In geopolitics, this is the greatest show on earth. For the best part of a week, the world’s leaders – more than 150 of them – will mingle, bargain and argue over the state of the world at the UN General Assembly in New York.

“And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.” Jeremiah 25:13 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: In the Bible, all the nations gathering together is never a good thing. The Bible says that in the end of times all the nations of the world, united in purpose, will band together and come against Israel. At which point God Himself steps in to fight for His chosen people the Jews. Think about that as you listen to all the world’s leaders uniting this week to discuss how best to govern our global, one world society. The leader that the Bible says all the world will follow just might be getting ready to step out from the shadows.

For much of the proceedings, “show” is the operative word. When the presidents and prime ministers mount the green marble podium, there will be a strong element of theatre. They will be playing to different galleries, declaiming their positions to their peers in the chamber, but also to domestic audiences.

The drama will be greater than ever this year, at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, known inside the institution by its acronym UNGA (rhyming with hunger). Within the space of two hours on Monday morning, Presidents Barack Obama, Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, Hassan Rouhani and François Hollande will take their turn to speak. Each will try to anticipate and respond to the other, seeking rhetorical advantage and one-upmanship in their claims to global leadership. The global balance of power will be laid out in the open.

The leaders will huddle on Sunday to discuss climate change and global development goals. They will discuss the future of UN peacekeeping on Monday, with several countries pledging troops to the task, and on Tuesday, debate strategies of defeating the Islamic State and other violent extremists.

The greatest wild card this year will be Putin. It will be the first time he has shown up to talk at UNGA for a decade, and he flies to New York at a critical time. While he has eased the pressure on Ukraine, dialling down Russia’s covert military campaign alongside the separatists in the east, Putin at the same time has raised his country’s stakes in Syria in support of Bashar al-Assad, setting up an air base in Latakia and consolidating Russia’s hold on a naval base at Tartus.

In so doing, he has backed up by force of arms the argument he has been trying to win since the war started more than four years, and 250,000 lives, ago: that the only road to peace is through support for Assad and a concerted campaign against ISIS.

Obama will be co-hosting a summit meeting on countering ISIS starting on Tuesday morning. Putin is not expected to attend, as he seeking to claim his own leadership of the anti-ISIS campaign.

That will be the state of play when Obama meets Putin on Monday afternoon, at what is likely to be the most critical summit of the week. The president will be seeking assurances of Russian agreement to a relatively brisk abdication by Assad (months rather than years) in return for legitimising the Russian boots-on-the-ground campaign in Syria. But right now, those are assurances Putin seems in no mood to give.

The symbolic highlight of the UN General Assembly in 2013 was a phone conversation between Obama and Rouhani as the latter was in his car heading to the airport. Two years on, US-Iranian exchanges are now routine. A deal on the future of Iran’s nuclear programme was finally clinched in July, and in getting there the US secretary of state, John Kerry, and his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, spent more time in each other’s company than any other two foreign ministers on earth.

On Monday, Zarif will be meeting ministers from the six nations who negotiated the nuclear agreement, in order to discuss its implementation. But the White House has said there is still no meeting expected between Obama and Rouhani this year. Rouhani told National Public Radio that Iran was ready to start discussing Syria with the US “right now” but a personal encounter has not been approved by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The nuclear agreement has yet to have a diplomatic domino effect. Iran and the US remain far apart on each other’s role in the Middle East. Iran has reportedly not been invited to Obama’s summit on countering Isis.

The White House says, however, that the president will have a brief meeting with Raùl Castro, who will be addressing the general assembly for the first time on Monday afternoon. Obama met the Cuban leader at the Summit of the Americas in Panama in April, and Kerry went to Havana to reopen the US embassy in August, ending a 54-year break in relations. source

Centuries-Old Historic German Church Draws 1,200 People To Attend A ‘Taylor Swift Worship Service’ Because She ‘Points The Way To God’

The centuries-old Church of the Holy Spirit in Germany drew more than 1,200 people on Sunday for worship services featuring the music of Taylor Swift.

I suppose it had to happen sooner or later, and maybe just a little surprised that only just now occurring, be that as it may, the worship of Taylor Swift as the ‘divine feminine’ as Spencer Smith draws our attention to, seems to be in full swing. I don’t know if Taylor Swift is saved or lost, but I know that her music, especially her recent work, points you much more to Satan than to anything connected with the goodness of God. We are in the last days, people, as if that wasn’t already wildly obvious.

