The Defeated Christian And Our Ultimate Victory In Jesus Christ

“The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:56-58 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: I did not write this article, my friend Jack Kinsella did. But it’s one of those that I sure do wish I had written. Way back when we first started NTEB, Jack’s site The Omega Letter was the very first established Christian site to put a link on so people could find us. I never got to meet Jack before he went Home, but I never forgot his kindness to me. I had gone to his site earlier this week and was reading this article again, and started thinking of how many Christian brothers and sisters I know who sometimes fit this mold. Like me. And you. As I was mulling over whether or not to do something with it, a really good friend of mine sent me the link and said “hey, you should do something with this article”. Funny how the Lord works like that. So thank you, Jack, for your ministry and for your kindness to me. One Day I’ll be able to say so in person.

You’ve all seen him. The defeated Christian. The guy who tries and tries, but after being saved for thirty years, he still hasn’t quit smoking. Instead, he hides his cigarettes before coming to church and won’t get too close when shaking your hand for fear you’ll smell the smoke on him.

Or the Christian who you know is saved, but he just can’t quite give up the bottle. Or the Christian who got saved, but doesn’t go to church, because he just doesn’t think he fits in with the rest of the crowd?

Or won’t go because he thinks that everybody at church is a big hypocrite? That defeated Christian who knows that even though he is saved, it just didn’t seem to ‘take’ like it seemed to with everybody else, so he’d just as soon not be reminded of it all the time by being around those to whom it did.

Especially since, if he were to mention it, somebody would point out it was either because of some unconfessed sin, or maybe he just wasn’t all that sincere when he first accepted Christ.

Why is it that some Christians get saved, and immediately become a new creature, where others get saved, and look remarkably like the old one?

Don’t tell me you don’t know somebody like that. Maybe you even ARE somebody like that. And it’s hard . . . so hard to keep trying and trying when it seems to come so easy to everybody else. It’s enough to make anybody give up.

I’m going to leave the usual beaten path, now, to address an issue that comes up fairly regularly in our forums. Those of you who have no besetting sin, no secret sin in your heart that only you and God (and the enemy) know of, go make yourself a nice cup of coffee. The rest isn’t for you.

Now, for the honest readers . . . Why does God deliver some people from booze, cigarettes, pot . . . fill in your besetting sin here _______?

The answer? I don’t know. Disappointed? Don’t be. Sometimes He just doesn’t. It doesn’t mean you aren’t a Christian. It doesn’t mean you aren’t saved. It doesn’t mean God has abandoned you. It only means you feel defeated. You still have that sin.

Now, how come you feel defeated? Is it your weakness? God’s? Haven’t you been to Him with this? How come its still an issue in your life? You KNOW God is real, so . . what’s WRONG WITH YOU?

Nothing.

Welcome to the Church of the Walking Wounded. That’s why so many people find fellowship on the internet they don’t find in church. No guilt. Nobody can see you sneaking that cigarette or that beer.

You come looking for God, and looking for that forgiveness you keep hearing about, but never find in church.

Instead, you learn that if you smoke, (or whatever) you are defiling the temple of the Holy Spirit and you must give that up first to find fellowship. Except you have been trying for years and just can’t quite make it.

You sit there in the pew, thinking about the cigarette you are going to have on the way home, and you feel ashamed, guilty. Why even go back to church? You hypocrite!

You are taught that God forgave you at the Cross, but now you are on your own. All these sins you now know about yourself are left for you to deal with on your own. Only NOW you know what they are.

So every time you sneak that cigarette, you feel guilty. “Fred got saved and within a week, he cut out smoking, he cut out drinking and he cut out cursing.”

(You think to yourself, “Sure. And for entertainment, Fred is now cutting out paper dolls in the Happy Home,” – but then there you go – you sinned again!)

Sin is the disease of the human race. No human being is exempt from it. The Apostle Paul, speaking of sin, said, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” 1 Timothy 1:15 (KJV)

Creative hyperbole? Or do you believe every Word of God is true?

The Apostle Paul was, according to God’s Word, chief among sinners. He must have had a difficult time being chief among sinners and chief among the Apostles, but that’s what the Bible says. It must have bothered him, like it bothers you. (Those not getting coffee right now) Knowing what is right, but succumbing to temptation to do the wrong thing. Over and over.

This is a very difficult subject – I am approaching it with much fear and trepidation. There will immediately be those who will jump on me for preaching a license to sin. I am not.

Before you jump on me, read it again first, please. I am quoting the Apostle Paul, not my opinion.

