Here on Day 5 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, things are dramatically heating up as Putin order Kyiv to be hit with massive shelling, sending giant fireballs of explosion into the night sky. But when we remember that Day 5 of the Russian Invasion is really Day 714 Of 15 Days To Flatten the Curve, things begin to make more sense.

On the Podcast today, we explored these things and what we found was that Putin’s war is actually creating a mobilized Europe, specifically Germany who is now pledging to spend $113 billion on beefing up their war machine capabilities. Whether intentional or merely opportunistic, the moment is not being lost on the very same people who brought us World Wars 1 and 2 over the last century. What is happening on the surface and played out in the headlines is not what is happening behind the scenes down the rabbit hole. Europe is mobilizing, that’s the real story.

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Dramatic video filmed in the Ukrainian capital showed the moment that the night sky lit up with an enormous fire ball that reportedly stemmed from a military radar communication center. The new explosion took place hours after the Kremlin warned civilians to leave the city via a ‘safe route’ to the south-west, amid fears that the city was about to come under further heavy attack. Russia used similar tactics in Syrian cities while fighting alongside Basahar al-Assad before its forces heavily bombed them. Russian armour was working to surround Kyiv with tank manoeuvering to cut it off from the west, after attacks by advanced forces failed to penetrate the outskirts.
New satellite images also showed how a military convoy that stretched more than 17 miles (27km) was moving closer to the capital, a private U.S. company said. Private U.S. company Maxar Technologies Inc said the convoy on the eastern edge of Antonov airport contained hundreds of armoured vehicles, tanks, towed artillery and logistics support vehicles and continued to move south towards Kyiv. Colonel General Alexander Syrsky said early Monday that Kyiv had survived another night while inflicting ‘heavy losses’ on Russian attackers.
Earlier, Russia had appeared to use banned cluster munitions to indiscriminately shell civilian areas in Ukraine’s east that had stood up to Vladimir Putin’s invasion in what would constitute a war crime. Kharkiv, which has witnessed some of the heaviest fighting of the war so far, was hit by rockets fired from Russian positions on Monday – with video showing a shopping centre in the Serpnia area blanketed by explosions. A military source told MailOnline that the videos showed ‘cluster’ munitions had been used.
‘The BM-21 Grad is a multiple launch rocket system used for ‘area denial’, dropping cluster bombs on a concentrated area,’ the expert said. ‘It’s mainly used on enemy troops before an offensive. Used against civilians, it’s not only a war crime, but has only one purpose – to spread terror and alarm among the civilian population.’
Graphic images and video revealed streets littered with the bodies of dead and badly wounded civilians, with other images showing showing spent BM-21 Grad rocket cartridges laying in the streets and having fallen through apartment roofs.
Cluster munitions were also to destroy a school in Okhtyrka, activist group Amnesty said, in which three people including a child were killed. The attack ‘appears to have been carried out by Russian forces, which were operating nearby, and which have a record of using cluster munitions in populated areas,’ Amnesty said.
‘There is no possible justification for dropping cluster munitions in populated areas, let alone near a school,’ secretary Agnes Callamard added.
The blasts mark some of the most-serious attacks on civilians since the war began five days ago, and came despite Ukrainian and Russian delegations sitting down in Belarus for ‘peace talks’.
Ukraine said ahead of the negotiations that it is seeking a ceasefire and total withdrawal of all Russian forces from its country, with President Zelensky saying he was not hopeful of results but had to try. Moscow would not be drawn on what its ambitions are. Observers have warned that the talks could pre-sage an increase in violence, as Putin increasingly deploys heavy weaponry that was absent from early fighting in an attempt to force a victory that he has been unable to achieve by subtler means.
Putin himself dashed many hopes for the talks today when, in a call with Emmanuel Macron, he said that he is willing to negotiate with Ukraine – but on the basis that it is disarmed, ‘de-Nazified’, recognises Crimea as Russian soil and declares neutrality. Kyiv is highly unlikely to accept those terms. US intelligence believes around 75 per cent of Russian forces positioned on the borders with Ukraine are now inside the country.
Though Russian advanced forces have been fighting in Kyiv’s outskirts for several days, the bulk of Putin’s assault force is still located around 20 miles away having been slowed up by determined resistance fighters – with satellite images revealing a huge column of vehicles headed for the city. The cities of Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv were also bombed overnight, with air raid sirens sounding in other areas.
In the south, Russians reported capturing the port city of Berdiansk with troops and armoured vehicles shown rolling through the centre, and were closing in on the city of Mariupol which was in danger of becoming surrounded – though remained under Ukrainian control as of the early hours.
Speaking on Monday morning, President Volodymyr Zelensky called for Ukraine to be ‘immediately’ admitted to the EU – after the alliance stepped up to supply hundreds of million of dollars of military aid to Ukraine, a first in the bloc’s history – saying his country had ‘earned’ the right. He also said Russia’s attack had so-far killed 15 children, and wounded dozens more. U.N. human rights chief Michelle Bachelet says her office has confirmed that 102 civilians, including 7 children, have been killed, and 304 others injured in violence in Ukraine since Thursday, as she cautioned that the tally was likely a vast undercount. Emmanuel Macron Says He Is Now Ready To Send French Troops Into Ukraine If Russia Is Able To Break Through The Front Lines Which Is Quite Likely
Emmanuel Macron has said he would be prepared to send troops to Ukraine if Vladimir Putin’s forces break through the front lines, raising the risk of NATO forces clashing with Russia’s armies.
Emmanuel Macron has been talking tough lately, and if he is not careful he just may get the chance to see how tough France really is. The French military is pretty good as far as Europe goes, constantly ranked in the ‘Big Three’ along with the UK and Germany, but Russia is an anomaly as many leaders like Napoleon and Hitler found out the hard way. Fighting Russia through Ukraine as a proxy is one thing, fighting them head on will be quite another.

