If I Was Invited To George H.W. Bush’s Funeral, I Would Not Have Recited The Roman Catholic ‘Apostles Creed’ Either

Footage from the event shows much of the church, including the former presidents seated with Trump, standing to recite the profession of faith.  Trump and first lady Melania Trump stood, but did not recite the creed, which was written in the program, nor did they sing the hymns.

People on Twitter are calling out President Donald Trump for failing to recite the Apostles’ Creed at the funeral for former President George H. W. Bush on Wednesday.

First off, the Roman Catholic Apostles Creed is not scripture, and was not written by any of the actual apostles. The last apostle, John, had been dead for nearly 300 years when the Apostles Creed showed up. While the creed does contain some truths found in the the Bible, it is mostly a vehicle to promote the Roman church. In very sneaky but typical Vatican fashion, the Apostles Creed elevates the Roman Whore to the same level as the Holy Spirit.

“I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.” The Apostles Creed of the Roman Catholic Church

Here’s what I believe about the ‘holy Catholic church‘. This unbiblical counterfeit started in the closing days of the Roman Empire, mixing raw paganism in with bible doctrines. The Catholic Church got its start in 313 AD, and the first thousand years of the Roman church constitute what used to be taught in schools as the Dark Ages. Rome has always been, and will always be, the number one killer of Christians on the Earth in any period of time.

“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.” Matthew 6:7 (KJV)

I believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon from Revelation 17 and 18, and that she will finally be destroyed by Jesus Christ Himself at the end of the time of Jacob’s trouble.

Reciting vain repetitions like the Apostles Creed has no place in an actual Christian church. I have no idea why President Trump declined to recite it, but as for me, I would not have recited it either.

Every President Recited The Apostles’ Creed Except Trump, And People Definitely Noticed

Taken from the Huff Post and the Washington Post:

Footage from the event shows much of the church, including the former presidents seated with Trump, standing to recite the profession of faith.  Trump and first lady Melania Trump stood, but did not recite the creed, which was written in the program, nor did they sing the hymns.

Given Trump’s widespread support among evangelical Christians, that led to plenty of criticism on social media:

President Trump stood, with his hands folded in front of him, waist-high, the program in his left hand, his lips not moving. Melania Trump also did not speak, nor did she hold a program.

Social media, left to right, pounced. The faith and values of Trump have been a source of debate, division, anger and mystery since his run for the presidency began — and especially since many religious conservatives embraced him, despite what critics say is his dishonesty, philandering, crudeness and policies many see as anti-Christian.

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the building of the recording studio, but it also goes to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 12,621 people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 151,781 followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 13,600 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.
