Boy Scouts Of America To End Gay Ban Amid LGBT Pressure
Apr 19th
R.I.P. BSA
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” 2 Timothy 3:1
As a boy, I greatly enjoyed my time as a Boy Scout in Troop 38. I learned a lot about life and being prepared in emergencies. My dad was one of the Scout leaders. This news breaks my heart, knowing that the Boy Scouts will now become an open breeding ground for the LGBT agenda. Will I allow my son to become a Boy Scout? Not for a million dollars…
From NY Daily News: The Boy Scouts of America called to end a long-standing ban on openly gay members, a spokesman said on Friday, but the organization’s board must still vote in May on whether to ratify the resolution.

Well, Boy Scouts of America, you had a good run. Now take your place on the ash heap of history with all the other compromisers, liberals and Laodicean Christians.
If the vote is approved, “no youth may be denied membership in the Boy Scouts of America on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone,” Deron Smith, the organization’s spokesman, told Reuters.
Smith noted that the decision drew from three months of research, surveys and discussions and was “among the most complex and challenging issues facing the BSA and society today.”
The deliberations over whether to admit openly gay and lesbian members to the Boy Scouts has divided organizers, polarized its corporate and religious sponsors, and placed the group at the center of a nationwide debate over gay rights over the past two years.
“This is a historic change for the Boy Scouts,” said Patrick Boyle, whose 1994 book “Scout’s Honor” examined sexual abuse in the Boy Scouts of America.
“You have a more than hundred-year-old organization changing what it considered a fundamental belief just a decade ago. That says a lot about the Scouts and a lot about how far the gay rights movement has come in the United States.” source – NY Daily News
Rainbow-Stuffed Gay Pride Oreo Cookie Sparks Kraft Foods Boycott
Jun 26th
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” Romans 1:26,27
America’s favorite cookie is stirring up more than milk today after Kraft Foods posted a gay pride Oreo on the cookie’s Facebook page. Oreo posted the photoshopped picture of an Oreo cookie stuffed with rainbow-colored layers of frosting Monday evening with the caption “Proudly support love!”
Over the past 17 hours more than 157,000 people have “liked” the image, 40,000 people have shared it and 20,000 have commented on it.
But while many of the comments were supportive, some Facebook users pledged to boycott the cookie because of the post.
“I’ll never buy Oreo again,” one commenter wrote.
“Disgusted with oreos,” wrote another. “Being gay is an abmonitation in God’s eyes i wont be buying them anymore.”
Basil Maglaris, a spokeswoman for Oreo’s parent company Kraft Foods, said in a statement that the image was part of a “series of daily ads reflecting current events in a fun way using images of OREO cookies and milk.” Kraft is not planning to sell the rainbow-stuffed Oreo in stores, Maglaris said, as it was created solely for the advertising campaign in honor of Pride month.
“We are excited to illustrate what is making history today in a fun and playful way,” she said in an email to ABC News. “As a company, Kraft Foods has a proud history of celebrating diversity and inclusiveness. We feel the OREO ad is a fun reflection of our values.”
Other images in the Oreo ad campaign, which celebrates the cookie’s 100thbirthday, include a parody of the No. 1 hit song “Call Me Maybe,” depicting an Oreo and glass of milk next to tweaked lyrics.
“I just met you and this is crazy, but here’s some milk so dunk me maybe,” reads the ad, also posted to the Oreo Facebook wall.
Oreo is the latest in a string of juggernaut brands to show support for the LGBT community.
In honor of Pride month Target launched a line of gay pride t-shirts, and the proceeds went to support the Family Equality Council, a Washington D.C.-based gay rights advocacy group. The pride shirts sold out in less than a month.
Ben & Jerry’s, a longtime supporter of LGBT causes, renamed its apple pie flavor “Apple-y Ever After” in scoop shops throughout the U.K. in March, while the British government was debating legalizing same sex marriages.
The Vermont-based ice cream company re-vamped its peanut butter-filled pretzel flavor in 2009 when same sex marriage was being legalized in Vermont, swapping the “Chubby Hubby” name for “Hubby Hubby.” source – ABC News
DC Comics Relaunches Green Lantern As Gay Superhero