Russia right now is getting missiles from North Korea, drones from Iran, and a massive amount of technical assistance from China, forming an Axis-type alliance with these shadowy end times nations. Did you know that Vietnam was a proxy war? It sure was. Russia and China backed North Vietnam while the United States backed South Vietnam. Guess who won? It was not the United States who suffered more than 58,000 dead and then was forced to flee as Saigon fell. Proxy wars can have very substantial consequences as Emmanuel Macron may soon be finding out.
Macron vows to send TROOPS to Ukraine if Putin’s forces break through front lines and Zelensky asks for reinforcements
FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: In an interview published today, the French president said the issue of sending troops would ‘legitimately’ arise if Kyiv and president Volodymyr Zelensky made such a request. The Economist said Macron gave the interview after delivering a keynote speech last week where he declared that Europe is ‘mortal’ and could ‘die’ partly due to the threat posed by Russian aggression after its February 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
It also came as Russia claimed its forces had taken another town in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, with Moscow’s armies continuing to push against Kyiv’s defences. Russia is rushing to advance against struggling Ukrainian forces ahead of the long-awaited arrival of the bulk of US weapons to the front for Kyiv’s outgunned troops.
‘I’m not ruling anything out, because we are facing someone who is not ruling anything out,’ Macron said when asked if he stood by comments earlier this year not excluding the sending of Western troops that sent shockwaves around Europe.
Such a move would see NATO troops go head-to-head with those in the Russian army, dramatically increasing the risk of an escalation. What’s more, some analysts believe that Russia could be on the verge of launching a major new offensive in Ukraine.
Macron said ‘if Russia decided to go further, we will in any case all have to ask ourselves this question’ of sending troops, describing his refusal to rule out such a move as a ‘strategic wake-up call for my counterparts’.
He described Russia as ‘a power of regional destabilisation’ and ‘a threat to Europeans’ security’.
‘I have a clear strategic objective: Russia cannot win in Ukraine,’ Macron said. ‘If Russia wins in Ukraine, there will be no security in Europe,’ he warned.
‘Who can pretend that Russia will stop there? What security will there be for the other neighbouring countries, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Lithuania and the others?’
Under NATO’s Article 5, all members are obliged to defend others in the case of an armed attack. Should Russia directly attack a NATO member, then the US, the UK, France and Germany are among those who would be expected to respond. Emmanuel Macron Offers The EU A ‘Nuclear Umbrella’ Spread Out Over Europe With 300 French Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missiles As Russia Deterrent
French president Emmanuel Macron has suggested the submarine-launched nuclear warheads are fanned across the continent to create a ‘nuclear umbrella’ over Europe
Emmanuel Macron is in his second term as French president, and has just offered the entire weight of the nuclear arsenal of France to the European Union to create a massive ‘nuclear umbrella’ to protect EU nations from a Russian nuclear attack. Today Macron is the president of France, but soon he just may be the king of the world. No kidding.

