Our Free King James Bible Program Gives God’s Preserved Word Out On The Streets, In The Prisons And On Foreign Mission Fields Around The World

God has given us an amazing open door with the Free Bible and Gospel Tracts Program and Bibles Behind Bars, meeting the spiritual needs of saints and sinners around the world.

This week we have had a beautiful assortment of requests for King James Bibles, New Testaments, scripture portions and gospel tracts from a very diverse section of humanity. There was the Maury Correctional Facility in Hookerton, North Carolina who needed Bibles and copies of “What Must I Do To Be Saved?”, and we set them up. Then there was the Amazing Grace Bible Baptist Church in the Philippines who needed Ruckman Reference Bibles for their Bible Institute graduating class, and those went out. The Solomon’s Porch Men’s Ministry at The Shepherd’s Church in Cary, North Carolina needed lots of Bibles for their annual outreach to the unsaved, and we handled that request as well.

“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.” Psalm 119:160 (KJB)

In addition to that, we send out daily Ruckman Reference Bibles to individuals around the world who write in to us requesting a study Bible, but are not able to afford one. There is hardly ever a day when we do not get requests, large and small, for desperately needed Bibles and Bible literature. To date, we have handed out over 400,000 items, to some of the most-neglected and forgotten-about regions in America, and around the world. How is all this possible? Glad you asked!

Our Free Bible Program and Bibles Behind Bars is 100% funded by the donations of NTEB’ers who believe in this mission and have joined us in this fight. I believe in this mission so much, that I donate 100% of my yearly salary, $9,600.00, at Bethany Baptist Church to Bibles Behind Bars. I am all in. As of today, over 10,721 people have partnered with us and we are so grateful for the support. But much more is needed. The Pruntytown Correctional Center and Jail In West Virginia is the latest detention center to request King James Bibles for their inmates

So far in 2026, thousands of King James Bibles, scripture portions and books have been flying out the door, with new requests coming in on a daily basis. The Pruntytown Correctional Center and Jail holds just under 400 inmates, and Chaplain Elder has requested a Bible for each inmate. Up in north Georgia at the Murray County Jail, Chaplain Rick has run out of the thousands of Bibles we’ve sent him last year, and is requesting more. What a blessing to see the gospel being preached, souls being saved and the word of God going out!

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.” Luke 8:11 (KJB)

From all the testimonies we’ve been getting, right around 1,000 souls have heard the gospel, believed it, and were given a Bible from Bibles Behind Bars. I am sure the actual numbers are much higher than that, but those are the ones we’ve directly heard about. When you donate to this outreach, you are first and foremost keeping the supply lines open for all the pastors, chaplains and volunteers who go to the jails and prisons to preach. Bibles Behind Bars is one of the very last jail and prison supply ministries who send out the King James Bibles and books exclusively. Chaplain Farwell Of The Elmira Correctional Facility In Upstate New York Writes To Tell Us Of The ‘Desperate Need’ Of Their Inmates For Copies Of The Word Of God

The Elmira Correctional Facility in update New York has an urgent need for hundreds of copies of God’s preserved word

Elmira Correctional is a maximum ‘A facility’ in upstate NY, writes Chap Farwell. He says “We house between 1500 – 1600 incarcerated men. Approximately 600 are in our Reception Center either as parole violators, recidivists, or first time offenders awaiting classification that will send them to another correctional facility to serve their sentences and to be enrolled into a program designed to correct their behavior. Most don’t have any faith life at all even though their families may have. However, when the reality of being incarcerated hits them they reach out in desperation, which is where we as chaplains come in.” Chaplain Farwell is serving on the front lines, and Bibles Behind Bars is keeping his supply lines open.

“But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” Genesis 39:21 (KJB)

Chap went on to say “Most ask for Bibles and for many it is their first one. As chaplains, we direct them to scripture and let them know that God loves them and quite possibly this is God’s plan for them. This is where they can encounter God, but they have to come to know God and the Bible helps them to do their part. We give these Bibles freely in the hope that they will give God a chance to speak to them and they can speak to God. We are constantly seeking Bibles and if you can be a source to provide them we would be most grateful. We especially need large print. Whatever you can do would be most appreciated. God bless you for your work.” Christian, God has called us to stand in the gap for the ‘least of these’ and to give them a copy of God’s preserved word. Come help us to do that, we need you!

Chaplain Marshall At The Leon County Detention Facility Says The Need For Bibles Is Urgent As Inmates Are Being Turned Away From Lack Of Supply

The Leon County Detention Facility in Florida is struggling with an inability to keep their inmates supplied with Bibles as the need is great but the supplies are few

As many of you know, our whole family was hit with the Subclade K super flu this week, and all activity here at NTEB basically stopped. Lori and I want to thank everyone for your fervent and effectual prayer for our recovery. This is why we are a praying people, so thank you, everyone. Well, while I am not yet fully recovered, I thought I had better dust off the keyboard and write about something. Nothing in the news really interested me, and then I saw an email come over from Chaplain Marshall at the Leon County Detention Facility in Florida. What he had to say snapped me right to attention. Time to write.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 (KJB)

Dr. Marshall’s email says “We really need your help. We are struggling with constant requests for the bible. We have over 1000 inmates. I am reaching out because we should never have to turn an inmate away who is seeking Gods word. The need is urgent so please send us as many bibles as possible on an ongoing basis. May God Bless You. We can only accept PAPER Bibles.” This is the very reason for which Bibles Behind Bars was raised up for, to send God’s preserved word into as many jail and prison cells as possible. They need a thousand Bibles are quickly as possible, and with your help we can do it. The cost to send these Bibles out is $4,550, please pray about joining with us to get this done. Bibles Behind Bars is the chaplain’s lifeline that allows them to do the work God has called them to do. Help us to keep the gospel supply lines open!
