LET THE GAMES BEGIN: Reince Priebus Opens GOP Convention In Cleveland
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus welcomed delegates to the GOP Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

Republicans opened their convention to nominate Donald Trump for president on Monday as dissident delegates pursued one last chance to deny him and the nation reeled from yet another outburst of violence.
A day after a deadly ambush of police in Louisiana, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus welcomed delegates to the convention hall with a brief acknowledgement of the “troubling times” swirling outside. The chairman called for a moment of silence out of respect for “genuine heroes” in law enforcement.
“Our nation grieves when we see these awful killings,” he said.
Weeks of racial tensions and violence are shadowing the Republicans’ long-awaited showcase of their presidential pick and putting both participants and the convention city on alert.

True to form, Trump himself provided the first curveball of the week, announcing he will make an unexpected swing to the convention hall Monday night to introduce his wife, Melania, on the first night of speeches.
“I want to watch,” Trump said on Fox News. “It is going to be very exciting.”
This week will belong to Trump – his chance to stand at the pinnacle of American politics in a triumph that few could have imagined when the New York billionaire entered the race a year ago. He’ll take on Democrat Hillary Clinton in November.
The lineup of speakers is aimed at showing off the man behind the mogul, his advisers say. Several family members and friends are slated to speak to his character and reveal a side of Trump that Americans may not know.
Along with Melania Trump, Monday’s opening night speeches include a mix of figures linked broadly under the theme of “Make America Safe Again.” They include Sens. Joni Ernst of Iowa and Jeff Sessions of Alabama, as well as immigration advocates, a Marine who fought in the Benghazi attack and entertainers, including actor Scott Baio and Willie Robertson, star of Duck Dynasty.
However, the speakers highlight the wedge Trump’s candidacy has driven through the GOP. Many GOP leaders, party elders and rising stars have steered clear of Cleveland. Others have come to meet with donors and rank-and-file but have kept heir distance from the main event – essentially coming to the game but hanging out at the tailgate.
IN ANY RACE THAT HAS ONLY TWO CANDIDATES, REFUSING TO SUPPORT ONE OF THEM IS A DEFACTO ENDORSEMENT FOR THE OTHER, AND THIS IS EXACTLY HOW THE BUSH FAMILY IS PLANNING ON WORKING TO ELECT HILLARY CLINTON AS PRESIDENT.
New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez came to Cleveland but had no role on the program. When House Speaker Paul Ryan spoke to Wisconsin delegates Monday morning, he made no mention of Trump in his remarks. Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a vanquished Trump rival, planned several public appearances but wasn’t going to step inside the Quicken Loans Arena.
Top Trump adviser Paul Manafort called Kasich’s behavior “petulant” and he brushed off the absence of former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. “Certainly the Bush family, we would have liked to have had them. They’re part of the past. We’re dealing with the future.” “When we leave here, by and large, it’s going to be a united Republican Party,” he said.
That remained to be seen. Disaffected delegates continued to try to derail Trump. All delegates are due to vote Monday afternoon on the rules that will govern the convention week, and insurgent delegates are circulating a petition to force a state-by-state vote – a threat to disrupt floor proceedings even if it fails.
Some rebellious delegates are threatening to walk out.
“We won’t sit around and coronate a king,” said Colorado delegate Kendal Unruh, who like many insurgents has backed vanquished contender Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.
Trump’s campaign dismissed the effort.
“It’s not a movement,”Manafort said. “It’s some rogue, recalcitrant delegates.”
The roll call vote on the nomination is expected Tuesday, with Trump scheduled to close the convention with an acceptance speech late Thursday.
Trump is gaining the nomination during a summer of unsettling violence at home and abroad. In a matter of weeks, Americans have seen deadly police shootings, a shocking ambush of police in Texas and escalating racial tensions, not to mention a failed coup in Turkey and gruesome Bastille Day attack in Nice, France. The killing of three police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, early Sunday added to the sense of a nation on edge.
Trump has sought to capitalize on the mood by casting himself as the “law and order candidate” and blasting Democrats for weak leadership in a crisis.
On Monday, he quickly linked the shooter to “radical Islam,” despite early indications the man had no known ties to any extremist group. Former Marine Gavin Eugene Long “seems to be a member of that group also. It seems to be something going on there,” Trump said on Fox News.
Campaigning in Cincinnati on Monday afternoon, Democrat Clinton called for an end to the “madness,” saying that if elected she would use all her powers to hold those who kill police officers legally accountable.
“They represent the rule of law itself. If you take aim at that and at them, you take aim at all of us,” Clinton told civil rights activists at the annual convention of the NAACP. “There can be no justification, no looking the other way.”
Clinton’s campaign is spending about $1 million on TV ads in Ohio this week, according to Kantar Media’s campaign advertising tracker.
Several hundred Donald Trump supporters gathered Monday for the first major pro-Trump rally in the convention city.
A few openly carried guns as allowed under Ohio law. The president of the police union had asked Ohio Gov. John Kasich to suspend the law allowing gun owners to carry firearms in plain sight. But Kasich said he doesn’t have that authority. source

