“Yesterday we had 141 ICE detainees of which 2 spoke English, I’m the Bible teacher and we had no Spanish Bibles. Can you help us?!?” We sure can, and we did.

Last week was an amazing week, we celebrated one whole year of our Bibles Behind Bars program on our Podcast. We heard some amazing testimonies about the importance of Bibles going behind the bars from Chaplain CF Hazlewood who heads up the Rehabilitation Programs Division in Huntsville, Texas, Bro. Roy Bell from Las Vegas, prison worker Jennifer Ballard and Chaplain Steve from the Adair County Jail in Stilwell, Oklahoma. They told me that revival is breaking out in those prisons since receiving King James Bibles from us, and because of that we are putting both those facilities on a monthly allotment of Bibles starting in September. We’ve never done that before, what a blessing!

Since just those Podcasts, we got an email from Paula Welch at the Eden Immigration Detention Center in Eden Texas, and she wrote this. “Corecivic is a privately owned prison who houses Marshal and ICE Inmates.  We have a population of around 1100.  We are in dire need of Spanish bibles; anywhere from 50-100.  Chaplain Avila conducts sermons on a daily basis.  Yesterday we had 141 ICE detainees of which 2 spoke English.  We also have a band for the chapel.  I conduct bible studies and I have no Spanish literature.” Wow. She’s the Bible teacher and she has no Bibles. I wrote back and told her we were sending them 500 King James Bibles in Spanish, and it blew her mind. She wrote back and said “We can’t thank you enough! The chaplain is jumping up and down. We had 142 Ice inmates in here yesterday and only a handful of bibles.  They are all excited as are we are now.”

I got a phone call earlier this week from a man named Micah Hedges, and he represents the Gospel Truth Jail Ministry in Dalton, Georgia. He told me that he was previously a ‘lukewarm Laodicean’ but after coming across NTEB and our twice-weekly King James Bible Studies, he got back on fire for God and was preaching on the streets and now getting involved in jail ministry. He asked me if NTEB could supply him with around 500 King James Bibles, and I was very happy to tell him that we could. Those Bibles will be delivered to multiple jail sites in that part of Georgia.

We are only able to do all this because you all pray for this ministry, and support the important work the Lord is having us to do. We are not only getting the word of God into the jails and prisons, but through our Free Bible Program we are sending well over 100 Ruckman Reference Bibles per month to individuals who request them from America and about 20 other countries as well.
