Just a month ago, the Democrats had the much-touted ‘Blue Wave’ lined up and churning, about to provide a political nightmare to the Trump administration with ‘landslide wins’ in both the House and the Senate. The Republicans were unfocused and unenergized, and the future looked grim indeed.

Then a funny thing happened. In the stunning move of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, the Democrats decided that Trump’s Supreme Court justice pick Brett Kavanaugh must be stopped at all costs. No matter what it took, no matter what lies had to be told, and no matter who had to be hurt. They put all their eggs, the chicken that laid the eggs, and the farm that the chickens lived on, and put all that into one, big, fat basket and bet it all to win.

But they lost, and they lost hard. In relatively short order, the American people began to see that, while Christine Blasey Ford may indeed have been molested as a teen, the absence of even a single strand of evidence rendered her case against Kavanaugh moot. Other accusers have since come under FBI investigation for making false statements and for telling outright lies. The American people watched in horror as Liberal Democrats accosted senators in elevators, screaming obscenities, and did other incomprehensible acts to try and ‘stop Kavanaugh’.

The net effect of all this was that the GOP was jolted awake, with Sen, Lindsey Graham drawing a line in the sand with his instantly-classic open rebuke of the Democrats shenanigans that acted like a lightning rod for the rest of the party.

Graham, Grassley, and on up the ladder to President Trump all stood their ground and slowly the tide began to turn, the case against Brett Kavanaugh collapsed after a 7th FBI investigation, and just like that, the ‘Blue Wave’ dried up like water droplets on a car bumper in the hot sun.

Will Democrats Retake the House? Nate Silver Admits He Doesn’t Know What’s Going to Happen

FROM PJ MEDIA: A rare bit of candor from a top-line pollster, Nate Silver of Five Thirty Eight, who says “both outcomes” — Democratic takeover or Republican hold — are “extremely possible.”

The Hill:

“So in the House we have Democrats with about a 4 in 5 chance of winning,” Silver told ABC’s “This Week.”

However, he noted that “polls aren’t always right.”

“The range of outcomes in the House is really wide,” he explained. “Our range, which covers 80 percent of outcomes goes from, on the low end, about 15 Democratic pickups, all the way to low to mid 50s, 52 or 53.”

“Most of those are under 23, which is how many seats they would need to win to take the House,” he said.”

“But no one should be surprised if they only win 19 seats and no one should be surprised if they win 51 seats,” Silver added. “Those are both extremely possible, based on how accurate polls are in the real world.”

Silver sounds uneasy. That’s not good for a pollster. But as we enter the final hours of campaigning, we can say a few things with relative certainty.

1. There will be no “Blue Wave”

It was never that likely to begin with, but polling in recent weeks has shown consistent signs that Republicans are doing better than was previously believed, despite many disadvantages. Early voting numbers in key states have shown Republicans more than holding their own. And the Democrats’ hoped-for turnout — while higher than history would suggest — is not approaching numbers that would allow them to flip a lot of safe Republican seats.

The Senate is out of reach, with Republicans poised to gain at least 1-2 seats.

 2. The Democrats have mostly failed in making Trump the issue

While the president remains unpopular, the Democrats’ efforts to nationalize the election by making Trump the issue are not working in most of the 25 Clinton-supporting red state districts they need to retake the House. It may be a different story in GOP districts in blue states. These are mostly suburban districts that have historically been Republican strongholds but are now slipping away thanks to demographic changes. Control of the House may come down to a handful of these suburban contests in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

3. Forget the predictions from pollsters

For a pollster like Nate Silver to say “polls aren’t always right” is to admit to the turmoil that is roiling the polling industry. Pollsters have always had differences in figuring out things like turnout and the definition of “likely voters.” But the industry’s problems today are based on the simple idea that few people want to talk to them:

In the wake of so many blunders, much attention has been focused on the  increasing unreliability of traditional polling techniques. Pollsters have been hurt in particular by the near-ubiquity of cellphones — which by law may not be called using automatic dialers — and Americans’ growing unwillingness to answer poll questions. According to the Pew Research Center, 36 percent of people would answer telephone surveys in 1997; today,  just 9 percent will.

