Donald Trump has been insisting for years that our country has been too economically dependent on China, so it is sad that it took a global public health crisis like coronavirus to prove he was right all this time.

Even when he was only a candidate for president, Donald Trump hammered home the fact that the United States was too dependent on China in deals that were good for the Chinese and bad for America. He warned against being overly-dependent on the Communist regime for our medicines, as well as other goods and services. Candidate Trump also warned against the catastrophe that waited for a United States who had no control over their borders. In one fell swoop, the COVID-19 coronavirus proved Donald Trump to be right on all of it, and then some.

As I write this, there are roughly 5,359 cases of coronavirus in the United States, or 0.001% of the population infected. Compared to the vast majority of other countries that is a very low rate of infection. One reason for this is President Trump’s border policies for restricting travel and access of people we cannot verify as safe to enter our borders. The Liberals have pilloried him mercilessly for doing it, but they should instead be thanking him as it has kept much of the current pandemic away from us.

It turns my stomach every time I see Liberal anarchists like Rob Reiner and Mark Ruffalo, people who pretend to be someone they’re not in order to get you to believe they are someone they’re not, spewing lie after lie against the president. Donald Trump was right about China from the beginning, and he is leading us forward strongly and confidently through the coronavirus outbreak. What are the Liberals doing? Trying to create as much fear and panic as possible to cause a recession to prevent his re-election. They hate Trump that much, and it would seem, they hate the everyday working man and woman just as much also.

FROM THE HILL: When he began imposing strategic tariffs on China in response to its long history of abusive trade practices, the liberals all of a sudden became free trade fundamentalists, predicting that this new “trade war” would harm the American economy because we have relied so heavily on cheap Chinese imports for so many years. Instead, it was the Chinese economy that took a hard hit, while our economy at home surged to its strongest performance in half a century.

CNN Forced To Admit Trump Doing A Good Job:

What happened? The answer is simple. Just as manufacturers had once moved their factories to China to take advantage of cheap labor, weak regulations, and lower tariffs on exports to developed economies, these companies are now fleeing China for other countries that offer similar business advantages without all of the political baggage from Beijing.

The coronavirus outbreak around the world could dramatically accelerate the manufacturing exodus from China, as companies begin to recognize the perils of giving the authoritarian country so much power over their supply chains. After Beijing placed hundreds of millions of its citizens under an oppressive quarantine, effectively shutting down most of its economy for weeks, the need to diversify production locations should have become abundantly clear to business leaders around the world.

Businesses that followed the lead of the president, however, were already ahead of the curve. The executives understood those artificial advantages that China always utilized to prop up its economy were going to disappear under the pressure of his tariffs, and the steps they took in anticipation of that, such as relocating production to other countries, ultimately reduced their exposure to the coronavirus crisis and its damaging consequences.

The reason for disengaging from China in the first place was to protect American workers and businesses.

While the coronavirus could not have been predicted, there is always a significant risk from overdependence on any single country, especially an authoritarian one that will routinely break the rules in its quest to get ahead. The coronavirus merely happened to be the crisis that demonstrated once and for all why the “free trade” status quo that was rooted in past decades was so dangerous to our country.

Incidentally, the coronavirus also validates the border security agenda of the president. Closing the country off to travelers from areas affected by the outbreak is one of the most effective steps that we can take to limit its spread within our country, and Trump wasted no time in implementing that safeguard. He was roundly criticized by the left, which was primarily concerned about the possibility that restricting travel from China could promote bias against Asians, but at this point pretty much everyone can agree on the importance of knowing whether people entering the United States from overseas might pose a security threat to American citizens.

That sounds an awful lot like the argument that Trump makes about the need to secure our borders against rampant illegal immigration. We need to know who is coming into our country so we can keep dangerous people out of our communities. The president of course had no idea or advance knowledge of the coronavirus. Trump just has a well crafted policy agenda that is equally well suited to protecting our country from the coronavirus as it is to creating a strong and growing economy that generates lasting and broad prosperity that reaches all American individuals and families. The Biden Pentagon said Friday that the Chinese spy balloon is currently over the center of the continental United States and is expected to continue floating over the U.S. for a ‘few days.’

It is a scenario ripped from the pages of either Saturday Night Live, or the Manchurian Candidate, take your pick. A spy balloon from Communist China not only entering US airspace over our mainland, but being given full access to roam about anywhere they want to go. What is pretend president Joe Biden doing about all of this? Absolutely nothing, but don’t be too harsh on him. When you are as embedded with the Communist Chinese as deeply as Joe Biden and his entire family are at this point, you wouldn’t be able to do much about it, either.

This is why so much time and effort has gone into protecting the Biden family from the contents of the Hunter Biden laptop, because if that laptop could talk it would make the case for the immediate impeachment of Joe Biden. How many millions poured in from Communist China to build the Penn Biden Center where all those classified documents were discovered? How many millions transferred themselves from China to Hunter Biden’s bank account where it was then handed out to various members of the Biden Crime Family? This is why Biden can do nothing about the spy balloon, he and his entire have already been bought and paid for by China.

Pentagon: Chinese Spy Balloon Expected to Be Over the U.S. for a ‘Few Days’

FROM BREITBART NEWS: “Right now we assess that it’ll probably be over the United States for a few days. But we’ll continue to monitor, review our options, and keep you updated as we can,” Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said at a briefing.

He refused to disclose exactly where it was, however, other than it was floating “eastward.”

“What we’re not going to do is get into a hour by hour location of the balloon. Again, we’re monitoring it closely. As I mentioned, right now, it’s over the center of the continental United States. That’s about as specific as I’m going to get,” he said.

