It seems with every new television season a show that mocks Jesus Christ and the Christian faith gets a pilot.

“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” 2 Peter 3:3,4 (KJV)

On a regular basis, television studios in Hollywood release pilots that either glorify the Devil, as in the show Lucifer, or mock and belittle Christians and the Bible like we see in this new show, Living Biblically, just released by CBS on February 26, 2018. And of course, the “christian” in the show who goes on a quest to ‘live biblically’ is a New Age, ecumenical, embracing all religions mashup cartoon-like character who is hyper-judgmental and attempts to enact Old Testament justice.

What you do not see in this show, and will not see in this piece of trash, is salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins as the only way to Heaven. But if you read all the way through to the end, we will be happy to show that to you.

This season it is the CBS show ‘Living Biblically’ – a comedic take on the real life quest of a journalist to live his life “according to the Bible” for one year. From the preview scenes alone, it seems obvious that this show has no intention of representing the Bible accurately or bringing any actual serious discussion about the Christian faith. Instead it seeks cheap laughs and gags all the while mocking The Lord Jesus Christ and those who try their best to follow Him.

“Chip Curry is a modern day man at a crossroads in his life, who decides to live strictly in accordance with the Bible. A film critic for a New York Newspaper and a soon-to-be father, Chip wants to be a better man following the loss of his best friend. He decides to put his slightly obsessive temperament to use and start living his life 100% by the Bible to find direction. His smart, pregnant wife, Leslie, while both skeptical and entertained by her husband’s new passion, supports him completely. Knowing he’ll need some practical advice, Chip forms a “God Squad” with Father Gene, a Catholic Priest who helps Chip translate the rules of the Bible to a modern world; and Father Gene’s best friend, easygoing Rabbi Gil Ableman, who respects Chip’s chutzpah and is glad to serve as a sounding board when they meet at their local bar.

At Chip’s newspaper, he finds support from his no-nonsense boss, Ms. Meadows, who knows Chip’s self-penned story will sell newspapers, and his co-worker and friend, Vince, who is quick with a reality check and likes to wind Chip up for his own amusement. As he begins his sincere spiritual journey toward a more moral life with the help of his wife and friends, Chip wonders if he’ll be able to take a page – or every page – out of the Good Book, and if the effect will be of Biblical proportions.” (source).

From the preview clips alone, the show seems intent on turning the lead character Chip into a walking, breathing negative Christian stereotype. He is judgmental, hyper-critical and even violent, because “the Bible says so.” This attempt to highlight the view of the Old Testament revealing a God who is harsh, violent and lacking compassion is a common argument for critics of the Christian faith. Living Biblically seeks to make this argument in a more subversive manner by having its lead act out these negative traits all in the name of seeking to live a righteous, holy “Biblical lifestyle.”

When Chip seeks counsel from a Roman Catholic priest and tells him of his plan, the priest laughs in his face – clearly mocking the fact that anyone would take the Bible literally.

“People need to start talking about religion again,” producer Patrick Walsh said. “I don’t buy the idea that we live in a ‘godless society.’ Eighty-four percent of the world aligns themselves with religion, and 9 out of 10 people believe in God, yet religion is never discussed because everyone is too scared to offend. In talking about it, you can erase so many misconceptions about it on either side.” source

There is a penalty for your sins – eternal torment in a place called Hell

Jesus Christ is God’s Provision for Your Sinful Condition.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16 (KJV)

You Can Be Saved–Right Now. Every Saturday afternoon we go out on the streets in the town where we live, and we preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Just today, a young man named John stopped to listen. We presented him with the exact same gospel that you are reading right now, and asked him if he knew he was a sinner. He was very honest, he said “yes, I do”. We told him that salvation is not a “magic bullet”, a “get out of jail free card”, or some “30 second prayer” someone gets you to pray. Salvation is a legally-binding transaction, as the Bible declares, when you the sinner take your sins to a sinless Saviour – Jesus Christ – and you trade your sins for His Righteousness.

Jesus Christ was crucified, died, was buried and rose again on the THIRD DAY according to the Scriptures. He did all that for YOU, to buy your pardon to SET YOU FREE. All you have to do is accept or reject that FREE GIFT. If you reject it, when you die, you will burn forever in a place called Hell. If you accept it, the Bible says the moment you die you will be with Christ in Heaven never to die again. Which one do YOU want?

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)

Pray and ask the Lord, “Lord Jesus, be merciful to me a sinner, and save me. I now, with a repentant heart, receive you as my personal Saviour”.

More than 1,000 Hollywood filmmakers, actors and industry professionals have signed a pledge not to work with certain Israeli film institutions with ‘Filmworkers For Palestine’

It is an interesting position to take, supporting Palestine that is ruled by a duly-elected terrorist organization, Hamas, and seeking to express that support while ignoring the terrorists whom the Palestinians of their own free will elected to rule over them. So if someone were to say, “I support Gaza”, ruled by Hamas, or I support Palestine, ruled by Hamas, by definition that person would be saying they support Hamas. Film Workers for Palestine support Hamas, and that’s the memo.

It’s a bad time to be a Jew in Hollywood, or anywhere else for that matter. The Bible says that hatred of the Jews would rise in the last days, and that’s exactly what we are seeing. Today’s bombing of Hamas leadership in Doha will only serve to fan the flames of Jew-hatred and anti-Israel sentiment. Have you ever noticed that whenever we get close to the UN recognizing a state of Palestine that something always happens to stop it? The question is, will the events of today in Qatar hinder a state of Palestine, or hasten it? I am thinking that, this time around, it will speed things up. It’s time.

