Facebook has banned The Epoch Times, a conservative news outlet that spent more money on pro-Trump Facebook advertisements than any group other than the Trump campaign, from any future advertising on the platform.
We have been telling you for sometime now that the Democrats know they cannot win in 2020, they have no doubt that President Trump will win re-election. That’s why they created the Russian Collusion hoax, that’s why they put all their eggs into Mueller’s basket, because there is no other way to beat Trump. The Liberals who run nearly every meaningful social media platform are now doing what all fascist-loving groups do, censorship.
Facebook starting in early 2019, has been gradually increasing their censorship levels against Christian and Conservative news outlets like NTEB. After 10 years of posting about Islamic terrorism, my one Facebook account was suddenly flagged for ‘hate speech’ and effectually neutered. I reverted back to my original account, then Facebook went ahead and limited the reach of all our future posts. So what was once shared by 10,000 is now only seen by barely a thousand. And it gets worse with each passing day. NTEB has been flagged and added to just about every Liberal ‘blacklist’ there is, including being designated as ‘anti-government’ by the Southern Poverty Law Center. So where is this all heading?
It is heading in one of two directions, as far as I can see it. The Liberals having failed spectacularly in getting rid of Trump in multiple attempts have only two options left to them. The first option is they are hoping and praying to their gods that a robust social media censorship of Christians and Conservatives will do the trick. That is where all the focus seems to be at the moment. The second option will be to assassinate Trump after he is sworn in for his second term. That’s where all of this is headed. But in the meantime we can safely predict you will see many more outlets like The Epoch Times banned from social media.
Facebook bans ads from The Epoch Times after huge pro-Trump buy
FROM NBC NEWS: The decision follows an NBC News report that The Epoch Times had shifted its spending on Facebook in the last month, seemingly in an effort to obfuscate its connection to some $2 million worth of ads that promoted the president and conspiracy theories about his political enemies.
“Over the past year we removed accounts associated with the Epoch Times for violating our ad policies, including trying to get around our review systems,” a Facebook spokesperson said. “We acted on additional accounts today and they are no longer able to advertise with us.”
Facebook’s decision came as a result of a review prompted by questions from NBC News. The spokesperson explained that ads must include disclaimers that accurately represent the name of the ad’s sponsors.
The Epoch Times new method of pushing the pro-Trump conspiracy ads on Facebook, which appeared under page names such as “Honest Paper” and “Pure American Journalism,” allowed the organization to hide its multimillion-dollar spending on dark-money ads, in effect bypassing Facebook’s political advertising transparency rules. Facebook’s ban will affect only The Epoch Times’ ability to buy ads; the sock-puppet pages created to host the new policy-violating ads were still live at the time of publication.
A recent NBC News investigation revealed how The Epoch Times had evolved from a nonprofit newspaper that carried a Chinese-American religious movement’s anti-communism message into a conservative online news behemoth that embraced President Donald Trump and conspiracy content.
Since 2016, The Epoch Times’ revenue more than doubled, and the reach of its online content rocketed past that of every other news organization, attracting billions of views across its many platforms. It also became a player on the conservative media stage, securing interviews with Trump Cabinet members, loyalists and family members, as well as members of Congress and Republican media stars.
Until mid-July, The Epoch Times had placed its ads through accounts that clearly labeled their affiliation to the wider organization. Through the umbrella account, Coverage of the Trump Presidency by The Epoch Times, the news organization spent $1.5 million on more than 11,000 Trump-friendly Facebook ads within the last year. When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.
But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 13,131 people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 151,781 followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 14,500 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.
