The Importance Of Knowing Why God Raptured Out Enoch Before The Flood Of Noah Destroyed The Whole World

We see good old Enoch who gets raptured away to be with God in Heaven without ever dying. Want to take a wild, end times guess what that is a ‘type” of?

NOW THE END BEGINS SHARE:

So we see the gentile Enoch, preaching up a storm and warning the lost of coming judgement, have an amazing encounter with the God he was telling everyone about. The Bible tells us that, one day while witnessing, God simple caught him up off the face of the earth and translated him to the throne room of Heaven. What did Enoch miss when that happened?

God is His amazing word, places types in the Bible from cover to cover to illustrate some deeper meaning or to shed light on prophecy. For example, David was an actual king who ruled over Israel from Jerusalem, and he is also a type of Jesus Christ who will rule from Jerusalem at the Second Coming. Ruth was an actual woman, but she is also a type of the gospel going to the gentiles at a time yet future of the writing of the book of Ruth. Joseph was one of the 12 sons of Jacob, and he is also a type of Jesus Christ in over 150 different respects. So we see that God places types in the Bible to show us things that He wishes us to pay attention to.

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:37-39 (KJV)

In Matthew 24 and Luke 21, we have Jesus prophesying to his disciples of what would be coming far into the future, a period of time the Bible calls the time of Jacob’s trouble. Jesus says that this time will be unique in human history as it will be the time of the greatest and most intense tribulation that will ever befall this sin-cursed old world. The greatest period of tribulation ever seen in the Old Testament was, you guessed it, the Flood of Noah.

So let’s look at some quick bullet points to connect Matthew 24, Luke 17, Luke 21, Jude, the time of Jacob’s trouble, and of course, good old Enoch:

  • IT WILL BE A GLOBAL JUDGEMENT: The Flood of Noah was not isolated to any particular region, it was global and affected the entire world. So too the time of Jacob’s trouble, while its primary focus will be the judgment of the Jews and Israel, will affect every human being who will be alive at the time it starts after the Rapture of the Church. “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matthew 24:21 (KJV)
  • THE DAYS OF NOAH: Jesus is Matthew 24 draws a parallel to the ‘times of Noah’ (spelled as ‘noe’ because the New Testament is written in Greek) because the time of Jacob’s trouble is both global, and has a particular enemy in mind, namely Antichrist. The Flood of Noah was sent as a judgment of the wickedness of hybrid humans created when fallen angels mated with human women, with the Nephilim being the particular enemy. A lot of people, Christians, balk at the idea of fallen angels having sex with earthly women that created hybrid monsters, but guess what? It’s in there. “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.” Jude 1:6 (KJV)
  • THE DAYS OF LOT: Jesus compares it to Noah to show that it’s global, and that a particular enemy is in mind, and then He compares it to Lot for a variety of reason. First, the fiery judgment that falls on Sodom and Gomorrah is an ensample of the the fiery judgments that blanket the earth in the last half of the time of Jacob’s trouble. Second, Lot himself, fleeing to the mountains for safety, is a picture of the Jews that Jesus tells to also flee to the mountains in Matthew 24. Lastly, Lot who cozies up with the lost sinners of Sodom is a picture of the Jews in the time of Jacob’s trouble who cozy up to Antichrist. “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” Luke 17:28-30 (KJV)

Now that we have established a prophecy ‘baseline’, let’s take a look at the main character of this article, Enoch.

Whenever you hear me talking about the Rapture, I am always very careful to qualify it as the pretribulation rapture of the church. Why do I do this? Because as spectacular as the pretribulation rapture of the church is going to be, it is not the only rapture in the Bible.

c. 1600, “act of carrying off,” from Middle French rapture, from Medieval Latin raptura “seizure, rape, kidnapping,” from Latin raptus “a carrying off, abduction, snatching away; rape” (see rapt). Earliest attested use in English is of women and in 17c. it sometimes meant rape (v.), which word is a cognate of this. Sense of “spiritual ecstasy, state of mental transport” first recorded c. 1600 (raptures).

Jesus shows us a rapture of the tribulation saints in Matthew 24, there is the rapture of the Two Witnesses, Elijah is caught up and away, Paul was caught up the Third Heaven, John was caught up to Heaven in a type of the rapture of the church, and the list goes on. And when we look just one page before the Flood of Noah in Genesis 6, what do we see there? We see good old Enoch who gets raptured away to be with God in Heaven without ever dying. Want to take a wild, end times guess what that is a ‘type” of? Let’s go the bullet points and take a look.

