NTEB to supply Victory Baptist Church in Kerrville, Texas, with resources needed for 400 back-to-school backpacks filled with King James Bibles and supplies

The floodwaters that roared through Kerrville, Texas, took the nation by storm as we watched incredible devastation especially at Camp Mystic Christian girls camp where 27 campers and counsellors perished. We were contacted by Pastor Ed from Ranchero Drive Baptist Church with an urgent request for Bibles and we sent out an opening order of 1,000 KJVs. Yesterday we learned about a local community outreach for the children of flood victims that Pastor Cody from Victory Baptist Church wants to conduct, and we offered to help him to bring it to fruition.

Victory Baptist Church wants to hold a community day where they will feed anyone and everyone who comes out, as well as handing out 400 back-to-school backpacks filled with school supplies and, of course, a beautiful new King James Bible. But in order to make that happen, they need a little help, and that’s where NTEB’ers come in. After exchanging dozens of messages back and forth with Pastor Cody, NTEB has offered to provide all the school supplies needed in each backpack as well as the Bibles, 400 in all. These are children and teen Bibles, separate from and in addition to the 1,000 adult Bibles we have already sent out. Total cost for all of this is right around $12,500.00, and the resources mentioned here have already been sent, by faith, to supply the need in Kerrville in time for their event on August 9th. When we started Now The End Begins 16 years ago, never in my wildest imaginings did I ever see a Free Bible Program, much less a Bibles Behind Bars program, and certainly not one where we would be supplying aid, relief and Bibles to assist disaster victims on s large scale. But this is what the Lord has seen fit to use NTEB to accomplish, and it is so exciting to be “in the game” on this level. Please pray for the Kerrville outreach we are helping Victory Baptist with, pray for Pastor Cody, and pray for healing for all the people who will come on that day for food and much-needed school supplies for their children. Today we are sending out 1,000 King James Bibles to 2 Baptist Churches in Kerrville, Texas where the flood is, and are planning on sending food, clothing and supplies as well

Shortly before the start of the Podcast today, I had a phone call with Pastor Ed from Ranchero Drive Baptist Church in Kerrville, Texas. His church is just southeast of where the flood took place over the weekend. He told me that his church, as well as Victory Baptist Church just northwest of the river, have a very high need for King James Bibles. So we are sending out an emergency order of 1,000 Bibles that’s being processed today, and preparing to help meet whatever needs they have in the coming weeks just like we did in Asheville, North Carolina.

The NTEB Relief Convoy, created during the North Carolina floods and headed up by NTEB’er Charlie On the Hwy, is likely going to once again be pressed into service. As emergency and recovery efforts in Texas begin to wrap up over the next few days and weeks, there is going to be a tremendous need for food, clothing, clean water, personal supplies and baby diapers. Last year we sent 100,000lbs of those items up to Asheville, and will likely need to do at least that again. We need your help to do all this. The 1,000 Bibles going out today costs right around $4,000, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Please pray about joining us here at NTEB as we set out to assist the people in Kerrville, Texas.

Maybe you’re celebrating the 4th of July with fireworks, but at Bibles Behind Bars we are rejoicing for this massive open door of Bible outreach the Lord has given us

When it rains, it pours, and requests for Bibles in English, Spanish and Ukrainian are pouring in this week. I just got this email from Bro. Jean and he writes “I am right now in Odessa, Ukraine handing out and placing Chick tracts in the Russian and the Ukrainian language. We sure could use some more Ukranian Bibles, thank you in advance!” Talk about a ‘letter from the front’, that’s about as real deal as it gets. We are boxing up his request right now, and looking at 3 new jails who just joined the ‘Triple B’ family.

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11 (KJB)

The Hardin County Detention Center in Elizabethtown, Kentucky needs King James Bibles. Chaplain Joshua Shaffer wrote and told us “At this facility there are 648 beds but there more inmates than that due to them having to sleep in canoes so it would be close to around 700 inmates. We would take whatever amount of Bibles the Lord would provide for us. Thank you!” Inmates sleeping in canoes? Just imagine how precious a Bible would be to an inmate sleeping in a canoe, more precious than fine gold.

The Joe Corley Processing Center in Conroe, Texas needs Spanish Bibles. Chaplain Daigle writes saying “At our Facility, we have a large Spanish population, and we are in need of Spanish Bibles, Thank you.”

Leake County Correctional in Carthage, Mississippi needs King James Bible as well as devotional reading material. Chaplain Vasquez writes and says “We are a super regional with 450 county and state inmates both male and female. The inmates are very hungry for The Word and a good Bible to draw closer to God. It is becoming harder to receive donated Bibles as many sources aren’t supplying any until next year. Your support will be very much appreciated by the inmates and staff.” Another one of the dozens of jails who have been abandoned by their previous Bible suppliers who now turn to Bibles Behind Bars in near desperation for supplies. Praise the Lord we can meet the need!!