Paul writes, “For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.” Romans 7:14-15,17 (KJV)

Maybe Paul isn’t speaking to you, but he is playing MY theme song. “For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.” Romans 7:22,23 (KJV)

Does this sound to you like a guy who was having an easy time of it? Why didn’t he just do what the pastor tells you? “Just take it to the Lord and He’ll take care of it.”

Ever do that and then He didn’t? So you found some good reason why not, or instead just figured you weren’t worthy? Or maybe that He cared more about Fred the King of the Paper Dolls? Paul wrote of, “a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.” (2 Corinthians 12:7) Now, I’ve heard this verse exegeted many times.

To listen to the theories, Paul must have fallen into a thorn BUSH. I’ve heard Paul had a speech impediment, that it was his failing eyesight, that he was unattractive to look at, even one argument that he had halitosis!

What does the Bible say Paul’s thorn in the flesh was? Everybody looks for something specific to make sense of the verse. They are looking for some physical flaw that Paul thought would hamper his effectiveness for God. In so doing, they miss the forest for the trees.

The Apostle Paul, the ‘chief among sinners, specifically said that his thorn was a ‘messenger from Satan sent to ‘buffet’ him. Paul’s thorn was his SIN which kept him from being ‘exalted above all measure.’ “For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.” 2 Corinthians 12:8 (KJV)

Stay with me here and see the picture. Here’s poor Paul, knowing the task the Lord has set before him, knowing that he is ‘chief among sinners’ and knowing his weakness for whatever that sin might have been.

So he takes it to Jesus, (just like you did) sincerely expecting Him to handle it for him, just like the pastor told you He would for you.

“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (v.9)

The Bible says that we are sold unto sin. That it is our natural state. That the most unnatural thing a man could do is NOT sin. You are saved, you believe, yet you wrestle with your besetting sins.

Every time you whip one down, a new one crops up that you have to deal with. It’s a never-ending battle and you are losing. How can this be? How can you be sincere, be sincerely saved, and still battle with sins that don’t seem to bother other Christians?

There is only one logical answer. It is so simple you are going to immediately say, “I knew that.” But you probably really didn’t.

Jesus did it all. Really. ALL. The most simple of principles, yet most preaching is based on the deception that He didn’t. Instead, most are taught in principle, that Jesus got the ball rolling at the Cross, but now that you are saved, whether or not you fail or succeed in beating back your sin nature is up to you.

Therefore, when constantly confronted with your sin and how bad it is, it is much easier to give up and not go face the weekly confrontation. You believe you are defeated.

Rather than being free, you are in bondage to your guilt. How many people do you know who went to the altar call on Sunday who weren’t guilt-ridden by Wednesday? Salvation is either a gift of grace through faith or it is a product of faith plus good works.

Moses had faith and good works. So did Abraham. So did David. But without the Savior, they would be dead in their sins.

The bondage of sin to a Christian is the weight of the guilt of that sin that keeps him from seeking God’s face. Jesus set us free from the bondage of sin. Is this a license to sin? As Paul said, “God forbid.”

“All things”, Paul said, “are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.” (1 Corinthians 10:23) Interesting word, ‘expedient.’ It means, “Appropriate to a purpose.”

The reality is, we are humans. Even after we become new creatures in Christ, we co inhabit the castle of flesh with the old man.

You will have your battles, but your defeat only comes when you give up. Following Paul’s lamentations about his struggle with the flesh and the duality of man, Paul writes, beginning with Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

This verse also tends to get spiritualized out of context. I’ve heard it argued that if you sin, then you are walking after the flesh, rather than after the Spirit.

I put it to you: Did you ever, since you were saved, commit a sin and not care, not feel any responsibility before God? Well, then, Who are you walking after? The irresponsible flesh? Or the living Spirit?

It isn’t sin that defeats the Christian.

It isn’t that you still haven’t quit smoking, or whatever else it might be that you think is defeating you. Sin is what humans do. Forgive is what God does.

It is GUILT that keeps you defeated, and keeps you from the Throne. It keeps you from telling people about Jesus. It keeps you beaten down.

It is incumbent upon a Christian to try and live a more Christ-like life, but the dichotomy is that the Bible says it is impossible.

Even those of you now scandalized and convinced I am preaching libertine Christianity KNOW that you still have a sin problem. Whether it’s a big sin, a little sin, a habitual sin or an occasional sin, its still sin. Even as we sin, (and Scripture says we ALL do) we hate it, as Paul did. But we sin. As Paul did. Read Romans 7 again.

If we COULD live a sin-free life, then why was a Savior necessary? And what was Paul rambling on about when he talked about the ‘good that he would’ and so forth?