Ghislaine Maxwell Was Granted Immunity Testifying For Second Day As President Trump Floats Trial Balloon Of A Possible Pardon For Convicted Serial Sex Offender

Ghislaine Maxwell was granted ‘limited immunity’ at her meetings with the Department of Justice, ABC News reported on Friday, citing sources.
If you think you’re unhappy now with the way that President Donald Trump has been handling the Epstein files saga, just wait until he pardons Ghislaine Maxwell and lets her out of prison. What’s that you say, it’ll never happen? The first step has already taken place today, the DOJ granted Maxwell a ‘proffer immunity’ which means that nothing she says about anyone related to the Epstein files can ever be used against her. That, my friends, is Step #1 on her way to a presidential pardon. That’s the memo.
“There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.” Ezekiel 22:25 (KJB)
President Trump was asked just hours ago about the possibility of a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, and he said that while it was within his power to do it, it was “something I had not thought about”. Hmm, really? OK. Maxwell was questioned today for the second time, and she give up information ‘on 100 different people’ thanks to her being granted immunity. That’s a lot of potential game-changing evidence, is Bill Clinton thinking about possible exit strategies tonight?
Here’s a likely scenario for what might happen next: Trump gives Ghislaine Maxwell immunity, which he did, she testifies and gives up one ‘big fish’ and maybe two or three medium sized ones. Trump then grants her clemency for bringing (some of) the perpetrators to justice, she gets out of jail and Trump gets the Epstein files elephant off his back (maybe). One thing is for certain, Trump needs to do something to stop the Epstein files express train from derailing his remaining 3.5 years in office, and certainly he needs to do something to save the midterms. Yes, it’s that serious.
Ghislaine Maxwell limited immunity row: What Trump’s order means for Epstein files
FROM THE HINDUSTAN TIMES: The publication added that the Jeffrey Epstein accomplice was questioned for about nine hours over two days. The immunity allowed Maxwell to freely answer Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche’s questions. Her answers will not be used against her in the future, the report stated. Ghislaine Maxwell was interviewed by the DOJ for over nine hours(AFP)
The proffer immunity is usually given to individuals prosecutors are seeking to cooperate with in a criminal case. Maxwell, who dated Epstein, has been convicted and sentenced for sex trafficking underage girls.
“There have been no asks and no promises,” Maxwell’s attorney, David Markus, told ABC News. He further added that she was asked about ‘maybe 100 different people’ during the interview and she answered every one of them.
This comes as Trump and Pam Bondi-led DOJ are facing backlash over the non-release of the infamous Jeffrey Epstein files. The administration previously said that there is no more evidence to be released. Trump’s executive order, signed July 24, directs the DOJ to facilitate state and local access to Epstein-related materials, including grand jury testimony, amid House Oversight Committee pressure.
The order might unlock new details on Epstein’s operations, with Maxwell’s testimony potentially implicating others, as suggested by her lawyer. On Friday, Trump again sought to put distance between himself and Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
“I have nothing to do with the guy,” Trump, whose past friendship with Epstein has received much media attention this week, told reporters ahead of a visit to Scotland. READ MORE
DOJ has second meeting with Ghislaine Maxwell
President Donald Trump is leaving open the possibility of granting clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell. For a second day, the Department of Justice questioned Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted sex trafficking co-conspirator. ABC’s Perry Russom has more on the hours-long meeting.

Longtime Trump Friend Ghislaine Maxwell To Speak With Justice Department Officials Today Where Many Are Saying She Will ‘Spill The Beans’ For A Plea Deal