If the European Union takes Macron up on his offer of all of France’s nuclear arsenal, guess what else comes with that? He does. Macron comes with that very generous offer, and it becomes the perfect tool to insert himself into a position whereby he gets closer and closer to ruling over all of Europe like Jupiter, just as he prophesied he would back in 2017. Emmanuel Macron is smart, very smart, and one day soon he is going to the leader of all Europe on his way to his 7-year appointment with his biblical destiny. Now that last part is just my opinion, mind you, but looks more and more likely as time goes on.
Europe planning new ‘nuclear umbrella’ with 300 French nuke missiles spread across continent for showdown with Russia
THE SUN US: Macron’s offer followed a German minister urging the UK and France to forge a “nuclear shield” to deter Russia. Leaders in Europe are worried about the ramifications of a possible Donald Trump win in the November presidential election. And nuclear threats are coming out of Russia thick and fast as Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine drags on.
Macron said he wanted to open up conversations about “missile defence, long-range weapons and nuclear weapons” across Europe. The French premier, who has been incredibly vocal about stepping up defence in the face of Putin, said we need a “credible European defence”.
The current US-led NATO alliance, he believes, does not offer enough protection.
France, he says, “is ready to contribute more to the defence of European soil,” independently from America, offering up the 300-ballistic and cruise missile store. But Russia’s nuclear stores dwarf their collective power, with the world’s most extensive and varied collection by a considerable amount. Even the US has fewer nukes.
Just this weekend, one of Putin’s state TV propaganda puppets issued a fresh nuclear threat against the West.
Dmitry Kiselyov warned: “If NATO countries deploy their forces to Ukraine in order to deal strategic defeat to Russia, then that very moment will come of which Putin has spoken. In that case, we’ll send everything flying everywhere! Sarmat, Yars and Avangard missiles. “American decision-making centres and launch sites on land and sea are already in our crosshairs. France, as a nuclear power, will have to be disarmed in an instant. The British isles will simply go underwater. We have the technologies for this.” By referring to “American decision-making centres and launch sites”, Kiselyov was referencing bases across Europe in allied countries. Just days ago Moscow warned that NATO’s nuclear weapons and facilities would be targeted if they are deployed in Poland.
Macron is suggesting France’s nuclear arsenal of submarine-launched ballistic missiles and air-launched cruise missiles are shared around the continent.
He urged: “French doctrine is that we can use nuclear arms when our vital interests are at stake … There is a European dimension in these vital interests. I am in favour of opening this debate, which must therefore include missile defence, long-range weapons and nuclear weapons for those who have them or who have American nuclear weapons on their soil. France will keep its specificity, but it is ready to contribute more to the defence of European soil.”
And last week he doubled down on a specifically European network of defence: “The European pillar of Nato that we are building is essential. But we should build a European defence framework.

Emmanuel Macron Releases Photo Of Himself Boxing To Signal That He Is ‘Ready For Battle’ Pitting Europe Against Russia In Solidarity With Ukraine
Intimate portraits of Emmanuel Macron boxing have been described as the ultimate show of ‘virility’ as he appears ‘ready for battle’ against Russia
French president Emmanuel Macron, who as you recall, is also the Co-Prince of Andorra, has just sent a message to Vladimir Putin about the Russia Ukraine War. Macron has signaled to Putin and indeed to all Europe, that he is ready to lead them into battle to defend Ukraine. He did this by releasing photos of himself aggressively punching a boxing heavy bag, taken by the official French presidential photographer, in a move some are saying shows Macron is ready for war.

These boxing photos of Emmanuel Macron by themselves amount to not much more than him indulging in his well-documented narcissistic tendencies. But taken in complete context with the very aggressive pro-war statements he has been making over the past month, now you have something. Not only is Macron on record as saying that ‘European troops should be prepared to fight against Russia in solidarity with Ukraine’, he went on to say that if Europe and the West would not fight for Russia, then they were ‘cowards’. These boxing photos of Macron are funny, funny in the same way that photos of ‘the funny little man with the mustache’ in Germany were funny, right up to the moment that the laughter stopped. Just remember that the last two World Wars started in Europe, spread to Russia, eventually pulling in the United States. WWI killed 20 million with another 20 million wounded, plastic surgery was invented as doctors struggled to deal with the horrific wounds they’d never seen before. WWII killed 55 million, 6 million of which were Jews. Is Macron about to plunge us into WWIII? It’s starting to seem like it.

Nice-Matin, a regional French daily newspaper, said the images conveyed a message of “ultimate virility” that brought to mind those of a bare-chested Vladimir Putin practising judo or riding a horse.
CNews said Mr Macron appeared “ready for battle, his gaze fixed on the punching bag as if determined to beat his opponents”.
“With his features drawn, his muscles bulging and his teeth clenched, the president looks like a real warrior. A situation that echoes the tense news of recent days,” it said.
That was a nod to Mr. Macron’s apparent shift from dove to hawk regarding his stance to the war in Ukraine, urging NATO not to rule out deploying troops on the ground.
“Perhaps at some point – I don’t want it and I won’t take the initiative – we will have to have ground operations…to counter the Russian forces,” he told Le Parisien over the weekend. READ MORE