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:” Revelation 9:20 (KJB)

Over the years we’ve watched many a presumably Christian artist – Amy Grant, Katy Perry, Lauren Daigle just to name a few – start out with the Lord, but as the money and fame rolls in, swap partners to begin holding hands with the Devil. It is a stunning and sobering thing to watch. As far as the German Church Of The Holy Spirit goes, you can mark them with Ichabod and throw them into the Church of Laodicea dumpster. Their ‘light’, if it was ever on, is now officially o-u-t out.

Historic German Church of the Holy Spirit hosts worship service featuring Taylor Swift music

FROM THE CHRISTIAN POST: The Church of the Holy Spirit, a famous church in Heidelberg that meets in a 600-year-old building, put on a service titled “Anti-Hero — Taylor Swift Church Service” over the weekend in an effort to draw the interest of young people, according to Deutsche Welle (DW).

“The Church of the Holy Spirit has always been a place of encounter and exchange. That’s why a pop-music religious service fits so perfectly,” Pastor Christof Ellsiepen told the outlet. “With it, we are giving space to the questions and issues that occupy the younger generation.”

The service focused on the supposedly strong Christian themes in Swift’s music that address hot-button issues such as women’s rights, racism and gender equality, according to the pastor.

Parish Pastor Vincenzo Petracca acknowledged that Swift has taken flak from some Evangelical faith leaders for her music, especially in the United States.

“Theologically speaking, she points to the justness of God,” Petracca said, adding that Swift’s “faith knows doubt and inner-conflict. For her, faith and action are inseparable,” he said.

Two Sunday services in the historic church featured Swift’s tunes, which DW noted were attended by an audience that skewed young and female. A rainbow banner behind the musicians noted that the church welcomes “all sizes, all [colors], all cultures, all sexes, all beliefs, all religions, all ages, all types, all people.”

While noting that the church was “built for Gregorian liturgical music and not for Taylor Swift,” Petracca maintained that he was moved by the response to the modern, pop-themed service. READ MORE

Articles Now Appearing Attempting To Convince You That Donald Trump Has Dementia Is Proof That Joe Biden Is Just About Completely Out Of Gas

A pair of professional psychologists are warning that, despite more Americans’ believing Joe Biden is more unfit to be president, Donald Trump’s cognitive decline is getting worse.

There are lots of things you could credibly accuse Donald Trump of, after nearly a half-century in the real estate business, you have done a lot of deals both on top of, and under, the proverbial table. In fact, Donald Trump is on trial right now defending against some of those allegations. What you can’t accuse him of, with any credibility at all, is being afflicted with the dementia that has obviously integrated itself within the mind of Joe Biden. But this is a tactic the Left so loves to employ, accuse your enemy of doing what you’re doing to see what sticks.

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJB)

Verbal blunders are not necessarily a sign of dementia, mentally healthy people can slip up while speaking if they are not getting enough rest, working too much, or being unduly distracted. But that’s not what you see when listening to Joe Biden speak. When he attempts to talk, his voice will range wildly from a deranged whisper all the way up to screaming, with little or no sense of any of it applying to what he’s talking about. Biden has a famous stutter, but it’s his inability to form words distinctly that is the real problem, they all just runtogetherlikethislinehere. I laughed out loud when I read the article below, as it shows the level of desperation that Joe Biden’s followers are feeling right now as he continues to sink way down in the polls. Joe Biden is about out of gas, and the whole country knows it. The only question is can Donald Trump stay alive long enough to make it over the finish line? That’s the memo.

They claim the former president has ‘rapid mental deterioration’

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Senior lecturer at Cornell University Dr Harry Segal and fellow psychologist Dr John Gartner have begun a podcast called ‘Shrinking Trump’ to, as they put it, ‘dissect the reasons for Donald Trump’s rapid mental deterioration.’

Gartner even goes as far as accusing Trump – who has consistently denied any cognitive impairment while suggesting Biden doesn’t know where he is – of having dementia. ‘I always say to people: Look at Donald Trump right now, because that’s the best Donald Trump you’re ever going to see because dementia is a deteriorating illness and his rate of deterioration is accelerating,’ he said.

Despite having, in their opinion, sounded the alarm on Trump’s abilities, they believe the media refuses to cover it.

