Iron Dome intercepts two projectiles launched at Sderot and surrounding area; city of Ashkelon joins Gaza Strip border communities in canceling school for Friday
Israel has a never-ending and ongoing problem with the Gaza Strip that continues to fester up and boil over on a regular basis. It was back in 2005, as part of the “land for peace” fiasco, where then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon authorized the letting go of Israeli control of the Gaza Strip. From the moment that happened, it became nothing more than a launching pad for palestinian terrorism, and has only increased in the 14 years that have followed. The current conflict is proof of that.
“And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed.” 1 Samuel 15:18 (KJV)
Part of the present-day problem is that Israel does not want to eradicate Hamas or the PIJ, they only seem to want to keep them at bay. Certainly Israel is capable of completely removing them and yet, they don’t do it. In conflicts over recent years, Israel has always stopped short of complete victory, and this could come back to bite them in the face should the day ever come where Hamas and the PIJ, with funding and backing from Iran,
Despite ceasefire, rockets fly over Gaza Strip border communities
FROM JPOST: Sirens were heard in Nahal Oz, Tushiya, Alumim, Kfar Maimon on Thursday afternoon hours after a ceasefire was announced by the IDF and, a few hours later in the evening, sirens were heard again in Sderot, Sapir Academic College, Ibim, and Meflasim.
The IDF claims that the earlier sirens went off in response to one rocket, which was intercepted over Netivot. The second round of sirens, however, was triggered by two rockets, according to the IDF. Channel 12 claimed that “some of them” were intercepted.
We are currently striking Islamic Jihad terror targets in Gaza.
This comes after rockets were indiscriminately fired from Gaza at Israeli civilians today.

Since Tuesday morning, rockets were fired at Israel by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) after the targeted killing of its leader Bahaa Abu al-Ata. Palestinian media reports that riots broke out Thursday evening in Gaza, calling for revenge for the targeted assassination of Rasmi Abu Malhus, who was the commander of the rocket launching unit of the PIJ.
Gaza border communities decided to hold off on letting children back into school so far. Lessons will resume on Sunday.
“We are in contact with the IDF and are reviewing the developments,” the heads of the Gaza border communities’ authorities said in a mutual statement. “There is currently no change in other defensive guidelines. The decision was made with concern for students and educational staff.”
The Al-Quds spokesman, Abu Hamza, is going to make a public statement at 8 p.m., according to the PIJ. READ MORE
Rockets fired despite Gaza Strip ceasefire
A shaky ceasefire between Israel and Gaza’s Islamic Jihad militant group appears to be holding despite a barrage of rocket fire that threatened to shatter the truce.

When you contribute to this fundraising effort, you are helping us to do what the Lord called us to do. The money you send in goes primarily to the overall daily operations of this site. When people ask for Bibles, we send them out at no charge. When people write in and say how much they would like gospel tracts but cannot afford them, we send them a box at no cost to them for either the tracts or the shipping, no matter where they are in the world. Even all the way to South Africa. We even restarted our weekly radio Bible study on Sunday nights again, thanks to your generous donations. All this is possible because YOU pray for us, YOU support us, and YOU give so we can continue growing.
But whatever you do, don’t do nothing. Time is short and we need your help right now. If every one of the 13,131 people on our daily mailing list gave $4.50, we would reach our goal immediately. If every one of our 151,781 followers on Facebook gave $1.00 each, we would reach 300% of our goal. The same goes for our 14,500 followers on Twitter. But sadly, many will not give, so we need the ones who can and who will give to be generous. As generous as possible.