The original Green Lantern – a DC Comics mainstay for the past 70 years – will be revealed to be a gay man in next week’s issue of “Earth 2.” Alan Scott – formerly a married father of two who first appeared in 1940 – tips readers off to his sexuality early on in the comic when he gives his boyfriend a welcome home kiss.
“He’s very much the character he was. He’s still the pinnacle of bravery and idealism. He’s also gay,” “Earth 2″ writer James Robinson told The Post.
The Emerald Guardian’s sexuality was rebooted along with the rest of his fictional universe as part of DC’s “New 52″ initiative aimed at rejuvenating their characters.
Robinson said he decided to make the change because making the character young again meant erasing Scott’s gay superhero son out of existence.
“The only downside of his being young was we lose his son, Obsidian, who’s gay. So I thought, ‘Why not make Alan Scott gay?’” Robinson recalled. “That was the seed that started it.”
He ran his idea by the bosses at DC, “who signed off on it without hesitation.”
Robinson, a British writer who lives in San Francisco with his wife, is no stranger to gay characters – he wrote DC’s “Starman” comic in the 1990s, a groundbreaking title that starred a homosexual superhero. He said the only agenda he’s pushing is reality.
“It’s a realistic depiction of society,” he said. “You have to move with the times.”
He said he did hope the character – who’s the most powerful member of DC’s superteam, the Justice Society – would be an inspiration.
“He’s a type-A personality who doesn’t hide in the shadows,” Robinson said.
“I hope he’s a positive figure. If there’s some kind of kid out there who’s reading the comic and who’s worried about the person he is, maybe it will give him a positive sense of who he is. Or maybe a different kid will read it and decide I don’t need to bully some kind of kid in school,” Robinson said.
While a gay wedding in Archie Comics earlier this year and impending same-sex nuptials in a Marvel X-Men comic have recieved a small amount of backlash from angry parents, Robinson said he’s not worried about that because “that kind of negativity is stupid and outmoded.”
“We should be preaching love and tolerance,” he said.
“Earth 2″ No. 2 goes on sale Wednesday.
The character is different than the more modern Green Lantern, ladies’ man Hal Jordan, who stars in his own comics and is a member of an extraterrestrial police force called the Green Lantern Corps. Jordan’s also part of DC’s Justice League with Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, the Flash and Aquaman.
In the current “New 52″ continuity, the Alan Scott Green Lantern and the Justice Society operate in a different universe than the Justice League. Robinson said in the “Earth 2″ universe, Scott is the sole Green Lantern, and “the strongest, most important super-powered character” in the world. source – NY Post
Knockout! Boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao Rebukes Obama’s Support For Gay-Marriage
May 14th
Now fighting using the Sword of the Spirit
“Sanctify them by they truth: thy Word is truth.” (John 17:17)
Just as Saul’s life has been radically changed by Christ on that Damascus road, the pound per pound boxing champion of the world also clearly has encountered the Truth in God’s Word. Nothing is more important to him now more than the upholding of God’s Truth in His Word.

Manny Pacquiao, Christian Filipino boxer and congressman, has reportedly disagreed with President Barack Obama's support of redefining marriage to include same-sex couples, and has insisted people should always put God's word first.
Manny Pacquiao, Christian Filipino boxer and congressman, has reportedly disagreed with President Barack Obama‘s support of redefining marriage to include same-sex couples, and has insisted people should always put God’s word first.
After Obama vocalized that he was in support of gay marriage earlier this week, Pacquiao was adamant that the president had got it wrong. In an interview with the National Conservative Examiner while training in Los Angeles, Calif., Pacquiao spoke about the need for society to put “God’s words first.”
The boxer quoted Leviticus 20:13 when referring to the president’s decision to advocate for same-sex marriage.
“If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable,” Pacquiao told the Examiner. “They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”
However, Obama has attempted to explain his reasoning for supporting a redefinition of marriage, using the Golden Rule of loving your neighbor as justification for ignoring other verses condemning homosexuality in the Bible.
“Do unto others as you would have them do to you,” the president said in an ABC News report. “At a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married.”
Read the Bible, “The Manual of Life”
While the 33-year-old boxer said he respected Obama, he told the Examiner that the president should read the bible or “manual of life” to better society.
“God only expects man and woman to be together and to be legally married, only if they so are in love with each other,” Pacquiao said. “It should not be of the same sex so as to adulterate the altar of matrimony, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah of Old.” - Source – The Christian Post
Ben & Jerry’s Launches New Flavor in Support of Gay Marriage
Mar 20th
A longtime advocate for equal rights, Ben & Jerry’s UK has re-named its apple pie flavor “Apple-y Ever After” in support of gay marriage. This week, the UK government is set to decide whether to make gay marriage legal.
Available in select stores in the UK, the limited-edition carton features two men atop a rainbow-detailed white cake. The flavor features apple pie ice cream with apple chunks and pieces of pie crust.
The company has partnered with gay rights organization, Stonewall, and has launched a webpage as well as a Facebook fan page in support of its cause.
Facebook users have the option to “marry” on the page, along with the option to chose a partner and post your “marriage” on your Facebook feed as well as your photo.
This isn’t the first time Ben & Jerry’s has promoted marriage equality.
In 2009 the brand renamed the flavor “Chubby Hubby” to “Hubby Hubby” in response to gay marriage legislation in Vermont.
“Apple-y Ever After” follows the recent controversy over Ben & Jerry’s limited-edition “Taste the Linsanity” flavor, for which the company later issued an apology. source – Yahoo News/GMA