He added, however, “The public certainly has the ability to look up in the sky and and see where the balloon is.”

Ryder would not discuss what “options” are being reviewed about what to do about the balloon or whether it could be shot down.

“We’re reviewing options. I’m not going to go into more specifics of that,” he said.

He did say that factors included the “potential for debris” and the “impact on civilians on the ground or property damage.” He said the balloon was assessed to be at about 60,000 feet and “well above the range of civilian air traffic or where civilian air traffic would normally fly” and was not a “physical” or “military” threat at the moment.

He said the balloon had a “payload” under it, but reiterated that the balloon was for “surveillance” and not a threat.

He declined to say whether the balloon was able to be controlled by the Chinese or had an engine, but said the balloon had changed course and that it had “the ability to maneuver.” He also declined to say whether President Joe Biden wanted it to be shot down.

“I’m not gonna get into discussions, internal discussions within the White House again, right now we assess that there is no threat of physical threat or military threat to people on the ground. So we’re continuing to monitor, you know. We’ll just leave it at that,” he said.

Ryder said the Pentagon is aware of Chinese claims the balloon was a weather balloon that veered off course, but said, “We are aware of the [People’s Republic of China] statement. However, the fact is, we know that it’s a surveillance balloon and I’m not going to be able to be more specific than that.”

“We do know that the balloon has violated U.S. airspace international law, which is unacceptable. And so we’ve conveyed this directly to the PRC at multiple levels,” he said. READ MORE

Communist China has opened police stations in US and Canada to monitor Chinese citizens

FROM THE NY POST: “These operations eschew official bilateral police and judicial cooperation and violate the international rule of law, and may violate the territorial integrity in third countries involved in setting up a parallel policing mechanism using illegal methods,” reads a report by Safeguard Defenders, a human rights watchdog, released earlier this month.

The report, titled “110 Overseas: Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild,” details China’s extensive efforts to combat “fraud” by its citizens living overseas, in part by opening several police stations on five continents that have assisted Chinese authorities in “carrying out policing operations on foreign soil.”

Europe is home to most of the police stations, with locations spread across the continent in places such as London, Amsterdam, Prague, Budapest, Athens, Paris, Madrid and Frankfurt. North America is also home to four of the stations, with three locations in Toronto and one in New York City. In all, there are 54 such stations in 30 different countries.

The report details how China has attempted to “combat the growing issue of fraud and telecommunication fraud by Chinese nationals living abroad,” running operations that have resulted in 230,000 Chinese nationals being “persuaded to return” to China “voluntarily” over the last year to face criminal prosecution.

The Chinese government has claimed that the stations provide vital services to its citizens living abroad, though the report notes that many of the services are those that would be traditionally carried out by an overseas embassy. Instead, the report argues that the stations have been used to enhance China’s overseas law enforcement capabilities in possible violation of international law. The report also outlines the potential human rights abuses associated with the stations, including using harassment and intimidation methods, such as threatening the family members of the overseas citizens. The stations have also served as centers to spread Chinese government propaganda and monitor the behavior and opinions of Chinese nationals.

“As these operations continue to develop, and new mechanisms are set up, it is evident that countries governed by the standards set by universal human rights and the rule of law urgently need to investigate these practices to identify the (local) actors at work, mitigate the risks and effectively protect the growing number of those targeted,” the report concludes. The Chinese People’s Liberation Army has issued another warning to Nancy Pelosi ahead of her expected trip to Taiwan with a video simulating a missile strike, aircraft carriers advancing and fighter jets in formation – and a stern warning from state media.

What Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and the ‘failing and flailing’ Democrats need right now more than anything else is a really, good distraction. The American people, so easily deceived and led down the garden path due to their short attention span, need to be distracted from gas prices, Bidenflation, and the ‘technical recession’ Democrats say doesn’t exist. So since monkeypox hasn’t distracted too many people, try though they may, maybe having Nancy Pelosi shot out of the sky by the Read Army will do the trick. At the very least, it’s a pretty good distraction.

FROM DAILY MAIL UK: The video was posted on WeChat on Monday morning following reports the U.S. House Speaker will arrive in Taipei on Tuesday night – despite Beijing warning they could shoot her plane down and launch a military response.

Chinese state media personality Hu Xijin also issued a grim message to the top Democrat: ‘Let her go to Taiwan. But pray before departure: wish herself a safe journey and wish herself not be defined by history as a sinner who starts a spiral of escalation process expanding military frictions to a large-scale war in the Taiwan Strait.’ Senior Taiwanese government officials and a US official both told CNN that the stop is on her trip, even though it is not on her public itinerary.

Reports from TVBS News in Taiwan have said Pelosi could arrive in Taipei as early as tomorrow night and her team has booked two hotels, although there is no mention of the visit in her official itinerary. The US official added that defense department officials were working on securing a plan to keep her safe, according to CNN.  The visit will inflame tensions with China, which considers Taiwan one of its own territories.

Amid the threat, Taiwanese officials reportedly have cancelled leave for soldiers and officers ‘to immediately prepare’ for the prospect of war.

Last Friday, Chinese state media said the government was prepared to shoot Pelosi’s plane down if it was detected in its airspace accompanied by a fighter jet escort.

The latest warning was issued during a Chinese foreign ministry briefing by spokesperson Zhao Lijian, who said that because of Pelosi’s status as the ‘No. 3 official of the US government’, a visit to Taiwan, which China claims as its own, would ‘lead to egregious political impact’.

Lijian added that it would be ‘a gross interference in China’s internal affairs’ and would lead to ‘very serious developments and consequences.’ READ MORE