  • ENOCH WAS A GENTILE: There are many reasons why God uses Enoch as a type to reveal to us light on end times prophecy. First, Enoch was not a Jew he was a gentile. So Enoch is a type of the gentile believer in the Church Age. Yes, the Church is made up of ‘Jews and gentiles’ but the vast majority of born again believers in the Church Age are in fact gentiles. “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.” Isaiah 11:11 (KJV)
  • ENOCH WAS A PREACHER: The gentile enoch had a testimony before the LORD, and like Christians are commanded to do, he preached the word. SO Enoch is a great type of the obedient Christian in the days right up before the time of Jacob’s trouble because Enoch preached right up before the Flood of Noah. Everytime you go preaching and handing out tracts on the street, you are as gentile believers actually following the example of Enoch. I always say that NTEB is an end times witness for Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world in the last days before the Rapture of the Church. See the similarities? “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” Jude 1:14,15 (KJV)
  • ENOCH NEVER SAW DEATH BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM: So we see the gentile Enoch, preaching up a storm and warning the lost of coming judgement, have an amazing encounter with the God he was telling everyone about. The Bible tells us that, one day while witnessing, God simple caught him up off the face of the earth and translated him to the throne room of Heaven. What did Enoch miss when that happened? Why Enoch just happened to miss…wait for it…every single second of the global tribulation of the Flood of Noah! At this point, those of you who still struggle with the idea of a pretribulation rapture, now have all the evidence you need to know that the Church doesn’t spend one, single second in the time of Jacob’s trouble. Why? Because like Enoch, the Church of born again believers will be caught up and out of here before the great tribulation begins. Just like Enoch was. “For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 (KJV)
  • BONUS POINT: Right now the world uses a gentile calendar that has 365 days of the year in it. In the time of Jacob’s trouble, the 360 day year used in the Hebrew calendar will be used once again to gauge the unfolding of prophecy by. So…how long did the gentile Enoch live for before God took him? You guessed it. “And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” Genesis 5:23,24 (KJV)

Now you know why it makes me laugh when the mockers comment to say that the pretribulation rapture wasn’t taught before John Darby made it up in the early 1800’s. Who needs John Darby or anyone else when God has already frontloaded His word with a dozen different ‘proofs’ for the pretrib rapture of the Church, the one we’re discussing today being the gentile Enoch as a type of the Church Age believer who witnesses to a lost and dying world right before the flood.

You can hang your eternal destiny securely on the fact that the Church will not live under Antichrist or even spend one, single minute in the time of Jacob’s trouble. Just like Enoch, we who are “alive and remain” will be caught up and out in the greatest troop movement in human history.

Count on it.

“My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.” Song Of Solomon 2:10 (KJV)

No, The ‘Ordained To Eternal Life’ In Acts 13:48 Does Not Mean That God Saved People Before They Were Born As Calvinism Erroneously Teaches

Published

NOW THE END BEGINS SHARE:

In Acts 13:48, the Bible shows us how God ordained and appointed the gospel to go to the Gentiles as prophesied in the Old Testament that they might believe, this is not a proof text for Calvinism.

I read an article earlier today called The Bible Verse That Made Me a Calvinist and it’s sad little story about a man who reads one verse in the book of the Acts of the Apostles and has the stunning revelation that yes, John Calvin was right about everything. So right, in fact, that the author decides, as John MacArthur teaches, that it’s John Calvin and not Paul who is actually the apostle to the Church Age, and it’s Calvin’s doctrine we are to follow. This type of result is typical of shallow study and sloppy exegesis, the antithesis of 2 Timothy 2:15.

“And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.” Acts 13:48 (KJB)

Someone once remarked that ‘a text without a context is a pretext for a proof text’, and that’s pretty much ‘right on the money’ as the Bible is filled with verses that, removed from the safe mooring of their context, yield wildly differing results. In Acts 13:44-52, the context is the hardness of the Jews hearts, and their refusal to believe the gospel. The Bible doesn’t say they can’t believe, it says they refused to believe, and because of their refusal, God turns to a group of people who will believe, the Gentiles. That the Gentiles would one day hear and believe the gospel is an Old Testament prophecy found in places like Isaiah 49:6 and Isaiah 60:3 in your King James Bible.

“Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.” Acts 13:46 (KJB)

Calvinism may teach, and it does, that no one gets saved until God ‘regenerates you’ in order for you to be able to believe, and then you become born again after God ‘flips your switch’. But this is not what your Bible teaches, it says the opposite of that. In Matthew 23:37, Jesus calls out the Jews for refusing to believe Him and His teachings, clearly showing they could believe if they had wanted to. In Acts 28:23-27, our apostle Paul speaks something very similar to what Jesus said in Matthew, again placing all the responsibility for the disbelief of the Jews on themselves, and not on God for not ‘regenerating’ them. Then in verse 28, Paul gives us a key to unlock Acts 13:48 as we see here:

“Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.” Acts 28:28 (KJB)

What did God do? He ordained the gospel to go to the Gentiles, just like it did to Cornelius in Acts 10:1-44, He appointed them the opportunity to have the gospel preached to them that some might believe. The Bible is not saying that God ordained and appointed individuals to salvation before they believed the gospel, rather that He was no longer dealing just with Israel. Romans 10:9-17 is quite clear that a person becomes saved when they call upon the name of the Lord and confess Him as Saviour after they’ve had the gospel preached to them. Paul repeats this theme again in Ephesians 1:10-14 where he shows us that a person gets saved after they hear the gospel preached, they believe it, receive it, and then are sealed unto the day of redemption by the Holy Spirit.

Remember Cornelius? The Bible says that he was a ‘just man’ and one that ‘feareth God’, who had a ‘good report’ among all who knew him. But there was something pretty huge that Cornelius did not have, he wasn’t saved. So, God appeared to Peter and ordained him to go and give Cornelius the gospel on an appointed day, and that’s exactly what happened. Peter preached the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to Cornelius, and the man got saved after he believed what Peter preached. What does Calvinism have to say about any of this? Nothing, because there is not one iota of Calvinism anywhere needed to bring this about. Now let’s wrap this whole thing up, shall we?

Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.” Acts 11:14 (KJB)

The Greek word used for ‘ordained’ is tetagmenoi which means ‘to put in order, to station, to place in a certain order, to arrange, to assign a place, to appoint’. This is just what God did when He turned to the Gentiles, as Paul says, and ordains or appoints them the opportunity to hear and believe the gospel. To come to any other conclusion is simply bowing to the filter of Calvinism, and being ‘willing ignorant’ of the abundance of scripture, rightly divided and in context, showing Calvin to be in grievous error. Don’t you make the same mistake.

John MacArthur Led 3,500 Pastors To Believe On John Calvin

This is typical MacArthur garbage. You will notice that Mac doesn’t defend Calvinism from the Bible, which you can’t do, but instead appeals to the “suffering and study” of Calvin as the reason why we should accept the private interpretation of Calvinism.

The Name Of Jesus Is The Name That Is Above All Names, And Did You Know That In Hebrew It’s Joshua Which Means ‘Jehovah Is Salvation’?

Published

on

NOW THE END BEGINS SHARE:

Did you know that in Hebrew the Greek name of Jesus is Joshua, and that both those names mean ‘Jehovah is salvation’? But wait, there’s more.

On Twitter earlier, I watched a short video from a foul-mouthed ‘christian’ who ranted on and on about the ‘real name’ of Jesus. I endured to the end, pun intended, in breathless anticipation of finally hearing my Saviour’s ‘real name’. Imagine my disappointment when I got to the end and he revealed it to be….drum roll please…Yeshua. Is that right, is that the actual name of Jesus? Let’s take a look.

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21 (KJB)

The name of Jesus comes to us in the New Testament Greek with the word iēsous that becomes ‘Jesus’ when translated into English. That’s fairly easy to understand, but let’s go the other way back to the Hebrew. When we do that, iēsous becomes יְהוֹשׁוּעַ which is translated as ‘Joshua’ in English. In both cases and in all 3 languages, the name Jesus means ‘Jehovah is salvation’. Of course, the built-in dictionary in your King James Bible gives further light when we read in verse 23 that “they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” Emmanuel, God is with you. Jesus, God will save you. Going a little further Isaiah says his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Now, what’s the reason for the connection of Jesus with Joshua? Let’s find out.

Joshua is used by God to a high degree, and indeed we see in Joshua many types of the Lord Jesus Christ. Joshua starts as a slave laborer in Egypt, but rises to the level of a conquering, faith-filled military leader who trusts God enough to take the Promised Land. Similarly, Jesus was a man at His First Advent who suffered the humiliation of the cross, but at His Second Advent comes as a conquering King to receive a kingdom. So we see that the name of Joshua is interchangeable with the name Jesus, so much so that in two places in the New Testament, the name of Jesus substituted for the name of Joshua. Why?

  • Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;” Acts 7:45 (KJB)
  • For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.” Hebrews 4:8 (KJB)

Both these verses are talking about the man Joshua from the Old Testament historically, but the King James translators went with the name of ‘Jesus’ when translating these verse because they are showing you a very valuable prophetical truth. A truth that the translators of the NIV, ESV and even the NKJV decided was not worth bothering with and they translated the passages as ‘Joshua’. Remember we told you that the Greek word iēsous is translated as both the names of Jesus and Joshua? As usual, your King James Bible is giving you insight that has been expunged from the ‘rubber sword’ of the modern versions.

