Catholic Priest DEFENDS Pedophiles Says Child Victims ‘Seduce Them’ Then Apologizes

“Here’s this poor guy — Sandusky — it went on for years. Interesting: Why didn’t anyone say anything? Apparently, a number of kids knew about it and didn’t break the ice. Well, you know, until recent years, people did not register in their minds that it was a crime. It was a moral failure, scandalous; but they didn’t think of it in terms of legal things,” Groeschel said.

Every once in a great while, a high-ranking Catholic priest or Bishop will make a mistake and say what they really believe. Given the Catholic church’s long, long history of molesting children and then covering it up, we are inclined to believe that Father Groeschel meant what he said – until he realized that he was verbalizing his private thoughts and then scrambled to issue the “apology”. Good luck putting that cat ‘back in the bag’…

From Yahoo News: The interview, billed as a reflection on the 25 years since Groeschel founded the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal order, covered many topics, but Groeschel’s comments on child sexual abuse brought it national attention.

“A lot of the cases, the youngster — 14, 16, 18 — is the seducer”, says Father Groeschel. “And I’m inclined to think, on their first offense, they should not go to jail because their intention was not committing a crime.”

“Well, it’s not so hard to see. A kid looking for a father and didn’t have his own — and they won’t be planning to get into heavy-duty sex, but almost romantic, embracing, kissing, perhaps sleeping, but not having intercourse or anything like that. I’s an understandable thing, and you know where you find it, among other clergy or important people; you look at teachers, attorneys, judges, social workers,” Groeschel was quoted as saying.

Quotes from the interview remained posted on websites including the National Catholic Reporter, the Huffington Post, and the Catholic blog Renew America, all of which criticized Groeschel for the remarks.

Tom Roberts of the National Catholic Reporter called the comments “particularly disturbing” because of Groeschel’s background in psychology. He received a Ph.D. in psychology from Columbia University.

“(The comments) cannot stand unchallenged,” Roberts wrote. Groeschel could not be reached for comment. Representatives for the National Catholic Register and EWTN did not immediately return calls for comment.

Groeschel had also commented on recently-convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State coach convicted of abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period.

Defends Jerry Sandusky

“Here’s this poor guy — Sandusky — it went on for years. Interesting: Why didn’t anyone say anything? Apparently, a number of kids knew about it and didn’t break the ice. Well, you know, until recent years, people did not register in their minds that it was a crime. It was a moral failure, scandalous; but they didn’t think of it in terms of legal things,” Groeschel said.

He also said that he did not think priests or lay people should go to jail based on a first offense of sexual behavior with young children.

“At this point, (when) any priest, any clergyman, any social worker, any teacher, any responsible person in society would become involved in a single sexual act — not necessarily intercourse — they’re done. And I’m inclined to think, on their first offense, they should not go to jail because their intention was not committing a crime.”

Priest issues apology

The Rev. Benedict Groeschel, 79, who hosts a weekly show on the Catholic television network EWTN, originally made the comments in an interview with the National Catholic Register. He also referred to convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky as a “poor guy.”

“People have this picture in their minds of a person planning to — a psychopath. But that’s not the case. Suppose you have a man having a nervous breakdown, and a youngster comes after him. A lot of the cases, the youngster — 14, 16, 18 — is the seducer,” Groeschel was quoted as saying in the interview, which is no longer available on the paper’s website.

The interview has now been replaced by a statement from Fr. Benedict:

“I apologize for my comments,” it said. “I did not intend to blame the victim. A priest (or anyone else) who abuses a minor is always wrong and is always responsible. My mind and my way of expressing myself are not as clear as they used to be. I have spent my life trying to help others the best that I could. I deeply regret any harm I have caused to anyone.” source – Yahoo News/GMA

With The World Distracted From COVID-19 Hysteria, Convicted Catholic Child Molester Cardinal George Pell Released From Prison As Pope Celebrates

The Vatican rejoices after court overturns the conviction of Cardinal George Pell on charges of sexually assaulting minors, enabling him to leave prison.

