U.S. Marines In Afghanistan Told To SURRENDER THEIR WEAPONS During Panetta Speech

In a sign of the nervousness surrounding Mr. Panetta’s trip, the Marines and other troops who were waiting in a tent for the defense secretary to speak were abruptly asked by their commander to get up, place their weapons — M-16 and M-4 automatic rifles and 9-mm pistols — outside the tent and then return unarmed. The commander, Sgt. Maj. Brandon Hall, told reporters he was acting on orders from superiors.

Upon whose orders was this?

CAMP LEATHERNECK, Afghanistan — Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta landed here Wednesday morning for an unannounced and tense visit, the first by a senior member of the Obama administration since an American soldier reportedly killed 16 Afghan civilians, mostly children and women.

Following orders? Marines and other troops who were waiting in a tent for the defense secretary to speak were abruptly asked by their commander to get up, place their weapons — M-16 and M-4 automatic rifles and 9-mm pistols — outside the tent and then return unarmed.

The two-day visit was planned months ago, but it has taken on a new urgency since an American staff sergeant slipped out of a military base in the southern province of Kandahar on Sunday and, according to villagers and senior defense officials, went door to door in nearby villages, shooting civilians.

“We will be challenged by our enemies, we will be challenged by ourselves, we will be challenged by the hell of war itself,” Mr. Panetta told some 200 Marines, Afghan security officers and troops from other coalition nations at this vast military base in the desert of Helmand Province, abutting Kandahar. Early in the day, a roadside bomb struck a minivan in Helmand at about 1 a.m., destroying the vehicle and killing eight civilians.

“All I know is, I was told to get the weapons out,” he said. Asked why, he replied, “Somebody got itchy, that’s all I’ve got to say. Somebody got itchy; we just adjust.”

Normally, American forces in Afghanistan keep their weapons with them when the defense secretary visits and speaks to them. The Afghans in the tent waiting for Mr. Panetta were not armed to begin with, as is typical.

Later, American officials said that the top commander in Helmand, Maj. Gen. Mark Gurganus, had decided on Tuesday that no one would be armed while Mr. Panetta spoke to them, but the word did not reach those in charge in the tent until shortly before Mr. Panetta was due to arrive.

General Gurganus told reporters later that he wanted a consistent policy for everyone in the tent. “You’ve got one of the most important people in the world in the room,” he said. He insisted that his decision had nothing to do with the shooting on Sunday. “This is not a big deal,” he said.

Mr. Panetta, like President Obama, has denounced the killings and vowed to bring the killer to justice, a message he is to deliver in person to President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan and top Afghan defense and interior officials while he is in Afghanistan. The killings have further clouded Afghan-American relations, which were already strained. source – NY Times

Endless Reserves Of Cash Of The United Arab Emirates Are Wooing Silicon Valley Tech Titans Who Suddenly No Longer Care About Human Rights Abuses

Two years ago, Andrew Feldman couldn’t find Abu Dhabi on a map. But like many Silicon Valley leaders, the artificial intelligence entrepreneur has been wooed by the promise of Middle Eastern partnership and money.

The Middle East has finally figured out the same lesson that Rome understood in the early days of the 4th century AD. If you have an enemy, as Rome did with the Christians, it’s a losing battle to take them on directly as you only cause their ranks to grow. But if you woo them with money, prosperity and security, as the Roman Catholic Church did when they conducted their hostile takeover of the Church Jesus started, you get a much better result. The United Arab Emirates have opened up the bank vaults, and like moths to the flame, American tech titans are rushing in. But the UAE is buying, not selling.

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” Matthew 24:4 (KJB)

If you haven’t figured it out by now, Artificial Intelligence combined with human-implantable biometric devices for both software and hardware, is the largest and fastest-growing industry in the world. Every airport in America is now demanding all passengers have REAL ID, a biometric digital identification card. After May 7 of 2025, you will not be able to fly without it. Retail stores are now accepting payment with your palm, and it is a very short distance to the other side of your hand as Revelation 13 shows you.

Silicon Valley once chafed at dictatorships. Then came a Middle East gold rush and everyone suddenly wants it.

