Project South Africa is in need of Bibles and has reached out to us for help with getting God’s preserved word there in abundance

Do you remember a few months ago the incredible story of American church planting missionary Josh Sullivan who was kidnapped and held for ransom in South Africa? When the call to pray for his safe return went out across social media, millions of Christians held their breath and fervently prayed for his safe return. Amazingly and miraculously, the Lord did just that. Now that same collective of missionaries have reached out to us asking for help in putting King James Bibles in a container heading to Africa shortly.

“And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.” Acts 8:27-29 (KJB)

Today I received an email from Bro. Kevin Hall, he and Bro. Mark Coffey work with a group called Project South Africa, they help to plant churches and maintain a Bible college called Bay Baptist Bible College of Port Elizabeth in South Africa. Josh Sullivan teaches Bible in that school, and is part of this amazing team of people evangelizing South Africa. Bro. Kevin wrote to me and said “I spoke to you this morning about Bibles for our container being shipped to South Africa. Pastor Rick Spence of Dalton, GA gave me your contact info as you had supplied him with Bibles for jail ministry in North Georgia. Vision Baptist Missions is the mission board under which myself, and Mark Coffey work. Mark is the one organizing the container. A ministry called Directline Ministries is helping with the shipping of the container. Josh Sullivan is a fellow laborer in our city. We work together. He is a friend, fellow church planter and teaches in our shared Bible College.” So not only is the Lord having us supply virtually all the jails in North Georgia with Bibles, now it would seem He’d like us to send some to South Africa, as well.

The Lord sure is funny sometimes, isn’t He? One day we’re all praying for Josh Sullivan to be returned home safely, and the next those same people are reaching out to us asking for help with sending Bibles to South Africa. Depending on how much we raise, I’d like us to send a minimum of 1,000 Bibles (cost $3,590) up to perhaps 2,500 Bibles (cost $8,975). But we can’t do it without your help.

Bibles Behind Bars is helping to keep the end times supply lines open for jail and prison outreach in places like Dalton, Georgia

This week, we shipped out 500 King James Bibles and 3 NTEB Book Boxes to New Life Baptist Church up in Dalton, Georgia. Pastor Rick is very thankful that Bibles Behind Bars is helping them to keep the supply lines open. He wrote on Monday and said “Thank you for your quick response. We will be watching for the shipment. We sure will keep you posted when inmates are saved. Thank you again for being a blessing.” Amen brother, you are most welcome.

“To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.” Isaiah 42:7 (KJB)

In addition to all those Bibles, we have sent them 3 cases of our Book Box, totaling 108 copies of books like CPR Biblical Guide To Soulwinning, What Must I Do To Be Saved? and Justified Outlaw. Please pray for every one of those Bibles and every one of those books to touch the hearts and challenge the minds of the inmates who will be receiving them. Also, please for for all the church workers like Pastor Rick, Pastor Larry and all the others as they minister, preach and teach the word of God to them.

Christian, the battlefield that we serve on contends for the souls of men and women who are at their lowest point, and in a place where they feel there is no hope. We send them the greatest hope of all, the preserved living word of God almighty. Please pray for this outreach, we are reaching tens of thousands of inmates for the Lord, and hundreds of them have gotten saved with many more each month. Murray County Jail up in Georgia has an urgent need for King James Bibles and Christian literature for the hundreds of inmates they have there

Back in March of this year, we answered a Bible request from Chaplain Larry Styles at the Whitfield County Jail Ministry in Georgia, a group of retired volunteers who go into the jails on a regular basis and minister to the inmates with prayer, bible teaching, preaching, and of course giving them a copy of the preserved word of God. We sent them right around 500 King James Bibles, and now the need is growing in the North Georgia area, in fact it’s exploding, and the Lord is tapping us to answer the call!

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.“ John 15:8 (KJB)

Today I received an email from Pastor Rick at the New Life Baptist Church in Dalton, and he wrote to thank us for sending all those Bibles to Whitfield. Then he told me about the greater need that they have up there. He said this: “First of all I want to thank you for the KJV Bibles your graciously gave to the inmates. They are going out and we do see a results of the Word of God working in these men. Our Church provides good KJV Bible studies to the inmates along with your Bibles. Praise God we are seeing men saved and growing through the lessons and mainly God’s Word. We have another need I would like to share with you. There are 4 churches involved in the Jail ministry at the Murray County Jail, neighboring county to Whitfield. Our church is one of them.  Is it possible that we could get KJV Bibles for Murray County? It would be a tremendous blessing as we go in to preach if all the inmates had their own copy of God’s Word. Please let me know if this is something you could help us with. I am just now learning about your ministry and it thrills my heart to read the great things God is doing through you to reach those behind bars. May God richly bless you.” Fruit, more fruit and much fruit, it doesn’t get any better than that!
