Then he said, “Look at this bible. This is MY bible.” I will not let it out of my sight. I get to KEEP it.”

Alan and Kim Hardin are two people who have a passion to get the King James Bible into the hands of as many people as possible, and have worked tirelessly to get the word out about our Bibles Behind Bars and Free Bible Programs. They wrote to me today to tell me the incredible story of a homeless man named Dallas, who is very grateful that our Free Bible Program exists.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24 (KJB)

Kim writes and says “I was so blessed to be there when they brought Dallas into the Victory Life Ministry home last week. He shared he had been roaming the streets of Las Vegas for the last three years, lost and alone, not sure of where he would lay his head or even where his next meal would come from.”

After intake, the assistant home director Greg Hill, allowed Dallas to shower and eat a good meal. Next, Greg presented Dallas with one of your bibles.

Dallas spoke to me about what that meant to him: 

He stated he had two previous bibles that he had lost in his homeless journey. Then he said, “Look at this bible. This is MY bible.” I will not let it out of my sight. I get to KEEP it.” He told me that God speaks thru his word to him. He then said this Word is his shield and he read Revelation 3:10 to me, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”. He said he will cherish this bible because he so desperately needed it. He treated it like the rare and precious gift that it is and is so thankful to have it. He told me he was starting to read the Gospels, and that God is renewing his mind and heart through the reading and studying of his bible. He asked me to please tell you thank you. Chaplain B.J Crenshaw wrote to us today and said “You were very kind to send two cases of Bibles to East Alabama Medical Center (now East Alabama Health). The Chaplain Director is the only chaplain with full access to the Psychiatric Ward at both hospitals EAMC owns. Recently the Psych. Ward Director asked the Chaplain Director if she had any Bibles.  She replied, “yes, King James Bibles.”  The Psych Ward Director said, “good, that’s what they want.” The Chaplain Director then took 10 King James Bibles to them.” What a blessing!

Brothers and sisters, I hope these testimonies give you just a small idea of the incredible impact we are having in the lives of hurting people who desperately need a copy of God’s preserved word, and that we all are being used to bring that to fruition.