If there were a formula that involved accepting Christ and THEN living a sinless life, then why did He need to go to the Cross at all?

Why not just make the revised Ten Commandments read, ‘Accept Christ and don’t sin” and THEN you can go to heaven? The answer is obvious. Nobody would be there. We are living in the last days. There is no time to bandage the walking wounded, the battle has been joined. Every soldier is desperately needed on the line.

A soldier on the line does his best, and that is all anyone can ask. Especially the One Who really KNOWS that you are doing the best you can. And He not only understands, He made you to a specific purpose, which is why all things were lawful to Paul, but not all things were expedient.

What may appear as defeat to you from your vantage point in the action may actually be a tactical victory somewhere else up the line. Only our General knows, and He says, ‘Trust Me’.

Take heart! Don’t let the fact you are a sinner steal your victory. The only prerequisite for being a Christian is that you must be a sinner first. God has a plan for your life, and He has somebody for you to talk to.

That appointment is so important to God that He has arranged your whole life until now — just so you would be available to keep it when that appointment comes due.

Will you be there to keep it? Or will you be licking your wounds in defeat off in a corner somewhere? We’re running out of time, and the enemy’s sole focus for your life is to keep you defeated and ineffective as the hours tick down to the Final Confrontation.

“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

The rest of you can come back from the kitchen now.

The Idea That We Are Now Living In Satan’s ‘Little Season’ From Revelation 20 Is Just Another End Times Smokescreen To Divert You From Bible Truth

Published

on

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

If we were in Satan’s ‘little season’ right now, King Jesus would be ruling on the throne in Jerusalem and Israel would be at peace

One of the ‘hot topics’ being debated on social media right now is the idea of whether or not we are living, right now, in the time of ‘Satan’s little season’ mentioned in the book of Revelation., which to me is quite puzzling. For even though we do not know when the Rapture of the Church will take place, everything that follows after is laid out in a manner as dependable as a bus or train schedule. Amillennialism is gaining in popularity right now, but as you’ll soon see, it’s just another end times smokescreen that is quickly and easily resolved in the dispensational look at and rightly dividing of scripture.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.” Revelation 20:2,3 (KJB)

Social media is filled with Roman Catholics, Calvinists, Amillennialists, Mormons, pre-wrath Rapturists, Christian Nationalists and many other types of “Bible authorities” yet the King James Bible believer is a relatively under-represented group which usually gets drowned out in all the noise. So let’s take a few minutes and look at what the Bible has to say about why it would be impossible for us to be, now, in the time of Satan’s ‘little season’ from the book of Revelation.

7 Reasons Why We Cannot Be In Satan’s ‘Little Season’ Right Now

I. The “little season” is after Satan is bound for a thousand years

The passage defines the order:

  • Satan is bound for 1,000 years
“And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,”

  • He is shut up and sealed so he cannot deceive the nations during that time
“And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”

So biblically, you cannot have “the little season” unless the 1,000-year binding happened first. Have we seen any of the time of Jacob’s trouble, the Mark of the Beast, the 144,000, the Two Witnesses, the Second Advent, the Battle of Armageddon and the sitting of King Jesus on the throne of David? No we have not, and appealing to “types and pictures” will not get the job done. So technically we could end this mini Bible Study right here as we have already proved our point beyond the shadow of any doubt, reasonable or otherwise.

II. The thousand-year period follows Christ’s return and the defeat of the Beast and False Prophet

Revelation 19 shows the end-of-tribulation war against Christ, and the Beast/False Prophet are judged:

  • “And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.”

  • “And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

  • “And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”

Then Revelation 20 moves to Satan being bound for the 1,000 years. Revelation show us that Satan is bound at the start of the Millennial Reign of King Jesus, rendering it impossible for Satan to be in his ‘little season’ right now.

III. If we were past the Millennium, Satan would have been sealed so he could not deceive the nations — but Scripture describes him operating now

During the thousand years, Satan is sealed “that he should deceive the nations no more”, thus ushering in a time period of perfect peace free from any and all satanic temptations. Yet in the present, in the Church Age, Scripture describes the devil actively working:

  • “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

  • “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:”

  • “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

  • “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”

That doesn’t read like a world that has already gone through a 1,000-year period where Satan was shut up, sealed, and unable to deceive the nations. For the past 6,000 years, Satan has had full reign over the “kingdoms of this world”, and remains active right now. The idea that we are in Satan’s ‘little season’ sounds like something Satan has put out there to confuse Bible deficient Christians and cause chaos and confusion.