Ghislaine Maxwell will attempt to make a deal with the Trump administration when government officials visit her in prison to speak about the Epstein files
One story that I am surprised that no one seems to be pursuing is the possibility that Donald Trump met his wife Melania through Jeffrey Epstein, as many of Epstein’s sex trafficking victims came from Eastern European countries like where Melania is also from. In photos at least, Melania seems super comfortable around Epstein and his procurer Ghislaine Maxwell, but I’m sure that’s just a wild coincidence. Speaking of Ghislaine Maxwell, she is scheduled to testify today before Justice Department officials today and to expected to ‘cut a deal’. That’s the memo.
“And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy.” Acts 23:13 (KJB)
Just what type of deal would Ghislaine be interested in cutting? I suppose one that might dramatically lessen her prison sentence, and by all accounts, she is ready to sing like a canary. The only question is, will she tell the truth as it exists, or the ‘truth’ to get out of prison? Donald Trump right now needs more a little help to make the Epstein files mess go away, and Ghislaine just might be able to provide that help. At a cost. Will we ever know the truth about the Epstein files? Hard to say, but with all the amazing effort on both the parts of the Democrats and Republicans to make this all go away, that doesn’t seem likely.
Epstein lawyer: Maxwell will try to make a deal with Trump
FROM THE TELEGRAPH UK: Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced he would meet the convicted sex offender in the “coming days” to find out if she has information about anyone who participated in Epstein’s sex crimes.
“She’s going to make a deal” with the Department of Justice (DoJ), Alan Dershowitz, the Harvard law professor who previously represented Epstein, said. “That’s the way things are done. They make deals with the Mafia, so I’m certain they are going to try to make a deal with her,” he told The New York Post.
Jeffrey Epstein was asked if he ‘ever engaged in any activities involving underage girls with Donald Trump’, and he invoked not only the 5th Amendment, but the 6th and 14th also. The DOJ said Trump is in the Epstein files. Easy to see why he has no interest in releasing them. pic.twitter.com/XdkfBDL9F7

Maxwell was subpoenaed by the House oversight committee on Wednesday to give a deposition from prison on August 11.
“The facts and circumstances surrounding both your and Mr Epstein’s cases have received immense public interest and scrutiny,” James Comer, chairman of the committee, wrote to Maxwell.
Mr Comer said the committee is seeking her testimony “to inform the consideration of potential legislative solutions to improve federal efforts to combat sex trafficking and reform the use of non-prosecution agreements and/or plea agreements in sex-crime investigations”.
President Donald Trump continues to battle the biggest challenge of his presidency, the fallout from his refusal to release all the information the US government has on Epstein. READ MORE

Barack Hussein Obama
President Trump Says Barack Obama Is Guilty Of ‘Sedition And Treason’ Against The United States And That ‘Papers Are Signed’ To Have Him Arrested

Former President Barack Obama’s office claims that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) report indicating senior officials in the Obama administration orchestrated the “Russia Collusion” hoax after President Donald Trump was elected, is “outrageous.”
President Trump in his efforts to make the Epstein files scandal go away has put himself in a very precarious position. He has accused former president Barack Obama of ‘sedition and treason’ against the government of the United States, has pronounced him to be guilty, saying “it’s time to go after people”.
“Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity.” Job 31:6 (KJB)
Here’s the problem with all that. If Trump, having pronounced Obama to be guilty of the highest crime possible against the nation, does not have him arrested nearly immediately, it will show that Trump is lying. Trump would then be guilty of libel for publishing false statements and slander for speaking false statements. If Trump does have Obama led away in handcuffs, it will ignite a firestorm not seen since the last civil war. On our Podcast yesterday, I called Trump’s bluff, and said he would never do that while at the same time allowing for the slightest possibility that he just might. Crazy is as crazy does. Obama today called Trump’s accusations “outrageous”, and said his claims are “without merit”. Having now successfully painted himself into the proverbial corner, Trump has to ‘put up or shut up’, and arrest Obama and try him, or be branded a liar. What do you think he’ll do?
Obama’s Office Responds to Trump’s Accusation of Treason: ‘Outrageous’
FROM BREITBART NEWS: Obama spokesman Patrick Rodenbush issued a statement challenging the report released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Friday, according to a screenshot from the Hill White House columnist Niall Stanage.
The ODNI report found “overwhelming evidence that demonstrates how, after President Trump won the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton, President Obama and his national security cabinet members manufactured and politicized intelligence to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump,” per a release from Gabbard’s office.
BREAKING NEWS: President Trump from the Oval Office has just declared that former president Barack Obama is guilty of treason. How long until he issues the order to arrest Obama? Because if he doesn’t, then he’s lying. What happens next should be interesting. pic.twitter.com/0pk5MfPkQO
— Now The End Begins (@NowTheEndBegins) July 22, 2025
Rodenbush heavily denied the allegations in the report:
- Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous and merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.
- Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio.
The statement comes hours after Trump declared Obama is “guilty.”
“He’s guilty. It’s not a question, you know, I like to say, ‘Let’s give it time.’ It’s there. He’s guilty… This was treason. This was every word you can think of. They tried to steal the election. They tried to obfuscate the election,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
Trump also emphasized that he did not pursue charges against twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2017 over her email scandal, but said after what has happened to him over the past decade, “it’s time to go after people.”
“You know, when we caught Hillary Clinton, I said, ‘You know what, let’s not… go too far here; It’s the ex-wife of a president.’ And I thought it was sort of terrible, and I let her off the hook. And I’m very happy I did,” Trump said. “…After what they did to me, and whether it’s right or wrong, it’s time to go after people. Obama’s been caught directly. So people say, ‘Oh, you know a group.’ It’s not a group, it’s Obama. His orders are on the paper. The papers are signed,” Trump added. READ MORE