Hollywood Actors and Directors Pledge to Boycott Israeli Film Institutions

FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES: The pledge was made in an open letter published on Monday by Film Workers for Palestine, a group that campaigns for the end of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

“In this urgent moment of crisis, where many of our governments are enabling the carnage in Gaza, we must do everything we can to address complicity in that unrelenting horror,” the letter read.

The signatories, which also include the director Adam McKay, the actor Mark Ruffalo and the actress Ayo Edebiri, pledged not to screen films, appear at or otherwise work with Israeli cinemas, broadcasters and production companies that, in their view, “are implicated in genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people.” The group said it had been inspired by Filmmakers United Against Apartheid, a movement that in the 1980s worked to end apartheid in South Africa.

Last month, a group of academic experts known as the International Association of Genocide Scholars declared that Israel’s actions in Gaza had met the legal definition of genocide. According to Gaza health officials, more than 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in the war, which began when Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people. Experts in food security have found famine in parts of the Gaza Strip, an assertion rejected by Israel.

In a statement last week, a spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry called the conclusion by the International Association of Genocide Scholars “an embarrassment to the legal profession and to any academic standard,” and said it was “entirely based on Hamas’s campaign of lies and the laundering of those lies by others.”

Film Workers for Palestine said its pledge did not prohibit working with Israeli individuals. “The call is for film workers to refuse to work with Israeli institutions that are complicit in Israel’s human rights abuses against the Palestinian people,” it said on its website. “This refusal takes aim at institutional complicity, not identity.” The organization said that while a few Israeli film entities “are not complicit,” a vast majority of the country’s “film production and distribution companies, sales agents, cinemas and other film institutions have never endorsed the full, internationally recognized rights of the Palestinian people.”

The group added that Israel’s major film festivals, including the Jerusalem Film Festival, continue to partner with the Israeli government.

Other signatories of the pledge include the actress Cynthia Nixon and Yorgos Lanthimos, the director of the upcoming film “Bugonia.” Javier Bardem, Susan Sarandon and Indya Moore partnered with Film Workers for Palestine on Instagram to share a post explaining the pledge.

The pledge comes after a recent pro-Palestinian demonstration at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival drew thousands of participants. That protest gained momentum after Venice4Palestine, a group of Italian and international film professionals, released an open letter demanding that the festival condemn the destruction and suffering caused by Israel’s military campaign in Gaza. Cynthia Erivo will play Jesus in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles

FROM NBC NEWS: The role marks the Oscar nominee’s return to the stage nearly a decade after her acclaimed Broadway debut in “The Color Purple” as Celie Harris, which earned her a Tony in 2016 for best lead actress in a musical. “Jesus Christ Superstar,” Lloyd Webber’s iconic rock opera, made its world premiere on Broadway in 1971 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre.

The Tony-nominated musical is a loose retelling of Jesus’ final days through the eyes of Judas Iscariot. With a score that blends rock, gospel and symphonic influences, the show explores the complex relationships between Jesus, his disciples and the Roman Empire.

Hot off her performance as Elphaba in the hit film adaptation of “Wicked,” Erivo took to her Instagram story on Tuesday to confirm the news.

“Just a little busy this Summer. Can’t wait!!,” she wrote, reposting Broadway World’s announcement to her Instagram Story.

Tony-winning choreographer Sergio Trujillo will direct and choreograph the production at the Hollywood Bowl, which will run from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3. Additional casting details have yet to be announced. Erivo is no stranger to the material. She performed “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from an all-female album version of “Jesus Christ Superstar,” titled “She Is Risen,” which released in 2020. Last night, the 2023 Grammys in 5 minutes showed you graphically how close to the end we truly are. Satan, brought to you by Pfizer. Just like we’ve been telling you.

If you were looking for a theme song wrapped in an iconic moment to truly symbolize what it means to be here on Day 1,057 of 15 Days To Flatten The Curve, the 2023 Grammys last night was just the ticket. You had LGBTQ+ transgenders, Satan, women in cages being beaten with whips, all while singing a song called ‘Unholy’. And if that wasn’t enough, the moment this demonic mess was done, they cut to a ‘brought to you by Pfizer’ promo, tying the two in nice and neatly together. There is nothing more you need to know about the Great Reset, the pandemic, gain of function and all the rest of that junk than that. 2023 Grammys Go ‘Full Satan’ With Performance Of ‘Unholy’

FROM VARIETY: Sam Smith just outdid their recent “Saturday Night Live” performance with “Unholy” collaborator Kim Petras in a horror movie-inspired performance of the smash hit. Smith started the song in red leather, surround a fleet of dancers that evoked Samara from “The Ring,” before cutting to Petras dancing in a cage, flanked by some dominatrices wearing satanic headgear. Smith also donned a satanic top hat, as huge flames heated up the stage.

Smith and Petras won the Grammy for best pop duo/group performance earlier in the evening, and Petras gave an emotional speech.

“Sam graciously wanted me to accept this award because I’m the first transgender woman to win this award,” she said, to cheers and many of the musicians in the crowd giving her a standing ovation. “I just wan to thank all of the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open before me so I could be here tonight. Sophie, my friend who passed away two years ago, who told me this would happen and always believed in me. Thank you so much for you inspiration, Sophie. I adore you, and your inspiration will forever be in my music.”

When asked about the fiery performance backstage, Petras said it was inspired by not feeling accepted by religion.

“I think a lot of people, honestly, have kind of labeled what I stand for and what Sam stands for as religiously not cool, and I personally grew up wondering about religion and wanting to be a part of it but slowly realizing it didn’t want me to be a part of it,” she said. “So it’s a take on not being able to choose religion. And not being able to live the way that people might want you to live, because as a trans person I’m already not kind of wanted in religion.
