Everywhere you look here in 2024, nothing but trouble, lots and lots of end times trouble. Yet, in the midst of all this bleakness, there is hope and good news.

A quick succession of dozens of earthquakes struck Japan’s main island of Honshu today – the worst being a 7.6 magnitude that hit at 4.10pm local time. At least six people are buried under the rubble, the government said, adding that the army had been deployed to aid rescue efforts. A huge fire is also currently raging in the residential area of Wajima, Ishikawa which was close to the epicenter of the successive earthquakes. The after-effects of the earthquakes are being felt in North Korea, South Korea and Russia’s Far East, which have all issued tsunami warnings to local populations. Welcome to Day 1 of 2024, it’s gonna be a wild ride as it’s also Day 1,386 of 15 Days To Flatten The Curve.

On this New Year’s Eve of 2024, we stand on the precipice of cataclysmic change on every level. My 3 brothers have been on the prayer list for salvation for many years, and now one of them, Jimmy, lies in a hospital bed struggling to cling to life. I earnestly covet your prayers for his physical healing and spiritual salvation, but many of us have loved ones in a similar condition. We need now more than ever to be lifting each other up in prayer. Our prayer list is larger now than it’s ever been, and that’s because the need is greater than it’s ever been. We go into 2024 having sent out 250,000 free King James Bibles, New Testaments, scripture portions and gospel tracts, but we need your help to stay in the fight.

This is our vacation week here at Now The End Begins, and we’ve taken a short break from broadcasting and content creation while we rest and recharge for the upcoming year that, I’m sure, will be chock-full of end times intrigue and excitement. Lots of people make the time between Christmas and New Year’s their ‘staycation’ time. One person who doesn’t get that time off is Staff Sgt. Edison at the Jones County Adult Detention Center in Mississippi, and he wrote to us on Wednesday to ask for our help.

“The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” Psalm 68:11 (KJB)

Staff Sgt. Edison wrote and said they are not just low on Bibles, they are out of them completely. The Jones County facility is built for 160 inmates, but as of 2022 was housing upwards of 230. You can well imagine that in a facility like that, having the word of God present and available is of paramount importance. 2024 is a time where many Bible-sending organizations will be cutting back on the amount they send out, but Lord willing, we here at Bibles Behind Bars will be increasing our output. But we can only do that with your help. Let’s start by getting Jones County up to speed.

We are just 2 days away from a brand-new year, and it is usually at this time people reflect on the year that’s coming to a close, and make resolutions for the new one coming in. One thing we resolve to do is to continue to stand in the gap between the lost and the unquenchable fires of a burning Hell, sending out as many King James Bibles, New Testaments, scripture portions and gospel tracts, for free, as we possibly can.