FROM MICROSOFT START: On trips to the glittering capital of the United Arab Emirates, he’s toured a government-built synagogue and a local outpost of the Louvre. The city is so teeming with the tech sector that he ran into fellow California start-up founders in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel. Meanwhile, millions from the oil-rich UAE are allowing Feldman’s Cerebras to build advanced supercomputer data centers in Stockton, Calif., Dallas and on the outskirts of the Emirati desert city.

He’s among a generation of tech founders and investors quietly pilgrimaging to the sovereign wealth funds of the gulf states, pursuing deals with authoritarian regimes. Microsoft last month announced a $1.5 billion investment in G42, the United Arab Emirates’ flagship tech firm, which also has an agreement to use AI language models from Sam Altman’s OpenAI. Prominent venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz is in talks to raise $40 billion from Saudi Arabia for a dedicated AI fund.

The cutthroat and costly ambition of the AI arms race is driving a seismic shift in the region’s prominence, changing how one of the world’s most advanced technologies gets built and the players who stand to benefit, according to interviews with more than two dozen investors, tech company executives and government officials that have dealt with the region, many of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of damaging business relationships.

Some tech entrepreneurs and venture firms once shunned Middle Eastern funding, driven by concern for human rights abuses, the region’s ties to China and industry disdain for what were once considered lucrative, but unsophisticated, investments, deemed “dumb money,” from oil states. The 2018 killing of Saudi journalist and Washington Post contributor Jamal Khashoggi caused some firms to explicitly step away from the country’s cash.

But Middle Eastern money has become the most powerful geopolitical force in the tech industry virtually overnight. “The Khashoggi era is over,” said a prominent venture capitalist.

“Everyone I talk to is either going to or coming back from the UAE — the same way we used to swing by Sand Hill Road,” said Feldman, referring to the street that’s home to Silicon Valley’s storied venture capital firms. Feldman will visit Saudi Arabia later this year.

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, this year, two giant showcases of Middle Eastern tech firepower were on display on the city’s central promenade: A glossy storefront for the Saudi smart city Neom and a sleek white pavilion from the UAE, emblazoned with the slogan, “Tolerant Nations Are Global.”

“Nobody cares where their money is from as long as they can find money,” said Andrew King, a venture capitalist and founder of Future Union, a nonprofit that has advised lawmakers on China risks. “It’s like see no evil, hear no evil.” READ MORE

United Nations General Assembly Expected To Upgrade Palestinian Statehood Status As United Arab Emirates Prepare Resolution To Advance

Published

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is expected to upgrade the Palestinian status at the UN, granting it almost all statehood rights within its plenum short of allowing it to vote.

The world draws closer and closer to the forced creation of a Palestinian state that the Old Testament prophets said would exist in the last days. This is where we are, right now, as you read this. Your King James Bible is the only one that shows you a living, breathing, literal, actual state of Palestine in the end times. The corrupt versions like the ESV, NIV, LSB and even the compromiser’s favorite, the NKJV, all erase the word Palestine and Palestina from their texts. But your King James 1611 357 is fully-loaded, aim and ready to fire. Pull the trigger.

“Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;” Joel 3:4 (KJB)

“The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.” Exodus 15:14 (KJB)

Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.” Isaiah 14:29 (KJB)

Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestinaart dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.” Isaiah 14:31 (KJB)

Aren’t you glad that you have a Bible you can trust? Why do all the modern versions erase the words ‘Palestine’ and ‘Palestine’ and replace them with ‘Philistines’ and ‘Philistia’? Because in 2024 there is no nation anywhere on this Earth called Philistia, they leave you stuck back in the past with the prophetic links broken. But my King James Bible clearly shows me a land called Palestine in 2024, a land that will be created very soon when Israel is parted by her enemies. The modern versions will never tell you that.

UNGA expected to upgrade Palestinian statehood status

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: The United Arab Emirates is expected to submit a resolution, a draft text of which was seen by The Jerusalem Post, calling on the United Nations Security Council to grant Palestine full membership status in the UN.

The text, which is likely to have majority support, states that “Palestine is qualified for membership in the United Nations in accordance with article 4 of the Charter and should therefore be admitted to membership in the United Nations.”

The Palestinian Authority, through the UAE, turned to the General Assembly after the United States vetoed its membership application to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) last month. The US is one of five permanent UNSC members with veto power. The UAE resolution “recommends” that the Security Council “reconsider the matter favorably,” but in essence, its text seeks to circumvent the UNSC’s sole power to determine UN membership.