But as Karlyn Bowman, a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, points out in a penetrating new essay for National Affairs, the problems with modern polling aren’t caused solely by these external pressures. “Other, more subtle changes reveal a chasm between pollsters and the public they observe, posing a threat to the credibility and usefulness of polls,” she writes.

Pollsters are supposed to be able to ferret out a respondent’s “true feelings” when answering a question. There are a variety of tried and true techniques that are supposed to filter out voters’ responses based on what they think the pollster wants to hear.

Do they work anymore? I’m not so sure. Recent results would suggest they don’t. The point is, when a candidate showed a 10-point lead at this point in an election a decade ago, we could be fairly certain that candidate would win. I think pollsters today are a lot less confident in predicting the outcome of an election when a candidate holds that kind of lead. READ MORE

Is Iran getting ready to launch a nuclear missile on Tel Aviv in retaliation for Israel’s attack on Tehran?

Iran’s latest social media post showing a missile obliterating Tel Aviv is not just another piece of propaganda—it is a chilling glimpse into the mindset of a regime that openly dreams of wiping Israel off the map. When a nation posts imagery of a nuclear-style strike against a civilian city, it is sending a message that goes far beyond rhetoric. It is psychological warfare, intimidation, and a declaration that they see the destruction of Israel not as a tragedy, but as a victory.

Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that if war escalates they will strike “the heart of Tel Aviv,” a threat that has been echoed in propaganda banners and social media messaging tied to the regime. In the current conflict, Iran has already launched missile barrages toward Israeli cities after strikes on Iranian territory, pushing the Middle East closer to a direct regional war than at any point in decades. The Middle East stands right now on the brink of a war that no one but Trump and Hegseth wants but likely can’t be stopped if things continue to escalate much further.

Iran threatens to nuke Israel with chilling image showing missile obliterating Tel Aviv

FROM THE UK EXPRESS: Iran has shared a chilling image of a nuclear missile striking an Israeli city, which appears to be Tel Aviv. In a post on X, the account previously belonging to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that “Khorramshahr is ahead”, in reference to the ballistic missile named after the Iranian city.

Included in the post was also a striking image of the missile being developed underground, fired from a mobile launcher, and hitting what appears to be the Israeli city. In another post, the account promised consequences, “by God’s grace”, for “the Zionist regime”.

It said: “The Zionist regime has made a big mistake, and its consequences will make the regime desperate, by God’s grace.”

The city depicted in the image appears to be Tel Aviv, with an Israeli flag and coastal skyline visible. This comes after Tehran launched an overnight attack of cluster bombs targeting Tel Aviv, which were seen in shocking videos flying through the air before crashing into the ground. Huge blazes erupt as they smash into their targets, with witnesses watching on and filming the explosions. The cluster bombs open up as they zero in on their targets, sending around twenty smaller munitions flying out in a radius of roughly five miles. Each of the smaller missiles carries around 2.5kg of explosives, potentially causing huge damage.

Israel also inflicted the worst night of bombing on Tehran since the war began last weekend, launching a “broad-scale wave of strikes” aimed at wiping out the Islamic regime. The intense bombardment on Friday morning saw explosions ringing out across the city, and plumes of smoke and fire lighting up the sky. Residents said their homes shook and they were left without internet and power, plunging them into darkness. A man in his 30s told the BBC: “The house was shaking for five minutes straight. Trump and Vance promised us no new wars, and they’ve broken that promise in a spectacular end times assault on Iran and the Middle East

During the 2024 campaign, Donald Trump and JD Vance hammered a message that electrified millions of voters weary of endless Middle East entanglements: no new wars. It became a centerpiece of the America First pitch. After decades of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria, the promise sounded like a breath of fresh air. Trump’s MAGA and QAnon followers went for it hook, line and sinker. But today, with the outbreak of what’s shaping up into a substantial war involving Iran, that campaign slogan is colliding head-on with reality.