IV. The Millennium includes a specific reign with Christ tied to the “first resurrection”

Revelation 20 describes thrones, martyrs, and reigning with Christ for the thousand years:

  • “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

  • “But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.”

  • “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

The ‘little season’ cannot be now unless all of that has already happened and completed.

V. Satan is loosed only when the thousand years are expired, then he is cast into the lake of fire

Here is the sequence for the ‘little season’ and its ending:

  • “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,”

  • “And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”

  • “And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.”

  • “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

Notice how Rev. 20:10 says the devil is cast into the lake of fire “where the beast and the false prophet are”—and Revelation 19:20 already told you when the Beast and False Prophet got there.

VI. Conclusion (plain Bible logic)

Biblically, “Satan’s little season” can’t be the present time, because it requires:

  1. Satan already bound and sealed for 1,000 years

  2. The thousand-year reign with Christ (with the “first resurrection” context) already completed

  3. Then Satan loosed after those 1,000 years expire

VII. The Coming Kingdom

Once the Thousand Year Reign of King Jesus starts, the rule of Jesus will never, ever come to an end as the Bible testifies to. At the end of the Thousand Years, John says that God will let Satan out of his chains, and allow him to deceive the world one last time. This ends with Satan’s ‘little season’ and the Battle of Gog and Magog, which is over almost before it starts. After this comes the Great White Throne Judgment, the casting of the Devil and all his followers from Hell into the Lake of Fire, and then the entire Earth will be burned up and remade in complete, Godly perfection.

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.” Revelation 20:11-13 (KJB)

If Jesus is, as the cults say, now “ruling invisibly” from Heaven, you’d be forced to admit He isn’t doing a very good job. Sin and darkness increase on the Earth on an hourly basis, wrongs are not righted most of the time, and the wicked oppress the innocent  day and night. False teachers and preachers make millions teaching lies, and the word of God is blasphemed every day of the week. That is the current state of the “kingdom”, over which the Devil is currently ruling. But hold on, the King is coming.

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.” Isaiah 2:2-5 (KJB)

No, when the King of Kings arrives, none of those things will happen for even a single second. And the Kingdom will not be the imaginary invisible one so loved by the Preterists, Amillennialists and Jehovah’s Witnesses. The kingdom of King Jesus will be right where the Bible says it will be, in Jerusalem, on the Earth. It will be a thousand years of perfect rule and perfect reign of the KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS Jesus Christ. Satan will be a footnote.

One Reason Why The NIV Bible Is So Popular With The LGBTQ ‘Christian’ Community Is Due To The Work And Influence Of Virginia Ramey Mollenkott

Published

on

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

Virginia Mollenkott played a minor role in the creation of the NIV ‘bible’, but her work had a major influence in leading astray the body of Christ

Virginia Ramey Mollenkott is the author or co-author of 13 books, including several on LGBTQ women and religion. She is a winner of the Lambda Literary Award and has published numerous essays on literary topics. But in the years covering 1970 to 1978, Mollenkott played a small but key role in the creation of the NIV ‘bible’, only to be ousted when her LGBTQ agenda became public knowledge.

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:” Romans 1:26 (KJB)

Now I know that some of the things we’re discussing here happened a while ago, but it’s important to see the incredible damage that people like Virginia Mollenkott have done to the body of Christ. When a person like Mollenkott publishes a book such as Omnigender, it sends shockwaves through the camp of Bible believers. Not because her teachings carry biblical weight, they don’t, but because they reveal the spiritual fault lines created when professing Christianity rejects the final authority of the King James Bible. This is not simply a social debate about gender. It is a full-scale spiritual battle over the authority of Scripture and the boundaries God Himself established from the beginning.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27 (KJB)

The Bible is not unclear, God made humanity in two genders, and He called His creation very good. But when the Bible is replaced with scholarship, human opinion, or cultural sensitivity, people begin to imagine there are “more than two genders,” and then demand that Scripture bow to their feelings.

Bible believers understand something the world has forgotten: You don’t correct the Bible, the Bible corrects you. Every movement that rejects God’s design always ends up rewriting God Himself. While Mollenkott did not translate the NIV, her peripheral role as a stylistic consultant exposes the worldly direction these modern translation committees were comfortable entertaining.

It raises the question:

Why was someone with her views welcomed anywhere near a Bible translation project?

Because the NIV — like all modern versions — is built on the premise that man can decide:

  • which manuscripts are trustworthy,
  • which words are “better,”
  • and how Scripture should read in the modern world.
  • That philosophy opens the door for cultural reinterpretation, feminist revisionism, and — eventually — gender fluidity. A tiny crack in the foundation becomes a doctrinal earthquake.