The Vatican responded in a measured way to the decision by Australia’s High Court on April 7 to overturn the conviction of Cardinal George Pell on charges of sexually assaulting minors, enabling him to leave prison.

Pope Francis is a remarkably evil man, and his wickedness seemingly knows no bounds. We have told you here on NTEB how Pope Francis has repeatedly refused to stop pedophile priests from molesting young boys and girls, even going so far as to cover it up and then lie about it. He even told a man named Juan Carlos Cruz, who was raped in Chile by Roman Catholic priest Fernando Karadima, that is was “ok to be gay” after being repeatedly assaulted by a homosexual pedophile priest. This is the level at the bottom of the gutter that Pope Francis feels most at home in.

Now do you see why the hosts of Heaven REJOICE when God destroys the Vatican and the Roman Catholic Whore of Babylon in the Tribulation? Heaven rejoices because Rome in every form has always been the enemy of God and God’s blood-bought people. Amen.

“And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.” Revelation 18 (KJB)

Now that you’re up to speed, let’s look at today’s most-recent Vatican abomination. Last year, Cardinal George Pell was arrested, tried by a jury of his peers, convicted and sent to prison for sexually molesting two young boys. Pope Francis was, in spite of the clear evidence, Pell’s biggest defender. Remember, this was no small matter, Cardinal George Pell was the third highest-ranking member of the Vatican! Did you really think the Great Whore would allow him to stay in prison? Nope.

Pope Francis has recalled the “persecution that Jesus suffered” and has prayed for those who suffer “unjust sentences” hours after Australia’s highest court acquitted cardinal George Pell of child sexual abuse. READ MORE

While all the world has been fatally distracted in a COVID-19 frenzy, an Australian court quietly overturned his rightful conviction, acquitted him and set him free. How did Pope Francis respond? By comparing the imprisoning of convicted Roman Catholic child molester Cardinal George Pell to the ‘sufferings of Jesus’. That’s all I can write on this subject for now, as the vomit is backing up in my throat and I need to go spit and rinse. But before I go, let me say this. As someone who was molested sexually as a small child by a pedophile man, I understand a little of what that pain is all about, and how it stays with you for the rest of your life.

My heart breaks for everyone who has been assaulted in that way. But to look at Pope Francis, and know how he covers for pedophile priests, works to keep justice from being served, and then rejoices when they are set free because of political favors and pressures, that to me, is Antichrist in the flesh. Now, I really need to go rinse off from this story.

Vatican responds with measure to Cardinal Pell’s acquittal and release from prison

FROM AMERICAN MAGAZINE: In a statement issued in English, Italian and Spanish shortly after midday in Rome, the Vatican press office said:

The Holy See, which has always expressed confidence in the Australian judicial authority, welcomes the High Court’s unanimous decision concerning Cardinal George Pell, acquitting him of the accusations of abuse of minors and overturning his sentence. Entrusting his case to the court’s justice, Cardinal Pell has always maintained his innocence and has waited for the truth to be ascertained. At the same time, the Holy See reaffirms its commitment to preventing and pursuing all cases of abuse against minors.

The statement closely mirrored earlier statements in March 2019, when the cardinal was condemned and sentenced to six years in prison, and in August 2019, when the Victoria Court of Appeal rejected his appeal against the conviction. It reaffirmed its confidence in the Australian justice system, welcomed “the unanimous” decision of the High Court to acquit the cardinal and overturn his conviction and, significantly, reaffirmed “its commitment to preventing and pursuing all cases of abuse against minors.”

The Vatican statement made no reference to the investigation into the allegations of abuse against Cardinal Pell, which the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith opened following the conviction and sentencing of the cardinal in March 2019. The Vatican said then that its investigation would not go ahead until the judicial process in Australia had ended. Some sources in Rome think the Vatican inquiry may be terminated given the fact that the cardinal has spent over 400 days in solitary confinement on charges for which he has now been acquitted by the High Court.

