Chaplain Todd wrote to us and said “We are the main detention center in the county located in Fort Smith, AR. We have an approximate inmate population of 365 – 400 (men and women). We give out between 30-40 Bibles per week. Thank you for any help you can give. We need KJVs in English.” The Lord has opened a door for us in Arkansas, and we will be sending out 500 King James Bibles to assist them in the work the Lord has given them. We also have an open door in my home state of New Jersey, as well.

“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” 1 Corinthians 16:9 (KJB)

Chaplain JW Casey also wrote in and said “Good morning, and thank you for your service to our Lord. I am Chaplain J.W. Casey. I have been serving at the Ocean County Jail in New Jersey since early 2011. First as a lay minister asked to visit an inmate by his mother, then as a volunteer. In 2015 I was asked to serve as an assistant to the Chaplain. In 2017 I was ordained and took over the helm as Chaplain. We are a coed facility consisting of a population that ranges from pre-trial detention and minor infractions. Since much of the population is transitory,(less than one year) ministry is rather unique in that, just as Jesus did, you must get right to the point and deliver the truth.” Chaplain Casey ministers at the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, New Jersey, and we will be sending him right around 700 Bibles.

On March 14th, 1991, I opened up a free Bible from a free Bible program and got saved. 32 years later, all of us here at NTEB are doing that for others.

Today is my born again birthday, and it’s been 32 years since I first began to walk with the Lord Jesus Christ after reading John 3:16 in a King James Bible. A Bible that was produced to be given away for free, by Christians in the 1960’s, with a burden to see the lost get saved. On March 14th, 1991, I would open that Book that was prayed over, paid for through donations and sent out into the highways and hedges in the hopes that a few lost souls would be “compelled to come in”. Well, that lost soul was me, and I got gloriously saved! You know what the Lord gave me today as a birthday present? An urgent request for cases of King James Bibles to be sent to a prison in central Florida. Happy birthday to me!

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11 (KJB)

The email I opened today read like this, “I am one of the chaplains here at Union Correctional Institution. It is a mixed population facility housing everything from death row, general population, to confinement population, and even a work camp. I was referred to your ministry from a friend of mine and believe it could be a huge blessing as the KJV Bible is probably the most requested Bible and the least donated Bible. A shipment of 150 KJV Bibles would be a blessing.’ Chaplain Scott Schwarzrock” His request was immediately upgraded to 200 Bibles and his order has order begun to be processed. This was possible because you pray for our free Bible program, and you donate so we can send these Bibles out on demand.

Last Friday, Patricia O’Reilly prayed to receive Jesus on a phone call with me after the Podcast. Then on our Sunday Service, a woman named Amber started asked questions in the chat room and she got saved. And every month thousands of King James Bibles, New Testaments and scripture portions are being shipped all across America, and into about a dozen foreign countries, can you just imagine the fruit all that will produce? We supply jails, prisons, nursing homes, detention facilities, as well as sending over a thousand King James Study Bibles to individuals who request them. The Lord has given us a very wide open door, will you help us to reach the lost with God’s preserved word? If the Lord has prospered you, please donate and be as generous as you can. Would you take a moment to help us send 700 King James Bibles to the Houston County Detention Center in Perry, Georgia?

The email we received through our Bibles Behind Bars website was cordial, short and to the point, quite typical of the type of emails we receive. Chaplain Carrick of the Houston County Detention Center in Perry, Ga wrote  “We are a 665-bed Sheriff’s Office detention facility housing male and female inmates who have been sentenced or awaiting trial and are located in the middle Georgia area approximately 75 miles south of Atlanta on I-75. This is a great opportunity to get the message of Christ out to everyone.” I answered back immediately that 700 Bibles would be arriving there soon. And that was that.

“And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.” Acts 16:9,10 (KJB)

Sometimes it seems like the Lord is using all of us here at NTEB to open up a type of Bible pipeline, to blast out His preserved word to jails and prisons in America, as well as to missionaries on the foreign fields, as a hedge against the gathering darkness. I never spent a night in jail, but my salvation came through a King James Bible provided through a free Bible program that burdened Christians at that time prayed over and paid for. Even more amazing, that Bible where I read John 3:16 for the first time sat in a damp basement for 2 decades, untouched and unnoticed, right up until the night where the Holy Spirit touched me to go get it, and get saved. I thank God just about every day for the Christians He raised up back in the 1960’s and ’70’s to make the word of God available to me when I needed it in 1991. That’s what you and I are being used to do right now in 2023. Man, oh man, what a thing.

It blows my mind to think that we are so close to the Rapture of the Church that some of these Bibles we are sending out won’t be opened until the time of Jacob’s trouble when the 144,000 are commissioned and sealed. Can you just imagine, Tribulation saints huddling in a safe house, avoiding the police of the Antichrist government, and gathered around one of the King James Bibles we sent out before we were removed? That scenario, while quite wild I agree, is not only possible, it’s likely. Highly likely.
