Speaking from Nacion de Fe in Kissimmee, Florida, the governor made it clear that they are committed to “defend those that can’t defend themselves. “We are here to protect life,” DeSantis declared, announcing his intention to sign HB 5. “This is a time where these babies have beating hearts. They can move, they can taste they can see they can feel pain, they can suck their thumbs and they have brain waves,” DeSantis said, noting that this move represents “the most significant protections for life that have been enacted in this state in a generation.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Thursday signed legislation to protect unborn babies in the Sunshine State, banning abortions after 15 weeks.

Over in liberal Colorado, the Democrats were besides themselves with joy, celebrating the “right” to kill their unborn babies up to their due date, in a law that was enacted in the opening days of April. How sick and demented must a person’s mind be to view abortion as “healthcare”, and then cry tears of hysterical happiness when laws surrounding abortion are expanded. This bloodlust was seen in 15 other states as well in our demon-filled capital of Washington, DC. Here in the free state of Florida, however, fearless governor Ron DeSantis has other ideas, radical ideas like life is precious and to be preserved.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJB)

If DeSantis decides to run for president in 2024, he absolutely has my vote with no reservation of any kind, albeit tempered by sadness that he would not longer be the governor of my home state of Florida. In my opinion, DeSantis having proved himself throughout the COVID Plannedemic, would easily beat every other GOP contender including Donald Trump, by a wide margin. A report published a few days ago ranked Florida as one of the best states in handling COVID, getting high marks for maintaining Florida’s economy, education, and having a low death count per number of COVID cases. DeSantis is already a fantastic governor, and he would make an amazing president. Here’s to hoping.

Florida Enacts Protections for Unborn Babies at 15 Weeks

“We are here to protect life,” DeSantis declared, announcing his intention to sign HB 5.

“This is a time where these babies have beating hearts. They can move, they can taste they can see they can feel pain, they can suck their thumbs and they have brain waves,” DeSantis said, noting that this move represents “the most significant protections for life that have been enacted in this state in a generation.”

He briefly spoke of the radical views of the far-left, who are attempting to normalize abortion even up to nine months:

And if you look what’s going on in certain segments of our society, particularly amongst people who are affiliated with the far left of our political spectrum, of course, that’s overrepresented in places like Hollywood, in the media and obviously in one of our major political parties, but they are now taking the position that babies can be aborted up to the ninth month. Literally, you can go back, for you parents, and those are some of the most significant experiences of my life to hold your child for the very first time. What they would say is parent holding that child, if you just go back a day or two, then you would have been able to snuff the child out entirely?

“That is just fundamentally wrong. That is infanticide, and that has no place,” DeSantis said, noting that the mentality has “really shocked the conscience in our society” and mentioning the horrifying story of pro-life activists discovering the remains of 115 aborted babies in Washington, D.C.

“They found all these remains of babies and they found five who were basically infants premature. They would have been but they would have been able to survive, you know, outside the womb. And yet Washington D.C. is treating that just like we would treat the trash from our lunch or something like that,” he said.

“It’s really horrifying to see that that could go on in our country, but particularly in our nation’s capital, and so that is callous. That is wrong,” DeSantis continued, making it clear that “we will not let that happen in the state of Florida.

The bill itself, DeSantis explained, “will provide protections for unborn children from abortion when the child reaches 15 weeks of gestational age.”

“Of course, these are babies that have heartbeats and that can feel pain and can move as we said, the bill also expands fetal infant mortality review committees across the state which engage medical professionals and communities to review infant mortality cases and recommends reduction efforts tailored to their communities,” he said, noting that it also “requires hospitals with laboring delivery services to participate in Florida, prenatal quality collaborative initiatives which reigns from opioid recovery programs to reducing cesarean overuse in deliveries.”

“This requirement will move Florida to a statewide standard for quality birthing services and evidence based interventions around issues like opioid abuse that cause higher rates of infant mortality,” he added. READ MORE

President Donald Trump’s Middle East Theater Meets Reality As Iran Threats Send Him Back To The Old Air Force One For The Flight Home

Trump is selling strength, victory, dominance, and deterrence over Iran, yet the image coming out of this trip is not victory-lap confidence but nervous calculation. He says Iran has been beaten, decimated, obliterated, and put back in its box, but when the moment comes to fly through a dangerous threat environment, the Qatari-gifted luxury jet suddenly stays behind and the old, battle-tested Air Force One gets the call. That is political irony at 40,000 feet. The boast is “Iran is defeated,” but his actions say, “not defeated enough for me to trust this plane.” Reports say the switch raised questions precisely because Trump was also talking about Iranian threats and being at the top of their “kill list.”

Trump bragged about the lavish $400 million plane gifted by Qatar, took his first flight on it, and praised it like a symbol of prestige and power. But Qatar is a Muslim Gulf state with its own entanglements, relationships, and strategic calculations in the region, and the moment Iran re-enters the picture, that glittering “gift” starts looking less like strength and more like vulnerability. The old Air Force One may be aging, but it represents hardened American continuity; the Qatari jet represents spectacle, luxury, controversy, and foreign influence. One is built for the presidency in crisis. The other looks tailor-made for Trump’s brand.

Trump’s foreign policy is forever trapped between theater and reality. In the theater, Iran is crushed, America is feared, enemies are trembling, and Trump is the great wartime commander. In reality, Iran is still threatening, the Middle East is still burning, the ceasefire is being declared finished, and the president is making aircraft decisions that appear to reflect a genuine fear of exposure. He can call Tehran names, promise to hit them “hard,” and claim victory all day long, but if Iran is still shaping how the president travels, then Iran has not been removed from the chessboard.

So the old Air Force One becomes the perfect symbol of the moment. Trump wanted the new plane to say, “Look how powerful I am.” Instead, the switch back to the old one says, “Look how dangerous this has become.” He boasted about beating Iran, then appeared unwilling to put that boast to the test in the Muslim-provided luxury jet from Qatar. That is not just irony — that is the whole Trump Middle East doctrine in one image: loud claims of victory, foreign gifts wrapped in controversy, threats still coming from Iran, and America once again flying through the consequences of unfinished wars.

At the very same time, the U.S. has restarted strikes against Iranian targets after renewed attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, with CENTCOM calling Iran’s actions a violation of the ceasefire.