Earlier that morning, in his introduction to Mass in the chapel of Santa Marta, the Vatican guesthouse where he lives, Pope Francis spoke about those who suffer “unjust sentences” in a comment that was interpreted by many in the Vatican as alluding to what had happened to Cardinal Pell, though the pope never mentioned his name. (He used the Italian expression “una sentenza per l’accanimento,” which could be translated as “a decision that is unjust due to hostile prejudice”).

Francis said, “In these days of Lent we have seen the persecution that Jesus suffered and how the doctors of the law went relentlessly against him, and he was judged ferociously, even though he was innocent.” He concluded with these words: “I would like to pray today for all those persons that suffer an unjust sentence out of rage.” In a tweet published later, the last three words were translated as “because someone had it in for them.”

WHO IS ‘MYSTERY,BABYLON FROM REVELATION 17? TAKE A WILD GUESS.

Cardinal George Pell, 78, was being held in Barwon prison in Geelong, a community 47 miles southwest of Melbourne, when he was informed by his lawyers of the High Court’s decision to overturn his conviction and acquit him. The seven judges, in a unanimous decision that overturned the cardinal’s convictions, commented, “There is a significant possibility that an innocent person has been convicted because the evidence did not establish guilt to the requisite standard of proof.”

Some two hours later, the cardinal was driven from the prison to a Carmelite convent in the Melbourne suburb of Kew, where, as could be seen in a video posted in various media, a religious sister welcomed him and led him inside. He is likely to stay at the convent for some time due to the travel restrictions imposed by Australian authorities because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Cardinal Pell issued a statement after his release in which he thanked everyone who had prayed for him and sent letters of support, as well as his family, his “team of advisers,” “friends and supporters here and overseas,” and especially his “legal team for their support.” READ MORE

In 2015, 60 Minutes presented damning new evidence against Pell. He has always argued his intervention on behalf of child abuse victims was innovative, independent and compassionate. But now, secret documents reveal it as a cynical smokescreen designed to protect the Catholic Church at all costs.

Roman Catholic Priest In Rhode Island Defiantly Says ‘Pedophilia Never Killed Anyone’ And That People Should Focus Instead On Stopping Abortion

Roman Catholic priest Reverend Richard Bucci sparks outrage for saying ‘pedophilia doesn’t kill anyone, abortion does’ after he banned 44 politicians from receiving communion because they are pro-choice.

One main reason why the Roman Catholic Church is unable to resolve the ongoing priest pedophilia scandals is because when you get right down to it, they really don’t think they did anything wrong. Allow me to explain. For decades now, when Roman Catholic priests have been caught engaging in pedophilia, they are not disciplined or punished, they are simply sent to another parish where they are not known and allowed to keep abusing little kids. All popes including Pope Francis have been covering up for this for many years now.

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelation 17:4,5 (KJB)

Here now we present to you, the Reverend Richard Bucci who evidently thinks that pedophilia is somewhat akin to acne, something unpleasant but not life-threatening, who said last week that “pedophilia never killed anyone, abortion is the real problem’. Yes, he actually said that. He couldn’t care less about children being forced to satisfy the oral and anal urges of pedophile priests, but is instead waging a campaign to “out” lawmakers who are pro-choice. Now you know why you always see Roman Catholic priests leading protests at abortion clinics but you never see them protesting pedophilia within their own ranks. They have no intention or desire to stop doing it, and will only stop when forced to which is pretty rare.

Roman Catholic Priest says ‘pedophilia doesn’t kill anyone’ but abortion does

FROM YAHOO NEWS: A priest in Rhode Island, Reverend Richard Bucci, made national headlines last week by banning lawmakers who supported the state’s abortion rights bill from receiving communion at his parish. Now, he is doubling down on that decision with a statement that’s sending shockwaves through social media.

The 72-year-old priest recently passed out fliers to parishioners listing the names of all 44 members of the legislature who voted for the Reproductive Privacy Act, which was signed into law last spring. The flier stated that those individuals would also be banned from acting as witnesses to marriage, serving as godparents, and performing readings at weddings and funerals, citing “2,000 years” of Catholic teachings.

Then, in an interview Sunday, Bucci’s rhetoric went further.

