon as “performance-based.”

“To the degree that Lebanon disarms Hezbollah, to that degree, we’re moving towards accommodation and peace,” he added. “We removed our troops. We have five installations on the border; we’ll remove them too.” READ MORE

Donald Trump Explodes And Loses Control As Ceasefire Falters After Iran Fires Rocket That Kill Four Jews In Beersheba And Israel Vows To Repay

Published

on

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

President Donald Trump issued a blunt warning to Israel on Tuesday to “not bomb Iran” as he departed for the NATO summit in The Hague, taking a critical position just 24 hours after brokering a fragile ceasefire already threatened after a missile strike from Iran.

President Donald Trump went full-tilt explosive after hearing that Iran had broken the ceasefire with an attack on Israel that wound up killing 4 in Beersheba, ordering Israel not to respond. He dropped an expletive deleted as he exclaimed that both sides, Israel and Iran, had no idea what they were doing. Those are words spoken by a man who has very little understanding of why Israel and Iran are at war with each other, and have been since 1979. That’s the memo.

“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.” Zechariah 14:16 (KJB)

Donald Trump is not so much about peace in the Middle East as he is about scoring notches on the legacy belt of his presidency. But making peace is a tricky thing if you don’t understand the nature of the conflict. “Israel has to calm down, I have to get Israel to calm down,” he said. “I’m gonna see if I can stop it.” Why didn’t he say that about Iran, why is it always Israel that has to ‘calm down’? As we have long told you, Iran will break any and every treaty or deal they make, that’s who they are. Israel needs to fight this war until the regime in place in Tehran falls to the ground. Anything less is a pathetic waste of time, treasure and human lives. The prophet Daniel says “and unto the end of the war desolations are determined”, I agree with that.

Trump Goes Absolutely Berserk on Iran and Israel as Ceasefire Deal Crumbles

FROM MEDIAITE: Speaking to reporters before takeoff, the president said that both Israel and Iran had breached the terms of the truce and made clear he was “not pleased” with Israel’s promise to launch retaliatory airstrikes after agreeing to the deal.

Asked by a reporter about whether Iran had violated the ceasefire Trump replied: “They violated but Israel violated it, too.”

The president continued: “Israel as soon as we made the deal they came out and they dropped a load of bombs the likes of which I had never seen before. The biggest load that we have seen. I’m not happy with Israel.”

He added: “You know, when I say ‘okay, now you have 12 hours’ – you don’t go out in the first hour just drop everything you have on them. So I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran either. But I’m really unhappy if Israel is going out this morning because the one rocket that didn’t land, that was shot, perhaps by mistake, that didn’t land, I’m not happy about that.”

Before departing, he said: “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard, that they don’t know what the f*** they are doing.”

In a further post on Truth Social just moments later he wrote:

ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

The comments come as the Israeli military vowed to carry out “intense” retaliatory strikes on Tehran following ballistic missile attacks from Iran that struck Beersheba on Tuesday morning, killing at least four civilians. In response, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered a “forceful” counteroffensive, targeting what he described as “the heart of Tehran.”

Trump says Iranian missile didn’t land, but it did and it killed Jews

Israel’s top military officials framed the action as a response to a “grave violation” of the US-brokered ceasefire and vowed Iran would “pay.”

Tehran denied any role in the attacks. Iranian state media claimed that “reports published about missile launches from Iran toward the occupied territories after imposing a ceasefire on the Zionist regime are denied,” accusing Israel of fabricating the provocation. The ceasefire agreement – announced late Monday by Trump from Palm Beach – was meant to phase out hostilities within 24 hours. READ MORE

As Iran Fires Missiles On US Airbases In Qatar And Iraq, Russia Warns That ‘World War 3 Could Be Very Close’ After Threat From Trump On Truth Social

Published

on

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that ‘World War III could be very close’ following the US attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, missiles fall on US bases in Qatar and Iraq

Trump two days after the US carried out strikes on Iranian nuclear sites aired a statement from Russia, and a warning to the country. ‘Did I hear Former President Medvedev, from Russia, casually throwing around the “N word” (Nuclear!), and saying that he and other Countries would supply Nuclear Warheads to Iran?’ wrote Trump on his Truth Social platform on Monday morning. ‘Did he really say that or, is it just a figment of my imagination? If he did say that, and, if confirmed, please let me know, IMMEDIATELY.’ That’s the memo.

“Curse not the king, no not in thy thought; and curse not the rich in thy bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter.” Ecclesiastes 10:20 (KJB)

Iran on Monday night fired 10 ballistic missiles at the US Central Command (CENTCOM)’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and one ballistic missile at an American base in Iraq in retaliation for Washington’s attack on three Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday morning, multiple sources told The Jerusalem Post. Donald Trump in his address on Saturday said that the US strike on Iranian bases was meant to end a war, not start one. He may just have started one anyway. Donald Trump confidentially campaigned for president on his ability to end the war in Ukraine from Day 1, end the war in Gaza, and prevent a war in the Middle East. But as his presidency unfolds, he is doing just the opposite of what he promised.

Lavrov warns of possible World War III after US attack on Iran

FROM AURORA NEWS: “There is a huge potential for conflict right under our noses, in Ukraine and the Middle East,” Putin had stated days earlier during the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. Lavrov echoed that warning by questioning the legitimacy of certain countries exercising their right to self-defense, disregarding the UN Charter. According to the diplomat, this attitude is pushing the world toward “total chaos.”

Tensions rose sharply following the precision strikes launched by the United States last Saturday, which hit the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities. Washington confirmed that the operation was ordered by President Donald Trump and that its objective was to neutralize the Iranian regime’s strategic capabilities.

Reactions from Moscow were immediate. The Russian Foreign Ministry called the attacks “irresponsible” and in violation of international law, emphasizing that they were carried out by a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

In line with Lavrov, former Russian president and current Vice President of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, stated that most countries around the world reject this military action. According to him, the damage to Iranian infrastructure was minimal, and the offensive could have accelerated a more favorable international response to Tehran, including the possible transfer of nuclear weapons.

The crisis erupted on June 13, when Israel bombed targets in Iran and declared a state of emergency. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained that the operation sought to dismantle the Iranian regime’s nuclear capabilities. The Islamic Republic responded with missile strikes, triggering a rapid regional escalation.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is now heading to Moscow for talks with President Putin. His Russian counterpart, Lavrov, stated that Israel and the United States “crossed a very big red line” with the attack on nuclear facilities. For its part, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that no increases in radiation levels were detected following the attacks, and ruled out any impacts on health or the environment.

“Europe is paying a heavy price,” Lavrov concluded. “The West has already shown its true colors, and now we are experiencing another chapter in that story.”

In the same interview, Lavrov also harshly criticized the Western stance on the Ukrainian conflict and the demonization of Russia. “They are cynically using Ukraine against us,” the foreign minister said. He also noted an “almost animal-like aggressiveness” in European discourse, especially from figures like Ursula von der Leyen and Kaja Kallas, whom he dismissed with contempt. Lavrov also denounced the economic impact of the sanctions and energy policies imposed on Moscow. He said, “They have almost completely abandoned Russian fuels and swallowed the terrorist act in the northern flows,” referring to the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines. READ MORE