God could have picked any of the Israelites to lead the Jews into the Promised Land, but He chose Joshua and Caleb. Everything about Joshua reminds us of Jesus at His Second Coming, the book of Joshua is a book of warfare. King Jesus comes as a ‘man of war’ to stomp His enemies at the Battle of Armageddon. Like Joshua did in the Old Testament, King Jesus will lead His people from the red rock city of Selah Petra into the Promised Land of Israel for the last time. And as Joshua was just a type in the Old Testament, and could not ultimately give the people rest, King Jesus as the end times Joshua will ‘finish the job’ in a spectacular way. By using the name of ‘Jesus’ in place of ‘Joshua’ in Hebrews and Acts, God used the King James translators to accomplish something none of the modern versions are willing to do, and that’s give you valuable links and cross-references between the names of ‘Jesus’ and ‘Joshua’ regarding the Second Advent.

One more fun fact before I go. In your Bible there are only three people who never lose a battle, care to guess who they might be? David never lost a battle, the Bible says in 1 Samuel 13:14 that he was a man after God’s own heart. The second man who never lost a battle that he personally commanded is Joshua, who in a wild ‘coincidence’ has the exact same name as Jesus. The third Man who never lost a battle, or a soul who called on Him, is Jesus who just happens to have the same name as Joshua. What’s in a name? Plenty, if you have a King James Bible.

The Modern Versions Prevent A Black Man From Getting Saved In Acts 8 While Teaching The Heresy Of Water Baptism For Salvation In The Church Age

NOW THE END BEGINS SHARE:

Your King James Bible faithfully preserves doctrinal truth in Acts 8 that the modern versions seek to destroy

If you have a King James Bible, when you read Acts 8 you thrill to see the salvation of the very first Gentile in the Church Age, the Ethiopian Eunuch, and you marvel at the dispensational truth that’s revealed when you’re shown that baptism in now no longer necessary for salvation. But…if you have an NIV, an ESV, or John MacArthur’s terrible new Legacy Standard Bible, those scripture nuggets have either been removed outright, or cast to the phantom zone of the footnotes section. Why? I’ll tell you why.

“And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” Acts 8:36,37 (KJB)

People who cannot see dispensations in the Bible will try and tell you that salvation is the same from Genesis to Revelation, but that’s a lie. Salvation isn’t even the same from Acts 2 to Acts 8. In Acts 2:38, Peter is preaching to an exclusively Jewish crowd, and telling them, as a nation, to get baptized for the remission of sins. Yet just 6 chapters later, Phillip assures the Ethiopian Eunuch that belief unto salvation comes before baptism. You are watching the rebirth of the Ethiopian Eunuch while at the same time watching God giving birth to a new dispensation that we call the Church Age. This is all so ground breaking and revelatory that Satan then comes along with his modern version magic eraser to wipe it clean where he can, and cast doubt on it everyplace else.

We live in a day and age where race and race relations are super-charged, and everyone is looking for racism in every cartoon bubble, and that can become weary and tiresome. But is it just a coincidence that the modern versions in Acts 8 swoop in like a seagull after popcorn to snatch up the exact moment that the Ethiopian Eunuch, a black man, gets saved? It kind of feels like it to me. So let’s do a simple bullet point demonstration of the damage done here by the modern versions, shall we?

  • THE DISAPPEARING SALVATION: In your King James Bible, you read that the Ethiopian Eunuch wants to know what’s stopping him from being baptized, and Phillip tells him he needs to get saved first, and baptized second. “And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” The Eunuch gets saved in verse 37, which is then promptly removed by the Laodicean Bible correctors. This is criminal activity perpetrated by Christian criminals who call themselves doctors.
  • THE DISAPPEARING DISPENSATION: By removing verse 37, there is now no dispensational difference between this event in Acts 8 in the Church Age, and the water-based salvation of the Kingdom Age. “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” You are being duped, dumbed down and dumped into that whirling vortex known as the ‘Greek and Hebrew Scholars Union’. This is where true biblical scholarship goes to die, don’t let it kill you. NOTE: If you have an ESV, NIV or any of those other perverted ‘bibles’, we invite you to throw it in the trash, then click here and we will send you a brand new King James Study Bible at zero cost to you.

The Greek and Hebrew scholars love to tear down your faith in the King James Bible so they can replace it with your faith in their scholarship, this is a con game of the highest magnitude. We have dozens of books at the Bookstore that will reveal everything you need to know about Bible versions, and we invite you to purchase some of those books right now.