“Pedophilia doesn’t kill anyone and this does,” he told local station WJAR, claiming that more children have been killed by abortion than have been abused.

This statement didn’t sit well with State Representative Carol Hagan McEntee, a Democrat who championed Rhode Island’s law to extend the statute of limitations for child sex abuse survivors.

“When he says that pedophilia doesn’t kill people, well, he clearly doesn’t understand,” she told CBS News. “He should’ve come to the statehouse and listened to the testimonies because there are lot of victims who are no longer with us. The injured voices that I heard — they’ve stolen their childhoods. They’ve practically destroyed their lives. And the ones we still hear from are the lucky ones because they’re the ones who are still alive; they didn’t die of an overdose or suicide. You know, there’s plenty of those that never made it long enough to come forward.”

Her colleague, State Representative Julie Casimiro, whose name was also published in the flier, agrees.

“The Catholic Church needs to take a look at themselves and ask why they are closing churches and losing worshipers,” Casimiro wrote in a statement to CBS News. “Could it be because Fr. Bucci’s most recent statement was that ‘no one has ever died from pedophilia?’ Fr. Bucci and the diocese need to take a look from within. They need to get their own house in order. The Pope should make a visit to Rhode Island!”

CBS News has reached out the Diocese of Providence for comment, but has not yet heard back.

In the immediate aftermath of distributing the flier, Bucci told the Providence Journal that local lawmakers were upset because their names and votes were made public: “If they are proud of what they have done, why do they want to keep it a secret?”

The issue, however, is not that the votes were made public. In fact, one Democratic state representative called that “laughable,” because their votes on every issue are already listed on the General Assembly’s website as soon as they are tallied. Rather, for some, it’s about the separation of church and state. They have a problem with the lack of respect for the separation of church and state, and for our votes on behalf of our constituents being punished by a church who protected child abusers.

For others, it has to do with the Catholic Church’s handling of its own pedophilia scandal and the hypocrisy they perceive in the discrepancy.

McEntee has had a long and fraught relationship with Sacred Heart Church in West Warwick, Rhode Island, where Bucci now presides. She and her older sister, Ann Hagan Web, attended Sacred Heart School from kindergarten through the eighth grade. And Ann alleges that she was repeatedly sexually molested by a priest there, who is now deceased, for approximately seven years, beginning when she was just 5 years old.

McEntee tells CBS News that she believes Bucci’s letter is less a response to the Reproductive Privacy Act than it is a reaction to her work with child sex abuse survivors.

“I just think it’s concerning that this is the church that is taking issue with this, out of all the churches in Rhode Island,” she told CBS News. “Personally, I feel this is a continued attack by him on me and my family because of what happened to my sister. And he’s come up with this latest way.”

Her colleague Julie Casimiro points to the time lag between the final vote on the bill last June and Father Bucci’s letter in January as proof of that point.

“Fr. Bucci would love to have you all think this is about the codification of Roe V Wade,” she wrote to CBS News. “If it was, why wasn’t the list published last year when we took the vote? Why did only a few lawmakers receive the mailing at home? This is retribution to the Hagen-McEntee family for shining the light on sexual assault within the Catholic Church and Sacred Heart, in particular.”

In a fiery Facebook post after the flier was made public, Casimiro went a step further, suggesting that the General Assembly should respond to Father Bucci’s list of lawmakers not welcome in his parish by posting “a list of pedophile priests not welcome at the State House. That is a much longer list.” READ MORE

Catholic Priest Bruce Ritter Founded Covenant House Youth ‘Safe House’ In New York Where The Young Boys He Housed Were Anything But Safe

Covenant House founder Father Bruce Ritter was a pedophile Catholic priest who created a safe house in order to give him a steady supply of homosexual boys.

Published

on

The Post’s front page on Dec. 12, 1989 shouted, “TIMES SQUARE PRIEST PROBED Former male prostitute cites ‘gifts.’” Based not on Kite’s word, but entirely on the facts of Morgenthau’s investigation, the story made no mention of sex with Ritter, except for one detail: Morgenthau had assigned the case to his Sex Crimes Unit.
NOW THE END BEGINS SHARE:

The fall of Covenant House founder Father Bruce Ritter was an omen of the sexual-abuse cases involving hundreds of Roman Catholic priests and tens of thousands of victims all over the world.

