Today I want to challenge you to become a bold witness for Jesus Christ in these last days of the Church Age, get on fire to tell the lost about Jesus!
Today is Thanksgiving, the uniquely American holiday where we give thanks for the Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for allowing us to live in most prosperous country on earth. At least, that’s how George Washington intended to be when he proclaimed the very first Thanksgiving to be celebrated in 1789. As for me, that’s how we celebrate it in our home.
“Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.” 1 Chronicles 16:8-11 (KJV)
The thing I am most thankful for, today and everyday, is for my salvation. Because of what Jesus did for me personally on the cross at Calvary 2,000 years ago, I have been judged, founded guilty, sentenced to the everlasting, unquenchable fires of Hell, and set FREE because Jesus paid my sin debt. He died in my place, so now instead of the Hell I deserve I get Heaven instead. it’s a free gift, all I had to do was receive it, and I did 28 years ago on my knees with a Gideon’s King James Bible open to John 3:16. Best decision I ever made, but having become born again and set free, Jesus tells me to be witness and to share the gospel of the grace of God with the lost within my little circle of life.
Listen to what these amazing men of God had to say about witnessing and evangelism:
- Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you are not saved yourself.” – Charles Spurgeon
- “It’s not our business to make the message acceptable, but to make it available. We are not to see that they like it, but that they get it.” – Vance Havner
- “Faith is to rest, not in the best of God’s servants, but in his unchanging Word.” – Henry Ironside
- “Let’s quit fiddling with religion and do something to bring the world to Christ.” – Billy Sunday
- “God save us from living in comfort while sinners are sinking into hell.” – Charles Spurgeon
- “The scriptures are given not to increase our knowledge, but to change our lives.” – Dwight L. Moody
- “Salvation isn’t getting something for nothing, it’s getting everything for nothing.” – Peter S. Ruckman
- “Only one life, twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.” – CT Studd
- “Out of 100 men, one will read the Bible, the other 99 will read the Christian.” – D. L. Moody
Today I want to challenge you to become a bold witness for Jesus Christ in these last days of the Church Age. Jesus tells us in Revelation 3 that the final state of the professing Christian Church is lukewarm Laodiceanism, but guess what? That is a corporate prophecy, the Church in general, but it does not have to be you in particular. Listen to the rest of the message to the angel of the Church of Laodicea.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Revelation 3:20,21 (KJV)
Don’t Wait, Get On Fire For God Now
God is calling us to be overcomers, we can be like Philadelphia in the midst of Laodicea. Since 2015, we have been selling our NTEB Gospel Tracts to on fire Christians all over the world, and they are an excellent way to share the gospel of the grace of God.
NTEB gospel tracts are bright, 4-color, and printed on glossy postcard stock. On the back is a laser-focused gospel presentation and salvation invitation to the reader. We have personally handed out thousands and thousands of these tracts, and can testify that they are very well received. Click image below to order your box right now!
The Greatest Sermon On Hell You Will Ever Hear
Why do we witness, evangelize and preach on the streets? Because Hell is real and lost people are going there. You can change a lost person’s eternal destiny with gospel tracts, so why don’t you? Think gospel tracts don’t work? I can personally introduce you to hundreds of people who say otherwise.
This Is What It Looks Like To Preach The Gospel On The Streets In 2019
This 2-minute video shows you exactly what it is like to be a street preacher, and how the average person on the street will react to you. This video was shot on the corner of St. George and Hypolita streets in downtown St. Augustine, Florida. Click to watch how easy it is to hand out our gospel tracts, people love them! (lol, everyone except for the lost people we make angry in this video.)
What are you waiting for, a fiery message in the sky to tell you to go out and witness to the lost with gospel tracts? Consider this it. We are in the closing days of the Church Age, and the window of grace that God has given us is rapidly closing. Only one life, it will soon be past, and only what you do for Jesus Christ will last.
