Pope Benedict compared gay marriage to the Antichrist, leading some experts to suggest it could be a ploy to derail Pope Francis’ own highly-liberal revitalization plans for the Roman Catholic Church.
When Pope Benedict stunningly announced his retirement in 2013, to say it took the Roman Catholic Church by surprise would be a gross understatement. A pope retiring had not happened in nearly 700 years, and it immediately gave rise to myriad conspiracy theories as to why he did it. But whatever the reason, it exposed some of the arcane and evil mystery that has always walked hand in hand with the Whore of Revelation. So recent comments by Benedict comparing gay marriage, something Pope Francis seems to be increasingly in favor of, with the coming reign of Antichrist lands them both smack dab on the NTEB end times radar.
“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelation 17:4,5 (KJB)
Bible truth is such that, even in an ungodly and unholy mess like the Roman Catholic counterfeit church, it will bubble up to the top no matter the source it comes out through. Every Roman Catholic pope has been, by definition, a type of Antichrist since the first popes back in the 300’s AD. They steal one of the names of God, Holy Father as found in John 17:11, and apply it to themselves. Did not Lucifer scream at God in Isaiah 14:13-15 and declare he would be like Him? Yep, sure did. Benedict jabbing at Francis with ‘antichrist’ is right on the money, even is Benedict is a lost man himself.
Pope Benedict Comparing Gay Marriage To The Antichrist Is A Direct Jab At Pope Francis
FROM THE EXPRESS UK: Pope Francis’ quest to ensure more liberalism within the Vatican is being hampered by Benedict, who must take “real retirement” after standing down as the head of the Catholic church, an expert has demanded.
The alleged row between Francis and Benedict has continued to boil, ever since the current pope replaced his successor in a shock move seven years ago. It has threatened Francis’ mission to try and modernise the church, as his supposed attempts at relaxing some of the rules of Catholicism, such as the introduction of married male priests into the fold, have been scuppered. Now, author Lynda Telford – writer of ‘Women of the Vatican – Female Power in a Male World’ – has called for Benedict to move away from the upper echelons of the church and allow Francis to carry out his own mandate.
She described the move to allow Benedict to stay on despite his resignation as the head of the Vatican as “appalling”. It comes amid claims the pair do not get on as Benedict’s more traditionalist agenda is often set against the more liberal values of Francis.
In recent days, Benedict has attempted to soften perceptions of a dispute as quotes emerged from the new authorised biography ‘Benedict XVI – A Life’. In the snippets from the book, Benedict said his friendship with Francis had “not only endured but grown”.
But other comments that surfaced from the publication show Benedict comparing gay marriage to the Antichrist, leading some experts to suggest it could be a ploy to derail Francis’ own revitalisation plans for the church.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Ms Telford said: “Benedict has no right to interfere.
“Putting him under the same roof as Francis, so he’s never free of him, is appalling. He should be in real retirement somewhere. “He speaks as he does because he knows he has support from other backward-lookers. READ MORE

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.
But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 14,444+ people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 149,000 followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 15,300 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.