This story for me is personal. Multiple times during my Catholic high school days in the years between 1975-1979, Pedophile priest Bruce Ritter came to my school and recruited high school students for volunteer work at his Covenant House in nearby New York City. I was going to go, but something held me back from doing it, and now years later I can see exactly why. Bruce Ritter was using his Covenant House to supply himself with an endless stream of young boys that he dazzled with gifts and money in order to engage in sodomite activity.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” 2 Peter 2:1-3 (KJV)

When pedophile Catholic priest Bruce Ritter was operating back in the 70’s and 80’s, America and the rest of the world were nearly completely unaware and unprepared for the scandal that was getting ready to break.  But the Vatican was not unprepared, in fact, they used their global resources and endless mountains of money to cover it up so that no one would ever know what was going on. And for a time they were quite successful.

“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.” Revelation 18:1-6 (KJV)

The real scandal is not that the Roman Catholic Church is populated by a majority of homosexual priests, and the real scandal is not that they like to abuse young boys and occasionally some young girls. No, the real scandal is that the Vatican has always known about it, has always protected it, and has always lied about it in order that it could continue. That’s why you see current Pope Francis moving so slowly, reluctant to take any real action at all other than giving speeches about it. Francis doesn’t want to do anything about it because having homosexual priests who abuse young boys is official policy of the Roman Catholic Church, and has been for centuries. That’s the real scandal here, and there will be no justice until Revelation 18.

Since Ritter’s fall, predatory priests have since been found to have abused thousands of children and young men in New York, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Australia, Chile and Ireland.

FROM NY POST: For 18 years, Bruce Ritter was considered a hero for how he ran the charity he founded for wayward, homeless youths. Then, several young men claimed he had sexual relationships with them and illegally used nonprofit Covenant House funds to lavish them with money and gifts. He was given a slap on the wrist: Manhattan prosecutors made him quit, but did not charge him. Yet when Ritter was forced out in the winter of 1990, following a courageous exposé in The Post, few in the city could guess how widespread the problem was.

Pedophile Priests and the Coverup of Sexual Abuse by the Vatican and the Roman Catholic Church

VISIT THE NTEB ARCHIVE ON PEDOPHILE PRIESTS IN THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

When the Bruce Ritter scandal was first broken by The Post in 1989, priest sex-abuse stories were rare in the United States and unheard of in New York.

His story differed from today’s church cases in that “the secular powers more than the archdiocese or the Franciscans protected him,” says Charles M. Sennott, the former Post reporter who at age 26 broke the story of the district attorney’s probe in December 1989.

Sennott, who founded and runs the Boston-based journalism advocacy and educational GroundTruth Project, said, “The story didn’t get at the deeper truth of coverups going on in one diocese after another” — because Covenant House belonged not to a diocese, but to the Franciscan order, a worldwide community of Roman Catholic priests founded by St. Francis of Assisi in the 13th century.

But Ritter enjoyed a similar coverup for the same reasons that other charismatic clerics with cult-like followings do: unwillingness to blow the whistle on deviant priests who reel in money and garner political prestige under a veil of saintliness.

It took a young journalist to bring Ritter to heel, if not to justice. As Sennott related in his gripping 1992 book, “Broken Covenant,” it all started with an order from his boss to “pick up on six.”

Bruce Ritter founded Covenant House in 1972 as a small facility for homeless teens in the crime- and drug-ravaged East Village. But the strong-willed, intellectually brilliant and domineering priest eventually grew Covenant House into a charitable giant with 178 locations in the US, Canada, Mexico and Central America.

By 1979, its flagship shelter near Times Square was “emblazoned with a three-story symbol [of a dove in hand] painted in blue” flying above rooftops. Ritter’s belief in raising funds from private enterprise rather than from government made him seem the “perfect mix of free enterprise and compassion,” Sennott recalls.