Gartner wondered: ‘I don’t know what it will take for the mainstream press to actually ask the question, ‘Is there something wrong with Trump’s brain? I think, even if he was caught wandering down Fifth Avenue in his pajamas, they wouldn’t ask the question,’ he added.

Segal lobbed the accusation that many liberals have thrown at Trump: that he has a narcissistic personality disorder and warned that it’s all downhill from here.

‘It’s a disorder that doesn’t get better,’ he said. ‘It gets worse when there’s less structure.’

Segal said ‘we’re going to see… an interaction between the cognitive decline and the personality disorder, both of which are severe diagnoses for anybody, and this is for somebody who never should have been in power in the first place.’ READ MORE

Endless Reserves Of Cash Of The United Arab Emirates Are Wooing Silicon Valley Tech Titans Who Suddenly No Longer Care About Human Rights Abuses

Two years ago, Andrew Feldman couldn’t find Abu Dhabi on a map. But like many Silicon Valley leaders, the artificial intelligence entrepreneur has been wooed by the promise of Middle Eastern partnership and money.

The Middle East has finally figured out the same lesson that Rome understood in the early days of the 4th century AD. If you have an enemy, as Rome did with the Christians, it’s a losing battle to take them on directly as you only cause their ranks to grow. But if you woo them with money, prosperity and security, as the Roman Catholic Church did when they conducted their hostile takeover of the Church Jesus started, you get a much better result. The United Arab Emirates have opened up the bank vaults, and like moths to the flame, American tech titans are rushing in. But the UAE is buying, not selling.

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” Matthew 24:4 (KJB)

If you haven’t figured it out by now, Artificial Intelligence combined with human-implantable biometric devices for both software and hardware, is the largest and fastest-growing industry in the world. Every airport in America is now demanding all passengers have REAL ID, a biometric digital identification card. After May 7 of 2025, you will not be able to fly without it. Retail stores are now accepting payment with your palm, and it is a very short distance to the other side of your hand as Revelation 13 shows you.

Silicon Valley once chafed at dictatorships. Then came a Middle East gold rush and everyone suddenly wants it.

FROM MICROSOFT START: On trips to the glittering capital of the United Arab Emirates, he’s toured a government-built synagogue and a local outpost of the Louvre. The city is so teeming with the tech sector that he ran into fellow California start-up founders in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel. Meanwhile, millions from the oil-rich UAE are allowing Feldman’s Cerebras to build advanced supercomputer data centers in Stockton, Calif., Dallas and on the outskirts of the Emirati desert city.

He’s among a generation of tech founders and investors quietly pilgrimaging to the sovereign wealth funds of the gulf states, pursuing deals with authoritarian regimes. Microsoft last month announced a $1.5 billion investment in G42, the United Arab Emirates’ flagship tech firm, which also has an agreement to use AI language models from Sam Altman’s OpenAI. Prominent venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz is in talks to raise $40 billion from Saudi Arabia for a dedicated AI fund.

The cutthroat and costly ambition of the AI arms race is driving a seismic shift in the region’s prominence, changing how one of the world’s most advanced technologies gets built and the players who stand to benefit, according to interviews with more than two dozen investors, tech company executives and government officials that have dealt with the region, many of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of damaging business relationships.

Some tech entrepreneurs and venture firms once shunned Middle Eastern funding, driven by concern for human rights abuses, the region’s ties to China and industry disdain for what were once considered lucrative, but unsophisticated, investments, deemed “dumb money,” from oil states. The 2018 killing of Saudi journalist and Washington Post contributor Jamal Khashoggi caused some firms to explicitly step away from the country’s cash.

But Middle Eastern money has become the most powerful geopolitical force in the tech industry virtually overnight. “The Khashoggi era is over,” said a prominent venture capitalist.

“Everyone I talk to is either going to or coming back from the UAE — the same way we used to swing by Sand Hill Road,” said Feldman, referring to the street that’s home to Silicon Valley’s storied venture capital firms. Feldman will visit Saudi Arabia later this year.

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, this year, two giant showcases of Middle Eastern tech firepower were on display on the city’s central promenade: A glossy storefront for the Saudi smart city Neom and a sleek white pavilion from the UAE, emblazoned with the slogan, “Tolerant Nations Are Global.”

“Nobody cares where their money is from as long as they can find money,” said Andrew King, a venture capitalist and founder of Future Union, a nonprofit that has advised lawmakers on China risks. “It’s like see no evil, hear no evil.” READ MORE
