When is something “exceedingly rare?” When is something an “epidemic?” It seems the answer lies in how it fits your narrative, at least when it comes to The New York Times.

Liberals these days cannot seem to get enough abortion, they want it on demand, they want it up to the due date, and soon it will be after the due date. In the warped and permanently confused Liberal mind, 11,000 gun murders is a “raging epidemic”, while 10,489 late-term abortions where the baby feels everything is so ‘exceedingly rare’ that it doesn’t even need to be discussed they say. What did Margaret Sanger call them? Ah, that’s right, Planned Parenthood founder Sanger called them ‘weeds’.

Let’s not be shocked anymore about the people Adolf Hitler killed in the Nazi Holocaust if 2,362 US babies aborted each and every day in 2017 doesn’t raise an eyebrow. Gun violence? Don’t make me laugh, 450 people are killed daily in alcohol-related car crashes, are we banning cars or alcohol? What a strange thing it must be to have a Liberal mind where distortion is their only reality. FROM THE WESTERN JOURNAL: Take late-term abortions. In an article about how Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is “looking to energize social conservatives,” Sheryl Gay Stolberg pinned the “exceedingly rare” tag on two bills involving late-term abortions.

”Both bills put a spotlight on late-term abortions, which are exceedingly rare — the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said last year that abortions after 20 weeks accounted for 1.2 percent of abortions in 2016, the latest period studied,” Stolberg wrote in the Monday article.

As Ramesh Ponnuru pointed out at National Review, however, this number wasn’t as insignificant as Stolberg wants you to think it is.

“She cites a CDC estimate that abortion after 20 weeks accounted for 1.2 percent of abortions in 2016. There were 874,100 abortions in the U.S. that year; 1.2 percent would be 10,489,” Ponnuru wrote. “For comparison, the number of gun homicides in the U.S. that year was estimated to be about 11,000. Perhaps the Times should start calling them ‘exceedingly rare’ too?”

Funny he should mention that.

Two days after the San Bernardino mass shooting in 2015, The Times’ editorial board was pretty clear regarding how it felt about the number of gun deaths in America, declaring the time had come to “End the Gun Epidemic in America.”

The article was hyper-specific, too, in that the board felt a particular danger was posed by those evil “assault weapons,” an ill-defined category of rifles that look really minatory and hold a special appeal to mass shooters not because they’re particularly efficient at murder but because they get media coverage like this.

“It is a moral outrage and a national disgrace that civilians can legally purchase weapons designed specifically to kill people with brutal speed and efficiency,” the board wrote. “These are weapons of war, barely modified and deliberately marketed as tools of macho vigilantism and even insurrection. America’s elected leaders offer prayers for gun victims and then, callously and without fear of consequence, reject the most basic restrictions on weapons of mass killing, as they did on Thursday. They distract us with arguments about the word terrorism. Let’s be clear: These spree killings are all, in their own ways, acts of terrorism.”

In 2017, the year with the highest number of mass shooting deaths on record, 224 people were killed. In 2016, the year after San Bernardino, 374 people were murdered by rifles, certainly not all of them from those “weapons of mass killings” that are “deliberately marketed as tools of macho vigilantism and even insurrection.” READ MORE

US President Joe Biden said Wednesday that his administration will not support Israel or provide it with offensive weapons if it launches an operation against Hamas in populated parts of the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

Just about every war is ultimately pointless when you factor in the number of people who have to die to fight it, but that said, what is the point to waging war, any war, that is never completed? America waged a useless, brutal war in Vietnam for a decade that was never finished and certainly never won. But North Vietnamese don’t live on any border of the United States, Hamas is literally on top of the Jews in Israel.

Joe Biden is attempting to stand by the Jews while at the same time preventing his Far Left pro-Palestinian base from storming the White House in protest, a fate he will likely not avoid given the current hostile climate of antisemitism that’s sweeping the county at the moment. Joe Biden: The US won’t give Israel offensive weapons to attack in populated parts of Rafah

FROM THE TIMES OF ISRAEL: The interview marked Biden’s toughest public comments yet on the matter, as concern has grown in the administration that Israel is not planning to heed US warnings against a major offensive that the White House feels wouldn’t take into account the million-plus Palestinians sheltering in Gaza’s southernmost city.

“I’ve made it clear to Bibi (Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) and the war cabinet: They’re not going to get our support if they go into these population centers,” Biden told CNN.

