Jesus called us to be ‘fishers of men’, on this Sunday Service I’d like to ask today what are you personally fishing for in your walk with the Lord?

Recently we have watched some horrific events unfold in the news, gruesome scenes where people died, where people were killed by other people, and then we saw the unspeakable take place. We watched as Christians rejoiced in the death of the wicked. How can that be? My message today will not be popular, in fact, I fully expect it to be received with animosity, a strong hostility if you will, because today my aim and my goal will be to preach against politics, against The Right and The Left, and to remind you of what God has left you here to do. Jesus said “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”, something that blew their minds because the rest of the verse says “And they marvelled at him.” Well, buckle up, it’s going to blow a bunch of minds here today, too.

What Are You Fishing For?

I. GOD DOES NOT REJOICE IN DEATH — AND NEITHER SHOULD WE

Ezekiel 33:11 (KJB)
“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”

Proverbs 24:17–18 (KJB)
“Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.”

Key Truth:
Celebrating death—saved or lost—is never presented in Scripture as godly behavior.

II. THE MISSION OF JESUS CHRIST SETS THE PRIORITY

Luke 19:10 (KJB)
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

2 Peter 3:9 (KJB)
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Key Truth:
If Christ’s mission was to seek and save the lost, rejoicing when a lost soul dies contradicts His purpose.

III. THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOT A POLITICAL KINGDOM

“Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.”

Philippians 3:20 (KJB)
“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:”

Colossians 3:1–2 (KJB)
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Key Truth:
When believers act like political warriors instead of ambassadors, they forget where their citizenship lies.

IV. CHRIST COMMANDS LOVE, NOT VENGEANCE

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”

Romans 12:17–19 (KJB)
“Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Key Truth:
Mockery, celebration of death, and verbal cruelty are works of the flesh, not spiritual warfare.

V. THE SERVANT OF THE LORD MUST NOT STRIVE

“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”

“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”

Key Truth:
Political rage produces clicks, not converts.

VI. God Commands Christians To Avoid Brawling And Evil Speech

“To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.”

Ephesians 4:31–32 (KJB)
“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Key Truth:
If God forgave us when we were His enemies, we have no biblical ground to mock others in death.

VII. WE ARE ALL CALLED TO THE SAME GOSPEL

1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJB)
“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

1 Corinthians 3:3–4 (KJB)
“For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?”

Key Truth:
Replacing “Paul” and “Apollos” with “Left” and “Right” does not change God’s verdict.

CONCLUSION: A FINAL HEART CHECK

Ask yourself this question:
Does this help seek and save the lost — or does it gratify my flesh?

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt posts unverified account of ‘sonic mystery’ directed energy weapon used in Venezuela attack.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt just did a really, really weird thing. She’s the official spokesperson for the President of the United States, and on the official Press Secretary social media channel on X, she urged all Americans to “Stop what you are doing and read this…” What does she want us all to read? A completely unverified account by a “witness to the attack” telling us about mystery weapons ‘being used to ‘bring the Venezuelan security forces to their knees without a fight’. Hmm…

I’ll be honest with you. When I first heard of this story, it sounded like a winner. A witness on the ground in Venezuela who watched it all unfold, describing the piercing agony of Maduro’s soldiers being brought to their knees with super-advanced ‘mystery weapons’ that sounded a like a Directed Energy Weapon. Wow, that’s great stuff! I was all set to run with that story until (insert the sound of screeching brakes) I saw it also posted on the White House Press Secretary’s social media page, tantalizingly unverified. You would think that for someone like Karoline Leavitt, who makes her living dishing out only verified accounts of what the president is saying, she could have taken 5 minutes and verified her post. But she didn’t. Why not? Maybe this account is true, but if it is, why is the official spokesperson for the president being so coy about it? It sounds to me just like the type of self-glorifying “press release” you’d expect from the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda from WWII. FROM THE NY POST: The US used a powerful mystery weapon that brought Venezuelan soldiers to their knees, “bleeding through the nose” and vomiting blood during the daring raid to capture dictator Nicolas Maduro, according to a witness account posted Saturday on X by the White House press secretary.

