Hundreds of souls have gotten saved in the state of Texas through the efforts of Bibles Behind Bars as we hold up the hands of the chaplains and preachers who minister in the jails and prisons

You many not know Brent Rogers, but for many years now, Bro. Brent has been reaching out to our Bibles Behind Bars program on a regular basis, asking for King James Bibles in English and in Spanish. He reached out to me the other day with a wonderful update on what God has been doing with the cases and cases of Bibles we have been sending.

“And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.” Acts 13:49 (KJB)

Bro. Brent writes: “These Bibles that you are sending to south Texas are going to a Preacher friend of mine named Art Sustaita whom I have known for almost 30 years. We both work for UPS here in the Rio Grande valley. I led brother Art to the Lord 6 years ago and he has not looked back ever since. His prison ministry has lasted 3 years and he has brought at least a couple hundred souls to the Lord. So yes, these Bibles are a blessing to those who receive them. Again Pastor, thank you and your staff for all that you do. Luv you guys! God bless you all!” Wow, what a blessing, praise the LORD!!

If you ask me just how many Bibles we’ve sent to Bro. Brent, I honestly couldn’t tell you because we’ve only recently started keeping a count, but I know it’s a lot of Bibles over a period of quite a few years now. And I know this. However many it is, and what it costs to continue to do that for them pales in comparison to a harvest a souls like what the LORD is giving us here. A good educated guess would place that number at right around 1,000 people who heard the gospel, got saved and were given a Bibles Behind Bars bible. Now we don’t physically go to these prisons in Texas and preach, but we sure support the ones God has called by giving them all the King James Bibles, New Testaments, gospel tracts, scripture portions and gospel literature they need. So when souls get saved as a result, all of us here at NTEB who pray for and financially support Bibles Behind Bars get a piece of that fruit at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Talk about some wild ‘deferred payment’, amen! Chaplain CF Hazelwood in Texas needs about 500 large print King James Bibles right now, as do three prisons here in the state of Florida. We need your help to meet that need.

When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world.