President Ronald Reagan named Ritter one of America’s “unsung heroes” in his 1984 State of the Union Address. Covenant House subsequently more than tripled its annual budget from $27 million in 1985 to $90 million in 1989.

“He was a corporate St. Francis of Assisi,” Sennott said.

Ritter wielded the levers of power with an air of papal infallibility. In 1987, he outfoxed then-Mayor Ed Koch to take control of an old Greenwich Village union building that Koch wanted to use as a prison but where Ritter planned to house 800 homeless kids.

TV cameras focused on Bruce Ritter, then 62, standing next to First Lady Barbara Bush at President George H. W. Bush’s 1989 State of the Union Address. By that year, Covenant House’s board was a who’s who of financial and media clout.

It included captain of industry Peter Grace, financiers Teddy Forstmann and William Simon, Woman’s Day magazine editor-in-chief Ellen Levine and high executives of IBM, Chase Manhattan Bank and Bear Stearns.

But Ritter ran Covenant House virtually unchecked. Church officials and the organization’s insiders ignored years of buzz about his relationships with boys and a mysterious, secret “safe-house” program for certain youths who were Ritter’s favorites.

In October 1989, Post metropolitan editor John Cotter told Sennott to pick up a call. A former male prostitute named Kevin Lee Kite told Sennott about his long-term sexual relationship with Ritter. It wasn’t a crime — Kite was 25, although he claimed to be 19 — but Kite had much more to tell. In exchange for sex, Ritter had paid him off with a nice apartment, a computer, a college scholarship and money to buy good clothes and restaurant dinners — an illegal use of nonprofit Covenant House’s funds.

Sennott was raised in a traditional Catholic home in Boston and didn’t want to believe the worst about a saintly idol like Ritter. “It wasn’t easy for me,” Sennott recalled this week. “Cotter said to me, ‘What made you think it would be easy, pal? Welcome to journalism.’”

Days later, Kite showed Sennott paperwork to substantiate his claims, including receipts for the funds Covenant House lavished on him.

Kite told counselors at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Crime Victims that his liaisons with Ritter started when the priest met him years earlier in New Orleans and brought him to New York with the promise of leading him to a new life. But it turned out to be another form of prostitution, Kite learned: sex in exchange for money and goods. Ritter’s hypocrisy also infuriated him. While on a panel set up by US Attorney General Edwin Meese to “study” pornography, Ritter publicly warned that the genitalia on Michelangelo’s David sculpture could provoke dangerous sexual desires.

Kite’s next stop was the office of Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau. Morgenthau’s famed sex-case prosecutor, Linda Fairstein, gave him a tape recorder to catch Ritter discussing sex and money with him.

Prodded by Cotter, who warned the reporter, “I’ll kick your ass” if he got beat on the story, Sennott pursued the scoop. He learned from sources that the DA had put Kite into a “witness-aid program” for his protection.

On Dec. 6, a nervous but determined Sennott reached Ritter by phone. The priest denied all the allegations to Sennott and suggested he, Ritter, was being “set up” by “organized crime.”

Father Bruce Ritter died in obscurity at his farmhouse in Otsego County on Oct. 7, 1999. Covenant House survived under new leadership, and continues to serve homeless and runaway youth. Since Ritter’s fall, predatory priests have since been found to have abused thousands of children and young men in New York, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Australia, Chile and Ireland. The church has paid out billions of dollars in settlements — including $60 million by the New York Archdiocese in the past two years, The Post reported this month.

Now Italian Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò charges that Pope Francis has known since June 2013 that former Washington, DC, Archbishop Theodore McCarrick was a “serial predator” but covered for him until an investigation forced McCarrick out in June. The pope unsatisfyingly responded, “I will not say a single word on this.”

It’s a pity that the church didn’t learn from the lesson of Father Bruce Ritter — that the truth will come out eventually, even if it’s too late to erase the suffering. READ THE FULL STORY HERE

Now The End Begins is your front line defense against the rising tide of darkness in the last days before the Rapture of the Church

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 13,131 people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 151,781 followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 14,500 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13 (KJV)