In a jaw-dropping interview, the guard described how American forces wiped out hundreds of fighters without losing a single soldier, using technology unlike anything he has ever seen — or heard.

“We were on guard, but suddenly all our radar systems shut down without any explanation,” the guard said. “The next thing we saw were drones, a lot of drones, flying over our positions. We didn’t know how to react.” Moments later, a handful of helicopters appeared — “barely eight,” by his count — deploying what he estimated were just 20 US troops into the area. But those few men, he said, came armed with something far more powerful than guns.

“They were technologically very advanced,” the guard recalled. “They didn’t look like anything we’ve fought against before.” What ensued, he said, was not a battle, but a slaughter. “We were hundreds, but we had no chance,” he said. “They were shooting with such precision and speed; it felt like each soldier was firing 300 rounds per minute.” Then came the weapon that still haunts him.

“At one point, they launched something; I don’t know how to describe it,” he said. “It was like a very intense sound wave. Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside.” The effects were immediate and horrific.

“We all started bleeding from the nose,” he said. “Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move. We couldn’t even stand up after that sonic weapon — or whatever it was.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a question regarding whether Karoline Leavitt’s sharing of the post — captioned, “Stop what you are doing and read this…” — indicated the administration was verifying the veracity of the eyewitness account.

An estimated 100 Venezuelan security forces were killed in the Jan. 3 attack, according to the country’s Interior Ministry. It is unclear if any of those were caused by the mystery weapon. The outmatched defenders were helpless as the small US unit wiped them out, the guard said.

“Those twenty men, without a single casualty, killed hundreds of us,” he claimed. “We had no way to compete with their technology, with their weapons. I swear, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

The US has had so-called directed energy weapons technology for years, an ex-US intelligence source told The Post, noting that some systems have  the capability to produce at least some of the symptoms, including “bleeding, inability to move or function, pain and burning.”

“I’m sending a warning to anyone who thinks they can fight the United States,” he said. “They have no idea what they’re capable of. After what I saw, I never want to be on the other side of that again. They’re not to be messed with.”

Iran is teetering on the brink of collapse with a massive internet blackout sparking fears of a “massacre” and the regime’s “missile cities” on alert.

Iran right now is a nation on the brink of violent regime change as a frustrated people tired of authoritarian rule combined with a terrible economy have taken to rioting in the streets. Iran activates ‘missile cities’ over ‘Death to Dictator’ uprising as regime’s blackout sparks fear of ‘massacre’

FROM THE SUN US: As Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei barely clings to power, Donald Trump has warned the US “will get involved” if the mullah regime uses violence to crack down on demonstrators. At least 65 people including nine children have reportedly died amid the carnage which kicked off on December 28 and now marks the greatest challenge the Islamic regime has faced in years. Over 2,300 protesters have also been arrested with the violent demonstrations entering the two-week mark.

As Iranians took to the streets for the 14th consecutive day on Friday they were heard chanting anti-government slogans including: “Death to Khamenei!”

Hundreds of towns including the capital have been plunged into total anarchy – with shocking footage showing streets up in flames and swarms of locals destroying buildings. Trembling authorities have used tear gas to disperse large crowds of furious locals, while US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency has reported gunfire across the country. Iran’s prosecutor-general Mohammad Movahedi Azad warned on Saturday that all protesters would face the death penalty, as he vowed to charge “rioters and terrorists” as “enemies of god”. Top Ayatollah crony and Tehran’s chief prosecutor Ali Salehi has also vowed to use the death penalty on some if they commit acts of vandalism.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has been placed on the highest state of alert and authorities have activated “missile cities” – vast underground complexes packed with ballistic missiles. “We’ll be hitting them very hard where it hurts.”

Threatening to punish the mullahs if they killed protesters, the US president said: “You better not start shooting because we’ll start shooting too.” On Saturday Iran’s army urged citizens to stay alert to thwart what it called “enemy plots” in a desperate bid to blame other countries including the US for the national outrage.

The Ayatollah’s teetering regime has cut off all internet across Iran and plunged the nation into a near total communications blackout. Fears are now mounting that the Islamic Republic is cloaking a bloody crackdown.