According to the current draft of the resolution, this Friday, the UNGA would grant Palestine the right to operate within its plenum as a member state, granting it almost everything but the right to vote, which would need UNSC approval.

The resolution affirms “the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, including the right to their independent State of Palestine.” In practice, the State of Palestine could be seated among the member states and be granted broad rights to address the plenum on its behalf or that of groups.

The Palestinians could submit resolutions, proposals, and amendments on their own behalf or on behalf of groups within the UN system. If the resolution is approved, the Palestinians could also participate in high-level meetings and international conferences, where they would have voting rights.

Western states, especially the United States, have opposed unilateral recognition of Palestinian statehood, believing that it should be granted upon completion of a final status peace agreement for the two states. Given that negotiations for a two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have been frozen for a decade and in light of the Gaza war, there is growing support among Western states for unilateral Palestinian statehood. Iran has launched waves of drones to attack Israel that are set to hit within hours, in ‘Operation True Promise’ as Jordan and Syria declare state of emergency

As we’ve have been telling you for weeks now, Israel was on the verge of waging war on three fronts after already knee-deep in fighting with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Tonight front number three officially opened as Iran launched dozens of drones that are on their way to Israel right now. All Israel is on lockdown, with residents listening for the sound of air raid sirens that will signal their rush to the safety of bomb shelters.

“I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.” Isaiah 46:13 (KJB)

Iran is calling it ‘Operation True Promise’, and their Revolutionary Guards Corps have stated that Operation ‘True Promise’ is a response to Israeli actions and is part of their strategy to punish Israel for its perceived crimes. According to two regional security sources, Jordan has positioned its air defenses to intercept and destroy any Iranian drones or aircraft that breach its airspace. These sources further indicated that the army is on high alert, with radar systems actively monitoring drone movements. Jordan has also declared a state of emergency in the country. Syria is also on issued an alert and has placed its Russian-made Pantsir ground-to-air defence systems on high alert around the capital and major bases, according to army sources.

Iran launches drone attack on Israel: Israeli military is put on full alert, with warplanes scrambled and school trips cancelled – with two drone waves set to arrive in hours as war in the Middle East threatens to spiral out of control

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Dozens of drones were seen flying from Iran over neighbouring Iraq’s Sulaymaniya province, according to three security sources. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said via state media that it had ‘launched extensive drone strikes against targets in occupied territories.’

Israel said tonight that its airspace was shutting down at 12:30am local time. Iraq also announced it was shutting down its airspace and suspending all air traffic on Saturday.

Iranian media reported that a second wave of drones has been launched, though details of where they currently are aren’t yet known.   The IDF’s spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, said it would take several hours for the drones to arrive in Israel, adding that sirens would be sounded in threatened areas.

The IDF said: ‘The air defense array is on high alert at the same time as the Air Force planes and Navy ships that are on a mission to protect the country’s skies. The IDF is monitoring all targets.

‘We ask the public to adhere to and follow the instructions of the Home Front Command and the official IDF announcements regarding the matter.’ It was reported today that Iran has more than 100 cruise missiles ready to be launched as part of an ‘imminent’ strike against Israel in retaliation for an airstrike against Iran’s embassy in Damascus, Syria.

Announcing increased security measures in Israel during a televised briefing, chief military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said dozens of combat planes were airborne as part of the state of readiness. Starting from 11pm tonight, the strict measures, which include the ban of all ‘educational activities’ across the country, the restriction of working in offices without ‘standard protected spaces’ and limits on the number of people at gatherings’, will be implemented.

Educational activities have been banned across the country, while restrictions on working have been put in place on areas directly next to the Gaza Strip, and other areas in the Gaza Envelope.

Israelis living on the areas next to the Gaza Strip have been banned from meeting outside in groups of more than 30, and are allowed to meet up to 300 people inside buildings. Beaches in the Gaza Envelope have also been closed to the public.  READ MORE

The U.S. has warned Israel that an attack by Iran is “imminent” and could happen as early as Saturday. Iran says the attack will be “retaliation” for an airstrike in Syria that killed several high-ranking Iranian military members. The U.S. has said it will back Israel and when asked if Biden had a message for Iran on Friday, the president simply said, “Don’t!”