“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.” Psalm 118:9 (KJB)

Trump and Vance told voters they would keep America out of new conflicts. Yet now the United States finds itself engaged in direct military confrontation with one of the most volatile regimes in the Middle East. Whether supporters try to frame it as a “limited operation” or critics call it a full-scale war, one thing is undeniable — the promise of “no new wars” has evaporated. This is not about partisan politics. This is about a biblical truth that Christians should have learned long ago: never put your trust in political leaders. They will let you down every time. Trump and Vance promised restraint. Now there is war with Iran. Why does this happen? Because no political leader — no matter how strong, how popular, or how sincere — has the power to override the prophetic course that God has already set for this world. Jesus Christ told us plainly what the last days would look like.

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Matthew 24:6,7 (KJB)

That means no campaign slogan, no peace initiative, and no political movement can stop the trajectory of the last days. The closer we get to the end of the Church Age, the more unstable the world becomes — especially in the Middle East. And that brings us directly to Iran. From a prophetic standpoint, the Middle East will remain a powder keg because Israel sits at the center of God’s prophetic program. The Bible says that Jerusalem will become the focal point of global tension.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday ordered France’s nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to move from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean to help protect allied assets during the war in the Middle East. Macron said the Charles de Gaulle carrier will be escorted by frigates and its air wing. In a prerecorded speech on French TV, Macron added that Rafale fighter jets, air-defense systems and airborne radar systems have been deployed over the past few hours in the Middle East. Trump may not be calling it a war, but it looks like everybody else is.

Vance promised one thing during the 2024 presidential campaign, it was that America would not enter into a war with Iran of the kind that is currently raging. “America doesn’t have to constantly police every region of the world,” Vance told the comedian Tim Dillon on his podcast. He continued: “Our interest, I think very much, is in not going to war with Iran. It would be a huge distraction of resources. It would be massively expensive to our country.” In another podcast interview, with Shawn Ryan, in September 2024, Vance even said that a war between Israel and Iran was in fact “the most likely and most dangerous scenario” for provoking World War III.

These arguments look farcical now that President Trump has chosen—months after bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities and pronouncing its enrichment efforts “completely and totally obliterated”—to join Israel in launching a war on the Islamic Republic. The ensuing conflagration now involves a dozen countries in the Middle East. Trump says that he will do “whatever it takes” militarily and that “wars can be fought ‘forever.’” Vance’s X account, normally hyperactive, went silent in the days after bombs began falling on Saturday morning. The vice president was not at Mar-a-Lago with Trump as he oversaw the attack. The administration instead released a photo of him running a secondary meeting at the White House, flanked by a can of Diet Mountain Dew and a sullen-looking Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence. The Miami Correctional Facility in Indiana needs King James and Spanish Bibles for their thousands of inmates and ICE detainees

The Miami Correctional Facility, situated near Bunker Hill, Indiana, on the grounds of the Grissom Joint Air Reserve Base, was established in 1998 as a state prison. This facility accommodates adult males and includes inmates with high, medium, and minimum-security classifications. Miami is the largest prison in Indiana, boasting a capacity to house 3,188 prisoners when at full occupancy, including ICE detainees. Man, oh man, if you’re looking for fertile ground to start planting the seeds of the gospel, this is it.

“But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.” Matthew 13:8,9 (KJB)

Chaplain Blair writes: “Our incarcerated population is currently about 1000 listed as General Christian or Catholic.  We offer services each week lead by Chaplains and/or outside volunteers.  Offenders are able to attend multiple times per week and often request bibles for personal use. Our ICE detainee population is about 400 General Christian or Catholic.  Services are ran to match the incarcerated population (citizens legally incarcerated). We are a level 3 / level 4 prison, meaning we are classified as medium-high to high security.  Most of the population are between the ages of 20-40. All religious materials we as Chaplains can distribute must come from outside donations from organizations like yours.” Christian, can you get excited by all this? Here is our opportunity to send the preserved word of God into a facility filled to overflowing with Catholics, ICE detainees and Christian and non-Christian inmates.