The remarks also appeared to amount to a threat by Biden to make permanent the hold his administration placed last week on a transfer of 2,000- and 500-pound bombs to Israel over concerns that the IDF could use them in densely populated Rafah, as is has in other parts of Gaza.

Asked, “Have those bombs been used to kill civilians in Gaza,” Biden responded that they had. “Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs and other ways in which [Israel] goes after population centers,” he said, without elaborating on the strikes in which they were killed.

“I made it clear that if they go into Rafah… I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities, to deal with that problem,” Biden said.

He distinguished, though, between a potential full-on incursion into Rafah and the operation launched by the IDF earlier this week that was limited to the Rafah border crossing, but noted that “it’s causing problems with (bordering) Egypt.”

“But it’s just wrong. We’re not going to supply the weapons and artillery shells,” Biden asserted.

He clarified that the US will continue supplying Iron Dome missile interceptors and other defensive weapons to ensure that Israel can respond to attacks from adversaries across the region, such as last month’s massive missile and drone barrage from Iran.

“We’re not walking away from Israel’s security. We’re walking away from Israel’s ability to wage war in [populated] areas,” he said.

Asked if Israel has crossed his red line regarding its conduct in Gaza, Biden responded “Not yet,” but indicated Jerusalem was as close as it has ever come following last week’s weapons shipment holdup. Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders have said an offensive in Rafah is necessary to win the war against Hamas, which was triggered by the terror group’s October 7 onslaught. According to Israeli defense officials, four of Hamas’s six remaining battalions are in Rafah, along with members of the terror group’s leadership and a significant number of the hostages it abducted from Israel. After 114 years of being known as the Boy Scouts of America, the nation’s largest scouting organization is changing its name to the more inclusive and genderless Scouting America.

As a young child, nearly everyone in my family growing up was very much involved in the Boy Scouts. Me and all my brothers were Boy Scouts, having entered into the ranks as first Cub Scouts, then Webelos, and finally as an official Boy Scout. How exciting it all was! My father was a Boy Scout leader of Troop 38, and my mom was a Den Mother in Pack 38 for the Cub Scouts. Here in 2024, if you have any children involved in any area of organized scouting, pull them out as fast as you can and don’t look back. The whole thing is now the child recruiting arm for the LGBTQIA2SL++ Movement.

When I was a Boy Scout, this was the oath we would say at every meeting “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.” How on Earth can you do your ‘duty to God’ and be a part of an organization that mocks God to His face? How is it possible to take an oath to remain ‘morally straight’ when you are in a group that has become amoral? When Adolf Hitler formulated his long-range plan to take over Germany, he rightly understood that to capture a nation, you need first to capture a generation of children. He did this with the establishment of his Hitler Youth corps in 1920, almost an exact copy of the Boy Scouts. Scouting America, as it is now called, seeks to recruit a generation of children to serve in the end times army of Antichrist. Do not let your child be their victim.

Boy Scouts rebrands as the genderless Scouting America

FROM MICROSOFT START: The major rebrand, announced Tuesday, comes after years of turmoil for the organization, as well as major changes meant to stem the tide of declining membership. The new Scouting America name is also a reflection of the organization’s biggest change: the decision five years ago to welcome girls into its ranks at all levels.

Visitors to the Boy Scouts of America website Tuesday were greeted by a pop-up message explaining that the forthcoming name change was made to be more welcoming of the entire scouting community and would take effect Feb. 8, 2025.

“Though our name will be new, our mission remains unchanged: we are committed to teaching young people to be Prepared. For Life,” Roger A. Krone, president and chief executive of Scouting America, said in a statement Tuesday. “This will be a simple but very important evolution as we seek to ensure that everyone feels welcome in Scouting.”

For years, the Boy Scouts have faced pressure from progressive members and outside groups to be more accepting, not just of girls but of LGBTQ scouts and troop leaders. The Boy Scouts ended its longtime ban on openly gay Scouts in 2013 and its prohibition on gay troop leaders in 2015. Two years later, the organization announced that it would allow transgender boys in its ranks.

In 2020, the Boy Scouts were rocked by public revelations that more than 84,000 people alleged that they were sexually abused while in the Scouts, with some claims dating as far back as the 1960s. The Scouts reached an historic $850 million settlement with victims after declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the face of mounting legal claims. According to the Scouts 2023 annual report, the organization had more than 1 million children and young adults ages 5 to 20 enrolled in its membership programs. READ MORE