Virginia Mollenkott’s theology is not Christianity. and her gender ideology is not biblical truth. Her influence — however small — on modern versions only highlights why Bible believers refuse to abandon the preserved, perfect, inerrant King James Bible. The people on the NIV translation committee trusted credentials instead of doctrine, they prioritized “readability” over purity of Scripture. As a result, they opened the door to people like Virginia Mollenkott who did not hold the Bible as final authority.

The King James translators were:

  • doctrinally conservative
  • openly Christian
  • unafraid of biblical authority
  • accountable to the church
  • committed to preserving Scripture, not reinventing it

But the NIV’s translation philosophy (“dynamic equivalence”) welcomed:

  • scholars with questionable theology
  • modernists
  • feminists
  • liberals
  • and yes, eventually LGBTQ advocates

This is the fruit of mixing God’s Book with the world’s agenda, and it’s a deadly poison that continues to work to attack and degrade the authority of scripture today. Virginia Ramey Mollenkott may be all but forgotten, but her work of using the Bible to water down sin and sow confusion remains. If you want God’s preserved word, we got it, go get it.

Some Random Thoughts On The Goodness And Mercy Of God After Battling COVID-19 For The Past 7 Days

Dr. Ruckman used to say that if the Lord tarries, the only thing coming in this life are graves and hospital beds, and that’s a very true statement.

My COVID test took less than 20 seconds to provide my positive result as I watched it light up like a pinball machine last week. Immediately my mind raced back to the height of the pandemic in 2021 where we prayed for so many people on the NTEB prayer list who were deathly ill with COVID, many of whom went to the hospital, and the names of the people who didn’t come back. My street preacher Mark Bennet, he didn’t come home, neither did John Roth the man who sat behind me in church for over three years, or Ken Shiner who attended my daughter Kelsey’s wedding. They all died excruciatingly torturous deaths in medical comas with a tube down their throats.  Now it was my turn, “where to, Lord?”

“But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.” Psalm 52:8 (KJB)

For the first couple of days, I was overwhelmingly exhausted, sleeping 16 hours a day, no appetite, and throwing up every few hours. The stench of COVID permeating all my senses, with this mildly sweet though musky smell seeming to come off of everything. As it turned out, that smell was inside my own nose, and it kept me in a persistent low-level state of nauseousness. I had chills, endless sweating, shakes and terrible sleep. What a fragile thing our health can be, and how it all can turn on a dime. Most of my prayers have consisted of asking God to simply help me make it through the night.

I took a second test earlier, and this one too lit up positive in mere seconds, showing me perhaps another week of housebound helplessness. The idea of sitting in front of a mic and talking for hours about the Bible, something that gives me great joy and pleasure, now seems at the moment like a physical and mental impossibility. Even just writing this short article has been a drawn-out and laborious process taking place over many hours this afternoon. Through all this, random thoughts about the goodness of God in the midst of a time of sickness, misery and death pop in and out of my feverish brain.

God owes us nothing, and every moment we have on this earth is borrowed from His time clock, breathed with His air, and experienced through a beating heart that He set in motion the day we were born. What does God owe us? Nothing. What do we owe Him? Everything. He is worthy of our utmost effort to reach the lost with the gospel of the kingdom of God. Dr. Ruckman used to say that if the Lord tarries, the only thing coming in this life are graves and hospital beds, and that’s a very true statement. The question is, how to live your life in the meantime. The answer, I believe, is to live a life wholly given over to the things of the Lord Jesus Christ, a life lived for the furtherance of the gospel. That Book! Of all the risky things that make up this life, living for Jesus Christ is not risky at all, it’s a sure bet because He is worthy.

I covet your prayers for a full recovery, and not just for myself but we have many sick with COVID now at NTEB, as this end times gain-of-function horror continues. In my body, I am wiped out and depleted, but in my born again spirit I am chomping at the bit to get back in the game. Called to be soldiers, there is no quit, there is no retreat, there is only the battle. TO THE FIGHT!!!

Now The End Begins is your front line defense against the rising tide of darkness in the last Days before the Rapture of the Church

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. We have a Gospel Billboard program. We are now broadcasting Bible studies, Podcasts and a Sunday Service 5 times a week, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.

But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. The Lord has given us an open door with a tremendous ‘course’ for us to fulfill that will create an excellent experience at the Judgement Seat of Christ. Please pray for our efforts, and if the Lord leads you to donate, be as generous as possible. The war is REAL, the battle HOT and the time is SHORTTO THE FIGHT!!!
